"The raindrops are my bath water. I would never turn on the water back home to wash myself..." Come to think of it, do tree houses even have water? Peanut chuckled at the thought and let his guard down. "There is no one taking care of me. I live on my own. In my tree house in the forest..with my cat."

His eyes lit up when a castle was mentioned. Peanut remembered reading about it in story books in class. "Castle... In a castle.. I want to be someone who won't get laughed at. A king? Maybe?" His hooves started to dig around the hole a bit as he started to attempt to build a higher wall made of sand.

"Your life sounds super," Muck said with just a little bit of envy in his voice but paused with a tilt in his head. He frowned, "Laughed at? Does someone laugh at you?" That bit of information didn't make the bab happy. Laughing with someone was great and Swamp Net loved to laugh with his siblings every chance he got.

But laughing at someone was mean. And Swamp Net didn't want anyone being mean to his new friend.

"I guess...." he trailed off, watching his classmate build a wall with him. At least now he has a shield to stay out of other phnoies' line of sights.

He looked back at Swamp, quite glad that he was not being laughed at. "Well.. maybe it is just my imagination.. I always have a feeling they would laugh at me for looking...different... But you.. you are kind."

Muck would have blushed if he wasn't feeling so indignant on behalf of Peanut. He puffed out his chest in an attempt to look big and strong, "Well I think you're cool! And iffin' anyone, anyone laughs at you just lemme know and I'll... I'll..." Muck wasn't sure what he'd do. "Shake off mud on them and get 'em dirty so they gotta take a bath!" He held out a hoof towards Peanut, "I promise!"

He will do what? Peanut wondered. "You will bury them in the ground with their head sticking out for laughing at me?" he asked in bemusement and quickly realised that was too mean. "Err.. yes shake them good until they get dizzy...?"

Seeing the green classmate put out a hoof towards him, he felt touched. "Y-you really p-promise?" he asked like any innocent little bab would ask a phony older than them. Reaching out to touch Swamp Net's hoof, he looked him straight in the eyes. "WHEN I GET OLDER AND STRONGER I WILL COME FIND YOU AND GIVE YOU A JAR OF PEANUTS AS THANKS" he shouted at the green colt. He just wanted to make sure his classmate could hear him clearly. "B-but...how do I find you years later..?" he asked, a little bit disappointed at not knowing where either of them will be in a few years time.

Swamp Net didn't so much as flinch at the sudden increase in Peanut's volume. The other bab's enthusiasm was infectious and Muck just grinned hugely, "Deal! I'll look forward to that!" Also he liked food so that was always welcome.

At the question of being able to find each other, Muck looked thoughtful. "We don't have to lose touch. We can stay friends always even after school lets out!" It made the most sense to the bab.
