Her wings fluttered excitedly behind her and she couldn't help but walk over to him and nudge his neck in a sort of hug before walking over to smell some of the flowers. "Thank you again for bringing me here. It's truly beautiful." She said to him, her voice soft and full of thanks. She was truly amazed at the beauty of the area. "Do you have any siblings?" She figured that would be an easy question to start out with.

He nodded, "aye. I have one sister that I know of. It's been some time since I've seen my mother." It had been some time since he'd thought about his family. He always thought he and his sister were a bit odd from their parents, although his mother had always done her best by them. Now that he was thinking about them, he wondered how they were getting along. Maybe he should try to look up his mother at least. "You?"

"At least you know you have family." She said with a flutter of her wings. She couldn't recall any family and shook her head. "No, I don't have any family that I remember." She said wishing she knew if she had anyone out there. Though she hadn't really thought about it too much since it wasn't something she had ever really thought to be important since she never had anyone around. "What are your parents like?"

"I'm sorry. It must be hard not to know who to look for, if you ever wanted to find your family."
He shook his head. "I don't really remember. My father I never knew, or at least I can't remember him. My mother I only stayed with a short time. She's a unicorn. Very kind and sweet." He glanced at his wings. His mother didn't have wings, so clearly they had come from his father. At least that much he knew!

She was thankful for his words. "I never really thought much about looking for them since they were never part of my life. It's hard to miss something you never had." She said with a flutter of her wings and she listened as he talked about his family. "Your mother sounds very lovely. It's a shame your father wasn't around much to see what a charming male you are."

"Maybe some day you will find them?" He could understand her point of view. Look at him! He had had a family, and left it, never thinking about them about she brought it up.
"Thank you." He would have blushed if he could have, "I can only hope he'd have been proud of me." Would his father have accepted him as he was or tried to "macho" him up? He would never know. Awkwardly he scuffed his hoof against the turf.
"You don't have a family now, but you could make your own." She always had that option. It wouldn't be the same as knowing her parents, but she could have closeness and love. He knew she'd be great at it.

Perhaps, she wasn't going to hold her breath on it though. She wasn't even sure if she'd be happy or care. She just wasn't sure how she'd feel. "I'm sure he would be proud of you." She said in reassurance. Who wouldn't be? She hadn't really given that too much thought, she would like to have a family it would be nice but she wasn't ready to settle down. "I'm just not ready to find someone to settle down with. I'd love to have children of my own but it would be hard to find someone who is okay with it not being a permanent arrangement." Though she hadn't really gone about trying to ask random strangers if they'd be willing to have children with her. "It's not exactly a conversation starter."

"I know that feeling." He hadn't met many mares that he wanted to spend a lot of time with. And none had really been interested in foals when he had met them. Not that he wanted to be like his father and leave them before the baskets were even woven. He didn't want to settle down and didn't want to be a one night stand. That left him with mighty few options.
"Indeed." There did seem to be few in between statuses. He had to laugh, "true that! Not to worry. All in due time I'm sure."

At least he understood how she was feeling about the whole thing. "Do you think someone could just be friends with someone and have a kid?" She had never really considered the idea too much before and now that she was thinking about it she wondered if that could ever really happen. "I'm sorry if this isn't something you want to talk about, I just couldn't help but ask since it was bouncing around in my head." She said to him.

AstoriaFallen How do you feel about wrapping this rp up? We can start something different for them.
"Not to worry Amadahy. Whatever you want to talk about is fine with me." He glanced around and realized it was getting late. "It'll be dark soon. Do you want to stay at my place for the night?"

magnadearel we can probably wrap it up yea. She gave a nod of her head. That seemed reasonable. "That sounds lovely, thank you for the offer." She said when he asked if she wanted to stay with him for the night. "You only have but to lead the way and I shall follow you." She gave him a warm smile and a flutter of her wings as she waited to follow his guidance.

He was pleased and almost a bit surprised when she readily agreed. Narakray suddenly worried if his place was suitable for a lady's visit. Too late to back out now! He nodded awkwardly and looked around as if confused for a moment. "Ah right." Getting his bearing he headed out of the grotto and toward home.
