Dianthe took dance as a break from her hard classes, taking time to unwind and get a bit of exercise. She had enjoyed learning all of the basics and knew almost exactly what prop she wanted to use when the assignment had been given. When the day came for her to perform, Dianthe produced a wrap covered in little bells and tinkling coins, wrapping it around her hips and middle, adding matching wristlets and anklets. Her style of dance was a slower one, but required a lot of fluid movements. She glided around her space when the music started, rolling her hips with her arms twisting languidly. The noises her props made went with the track she picked, and she felt her performance time went by faster than when she had practiced. She bowed a little when she was done, removing the accessories before returning to where everyone was sitting for the next student to perform.

With so few entries again I think I'll wait to change the assignment again! I really want to see a few more of these! I'll go ahead and pass Dianthe as well, since I never really 'closed' the thread or anything! So you get an early pass for July!

Raving was one of Honey's favourite and only past-times, so they had quickly chosen dance as an elective. When the teacher produced a number of props for them to use, Honey eyed them curiously. After a few moments they realised what they wanted wasn't in the pile, and so Honey pulled out a number of glow-sticks they always kept handy in their bag. Tying them together loosely, Honey strolled to the front of the room with a grin. Having arranged the music to be upbeat and bass-heavy, they flicked the lights off and performed a rather unusual light show, the glow-sticks and Honey's body ever-moving in the relatively faint light they put off. The bright colours whirled in the darkness, the after-light left behind them forming flowing shapes burnt into the air.

Jericho had signed up for Dance to be a sort of... moral support for Kindle. Oh, how wrong he was. Dance was like, Kindle's thing. Even though she was painfully shy other places, she seemed perfectly comfortable here. He should've known... she was a Fey after all. Meanwhile, he felt like he wanted to fade into the background with each passing second. Showing off like this was not really his style... Fakir could barely get him to sing in front of him and Kindle!
Still, he'd chosen a silk wand, since he'd be able to distract the others with the colorful fabric flying through the air as he did a few simple spins and twists to some slow music. Once it was over he was sure his face was so red he looked like a tomato... but at least he'd survived?

Eyes gleaming in anticipation, Binhdi had barely waited for the teacher to finish explaining the assignment for the day before heading for the props to root around. And to her utter delight, she found a set of glowing poi buried near the bottom. Seizing them at once, she got them properly into her hands and activated the glow once it was her turn.
Then, after selecting some hard thumping electronica, the tall imp began to dance, the poi tracing patterns of light around her as she moved. Once her dance was over, she was panting, but grinning happily.
"These," she gasped as she held up her prop, "are poi. And they are awesome. Which is why I picked 'em."
Left out was that poi could also be set on fire for even flashier effects. But she'd rather thought the teacher wouldn't appreciate her dance incorporating fire alarms.

Natsumi decided to do a modern dance piece with a cardboard box, her music was playful and whimsical. Natsumi put the box down and gracefully rolled about the box than mimed looking for something in the box, then pulled out an imaginary treasure, then Natsumi lifted the box and twirled around and then put the box back down and sat in it for a moment and pretended to be driving a race car, the piece she had created was so much fun. Natsumi then jumped out of the box and fear on her face pretending the box was a beast or monster, she ran across the stage and then turned around gathering her courage faced the beast and flipped the box, then finished the piece falling down next to the box as the music ended.

Hmm Aleis wasn’t sure exactly why they were taking dance, but it was an elective and Aleis assumed it would be pretty fun. They weren’t always completely in sync with most of the other class but they managed to match up their steps at least a little bit more than half the class. Personally Aleis found the class a bit fun, and they got to get up and move instead of sitting at a desk or the like.

Mai wasn’t really doing all that well at keeping in sync with the other dancers in the class but then again it was her first time dancing ever. Luckily everyone seemed to be trying to match their own steps with the rest of the class and music and weren’t making fun of the fact she was stepping out of sync a lot. However she was having fun and that was the important part.

Akylan was actually rather disappointed in his performance. This was usually the kind of dancing he did, and for some reason or another he couldn't quite keep up as well as he thought he could. Maybe he was going a little too fast? Of course, in hip-hop there was usually one person who stood out from the group in some form or another, and in a way he was used to being that person, but he definitely should have been able to do better than he did. He'd have to work on it more. He just hoped that Kimi hadn't seen how terrible he did.

Amethyst felt so silly, she shouldn't have signed up for this dance class. She attempted to keep up, but she was having a hard time keeping in sync with the other dancers in the class.

Syth was really shy when he walked into the dance class. He didn't think he would be good at dancing, but he found it remarkably easy to dance in with the other students. Feeling the music through his body, it made Syth happy. He still didn't think a career in dancing would be his thing, but it was nice.

Natsumi was very pleased that she hadn't missed many steps dancing with the rest of the class. Dancing was very important to Natsumi and she loved it dearly. She intended to take dance class again, during senior year.

Feeling just a tad desperate, Thomas signed up for Dance class. HE didn't know what he was thinking coming into a class late, but he, surprisingly, didn't do too badly. Only missing a few steps out of the dance, Thomas regained a little bit of his self-esteem.

Dancing was Nashira's favorite pastime. She did it to keep her body in shape so she didn't just focus on her mind and studies. She was interested in the steps being taught. When they started, it was easy, slow and smooth movements, it was easy to keep in sync with the other students, but as they had to dance faster and faster, it became harder to keep in step with the others. She did her best, even if by the end she couldn't keep up. Litches just didn't move as quickly as this dance required, but she still had fun.
