Noodle's Future Name: Aq'ilus Phipri Gaia Username: mewmew kittykat94 Answer #1: "Alright, let's be honest Mr. Merman - you're attractive! Tell me, is it the same reaction below the surface, or is your appearance just striking to us up here? If your are just as attractive underwater - how does that make you feel?"
Aq'ilus let out a laugh at the question, kind of expecting it, "Thank you for the compliment," he said as he tried to stifle the next laugh. It was common, yet he always found it amusing. "I wouldn't say that I'm that attractive, but it isn't the first time I've been told that in- or out-of-water. What about you? How would you feel if I told you that you're attractive?" the mernoodle gave a wide grin. Maybe he was fishing for a reaction. Maybe he needed an excuse for a bad pun. He wouldn't deny either, but way he was enjoying himself nonetheless. "Not to sound cocky, but the merfolk are pretty attractive. It's a competition down under the sea. So with that in mind, I do enjoy being looked at just as much as the next mer..." He gave a small pause, "Though that's not to say the land dwellers aren't attractive, just less colorful. More muted tones with more emphasis on markings."
Answer #2: "Can you see the same amount of colors as land-noodles?"
The interviewer's follow up made him pause, making him c**k his head to the side for a moment. He tapped his cheek a few times, trying to pull some phrasing out of the air, "Hmmm, well, I think the best way to explain that is that we see the same amount of colors, but the intensity is different. Every speck of color has it's moment in the sun, so to speak." He ran his tail along the water's surface, pulling his eyes away to take a glance. To him, each scale was more vivid than the next, their surface spinning their own tale of colors, he wasn't sure what anyone else could really see though. "Color is important for the tropical communities, especially because that's one of the first steps in finding a mate. Though the more into open ocean you travel, the mer-noodles see less and less color, more-so for the abysmal merfolk. Though, you don't see them too often." "That aside, I can't be completely certain without seeing things through your eyes. Color me curious though," he said with a laugh, his smile gleaming just as his scales did.

Noodle's Future Name: Krystian Gaia Username: Kivras Answer #1: "Merman, noodle, Mr.Mernoodle, do you have a favorite Pokemon? If you do, which do you feel most closely connected to, and why?"
A few moments pass between the question and Krys' answer. For a moment he had no idea what he was being asked, but the way his expression changed and his gills seemed to flitter, the realization dawned on him.
"O-oh! The Creatures that the landwalkers seem to be fond of? Part of...what they call a 'game'?" He smiles, crossing his paws. "Well....I had seen one called...'Milotic'? From what I understood, it began as ugly, but once enough love and care was put into it, it became a much more beautiful creature." A chuckle escaped him, his tail splashing the water just enough to send a soft spray of water towards the interviewer.
"Like Milotic, I have started out...undesireable. And though I have yet to meet my goal, Hopefully one day I can become desired. And, of course, strong."
Answer #2: "Interesting. Now, for the real question - Is this the first time you've been above sea-level, or have you been out and about before? If you haven't, why have you waited so long, but if you have, then what was that experience like?"
"Of course not!" Another chuckle and he rolls onto his back, hair gathering a crust of sand, though if it bothers him, he doesn't show it. "I venture close to, and onto, land quite often. I find the landwalkers' way of life utterly fascinating."
Another few moments go by before he continues.
"My first time up, however, wasn't as pleasant as I thought it would be. I found out quickly that the landwalkers have a tendency to be...erm...violent towards things that are new. But, in their defense..." Rolling until he's upright again, he tilts his head to one side. "I did simply jump out of the water. See, It was a bet between my brothers and I. The first one out won seventy pink pearls. See, pink pearls are rather like 'currency' down there, and the pink have the most value."
"Er, anyways, I needed the pearls for...a reason, that's not important, so I took them up on their offer. Up through the water's surface I went, and landed on a beach!" The memory does bring a smile to his face. "Ah, the first time I felt the sunlight on my fur and my scales...It was beyond words, it felt...Well, you had to be me in that moment."
Smile fading, Krys sighs heavily. "Unfortunately, I had forgotten to look before I leaped. I managed to land in front of a landwalker that...may or may not keep bricks in their bag. From the way it felt in connection with my head...." Shuddering, he waves a paw. "Long story short, I got smacked, and as a result I retreated. I didn't get the pearls, as my brothers didn't count less than five minutes on land as a 'win'. But, with the way the land looked at the time, I wanted to come up again."
"And I did. I make it a habit, now. Really, you landwalkers are so amusing!"
