Despite how the conversation had started, Alkaid was pleased to see that she had been able to snag Cinnabar's attention. Energy and power meant a lot to those who had spent any amount of measurable time within the ranks of the Negaverse. To Alkaid, personally, it was worth giving up the useless chunks of rock for Metallia's strengthening if it meant they would be able to spare Earth itself from more damage.

Though she cared for very little, she stood by her word belief that Earth, above all, was their greatest duty. Expel the Senshi menace and save the last thing in the universe worth saving. It was the mark of the truly devout to give up everything they held dear to atone for the sins of senshi past. Had she other worlds, other stars, to give - she would have. All she could do now was prune the souls that would follow her path and pave it so that they might walk it more easily.

Metallia would be stronger than she had ever been, if Alkaid had her way.

"The problem is that this project is in the Rift. While I've earned a certain level of immunity, I can't really rely upon the corrupts in our employ to be of any use there." She didn't have to explain why, most certainly not to a half-youma. The rift was full of ravenous, hungry creatures. "I need strong Generals to lead reconnaissance teams in search of a few missing pieces that I think are being guarded by some rather.. peculiar youma. They're very dangerous, and so far as I can tell, they aren't very likely to obey orders from any of us."

Cin's face eased and a hint of a smile flirted with the corners of her mouth.

"I see now, why you want my help." She mused as she watched the little, cracked corrupted with knowing eyes. Going into the rift? No one better suited to be guide and protector than a half-youma agent, in her mind. Whatever monsters the senshis' aura drew, her own reputation might chase away before conflict became necessary. Few youma cared to be swallowed, she'd come to find. Most avoided her with intense dislike.

"If you are asking me to join you... my answer is yes. But its conditional." The General said as she lifted her head, her horns cutting through the chill air. She studied the other with her red black eyes, expression serious and challenging. "If I help you... you keep your fine nose out of my business with Kam."

There was no give to her tone, no room for argument.

"I think our goals with him are aligned; he needs to be kept ignorant and away from the war. But I'm not going to stop seeing him and I'd prefer to know you aren't peeping through the windows while I'm with him." She smirked as her tail flicked, her head cocked at a playful angle. Not that she really thought Alkaid was a peeping tom, but being stopped like this again, or getting a lecture, as not something she wanted. Or having the blonde try to step between them, ruin the short time she could spare... it was unacceptable.

Conditional.

The word made Alkaid's eyebrows raise just slightly as she stared up into the bright, bloody eyes of the General. Yet what she said next was less concerning than she had anticipated and Alkaid met the words with a faintly amused smile.

"I really don't care what you do with him for a few hours a week, Cinnabar, so long as you continue to keep our goals aligned." There was no accusation there, but a simple caution underlying her tone. Alkaid had been around a long time and, even if she was somewhat above human emotions, she knew what it felt like to be attached. She still was, in some part - to Labyrinthite, to Hematite, to the few memories that never waned with time as others did. She knew the way attachments changed things.

"And I can assure you, I most certainly don't want to see it."

She turned then, half away, now that she had the answer she wanted. Cinnabar was the second and last General she needed - the rest of her necessities were a simple call away.

"I'll contact you when it's time."

The half-youma smirked as she watched the ascended turn to go, giving her a once over for curiosity's sake. She wasn't bad to look at, though the cracks were weird. It she really was planning to stay out of it, then Cin was content. Even pleased to get to participate in something to advance the goals of the Negaverse.

"Until then, General." She said as she gave a cocky salute and disappeared, the breeze of her leaving stirring up debris in the street where she had stood.
