Tallulah capped the bottle and put it back on top of the fridge. "Your loss," she said, fluttering her eyelashes at him - but she didn't feel like arguing with him on the matter. He'd go home and do whatever it was he did when she wasn't spooning him, and she'd go cuddle with Nick, and it would all be very non-dramatic.

"Aw, thanks," she said, doing her best to only roll her eyes a little bit. That was Elzo, all right - incapable of being sincere without some kind of sophomoric crack. "I really wanted to be a good leader, though," she added, sighing. "Realizing I was ******** terrible at it was a great tragedy of my young life. I thought it was the only way to be successful."

But hey, she'd done okay for herself since coming to her senses.

"Finish getting dressed," she suggested gently. "I'll see you out."

"Humility is a virtue," replied Tallulah, holding his belt out to him. "And really - it's no problem. Friends have to stick together, right?"

She held the front door open for him.
