Was she lost again? It seemed so, but at least the creature was gone. It was time to circle back and keep moving.

Finally getting her bearings, Nerisei waited for the beast to come. It came up, all shadow and excitement, and clearly wanted more love than blood. Giving it a pat on the head, the dryad moved to scoop up the shadow before returning to X. Grabbing candy in exchange, she nodded and made way to head home.
It was a strange night, but looking back, it was quite entertaining. But maybe next year, she would sit back and watch.
