Butch would not shut up at the polite attention he was receiving and it made it difficult for Lawr to think over the noise. "Oh it is certainly not deserted, you will find it is often hard to find a quiet place to think, particularly once you move into the dormitories."
He did not seem phased at all by the unusual greeting from Melody but instead leaned to take the fingers of the outstretched hand and kiss the back of it with a polite smile.
"Enchanté" he said as he stood back up straight.
"I am Lawrence, good luck to you Melody. My room is on the second floor."
He resisted the desire to wish her good fortune, that her name would not bring her the same ill fate as the other Melody he had known.

Melody curtseyed politely, "thank you for all of your help Lawrence."
She turned away and grabbed one of the pamphlets so graciously offered by the door and after a few moments, found the Cove on the map. She continued out the door and on her way to a new adventure and her new life.
