He watched her take another swig of coffee, curious to why she would still want to drink something she didn’t even like. Maybe it was the same reason he just never went to sleep.
“I really appreciate the offer Abbi, but that would be a horrible unsafe idea. I would fall asleep and probably never wake up for hours and not only would I be in trouble but getting you in trouble as well.” That wasn’t the entire truth but as much as he was willing to say to her but he did whole-heartedly appreciate his friend’s concern for him. She shouldn’t need to worry about him.
“I swear, cross my heart, that I will be in bed at least by eleven pm tonight and I don’t have to be up until six am, that’s at least seven hours of sleep.” Mostly sleeping. He had the most sincere smile on his face he could possibly give her as he made an x across his chest.
