Ime's profession would mean a lot of travel. A lot of inns and tents. Still, wouldn't it be nice to have a place to call home? Just one place. Heck, it could even be in one of the cities where there was a crossroads. Maybe she wouldn't have to travel so much! oh, there were so many possibilities that she was growing excited over her shyness.
"Ah...rent? Probably rent? I mean, we haven't lived together really, we're still so new, but yes, something big. Maybe Alkidike-sized. I don't know what's up for rent around here, but do we even want to be around here?" She stood nevertheless and linked her arm with Thorn's. "First, I think, to the tailor."

"Well not nessesarily around here I guess, I just supposed you would want to live in the same town as your mother." He opened the door for them as they headed to the tailor. "Alk sized? Do you really think?" He grinned, flattered that he was large enough to warrant such an abode. He peered at the buildings around him with a warm curiosity. That was a cute house as was that one over there. He had never been fitted for clothes before, well besides his own mother. It would prove to be a most interesting experience for him. He wondered if Ime would choose the fabric for him, it was her after all who would see him in it why not?

Ime felt an odd sort of bubbliness in her heart and leaned against Thorn as they walked.
"Well, I'll have to travel for work. It'd be nice to live around here, but maybe some day I'd like to settle down in some hub. You know? Not have to move around so much." She wasn't really looking at the houses. She had no idea what was for sale and what wasn't. She'd need to ask around.
When the pair arrived at the tailor's abode, the door was open. Ime had spent a good amount of time here with her friends when they were younger. Fashion had been something of a passion of hers, or more so the bright colors and fancy dangly bits. She smiled and waved to the older woman sitting nearby with a needle and thread, and the woman stopped to stand and greet them.
"Ime, hello! And who is this?"
"This is--!" Was 'Thorn' even his real name? "--Thorn!"
The Wind woman gave a knowing look and nodded. "What can I do for you dears?"

"A cloak, two shirts and perhaps some longer pants?" He asked, gazing at Ime inquiringly, "Do you think that will be warm enough?" At least they were not residing in Zena for the moment. He dug in a pocket for some coins, he probably had enough but he had never bought clothes before. The shop was rather fascinating with the accoutrements of a seamstress and tailor, quite interesting. The coins he had gotten from the war effort for his service, a patron had left many leafling warriors with a little extra coin in their pockets.

"That can be done," the woman nodded, stooping gently to get a look at ho much coin he might produce. Ime thought it might not be enough and so reached into her own pouch as well.
"I think so," the young hybrid said. The cloak would be nice for bitter days, but she'd bet Thorn would grow used to the temperatures here just as she had acclimated to Jauhar. "How much, Enfalda?"
The woman quoted a price and Ime turned to Thorn. Did he want her to help?

Thorn looked down at his handful of coins. He could not pay for it all with coins won solely from legitimate work. And he would not spend those anymore unless they were in desperate desperate need. "How much for the cloak the pants and one shirt?" He asked, holding his handful of coin out to Enfalda, "Will this cover it?" He would not ask for Ime's help in this, the clothing was for him after all. He would have to find work, to restore his coffers soon. Perhaps someone needed wood or other heavy labor that was simply easier when you were blessed with giant size as he was.

Thorn would not likely see the look Ime gave the seamstress; furrowed brow, thoughtful pout, definitive nod. She'd cover the rest. Her man didn't have much work and it was all her fault. Enfalda glanced up at Ime, caught her drift, and took a picking of coin's from Thorn's hands, leaving a fair few. Having connections helped here. More than once Ime and her mother had delivered cloth and clothing from Enfalda to other settlements, reaping a fair gain for the expert seamstress.
"I think that'll be quite enough, dear," she said and gestured for Thorn to come with her. "Let's get you measured up. You're quite a large one, aren't you?"

Thorn nodded satisfied and pocketed the rest of the money, and demurely followed the woman to be measured. He looked a little concernedly at Ime, he wasn't used to being touched by any woman but her and his own mother. So he stood stock still while he was examined. But the lady was gentle. "I am yes, not exactly sure why I was chosen to be so tall but well it has its perks." Eventually the measurments were all taken and he relaxed a little and scooted back to Ime the moment he was free. It was safer over there, less chance of needle pokes as it were.

Enfalda took down the measurements on a slip of parchment with Ime's name at the top, not Thorn's. It would help her remember just who she was helping lest she experience a slip of the mind. Of course these numbers were larger than most in ways that didn't speak for obesity. It'd be an odd job, that was for certain.
While she worked, Ime inquired as to three different numbers, which she set to memory. When Thorn was set loose again, Ime left the spot she had been standing to talk with the seamstress, discussing some fair amount of fabric and is price. Enfalda added the remainder of Thorn's bill to the usual price of such a textile and cut and folded it for Ime to take.
Finally she smiled up to Thorn and took his hand. "I'll make you something for the meantime," she said, lifting her new bundle slightly. "I'm not great, but warmth is warmth!"

"Well my dear if you sew clothes like you sew people back together then I will be most honored to wear what you make." He nodded at the seamstress, "Thank you." He followed his woman out, lead by the hand out into the brisk air. Ime was going to make him something to keep him warm, she was very kind and this was evidence she cared for him. But she was a caring woman his Ime. He adored her for it. "Thank you Ime, I know next to nothing about it, sewing..fabric all of it." He waved a hand encompassing it all, while the other hand massaged hers with his thumb.

"I don't," Ime replied with a little laugh. It was true. Suturing was far different than sewing and she was much less proficient at the latter. Enfalda nodded and smiled as the pair left.
"Of course." There was a silence, one that weighed heavy on Ime's mind. After a while she left out a breath of air, not having realized that she was holding it. "Thorn, can we stop somewhere? And talk?"

"Of course," this was it, the talk, but oddly he wasn't worried so much. "Perhaps that field over there the tight scrabble of bushes may give us some cover." They walked and he swallowed any nerves, ladies liked to talk about..stuff. He had already promised to provision himself honestly and thieve for the benefit of the less fortunate..so there were few other ...topics. Ahem. Conveniently there was a rock handy. "A seat for you my lady." Perhaps not the most comfortable but better then standing, he could act as a windbreak for her while she talked.

Cover? Did he really feel like they needed cover? Ime would gladly have sat off a ways from the town center and talked. She didn't plan on leaving him, and they hadn't... done things that might lead to a more dramatic conversation. She just wanted to know about them.
She walked with Thorn to the area nonetheless and gracefully accepted the seat offered. She was no porcelain doll! A little rock-sitting wasn't far from her norm. Ime smiled and put the folds of fabric in her lap, placed her hands thereon, and then smiled.
"I love you." It was a good precursor.

"I love you too," he smiled at her. He would never grow tired of her saying it either. He knelt before her awaiting her questions, the ones he could see in her eyes like an aqua storm brewing on a bright sea.
"Talk", Patience Thorn. He kept quiet letting her come to her own courage. He enfolded her tiny hands in his own. Keeping his warm, would he get used to the wind? She seemed to be unbothered by the squall.

Ime continued smiling. It wasn't a scary conversation, but Thorn seemed undoubtedly scared. They had both come a long way in even such a short time. She clasped her hands in his and gave a gentle sigh.
"I want to know what we are, Thorn. To figure it out together. A couple, I know, but... what about the future? Where are we? I can't imagine living without you; our homes are so far apart, but we're so new. So what does it mean?" They were going to have to discuss it. This wasn't something to be decided alone.
