Many winters had come and passed in the Elder's life. She had found happiness in her loving mate, beautiful children, and all her wonderful friendships. But as her footfalls stopped, her gaze moved to the bright star while she shed a silent tear.
Closing her eyes she wished deeply as her voice spoke calm and true, "I have experienced everything that brought me joy, sorrow, and wonder, but the biggest thing is still missing. I come to you this very night and ask a simple plea." Pausing she opened her eyes as she laid the Snow white feather upon the alter. "Please bring my brother home.... he's been gone for so many winters. I will never give up hope of finding him no matter how many seasons pass... I know he's out there for I hear his voice upon the wind".
Closing her wise eyes once more she then nodded with a flick of her ear as the winter breeze played through her silken white tresses that cascaded around her neck. She then began walking slowly toward her home with her little wolf by her ankles, "Someday Celenduin...."

Short IC Response: The spirits had been clear in their intentions, if she wanted to ensure that things would progress as they should, she needed to embrace the unknown. Ah, but she had only met him once or twice before, their encounters fleeting and perhaps even forgettable in his eyes... but there had been something about him. The anarchist had brought chaos to her world, and yet it hadn't been entirely unwelcome, if anything, it had been desperately needed.
While he need not know, she needed to make this gamble and it had to be at his expense. Sometimes, in order to create change, one needed to do so by force.
Thus she turned her gaze towards the stars and made her wish, a quiet request to the spirits and the more mischevous among them. She needed help to breathe new life into her herd, and for that she needed just a little dash of chaos...

The trio hustled together, staring up at the star shining high overhead. Sakura cast an eye over Rhode, who seemed highly uncomfortable and just wanted to hurry up with this. "Dear star, this time last year Casper and I made a wish to bring back our brother, Rhode, and you did. We are so grateful to you for bringing our family back together." The pink mare stepped backwards, leaving the space clear for Casper. The grey stallion cleared his throat, barely hoping to believe that this might work a second time. "But our whole family isn't reunited yet, please, help to bring back the rest of them, we don't want to be scattered all over the lands..." Casper moved aside, hoping that Rhode would step in and say something as well. The stallion shot them an uncomfortable glare before casting his eyes downwards, wondering if he truly deserved to be reunited with them all, after all, he was the one who had destroyed them. His throat locked up and he couldn't speak, but the hand on his tail did the job for him. It gently reached around and picked up the bouquet of flowers they had collected and placed them down under the gentle starlight. For once, the hand was on his side. It then promptly slapped Rhode on the behind for refusing to participate.

My Long Lost Family Member

Anya honestly couldn't believe herself for doing this. It was absurd! Talking to NOTHING! Perhaps she had truly lost it in her years as her children often claimed.
But yet, here she was. Feathers laid out before her, a deep cut in her arm still bleeding out.
Lately as her daughters moved further and further away, cutting out their lives for themselves in this land Anya had started getting more and more lonely. It caused her to seek out males to spend the night with, hell, she even had fallen in love with one! She was content for a time, happy that she had someone to be there with her.
But he too had left in the end after things had gone extremely sour.
Anya was back to square one. Her children only being able to stand her popping in and visiting for so long before they polity asked her to leave, and too be honest, she understood them wanting to be on their own without their watchful mother nearby. She however was not use to not having at least some sort of company around her. Whether it be her clan or her twin sister, The Flock when she was a member, her children, or her former mates. Anya looking back might have preferred to keep at a reasonable distance but she was never truly alone.
Since Anya didn't have anyone to speak with most of the time anymore she had been reflecting more and more on her past life and her actions. A nagging little thought for the past few weeks had been popping in her head as she drifted in her memories. She had only had two family members still alive when she left to go join the drifting nomantic Flock. Her mother who by now had easily died of old age and her sister, her dear sister.
Regretfully they had not parted ways on the best terms. Anya and her sister had near constant battles going on between them as they were rivals to take over their mother's role as head keeper of the perceived ancient and powerful harpy ruins and artifact said to come from the original flock born from the birth mother of all harpies. Whether it was completely true or not was not what mattered, it was their assigned duty and the whole clan's sole purpose for decades to protect the ruins with their lives. What they had was a friendly rivalry until they pushed closer and closer to the age where they would have final contest for the role. A rift formed between the once close sisters more and more till finally they clashed it out in true harpy fashion with a one-on-one battle till either death or one of the sisters willingly surrendered.
Anya had lost the final deciding fight when she was knocked unconscious. Her sister was not willing to kill her, so their mother had proclaimed forfeit by default. Her status dropped after the fight down to a mere servant to her sister. Which her younger more hot headed self was not willing accept gracelessly like was expected. Thus, she left her isolated home and as history goes eventually joined The Flock and traveled with them to Soquili. Anya had started regretting her past choices in leaving her family in such a way. But lately there had been a nagging little thought that she wanted to know just how they were doing. How was her sister dealing with her new role and the responsibility that came with it? How had the clan in general fared over the years? Did her sister live a much more happier, fuller life than what she had lived? Or...perhaps worst outcome of all was her twin even still alive?
At first she was able to brush it off, but it had just kept growing till it had become a consuming thought that plagued her. She had become more irritable than normal with just how much it was bothering her not knowing! It had gotten to the point that it was something the normally aloof mare started to care deeply about.
Thus here she was. Anya was at the end of her rope, after all, it wasn't very logical to just travel half way across the continent content simply to pop in and go, "Oh hey sis, been a while. Still alive? Good. Doing okay? Cool. Kay, thanks, that's all I needed to know. Toodles~!"
Not that she would be welcomed in that territory far enough to come face-to-face with her sibling anyways.
She had heard rumors about the mysterious deity who blessed people with long lost family members or children to those unable to have them. It had crossed her mind a few times prior to use such a powerful being to grant the answers she wanted but her pride had kept her from fully committing to the ritual though.
Till these last few sleepless nights when the endless nightmares caused by her worry and guilt kept her tossing and turning till Anya's pride finally cracked and she broke down. She couldn't stand not knowing anymore. If this blasted star didn't work she would have to make the long pilgrimage back home for a quick check up on her sister. Wasn't like she had anything better to do at the moment, and it was better than the latter option which was let this eat up at her till she went insane.
"Ah, I don't know how to start this off. I suppose....Hey, How are you will do?" Scoffing she shook her head. Asking a star how it was doing. She was honestly glad for once she was alone other wise members of her family might take her in to the nearest healer to get a full check up after seeing her talking to herself! Hell, she might drag herself to a healer for a full check up after tonight!"Look, star...god...spirit, THING! Whatever you are. Look, I heard from a little bird that you are like some genie that grants wishes for silly little offerings. Well, here." Lifting one of her talons she pushed the bloody feathers forward. "One offering, just for you. My own flesh and blood. I figured it would suite better for my type of wish than any shiny piece of jewelry."
Pursing her lips Anya lowered her head, trying to lower her tone as the silliness of this whole thing was starting to really get to her. "Now that that is taken care of. I just need to know what happened to my sister and my clan. I don't really care how, I'll even take some crazy spirit dream if that's what you have to do. I just want some closure though, something so that I can stop wondering and move on from that part of my past for good. It would be nice to see her again but well honestly I have a feeling she wouldn't want to see me..." Anya paused, words not able to come from her mouth anymore without her spilling her heart out. Which, this little speech was bad enough. She did not need to go into that much detail about her personal feelings to some magical star where anyone within a good earshot could hear. Letting out a choked up chuckle she started to step back, not wanting to be in this place anymore. "See not that bad! I'm not asking you to create a child or something crazy like that. So, deals a deal. Hopefully you hold up your end of the bargain."
With that Anya lifted her head up proudly before rushing off into the safety of the trees where she could hide away and sleep in safety.

Some feathers twisted together with hair from her own mane, as well as an empty abandoned basket that she found. Short IC Response: Tallon had been walking for a while to travel to the Wishing Star, she knew it couldn't grant her truest wish, which was to bring back her adoptive son, he was dead, he'd left her, sired children and died in a fire, she'd heard the news from one of her adopted grandchildren who'd come across her, she'd spotted her son's traits right away. No, the Wishing Star couldn't bring back the dead. She choked back a sob, her heart breaking again as she imagined her adoptive son dying alone. She shook her head and wiped her face on her leg "I must be strong" she muttered to herself. No, she would ask of the wishing star, her oldest wish .. She arrived at the place, noting other offerings having been left so she gathered her offerings up and placed them, adding a few splashed tears to them as she closed her eyes, raised her face to the star and whispered under her breath "Please star, i know you can't grant what's most wanted in my heart but perhaps you could help ease it, i've had partners in the past and never managed to conceive a baby, yet more than one of those partners have gone on to sire foals with their new mates" she stopped, her heart filling with sadness until she thought it would burst, she took a few gulps of breath before she could continue "I've adored my fosterlings, those i've found, abandoned or lost, some i've been able to reunite with their parents but Star.... dear Star, i would dearly love to have a child of my own, someone who doesn't have parents out there somewhere, possibly looking for their child. I can't bear the loss of another fosterling should a parent claim them" She sighed "Please, star, i beg you, please, please grant me a child, i see parents with their foals, little versions of their mother and my heart weeps, i would never ask for anything again in my life if i could be granted just one child of my soul, rather than a child of my heart" She gave her feathers a kiss before placing them in the empty basket that once held someone's child, someone who watched their baby grow and abandon the basket. More tears spilt onto her offerings as she placed the feathers tenderly inside before she turned away, glancing with a tear stained face at other Soquili, hoping for their dearest wish and she hoped that some of them at least would turn out happy.

Relic gently drops one of the teeth that he has shed over the past year. It was wrapped in a small pouch of the black fabric that he wore. Colette, Cosette and Coquette were all growing up beautifully. It was indeed a wonderful feeling. Now though his heart yearned for something different. A hazy memory of a vibrant individual rose to the forefront of his mind. It had been a very long time since his sister had been in his life.
Relic dropped his offering on the altar and sighed softly. "I have witnessed your power many times now. You've brought happiness to my grandson and his mate. I am eternally grateful to you for bringing Jessamine closer to me as well. I now wish to ask for your help in locating another who is dear to me. I wish to share with her the new family that I have found but I do not know where to start looking. I lost her when I was taken in by the carnival and now I yearn to know what has gone on in her life. Perhaps it is too much to ask but if you could set her hooves on the path to finding me I would be considered blessed once more. Please help us to reunite.

Shedded snake skins and bones Short IC Response:Chandar picked his way around the woodlands that made up Tom's territory. It was night, and a light fog rolled through. Many avoided the lands, out of fear of the monsters that lived surrounded by shadow. Many feared Tom, and the wickedness that he embodied . . . but not Chandar. While the stubborn and aloof stallion hadn't expected to bump into his foal-hood companion after so many years, the spirits were crafty beings . . .
What had begun in lust had ended in love, and the blue eyed stallion was uncomfortable by the notion. This wasn't how he expected things to go, and yet . . . . he was secretly, quietly, ever so hopeful. Past his gruff nature, past his scars, past his defenses, was a stallion who desperately hoped that Tom was true. He didn't want this to be some trick, some manipulation. . . In fact, he wanted this to be love. He was unloveable, or so he'd grown up believing, so how could this fanged monster want him forever?
Would he really stick to his word or would Chandar find himself with nothing?
So it was, the stallion paced back and forth, considering his future. Their future. Forever was an awfully long time . . . but maybe he could keep Tom if . . . if Tom were doubly needed. Rumor had the stars were out, and sometimes wishes could be heard. Chandar was superstitious, but he did doubt the stars might hear. Still . . he was alone, Tom was out doing spirits knew what to some helpless victim. This could just be his secret, particularly when the night was so secretive. ". . . this is ******** stupid but . . . stars . . spirits. . . whatever. Let me have the family I . . . I want. The family I want with him. Er . . . " He snorted, ears flattening, and he stomped at the ground with irritation. This was so stupid. His pride could hardly stand it. "Whatever. You know what I want." He wasn't going to be caught dead admitting it. Not even to some stars.
Dropping the procured snake skins and bones, the stallion quickly hurried away. He kept his eyes far from the stars that night . . . He didn't want them to see his helplessness, his true hope. . . his shame.

A tuft of fur from his and Hisoka's pelts, a lumpy piece of mochi, a small jug of sake, a mangled tangerine and a bunch of stuff he grabbed on the way to the shrine Short IC Response: Torao snorted as he dumped out the satchel of things he had collected as an offering for this magic star everyone was talking about. He did his best to shuffle the items around to luck nice but he had to face the facts, Hisoka was better at these things than he was so in the end it still looked exactly like a pile of crap he'd dragged over. He paced a few times, irritated. Hisoka didn't know he'd come because Hisoka probably didn't notice anything was wrong. He'd always enjoyed routine and quiet time but the mundane routine of life was driving Torao up the wall.
"Look, star... god? Thing. I don't care what you're called. What I know is that things suck right now. They haven't been right for ages. The last time they were good was when Uwasa was little. So if you could do something about that, that would be good." Torao kicked at a stone than snorted and turned away. This was ridiculous. Hisoka was the spiritual one, not him. "Just, please. I'm sick of... this." He muttered looking out over the calm lands.

Calfuray eyed the star up above, the herd swore that the star listened, indeed some of the herd even stated thier own children had come from such prayers but the horned mare had never herself considered doing something like this...until now. Meeting Kaikea had changed so much in her life and this seemed like the natural progression of that change. "I know we will be good parents...but we cannot have a child in the normal fashion..please help us, we have much love to give." She finally spoke outload. It was short and simple but she thought it got the point across and really she was not one for long speeches anyways. Surely the magical star would know them, it was in the heavens and it must watch those below yes? Perhaps..who knew the way of stars? In anycase she left the offering Yakut the herds shaman had recommended and turned to leave the hilltop with hope in her heart.
