"Whatever." She rolled her eyes and rudely took the glowstick from Hazmas. Her hunch had to be right this time. With a long sigh, and after much time wasted looking at the crest, Eridia decided to stop. Why was this so hard for her? Normally conducting investigations on others was easy for the child but this wasn't. She was so out of it tonight. Was it because of her healing injuries or was it because she wasn't putting her all? She only had her assumptions, no valid clues whatsoever! Which was excellent. Very excellent. She could now focus on what's important. Eridia hid her notes well near the crest when the moment was appropriate. It was necessary, risky but necessary.Another deep sigh with her clenched fists as the child straightened herself up. This night was all wrong. Murder happened and she had no clues. "Anyone else found something useful?" She shouted and arranged her hair rather distastefully. Totally not fair. Eridia did had to admit, the greenblood could be useful and she had to return the glowstick to its rightful owner. She approached Hazmas with a smile, her most deceitful one. "Thank you..." She was about to hand him his light source back, when she turned around and gave it to her father, so he'd keep an eye on her newly claimed stuff. "...for giving me this to me!"HI I TOTALLY EDITED, Ancient_Guardian HI I TOTALLY EDITED, thyPOPE

Stepping into the ballblock, Hemera knew this is what had been in store for the party that night. If only it had actually happened! Ah, how lovely it would have been. She looked at the windows arching above. Not practical for daytime, though obviously would be covered then somehow. But at night it made for a spectacular view. Dancing under it would have been incredible indeed.
While she was at the door, she had heard some noise. Looking around, she spotted a piano. The culprit through and through. However, whatever had touched it seemed to have disappeared for the time being. The tealblood padded over. She looked the instrument over, daring to touch it tenderly, before pressing a few keys herself. What was that basic first part of that one Troll Beethoven piece again? One one two three three two one...

Alifax had nodded when Eridia had spoken to him, and he realized only as she and - another troll, who looked familiar but not that familiar walked into the trophy block after him. " Did you mean the chandelier?" Alifax asked, raising his eyebrows at the small purpleblood. " I'd..." Actually, yeah. Everyone here was a child. He needed to review his own notes, but he could be back shortly to help her. " I'll help you get a chair over when I'm back," he said, shrugging, before - A tiny hand tugged at his shirt, and he winced. " I don't have any lights," he said, because lights weren't really the sort of supplies you brought to a party, and setting a fire here would only get him blamed for it. Also, well, from what he'd seen of this troll...letting her know he had any extraordinary abilities would mean she'd assume they were hers to use. That wasn't really Alifax's style. " You should try asking in the central hivestem," he shrugged. That was when the other one spoke up, though. Alifax had to hide a wince as he actually heard the substance of the guy's words, but he supposed it didn't matter. He was out of here. Luckily the purpleblood had a short attention span, and the greenblood didn't seem to have even noticed his existence, and he walked out of the ballroom as they did...whatever they were doing. On his way through the ballroom and out of the southern outgrowth, he passed Hemera, tinkling at the piano. He wasn't going to bother saying anything to her, though. He thought he'd spotted Sarcel: maybe that might be where to go...

Ҕᾁʐɱᾁʂ Ҏӫςɧῒɱ xxxxxx Trophy Block Giving an irritated huff, Hazmas returned his gaze to the bizarre taxidermy sculpture in front of him. He tilted his, squinting as he scrutinized the statue, and tentatively padded the statue with the tips of his fingers. In reality, the thing looked like someone mashed a bunch of lusii together and called it "art". Even the texture of it felt funky! After several minutes of searching, Hazmas felt something that brought a smile to his lips.
"Yeah, I think I did!" he said snidely, slipping his findings into his coat sleeve. "But I guess that just comes with being an expert treasure hunter."
His grin broadened but stopped when he noticed something wasn't quite right with the present highblood. Even though Haz didn't really have anything more to go one except his own sparse experience, it seemed that Eridia was a little more out of spirits than could be assumed. As far as he knew, disagreeable circumstances were met with equally disagreeable outburst. But two sighs in the same sitting and no insult to follow? Something was definitely up.
Was it because she was a highblood and she was being affected by the sea-dweller's death? Was she just tired? Or was it something else?
He had almost opened his mouth when Eridia approached with that smarmy smile of hers and spoke. Whatever possibly curious or sentimental thoughts the young greenblood had flew out the window as a fresh surge of rage colored his cheeks.
"WHAT!? YOU LITTLE SNEAK, THAT WASN'T A GIFT! THAT WAS-" the troll's clenched his fists, his eyes bulging with rage until he forced himself back. Despite his attempts at keeping his temper, he couldn't help the semi-furious glare that had plastered itself onto his face. He knew she was having trouble, he knew something was up, but even purple blood issues didn't condone the taking of his stuff - especially his last glow stick!
Taking a noisy inhale through his nose, Hazmas raised his hands and took a few steps back. "Y'know what? We're good, we're fine. I get a clue, you get a luminescent tube. We're even. Though why you're doing scrounge work when you should, I dunno, be bossing those high-blooded caste mates of yours for clues instead, is beyond me!"
With a frustrated scoff, the young green blood turned his attention to the taxidermied antlerbeast-head. He was still fuming, but taking it out on a highblood, even the one who made him angry was still not a good idea. Perhaps focusing on finding more clues could provide some needed distraction? The records case seemed in pretty good order, though the idea of somehow getting into it was more than a little tempting. Maybe a pin in just the right place, or a clip in just the right seam?
More reasons why he should add a party-satchel to his attire the next time he was invited somewhere.

Exploring: Trophy block Dectective Tsifer is on the case. Investigation: 3/3 "Ok! I'll wait for the chair stranger!" She said at the older troll and watched him exit. Weird, she heard some melody played by piano. Was someone meddling with it again? "What's that old dead troll's name again? Beth- oven?" Eridia shrugged and watched the other's sudden rage outburst. The child blinked twice and laughed at his expression like she did when he humiliated himself. "As if I'm gonna do all the work stink breath!" Then he rambled about her commanding her underlings or something. Honestly she blocked out some words. And while Hazmas spoke she did the blah-blah gesture. Yet she understood he was telling her to do something. "You can't tell me what to do! I'm a refined highblood for crying out loud! Ask Gerard if you--"Gerard.... "Oh my gog! The poor thing must be in between a rock and a hard place with all of this!" Eridia said, while she approached the record case. She looked at it for a few seconds and wondered how sturdy it was. Eridia tried opening it but no use. It was locked. She knocked on all of its surface and her hands slid across it. The clues that could lie within. What if she knocked it over? That was risky, Eridia shook her head. Well at least it would help her regain her posture once she 'fainted' for a few seconds. She turned around, putting the back of her palm on her forehead and posing dramatically she faked a swoon on the object. Hivestuck Investigating the Records Case

Chiara MotekuxxxxxInvestigationChiara dusted off her dress as she walked into the trophy room. She could hear voices coming from here, and a busy place was as good as any place to investigate. Of course, it was loud in here cuz her best buddy was here. Typical Eridia. With a grin she looked at Eridia. "Fancy seeing such an intelligent troll like yourself here." She said with another curtsy. Maybe she was being too nice to the poor beat up purpleblood, but she did feel bad for the girl. Chiara had come out of the rebel battle with only a few scratches. Eridia did not get quite so lucky. Oh, and there was Hazmas. It was finally time to remind him of his place. Chiara walked right up to the lower blooded troll and papped his nose in a friendly, but still dismissive way. "Such a good little boy." She told him as she continued on her way to examine the Crest on the other side of the room.

Exploring: Trophy block > Ball Block Dectective Tsifer is on a break. Investigation: 0/3 (North, South) Yep that records case was sturdy yet that didn't mean she couldn't play pretend for a second longer. "I feel like the whole room's spinning and I might throw--" Then Eridia heard a familiar voice. The child stopped and blinked at her friend. "Oh Chiara! Where the heck were you?" She said flipping her hair and approaching the blueblood with a smirk. Eridia tilted her head when Chiara papped the greenblood's sniffnode. "You know stinky here?" That was... unexpected. "I mean, damn! You should interact with better-- UGH! The point is-- THAT MUSIC'S GETTTING ON MY NERVES." Eridia could still hear the old troll music. Lovedad seemed to enjoy it, Yet, as majestic as it was been played, it was starting to bore her to sleep and also annoyed her. "THAT'S IT!" The highblood stormed out of the trophy block and into the ball room she went, just to see a familiar figure. A kid, a tealblooded kid. "Hmm.." She stared at her for a few seconds, wondering how she should interrupt her. "HEEEEY!" She shouted, tapping the other's shoulder repeatedly. "COULD YOU STOP THAT? I'M TRYING TO MAKE A POINT HERE!"

Alifax didn't really feel like heading all the way back into the trophy block to talk to some children. Instead, he moved a chair so that it was positioned just underneath the chandelier - and then he left to head toward the west outgrowth. The children could investigate as they liked.

Chiara MotekuxxxxxInvestigationChiara startled at Eridia's loud yelling. Obviously she was in quite a tiff about something. When the purpleblood shouted and tapped the tealblood Chiara called from behind; "Take her down Eridia! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!"Sadly there were things to do, and Chiara was running out of time. She felt a little guilty running off and missing such a promising scene, but responsibilities were responsibilities. Off to the Central Hivestem for one final job.

Ҕᾁʐɱᾁʂ Ҏӫςɧῒɱ xxxxxx Trophy Block 'Exactly why you should be questioning him!' Hazmas almost said, but decided it wasn't worth the effort. Instead he moved aside and watched as Eridia padded and knocked fruitlessly on the very record cabinet he'd been investigating. He almost smirked when he saw her tempting a swoon and somewhat hoped she'd clip herself on one of case's sharp corners or something.
However, his malicious reverie was disrupted by the sudden appearance of a familiar blueblood. But what really got him was the little pap on the sniffnode she gave him. Of all the things he'd been expecting and had prepared for, that wasn't one of them. Not knowing how to even respond to such a benign action from a higherblood after dealing with Eridia, Hazmas was left stunned for a good long time-long enough for Eridia to shout some more, move to the other blockand blow her stack at whoever was playing music in there. It was only after Chiara had left the block that the young greenblood had regained any of his motor skills and managed to put a hand to said sniffnode.
'That was weird,' he thought, padding his face. A few minutes more and the youngster's brain began to click again. Soon he had enough wits about him to notice he was alone in the Trophy Block at last and numbly slipped the yellow envelope under a nearby rug. Looking back towards the door, Hazmas ran a hand over his face, 'Why'd I freeze up like that?' he wondered, running a hand through his hair. He'd have to think on it later. Right then, he needed to head out and see about getting a word in with those mutants, but not before he made a quick stop at the Hivestem.
"Well, whatever point you were making, you probably already made it," he called, cupping his hands over his mouth just to hear it echo around the purple-blooded-pain. "You should probably check in on Ger-whats-his-name. You're good at wheedling information outa folks!EDITED! ImaginationsParadise Wow, did he just compliment her? EDITED! Hemera fiddled with the piano some more, only pausing when Alifax passed by. Ah, so it wasn't just her in here! Good. It would be rather spooky otherwise. With a murderer on the loose and all? Yikes indeed. But, like that, the redblood was gone, and she gave him no more attention than he did her. She continued checking out the instrument until something more cacophonous than her own amateur attempts at classic music came about.
Someone came in, yelling, sounding annoyed. Hemera looked over, recognizing the voice some. And those horns....yes, who was this? Someone she had seen before, she believed. In the meantime, she was shocked to find ire focused her way, and shrugged off the tapping on her shoulder with slight irritability. "Yes? Is yelling in my spongeclot absolutely necessary?" Speaking of manners, Hemera herself stopped at once. "I did not believe anyone else was here, so I apologize if I interrupted anything."
She took a moment to turn towards Chiara before the blueblood fled, glowering some. "This is not the place or time for violence for the sake of it. I'm not going to fight anyone." She looked at Eridia again. "Now, is there something you need?"Hivestuck Checking out the piano some more.... ImaginationsParadise Eridia, master of good impressions
