"I do not know. There is much that I do not know about this situation. I do know that the vines are a part of this, and that Creation is the one that is causing it. Earlier, there was a skyscraper completely overrun with these vines. We may find the 'heart of these thorns' up there."
He paused, thinking.
"Unfortunately, I do not think there is a safe way up there. Not yet. I need to see if any of the Hunters know a way to destroy the vines. I suppose if anyone has any idea of how to deal with them... it is they."

"How did you hear all this stuff? We haven't even been here long enough to really talk to anyone. Most of the humans are out cold. Hell how do we even get to the tower? Just looking at it makes my head explode."
She shook her head, "I doubt we can get up there. Even if we can the bigger issue is getting past the beast guarding it, and again, head splitting pains, and a million voices screaming out for your very existence to be consumed."

Even if Sammy was Halloween, he wasn't about to go start tossing names around. If word got out, even on accident, it would put his little ally in far deeper water than she already was.
"There is... that as well. But if we can somehow find a way into the source, then. Well. We may have a means of stopping this mess."

The fact he didn't trust her with the name of his informant bothered her.Granted she didn't exactly have a trade off, well, maybe. "I'll ask Jordan then when I see him."
Shifting about she looked back towards the way they had come to even get to the Hospital. "The hunters have a mean? I know we sure don't we came on the hunch of a rescue mission but you and I, plus anyone who has half a brain knows that it'll be more."

Shun tilted his head at that name. It was familiar...
"I do not know if they have a means. They might. If anything, it is worth trying to find out if they do. Though, I have a feeling they came in just about as blindly as we did, unfortunately. I do not think their leaders really give them much information."

The head tilt lead her to wonder if he didn't know, "Blond hunter, has a big a** hammer. Really kinda decent if you don't pick a fight with anyone."
"Well keep it up then, but you aren't making me feel much better about this if you're telling me the guys trained to fight us and monsters don't know what to do is like. Actually really bad."

"Ah yes... him," he murmured. He recalled him now clearly. Jordan was one of the hunters that had assisted Candice in capturing Mitsu several years back.
Shun let out a low grunt, then let out a sigh.
"Yes. I am very aware of that. I am hoping one of them knows what to do, but from the sounds of things so far, they were just about equally as unprepared as we were for a Legacy to be mixed in with everything. I somehow have a feeling that the ones here would be less willing to temporarily work with us if they had a ready solution."

Sammy didn't know about that, had she known she'd likely have words with Jordan, but that would be for another time and place. Not here today that much was true.
"I think that thing likely cut us all off, we had escape routs and hunters aren't above pendants and portals to escape. We're stuck here so weapon or not we don't have a choice but to work together or be eaten."

She drummed her fingers on the hard pendant, "They want to protect their world, we want to protect ours, that means putting down the Horsemen, the Legacies that create messes like this."

Shun eyed the pendant, then just sort of shook his head to himself.
"I think you still put too much faith in Protection. It will likely bite you in the a** one of these days," he stated quietly, "But, you are not wrong. Unfortunately there are about just as many hunters who are willing to work with us outside of situations such as this. You should have heard some of the things said on the radio earlier, before it was gravity of this scenario was fully realized."

"Can you blame them though? They don't see the best of us, only the worst, and I mean the awful worst. Horsemen levels of horrible. And honestly, how many times have you swore to kill them? How many times have we tried to kill them?"
She turned towards the direction of the highway, "This isn't going to be something we can resolve in a single event but it might get a bit better."

Shun let out a low grunt at that.
"Yeah, okay. You have a point, I suppose..." he grumbled lowly, "I still seriously doubt there can ever be any sort of long term peace between them and us, however. Once the bigger threats are out..."
