Luckily yes. Kat did have her morning coffee. However, just one wouldn't do anything to help her mood. In short: anyone around her were screwed if she didn't get her caffeine fix within a few hours, as she was highly irritable if she didn't.
A laugh erupted out of Kat, highly amused by everything going on. "If it's Mark, I guarantee you that he forgot!" Honestly, she wouldn't expect any less out of Mark. It was in his nature after all. Sin's words only encouraged more laughter from the Sun hunter.
"God forbid." She added, casting a quick glance at the vines. "I have a feeling those plants are a big part of the issue here."

The response to Kat was a groan. "Thank you Kat, always appreciate the assurance."
"Ehh... pass on that." He swiped at the shadowy double of Sin again. "Somehow I doubt I'd be able to get into the festive spirit while running and fighting for my life." Though it was fast approaching--which also meant snow soon. He wasn't quite sure when British Columbia got their snow, but if it was anything like Ontario, they could get it within a matter of days. Not a fun thought.
"Though I definitely agree about the vines. I'm seeing these vines everywhere, and just before some building practically exploded with them, though I'm assuming you both witnessed that little doozy too."

"Where else are we gonna get the excitement?" Sin called out to Ryan with a laugh. There was nothing quite like being chased by a monster. With a final strike, their enemy was dead. Sin was sure that he wouldn't have been able to defeat it without his senior hunter's help. "Good to see you go." He told the shadow as it dissipated. There was only room for one Sin in this world, otherwise he might have no value...
"Killer vines, huh? Not the strangest but not what I was expecting." Sin gave a wary glance at the greenery.

Scoffing at the moon hunter, she raised a brow. "What? No Christmas? And here I was expecting presents." Feigning a look of disappointment, she drew her weapons on the creature, firing again into her back- er.. stomach? "Aw, don't worry Sin! We can still celebrate Christmas! Ryan's just being a sour puss. We'll slap some reindeer antlers on him, and he'll cheer up again, you'll see!"
Kat did in fact see the event they were speaking of. But honestly, out of all things happening, it was kind of the least of their problems. At least she hoped so.

"No," He cut in, sending Kat a disapproving look. "I'm pretty sure I wouldn't. Though if you two want to get all decked out in festive fun, be my guest. I'm sure Mark will even sing you a Christmas carol, should we manage to get him on the line." Which was unlikely.
There was a slight shrug, before his shoulders slumped a little. "Me either, but that giant a** creature was covered in them. That aside," He glanced over at the civilian who was currently motionless on the ground. "What the hell do I do with that?"

Seeing that both Ryan and his monster was felled, Sin waited for the right moment to attack Kat's monster without getting hit by her bullets. He would hate to die as collateral damage after all. With alother slash of his sword, he retreated to a farther distance to allow the two of them to attack.
"Can't help it~ We can't leave them behind after all." Sin looked sympathetic to Ryan's plight, because every moment he was with the doctor- he felt as if he were in danger. Even though he was unconscious, Sin had the instincts to be wary of him. Yet leaving him to die was an even worse and unthinkable prospect.

"I'm not saying to leave them behind, but... How are we going to keep fighting and keep them alive at the same time." He pushed his hand through his hair, knocking his hood back. "We're kind of screwed on provisions and its getting colder out. Not to mention all of these monsters hanging about." That said, there was no way he was going to allow this civilian to just die, even if he did cost him the portal. He wouldn't have dragged him all over the place to ditch him here now. Besides, it completely went against what he trained for.

Kat continued to laugh at Ryan, now full on imagining him completely decked out in Christmas gear from head to toe. The idea was both amusing and unsettling.
With the creatures down, her weapons were unsommened, and she turned to face the two. "Hmm.. Well, worst comes to worse, you leave them with me while you go in to attack. It's not like I need to be right up in their faces like you two. I can kill from a distance." The two received a cheeky grin, before the hunter moved to check on the civilian girl brought with her.

It took Gale a while to even figure out how to walk with his civilian, let alone walk at a pace that wasn't outrageously slow. He dragged the man along with him, heaving him up every few seconds to try and make sure that he wasn't trailing along the ground too badly (though his feet still were).
Up ahead he could see figures, but they were hazy shapes, unclear at first, and he trekked slowly towards them.

"Hmmm?" Sin whom was entertained by Ryan and Kat's tactics saw another figure in the distance. It could be an enemy but it could also be an ally. "Oouh~" He jumped a top of a few cars to get a better view, crouching down on top of the roof. The new person's hunter coat was unmistakable.
"Be right back!" He called to the sun and moon hunter, relying on them to watch his civilian who was also there.
"..Let me help." Without his civilian in toe, he found it much easier to jump to Gale's side. Without asking the other hunter, but under the assumption he needed help, Sin began to take the other side of the male. The weight automatically shifted towards Sin's end, alleviating Gale's burden.
