Hitch snorted, and he didn't bother hiding a grin. "God, please tell me you're gonna be ********' better than Twilight at least," he said with the hint of a groan.
Cheesy. "Hah. Alright, alright. You win this round. You're pretty gouda." Okay, so he couldn't resist one more, so sue him.
Even if he'd been the one to call attention to it, having her look at the scars in a new light still made him a little self-conscious, in a low key sort of way. You'd think he'd be used to it by now; everyone stared. But that just sort of made it worse. "Mm. Little my own ********' fault, but - trust me when I say you ain't seen the half of it," and he tried to make it out like he was joking - but really, he wasn't. "Wish I could see you should've seen the other guy, but..." He'd been helpless. Useless. Weak. Powerless.
Next time though. Maybe.
Hitch's eyes widened, and a hint of red stained his cheeks again, however faint. "Eh? - why?" In his own way, he was kind of flattered that someone thought he might be worth talking to, but - why, really? The whole magical secret life thing or whatever aside, he was really just a deli clerk with a really cute boyfriend.

Olga flashed him a thumbs up and a wink. "I'll blow it out of the water!" She assured him with a wide grin, and then snorted. No. The puns would never stop. Her hand fell to her side though after, and she blinked before her expression mellowed out, briefly. "Ah..." She trailed off for a moment, thoughtfully, before she perked back up. She'd learn more, eventually. Maybe it wouldn't be right now, but she would. "I'm sure you gave the other guy a serious run." She grinned widely at him. "Why?" Olga parroted. "Because...I think you're...." She paused for a moment, " Grate." She placed heavy emphasis on the word, and also made a sawing motion with her free hand after gesturing to a nearby block of cheese.

Hitch snickered hard, and even if he tried to make it out like it was a cough, it didn't really pan out. Though the second snicker he gave as the comment about the other guy and the serious run he'd given him was much thicker, edging on bitter. "Sure. Yeah. - seriously ran my mouth, if anythin', " and he was talking to himself more than he was her with that last bit, giving an almost rueful sigh.
He stared at her real hard for a good few seconds after that last pun, then finally cracked and laughed hard, pressing the back of his hand to his mouth to try and quell the sound. "You're ********' ridiculous, " he choked out, finally, composing himself and shaking his head, although his dark eyes were still alight with amusement. "Fine, fine - you win. You can have the number, " which he readily provided.

Olga stared back, though it was more of a frozen wide eyed smile until he reacted. Granted, to hear him laugh like that---it made her pleased. Pleased and really happy. Her expression turned into a fox eyed grin. "Yeah, I know!" She cackled, and then pumped a fist into the air victoriously. "YAAAAAAAAASSS!" She slid open her phone screen again and put in the number he provided, as well as the proper information. "I shot you off a text!" She replied, and flashed him a thumbs up. "So now you have my number too!" Olga pocketed her phone, and then grinned at him. "Can we hang out sometime soon!?"

He didn't pull out his phone to check. It was obnoxious and pink and stripey and probably intended for a teenager girl and just, no, somehow he didn't think she needed the fodder. Call it a hunch.
Can we hang out sometime soon? Not a question he heard a whole lot. Although he'd been getting it a little more now, still - not so outright, not so - "Sure. I mean, if you want." He sounded nonchalant. But something in his eyes and the slight upturn of his lips said he was happy she'd asked. There was something kind of refreshing about her, and -
- even if he didn't deserve it, it was... kind of nice to have people who might be friends down the line. There was Jari, but she was the exception, not the rule, and Tolliver too was something else all together. A best friend and a lover. Just, something as simple as this...
Basically, he was a dumbass, really. "My schedule's kind of stupid, just a head's up. So I'll let you know when I'm free?"

"Um, YEAH---of course I want to, silly!" She just kept grinning at him, and it then simmered into a wide smile as she nodded her head. "Yeah! I get that---I'm pretty flexible when I'm not in class, and all my classes are in the morning to early after noon. So if there's a time after that that works for you, I can make it work for me, too!" Olga flashed him a thumbs up, and then leaned in, giving him a mischievous grin. "You better let me know soon, or I'll come and find you~" She waggled her fingers at him, and laughed, leaning back, where she then gave him a salute. "Guess I better be heading out, yeah? Since you're getting ready for clean up! It was nice to meatcha, Hitch! Let's hang out soon, okay!? Have a good night!" Before he could get the last pun in, Olga ended up all but skittering out of the store like it was on fire. frayedflower Wrap tag on my end bby! *n* <3
