When Teide spoke up, Valhalla turned to listen, appreciative that she had a perspective neither he nor Hvergelmir had. He would admit that her concern was his concern. Perhaps if it was someone he already knew and trusted, like Wolframite, it wouldn't be so bad. Wolframite had the opportunity to take his starseed, to crush it or keep it, but he didn't. While Valhalla hadn't experienced the temptation chaos offered, he did know just how difficult it was to fight off. Without the help of Ganymede's crystal, he was certain he would have been corrupted, or would have died in the process of trying to resist.
"Thank you," he said softly, trying to keep the worry and fear from his voice, even though he knew his eyes betrayed him. "If it does come to that, it will be my last resort. I... If there's a chance... without knowing how long I have..." he started but couldn't finish. He had more to live for than just himself.
