Turn 6

Neon Archer's Attack: 100 - 105 = 1 (100- 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 84% Chance) (+8% From T.A = 92% Chance)
Intel Doctor's Attack: 70 - 105 = 1 (100 - 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 84% Defense Chance) (+8% From T.A = 92% Defense Chance)
Illusionist's Attack x2: 100 - 105 = 1 (100- 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 84% Chance) (+8% From T.A = 92% Chance)

Acel brought his sword down with everything he had in him. It was so damn hard that when his sword impacted down on the shield that the Illusionist erected, both of his arms ached with the vibrations of the impact. It seemed, for a brief moment, that the energy the shield was made of fluctuated, ready to split, but it stayed strong, keeping Acel at bay as it was intended to do. "These guys are real pains in the asses eh? I mean, seriously. I still feel so damn angry, and she's not even messing with my head anymore. Besides, she is stopping your a** like crazy...gotta be getting to you by now, no?" Acel saw the blink of light as the arrow was tearing toward him, and his eyes widened, knowing that his arms were still high in the air from the initial attack, and he instead tucked himself in and threw his body backwards, doing a roll on the ground, allowing the arrow to soar over his head before he sprung back up to his feet. "Yes, Midas, thank you for your keen observations. I am indeed getting a little bit pissed off. But, if I let it get to me too much, I will make a mistake, and I really can't have that right now. If I screw this up, I am never going to forgive myself." The blast from the Intel Doctor was next, tearing through the air with a loud crackling sound like firewood splitting as it is burned, and the smell of metal accompanied the charged particles as they approached. Acel immediately brought his sword up, allowing the energy to hit his blade and disperse across it, causing the blade to glow for a brief couple of seconds, and Acel beamed as he looked at the sword, thinking about Akio's sword that he had used when they fought together. "Acel, you know that's not fair to yourself man. If you lose this fight, it isn't your fault that kid dies. He's a newbie, and he chose this life. He knew the consequences, just like you did."

Acel saw the Illusionist step in to slam her palm into his side and he narrowed his eyes, immediately bringing his foot up and lashing out, kicking the Illusionist in the gut and pushing her away from him, causing the palm strike to be far too distant from him to actually land, or give her the chance to send the spike of energy through his ribs. But as the woman focused the energy into her two hands, Acel knew that what was coming was not going to be pleasant. He immediately hopped backwards away from her, and then as she thrust her hands out and sent the shockwave in toward him, he instantly dodged to the side, throwing his body away from her as fast as he possibly could. The tail end of it almost hit his feet as he jumped through the air, but he managed to get out of the way just in time. He took a deep breath as he collected himself, and he stood, facing the Illusionist once again. "I never had a choice. I didn't know what I was getting into when I came in. Who knows if he is in the same boat. All I know is that as a baiter, you usually don't need to fear death. But these A.I. have truly set this green baiter up to die. They took out his code cores...so he doesn't have long left to live regardless. He will die without the A.I. to keep his body going because of the HALF process...and if he dies, they can't bring him back without it. If we fail, he is gone forever...I won't let that happen." Midas sighed, audibly, and Acel could feel the worry in his own mind coming from the A.I.. "Just don't hold yourself so responsible, okay? We might win this, we might not. The dumbass got himself caught, and you're here trying to save him. That's what matters."

Acel nodded, though he knew he could not help how he felt about the subject. He knew he would hold himself responsible...because that's the kind of person he was. But he knew that Midas was right in a lot of ways too. He just had to focus on one thing at a time. Right now, it was striking these bastards down. He wanted so badly to turn and go for the healer while he could. Go for the one who could heal, but if he did, he knew that the Illusionist would just taunt him once again--locking him down in that rage-like state where he could not control himself. But, if he maintained the assault on the Illusionist, then he had a chance to keep the Illusionist from using that ability, and the healer would be much easier to take down while he didn't have the green woman to worry about. He charged forward, choosing the Illusionist after all, and he pulled back the blade, entering a crouched, lowered stance as he ran, and then as he got in range, he stopped dead in front of the Illusionist and spun with all of his might, aiming for a heavy cut across the woman's neck if he could manage it.

Turn 7

The Neon Archer watched carefully as the Illusionist parried the man's blow, creating a shield above her head and holding his strike there so that the man was not only stuck in mid-defense, but he was also at this point in time, unable to lower his arms fast enough to dodge the arrow coming for him. The Neon Archer was positive that this was the time that it would work--this was the time that the arrow would strike true. After all, someone had to land a god damn hit in this battle at some point, right? They couldn't sit there at a stand-still for the rest of time. They had to do something with their lives. It was absurd the amount of time it was taking to actually begin the battle--because all that they were doing right now was basic foreplay. They were just jerking each other off waiting for the damn fun to begin, and the Neon Archer was starting to crack. It was at that point that the man reefed his body backwards and tucked low, into a backward somersault, and the arrow soard over the Illusionist's shoulder, and managed to miss the man by a hair. He had been too fast, once again. And this time, the Neon Archer actually lashed out and slammed its fist into the nearby tree trunk, growling in frustration as it just wished that it could hit the man once. He was just lucky. That was it. The b*****d was just lucky.

As the Neon Archer regained its composure, it focused on the task at hand and returned to the cool, collected state that it knew it needed to maintain. It watched carefully as the baiter used his sword to deflect the energy blast that came toward him, his sword seeming to conducted the energy and disperse it perfectly. They were quite the weapons--and they would make one hell of a side-arm to go with his bow. That was decided. If they managed to kill this man, the Neon Archer was going to take his weapons. The man hopped back from the Illusionist as she came in to strike him, avoiding her first blow, and as the Illusionist rocked the force wave forward that the Archer had seen before, it got hopeful. With such a wide range of impact, and such incredible force, the Archer was sure that it would land, but even that, the man was able to dive out of the way of. However, at the very least, the man's defense had been so close, that it was likely soon he would slip just enough and would be crushed by one of their blows. The Neon Archer took a deep breath as the man ran in and attempted another slash toward the Illusionist, and it wasted no time in drawing back another energy bolt. Though, this time it was going to do things a little bit different. It smirked as it altered the base of the arrow so that it would cause the arrow to curve in the air and the Archer shot the bolt to the far left, watching as it curved hard to the right and would come in right towards the man's central body mass.

The Illusionist was slightly perplexed when it watched the energy that it shot from its staff diffuse across the surface of the man's sword. The energy shouldn't really be a conductive substance like electricity but it washed over the blade--clinging to it unnaturally before completely dispersing. That was going to become a problem if this man was able to block its attacks with his weapon. Usually when the Intel Doctor hit a man's sword it melted in two, or at least broke. But, it would be okay. The Doctor merely needed to land a blow on the man's body without him being able to get those blades of his up and near the energy blast. It would be challenging, but challenging was the Doctor's middle name. Well...it wasn't, really, it didn't have a middle name, but it didn't need to fret too much about that. As the arrow missed narrowly over the human's head, the Intel Doctor could sense the Neon Archer's frustrations and he smirked to himself. The cocky Archer was getting frustrated, was he? How entertaining. The Illusionist kept her cool, as she always did, and as she attacked at the man this time, he was able to duck and weave out of her attacks as he had been able to this entire fight, and the Intel Doctor sighed. They really did need to land a hit on him--he was too damn slippery. The Intel Doctor's drives were already humming at this point--preparing to release another blast of energy, and as the Intel Doctor sensed the arrow shot from the Archer, it knew the curved arrow would hit around the central mass of the baiter. At this time the Intel Doctor shot a bolt of energy off to the side, and it would appear as though the bolt would go far too wide, and not have a hope in hell of actually hitting him, but it curved in mid-air at the Doctor's beckon, causing it to spin around and go from the side out of nowhere. The Intel Doctor had shown it could bounce the projectiles, but this was a new one, so it hoped that it could surprise the man with it.

Acel's Attack: 121 - 100 = 21 (100 - 21 = 79% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 64% Defense Chance) (-8% From Acel TA = 56% Defense Chance)

The Illusionist felt the weight of the man's attack against it, and its arms visibly shoot against the force, but it held the shield strong above its head as the baiter assaulted. It would not allow it to break through. It would not allow this man to best three of them. It would NOT. As the arrow came blasting in, the man doubled back, rolling away from the blow and avoiding it without issue. When he rose, the Intel Doctor was ready--unleashing a blast of energy at the man and hoping to hit him, but Acel was even more prepared, and those swords of his seemed able to disperse the energy that the Doctor was using, which was more than frustrating. And then, as the Illusionist launched its own strike against him, it was turned aside with ease as the man's foot was planted in her gut and she was pushed away from him, taking the wind out of her lungs before she narrowed her eyes and set up for the force push. However, when the push was unleashed, the man dove off to the side and was able to avoid the blast by just a hair. It had been so close, and yet he was able to just jump aside and get out of the way like nothing. This battle seemed so...pointless at this time. Nobody was really doing anything, and it had gotten to the point where it was becoming frustrating. But, for the time being, there was nothing to do but press forward. The man was concentrated on her already after all, so she needn't do anything but keep fighting alongside everyone else. However, as she looked to the man, he could see the man's eyes moving from the Illusionist to the Intel Doctor like he was making a choice. Then the Illusionist realized...they had narry a hope of actually hitting the man anyways...so why would she bother wasting her efforts on attacking him, when he could merely lock him down and keep him from ever endangering the other two members. If she held him there, he could never threaten their healer, nor their distance damage dealer. She was foolish to have broken her taunt just because they were all healthy at this time. It was time to think smarter. As the man came in, swinging his sword violently up toward her neck, the Illusionist brought both of her arms up instantly, swingnig them to bash against the blade and send it just narrowly above her head. It might have cut her hair if she had any. Following her defense, she immediately spread the particles into the air and grinned as she looked at Acel. "Come on back here, big boy." She stated with a wink.

Neon Archer's Attack: 100 - 105 = 1 (100- 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 84% Chance) (+8% From T.A = 92% Chance)
Intel Doctor's Attack: 70 - 105 = 1 (100 - 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 84% Defense Chance) (+8% From T.A = 92% Defense Chance)

Acel watched the blade approaching the woman's neck as if it were going in slow motion, inching nearer and nearer, but just before it could make contact her arms had successfully flung upward and knocked the blade too high to hit, skimming across the top of her bald head. The woman was defending against everything he sent her way, and there was nothing he could really do about it. All he could do was sit there and hope that he was able to land another strike--that he could eventually wear her down enough that she faltered in her defense and couldn't evade. It might take time, but he had time. Sure he was getting tired as well, and his breaths had grown deeper and more ragged with time, but he was uninjured. The man he had been before this fight would have been killed already he was sure. But Acel was due for a victory. He could not continue being defeated around every corner. He needed this. He needed to win. He needed to save this kid. He had to. If he didn't, he was unsure he could maintain any sort of confidence in his skill as a baiter, or his suitability to this job...perhaps he should just be a farmer after all. "Hey a*****e, stop thinking like that and start paying attention to the enemies around you. You're at a heavy disadvantage and you are still managing to pull through this. You're doing great, so keep doing great until these pricks are all at your feet in shambles. Also...arrow, curving your way, wide loop toward your side." Midas growled.

Acel heaved a sigh, knowing that Midas was right. He was doing all he could, and he was doing better than a lot of baiters might in this situation. Hell, a group of five baiters had been here before, and that was the group the one that was still here was a part of. If five of them had been chased off so easily, and yet he was standing here taking so many of their blows without actually being hit by them...perhaps he was doing a good job. His confidence flared as the arrow came flying toward him and he brought his sword down in a vicious chop, cleaving the projectile out of the sky cleanly, and sending the bits of energy scattering and exploding all around him, harmlessly. He stood from the blast, turning to face the Intel Doctor as the A.I. let loose another blast of energy, but the thing must have been nervous as hell, or something, because the blast was way off to the side, and Acel turned away from him, going back to the Illusionist, but Midas' voice echoed out in his head a warning, and as Acel looked from the corner of his eye he saw the blast curling in toward him. "Son of a gun! He doesn't need something to bounce it off of, he can manipulate it mid-air? Acel mentally cursed as he spun to the side, shifting out of the way of the blow before turning back to the Illusionist once again. However, as soon as he locked eyes with the woman, he felt his heart-rate increase, and the cloudiness of his mind that he had experienced before began to return. "Oh, son of a b***h, this woman's at it again. She's going ******** us. She's already got us, the whore. ********> Midas yelled, and Acel's entire being screamed alongside him. But, whatever, the Illusionist could make him as mad as she wanted--she would not trip him up. He would use the anger to fuel his strikes and happily direct it all at her. "You want me to come at you? Happily, you bald b***h. You're going to die a slow death, and I am going to enjoy...every...second." He snapped, suddenly dashing toward her and hopping forward right before reaching her so that he landed right in front, spinning on the foot he landed on and bringing his sword around in a vicious fast-paced cut toward her mid-section, hoping to cleave into her ribcage and remove a couple of them--maybe even get into her lung a bit.

Turn 8

The Neon Archer was running out of ideas. How was he supposed to hit this man if he was omniscient? He saw everything for christ sakes! It was as if he were god himself, standing there and just completely denying anything and everything the bit cores were able to throw at them. If they only had a Kilo core here to help out--this man would have been dead long ago. However, as Acel turned and cut down the arrow that had been travelling toward him, the Neon Archer had to at least feel a light amount of respect for him. His strength evenly matched the strength of all three of his enemies. He was keeping the battle at a total standstill and he had absolutely no allies with him. If he were to fight any of them one-on-one, even against their leader, they would surely fail. The Neon Archer or the Medic would be dead easily, even if they fought two against one. But their leader was keeping this battle even. Even as the Intel Doctor busted out its special move, manipulating the path of its energy mid-air, the man was able to foresee it and act, spinning out of the way of the attack with relative ease. It was insane. Why couldn't he just die? Why couldn't he just slip up and take an arrow to the knee or something. That would end his adventuring days forever. But, it appeared this was not on their cards. He was too damn good. The Illusionist even recognised this fact and began to taunt the man once more, making sure he could attack nobody but her. As she taunted him, the man pushed forward, and the Neon Archer narrowed its eyes. Immediately the Archer began running through the trees. The baiter was incapacitated and could definitely not run in the state he was in, so the Archer had no need to stay close to him. He merely blasted through the trees until he was at an angle where he could shoot at Acel's back. He knew the man had few blind spots...but it was at least worth a try. The Archer pulled back its bow, loading another energy shot. The arrow materialized as he pulled the bow back, and it began to hum before he released it, firing the arrow square towards the man's spine, hoping to paralyse him and make it nice and easy to kill him.

The Intel Doctor was surprised, actually, that their leader was so efficiently blocking the man's strikes. He was stronger than her, to be sure, but she was more skilled at defending against the man than he was at striking. He could not find a weak point in her defenses yet, and as such she was not becoming wounded in any way. Because of this, the Intel Doctor was free to strike out and attack as much as it possibly could. If the Illusionist faltered at all, it would do its best to heal her back to full before he could hit her again, but things would get dangerous if the battle went on too much longer. They would grow tired, and this man would capitalize on that, to be sure. However, he would tire as well--who would take advantage of it first. One thing the Doctor could not heal was the power of fatigue. Even if it recharged muscles, the Doctor could not cure mental weariness. He watched as the man cut the arrow out of the sky, and cursed himself as he even saw the bending energy coming toward him and spun out of the way. Was there no way at all to hit him? Was there no possible avenue to surprise this man? He was unnatural. Baiters as a whole were unnatural--encroaching on the territory of god. They would fall. They had to. Even if the man beat them here--a wave of extraordinary Kilo Cores had already fallen, and they would not be beaten down--if they fell, those Kilo Cores would soon strike out at the cities and bring them to their knees, the Intel Doctor was sure. He had met one of them already--a particularly brutish fellow. But for now, as the Illusionist taunted the man, the Intel Doctor charged forward, this time aiming to thrust his staff toward Acel's side, and send a blast of energy at extreme close range to blow into the man's ribs.

The Illusionist loved the look on Acel's face when he became enraged. Rage in itself was such a primal feeling, and it turned whoever it infected into an animal. This man was no different. She imagined him as a polite man, someone who wouldn't bother to curse or to hate...but she brought out the worst in people, and that was good for her, because it also brought out the worst in their combat potential. Something she needed desperately to do. The man had seen through both the curved arrow and the bending energy of the Archer and Intel Doctor. He was avoiding all of their strikes, and she could do nothing more than hope that they landed their attacks before long. She was counting on them for that, and if they let her down, they would not see another day on this world or any. As she taunted the man he chipped in, telling her that she would die a slow death, and he would enjoy watching it. She laughed and grinned as she attacked, spinning and attempting to hit her in the ribs, but as the man landed in front of her, she merely slammed her hands forward and blasted a wave of energy that knocked him away from her, completely negating the attack that he was attempting. "Oh, are you going to enjoy it? Are you? Because, honestly, I don't think you have the strength to actually hit me at all...boy."

Neon Archer's Attack: 100 - 105 = 1 (100- 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 84% Chance) (+8% From T.A = 92% Chance)
Intel Doctor's Attack: 70 - 105 = 1 (100 - 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 84% Defense Chance) (+8% From T.A = 92% Defense Chance)

As Acel tore towards the woman, trying to reach her with enough momentum to break through whatever shield she might raise in front of her, he was surprised to find her using some different tactics. Instead of shielding from his blows, and trying to deflect the sword itself, she focused on the core of the problem in front of her and she launched a force wave toward him, shooting him backwards and onto his a**. He landed in the grass and dirt with a solid thump, rolling over himself multiple times before he came to a stop, though it merely dirtied his clothes without dealing any significant damage to him. He ground his teeth together, his jaw hurting from the previous pressure he had already been putting on them, and now the clenching returning. His mind was beginning to grow clouded with hate and anger, and it was the prime time for his counterpart to take center stage. The lines slowly worked their way up the man's neck, and lower jaw, black trails like veins moving across his skin, and he knew that the Angel of Despair was one its way...it was trying to break out into the limelight once again, and it wanted to consume Acel whole. If it could use this rage to do that, Acel knew that it would. "Archer's on the move. I really don't think he understand the concept that we can see the battlefield as a whole. He's trying to find blind spots still instead of trying to hit the areas that are harder for you move to...but, hey, whatever floats his boat." Midas stated, and he let Acel know exactly where the Archer was, and where he was prepared to shoot from. Acel would not allow such a blind attack to win him over.

He moved instantly as the arrow was released, bringing his sword up in a diagonal slash to catch the arrow as it reached him, and cleave it into two pieces that fell on either side of him, spiralling for a moment before disappearing into the ground around him, causing the dirt to shower once more around them, covering Acel's white coat with more of the grime and grass. He could hear the incoming footsteps of the Intel Doctor, even as his ears rang from the explosions that had blasted on either side of his head, and when the A.I. got close enough, Acel spun around, to catch him by surprise, making him think that he was unaware. And his sword smashed against the side of the staff, knocking it away and sending the blast of energy off to the side. His eyes narrowed as he looked the Doctor up and down, wanting to drive his sword through the b*****d's face mask. He even urged his body toward it, trying to do it, but his body did not respond. As soon as he tried to command it to strike the Intel Doctor, his mind would instantly reject the thought, and it would consciously tell him, no no, what are you thinking...it's that son-of-a-b***h the Illusionist you need to target! And as soon as he heard his own mind telling him that, he turned and narrowed his eyes. He was right...he did need to hit her. To kill her...he had to do something, damnit! And then he did--charging forward toward her and cocking back his hand, holding the sword like a javelin as he hurled it toward her, following directly behind her. If she dodged, he would be ready to snatch the blade out of the air--if she blocked it, he would try his best to get the blade from wherever she knocked it toward. But he hoped it sank right into her damn chest.

Turn 9

The Neon Archer's movements meant nothing. Nothing meant anything. If it sat there and shot from a distance, it was the same as shooting from right in front of the man. He would see where he was going, and he would see when he was shooting. He saw everything. So, if this was the case, then the only thing that could be done was to try to get shots that would be harder for him to avoid, even if he could see them. That meant that it was likely the best action to get closer to him. If he closed the gap between them, then the arrows would reach their target faster and therefore be harder to dodge. If they were harder to dodge, then he would be able to hit him more likely than not. Sure the man was very aware, and he was very capable as an opponent, but it would be easier to make him slip up if the arrows were closer and hit faster. Besides, the Illusionist was holding the man completely incapable of attacking anyone else, so why the hell not get nice and close to him. It made the most sense, did it not? The Archer sighed at its own stupidity. Why had it not thought about this before? It released itself from the confines of the tree-line and it ran into the battlefield, sprinting in towards where they were fighting. The b*****d wouldn't get away forever. The Archer would make sure of that. He would slip up eventually. If the Neon Archer was already feeling tired, then that man must be exhausted. How long could he keep it up? Not very, the Archer bet. He pulled back the drawstring, the energy arrow manifesting as he knocked it and let it loose, aiming to peg the b*****d in the back of the head.

Turn 9

the Intel Doctor had figured it was a good enough attempt to actually get in close and release the blast from an unavoidable distance, but the man knew exactly how to deal with that situation, as he knocked the weapon aside and sent the energy blast off course. If he could block distant attacks with his sword, and he could knock aside close attacks with his sword...what the hell was he to do, other than to remove the god damn sword from the equation, yes? He had to somehow rid the man of his weapon! The man had been able to cleave the arrow shot directly from behind him before avoiding his own strike, and then he was taunted once again--pulled in by the Illusionist's tricks as she poisoned his mind. Trails of black started working their way up the man's neck and the Intel Doctor quirked a brow as he looked at them, wondering what the hell was going on. Jesus, this man just continued to get more and more interesting. He just wanted to cut him to pieces and explore his body. It sounded dirty...maybe it was...the Doctor would surely gain great pleasure out of the experience. As Acel ran in, this time, he was aiming to hurl his sword...it was perfect! He had rid himself of the damn weapon! As the weapon was released from his arm, the Intel Doctor rushed in and immediately cranked the energy drives on, his back glowing like two small suns before he let another blast out of the staff as Acel ran, trying to hit him before he even got to the Illusionist.

Acel's Attack: 121 - 100 = 21 (100 - 21 = 79% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 64% Defense Chance) (-8% From Acel TA = 56% Defense Chance) (+5% From Taunt = 61% Defense Chance)

The taunt was working wonders, as the man was completely and totally without ability to land a hit on her, and he could not even try to land a hit on the others. This was good, as she knew that if the others were faced with the brunt end of his skill, they would be cleaved in two before they could even realize what had happened. With a single flurry of his strength, the other bit cores would be torn asunder. But, they were all beginning to tire--and the Illusionist knew that the tides of this battle would soon change...it frightened her greatly, but at the same time, invigorated her resolve to end this as fast as she possibly could. The man was able to cut down the arrow shot from the tree-line once more, but this time, the Neon Archer had grown wiser and left the cover of the trees, rushing into combat first hand to shorten the travel distance of the arrow and make sure that they were harder to dodge. Perhaps, as the man tired, this strategy would actually work out. The Intel doctor was doing its best too, but as the man closed in toward the Illusionist, hurling his sword at her, she laughed out loud at his stupidity. Abandoning his weapon? Was it a joke? She immediately blasted the incoming weapon with a force wave, launching it high into the air and spiralling up and up as he got closer and she merely blasted once more to send the man shifting off to the side as she moved the opposite direction to avoid him as he barrelled forward. "Too angry to even respond to me, now are you? Poor manners, human. Very poor."

Neon Archer's Attack: 100 - 105 = 1 (100- 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 84% Chance) (+8% From T.A = 92% Chance)
Intel Doctor's Attack: 70 - 105 = 1 (100 - 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 84% Defense Chance) (+8% From T.A = 92% Defense Chance)
Failed! 350 - 315 = 70 Damage (can't be over 80% reduction)

Acel knew that he had taken a risk in hurling his weapon, but he was so close behind it that he figured it would be easy enough to just catch it out of the air. He had completely forgotten to think about the woman's force-push abilities and the sword was instantly launched skyward. The blade twirled upward and upward, until he had lost sight of it completely. "Alright, the Archer has finally wizened up a little bit. He has taken to the battlefield piece of s**t arrow slinging scumbag has started to get a little smarter. He's left his hiding place and decided to join the adults on the battlefield. Probably things his weak a** shots can hit us if he is closer to us...maybe he's right...but ******** 'em. We need to get to this green b***h before my head explodes." Acel nodded once again, not wanting to talk too much as he was already pissed off enough, and he didn't need to start some sort of unfavourable argument because they were both mad. He just acknowledged the statement with a nod and a mental thank you as he rolled forward, mid-run to avoid the arrow coming at the back of his head--an easy enough defense. But directly after he had hurled his sword away from him, aiming to hit the woman in the chest, the Intel Doctor let off another blast of energy, aiming straight for his ribs. This time, Acel could not afford to change course, as he was trying to stick with his sword and he figured...to hell with it. He took the blast and it slammed into his side, ultimately causing him to stumble anyways as the heat singed his skin, even through his jacket. It didn't burn through the jacket itself, but the heat against his skin was hot enough to blister it badly, and he winced in pain as he lost his footing and hit the dirt, just as the Illusionist was blasting the sword into the air.

He grumbled in anger as he got back to his feet-trying to make sure that he was able to strike true when he planned his next attack...and he knew just how to surprise the Illusionist as he calmly walked a few paces to the right, keeping his eyes trained on her. "You've got control, Midas, over my right arm. I am not at all going to try to move it, you do it completely. You know exactly what we need, right?" Acel stood there and grinned as he looked at the Illusionist. "No, I just didn't want to bother responding. Just to make you feel better about yourself, to show that you are, indeed, infuriating me. It's what you do, you know you're doing it. You've succeeded. But, as far as not having the strength to strike you, b***h...just you wait. It might take time...but your henchmen hit like little girls. You don't have enough time before I have my sword at your throat, and believe me, my hits will hurt a lot more." He stated with a sneer. And as he finished talking his right arm suddenly lashed out, catching his sword out of the air, as Midas had been perfectly tracking where the blade was falling and as soon as it was in range, Midas snatched it and Acel dove forward, rolling and popping out of the somersault in an upward slash towards the Illusionist's chin, hoping to split her ******** face in two. "Besides, the day that I show a piece of s**t like you courtesy, and care about it...is the day I take these swords of mine to my own throat. And believe me...that's not coming any time soon."

Turn 10

So, it would seem that getting close most certainly hadn't improved the Archer's chances any more than they had been before...but he wasn't about to call it quits after only trying to hit the man from close distance once. They were beginning to wear him down, and the Archer could see the fatigue on all of their faces--but when the Intel Doctor actually managed to land a shot on him, the Neon Archer immediately clenched its fist and pumped it, only cheering aloud in its own head. They had finally landed a blow on the son of a b***h! But, it was short lived as the attack had only just barely staggered their foe. If they couldn't keep that level of assault up on a constant basis, they would not be able to bring this man down...but it was the first step. Soon enough he would go down--he had to. The Illusionist was next, and she stood there, doing her thing and mocking the man to make him sloppy. The strategy was dirty, sure, but it was working so far. She had launched his blade into the air so far that there was no hope of him retrieving it any time soon. So the Archer was careful as he dashed forward, leaping into the air and pulling back as hard as possible on the drawstring of its bow, the energy arrow charging and knocking to the string as the Archer released it and sent it spiralling forward toward the man's side once again, hoping to blow out some of his ribs.

Turn 10

As the Intel Doctor had taken aim and tried to attack the man while he was vulnerable it actually paid off! As soon as he was without his weapon, he was unable to do anything! Right? That was it right? But, as the man actually made eye contact with the Doctor, the thing s**t itself...almost. It felt the man's complete and total recognition of the strike, but he was IGNORING it. He had ALLOWED himself to be hit. He wasn't actually being outplayed by the Doctor. This infuriated the A.I. to degree--feeling robbed that his opponent had seen through the strike, but done nothing about it. Did he feel completely safe from the attacks? But as the man opened his mouth to speak to the Illusionist, the Doctor immediately knew...the man DID feel safe from his strikes...because they did not damage him enough to truly matter--and that was a problem. The Doctor needed to do something about this, or he was going to fall by the wayside...why would the Illusionist want him as a teammate if he was not able to carry his own weight? If he was not able to destroy his enemies by himself, why would he make a valuable asset to the team? His healing was not enough to carry himself through life...he had to get stronger. He had to make his damage count for more! The Doctor grinned, new resolve forming behind his mask as he charged toward the man, lighting up his drives and blasting once more toward the unarmed opponent. But...holy s**t! The man caught the sword out of the air as it was falling and then launched toward the Illusionist once again. In this short time the Intel Doctor shot another blast at the man, hoping to strike him and screw up his attempt to hit the Illusionist.

Acel's Attack: 121 - 100 = 21 (100 - 21 = 79% Defense Chance) (-30% From Stamina = 49% Defense Chance) (-8% From Acel TA = 41% Defense Chance) (+5% From Taunt = 46% Defense Chance)
Failed! 605 - 300 = 305 Damage

The fatigue was growing. It was truly beginning to weight the Illusionist down. She could feel her movements slowing, and she knew her enemy would be feeling the same sort of drag on his body as well. The sword had been knocked up into the air already, and it was in no danger of the man, after he had been hit by the Intel Doctor. The Illusionist snickered at him, but the man stood tall and spoke back to her, telling her that she had indeed succeeded at pissing him off, which she knew...nobody was immune to her toxins. She could craft a different toxin for every human being that came anywhere close to her, or any animal, or creature...anything at all. Nobody could avoid her spell. But, when he spoke arrogantly about how her henchmen hit like girls, the A.I. felt a certain fear...like she was the only thing that was capable of keeping this fight from being a loss. It was pressure, but she believed in herself. This tiny moment of being shaken by the words was enough as the man suddenly lashed out and caught the sword! She had forgotten about it almost after she had blasted it skyward, not even thinking it possible for the man to accomplish such a feat, and as he rolled forward and sprung up, her surprise constricted her movement and the lllusionist had no way of avoiding it as she pulled her head to the side, trying to get out of the way. The sword instead blasted up through her cheek and directly through one of her eyes. The Illusionist shrieked in agony as the blade cut through her face, and she stumbled back, her hands covering the wound and the dark verdant blood that seeped from the wound. Her face was contorted by rage as she faced the man, now, and she sneered at him as she tried her very best to force even more of the particles into the air. Poison him more--force him further into madness. But her rage was boiling now too as she looked at him. "There are still three of us, fool! You won't best us before we kill you. I guarantee that!"

Turn 10

Neon Archer's Attack: 100 - 105 = 1 (100- 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-30% From Stamina = 69% Chance) (+8% From T.A = 77% Chance)
Intel Doctor's Attack: 70 - 105 = 1 (100 - 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-30% From Stamina = 69% Defense Chance) (+8% From T.A = 77% Defense Chance)

As Acel rolled forward with all of his might, trying to make everything sudden and unavoidable after he had caught his sword mid-air, he popped up and threw every ounce of his energy and strength into the slash--and it was well worth it. The man grinned as he felt the blade snag on flesh, though he wasn't able to split the Illusionist's face in half, he was still able to slice her damn eye in half, and that in itself was quite enough for him. It soothed the raging torrent within him, and it made him feel so much better to see her screaming in agony. However, as soon as he had made his slash and opened her face up, he hopped away from her, not allowing himself to take too much time to himself to enjoy her suffering. As he stepped back he immediately took in his surroundings and he knew it would be the Neon Archer who struck first this time around, so he was prepared for it as the A.I. jumped into the air and drew back his bow. Acel was not going to be caught by the acrobatic marksman, and he watched as soon as the arrow released, and when it got close enough, Acel brought his sword upward and cut through the arrow once more, easily avoiding the shot, and moving forward toward the Intel Doctor. The Doctor was trying his best to hide the excitement it was feeling after it had managed to land a shot on Acel, but Midas and himself had both noticed the b*****d's glee. Acel would be sure to end that...very soon. The Intel doctor let a blast go from his staff, likely hoping to screw up the ability Acel had to hit the Illusionist, but he was too late, and Acel immediately used his forward momentum to jump into the air and dive directly over the blast, tucking and rolling on landing to mitigate any bumps or bruises. Acel was already tired enough, he didn't need to be achy too. "Okay, Mom."

Acel grinned at the savage expression on the Illusionist's face. Finally the woman's c**k-sure grin had been erased and replaced, and it made him feel one hundred and ten percent better about his situation. Even with his exhaustion he was managing to avoid the henchman's strikes. Now he just had to make sure he kept landing the ones against the green b***h before him. Green Lantern incarnate. If he could just get her off the battlefield the other two would crumble before him. A few cuts, and he could take her down, she was already shaken enough from the cut that had brewed across her eye. Acel grinned as she spoke, and she spat fire at him, talking about how he would die before he could take her down, and he shook his head. "Listen close, b***h. I know it's hard for you to see right now, given you're one eye-ball down. But, you're not going to survive this battle. I am going to tear you apart limb from limb, and then I am going to destroy your little minions. You will rue the day that you ******** with B.A.I.T.R and took a poor kid captive." He growled, immediately lunging into fight mode. He dashed toward her, now feeling absolutely happy to follow his body's impulses to attack her. He was feeling ready--like he could really win this one, and as he approached her, he dove once more, rolling and popping up to place himself behind her, and then he pulled back his sword quickly and dashed forward, attempting to stab the woman in the back, skewering her lung.

Turn 11

The Neon Archer had given it it's best shot--literally. It had tried to nail the man once again, shooting from this close range, but he was still falling short--how was that idiot Intel Doctor able to hit him and it wasn't able to land a single arrow this entire battle. It had shot at the man ten freaking times. TEN! It took a deep breath as it landed from its hop-shot, and it skidded to a halt, falling in behind the Intel Doctor and narrowing it's eyes at the b*****d. "What?" The Doctor questioned, feeling uncomfortable, and the Neon Archer grumbled to itself. "I just don't get how you were able to land a blow on him...I have been taking shots that are just as strategic as yours, and he sees through every single one of them, god damnit." The Intel Doctor wasn't nonplussed about it, but it admitted that the only reason he had been able to land a shot on the man either was because of the fact that Acel had let him land the shot. Well, skiddly doo, didn't that make the Neon Archer feel better. So they were both still incompetent bastards who couldn't land a proper attack on their enemy this long into a fight. Great. How comforting. Meanwhile, their leader just had her flipping eye cut in half. That was the last comforting thing of all. If this man was able to land regular attacks on her, she might just lose this fight. They couldn't have that happen.

The man was able to avoid the Intel Doctor's attack as well, easily making it past the blast with a quick dive, lunging completely overtop the energy shot, and landing like a graceful little douche. He was irritated. Perhaps he was overly hostile toward the man without actually needing to be, but who cared, the man was his enemy after all. After he had made his land, the man dove past the Illusionist and quickly attempted his next attack, but as he was in the midst of stabbing forward toward the Illusionist, the Neon Archer drew yet another bolt, and then held it, charging it for much longer than he would have usually. The blue hue to the arrow slowly, from the tip changing orange like the energy that surrounded the Neon Archer's bow. He held the arrow, his arm shaking visibly with the force it took to hold the bow at its charging point, and then, as it fully turned orange, the Neon Archer released to bolt, sending it rocketing towards Acel's chest. He would blow the b*****d's heart right out of his chest.

Turn 11

The Intel Doctor watched as Acel was able to dive over his attack, once again, and he cursed the man inwardly as he landed. He bit his lip to keep himself from screaming in frustration, but then he saw what happened as the Illusionist's face was completely split open by the man's attack. Acel had managed to cut directly through the woman's eye, and the Intel Doctor's stomach sank. The man had viciously wounded the woman, and that was going to cause some problems...however, it would also give the Doctor something to focus on. It knew that its offensive capability was rather low, but it knew how to patch a wound, and if it could keep the Illusionist on her feet, it would do its best to do so. The Neon Archer landed beside it after its attempted strike, and then looked at it, kind of angry-like, and the Intel Doctor didn't know what the hell he wanted. "What?" He asked, mentally, though the Neon Archer couldn't see the quirked brow behind the mask. The Neon Archer mentioned that he didn't know how the hell the Intel Doctor had managed to land a hit, and he heaved a sigh as he looked at the sword-wielding b*****d. "Honestly...I hate to say it, but the man looked right at me and my attack, and just acted like it didn't matter. He LET me hit him...it wasn't even a skilled shot or well placed...he just didn't want to bother changing course so he took it and kept going. Son of a b***h." It seemed to have made the Neon Archer feel a little better as he charged up a powerful shot..it had been a long time since the Intel Doctor had seen him need to use something like that. This would be a show. The Doctor then ran forward and charged his energy drives, letting it make its way to its staff once more and immediately pulling the code from the staff and immediately beginning to fuse the code into the wound on the woman's face, trying to heal the eye itself first. The orb stuck itself back together, and the code began to return function to it, but the Doctor was unable to even begin starting into the wound on the cheek or above the eye at all.

The Illusionist knew what she was signing up for. She was the one who was going to take the brunt of the entire assault from this man. So, if she was not prepared to take a hit or two, she knew she was doing the wrong job. But, her face hurt like hell, and now that her sight was cut in half, she was even more vulnerable to the man's strikes. However, the Neon Archer was continuing its assault, charging its shot up for a lengthy period of time--something that the A.I. core normally didn't need to do, but it seemed it was prepared to go all out for this little human b*****d. The Illusionist would have to put some distance between itself and the man if it didn't want to get caught in the crossfire. The Intel Doctor came in quickly and began to pull code from its energy drives to heal the wound that had been inflicted on the Illusionist, but it was not going to be able to heal everything instantly. She could feel the eye as it moved back together and began to heal. It hurt--stinging like hell, but it wasn't all too bad. And as blurry as it was, the sight began to return to the eye, and she was more than tankful for that. But, when the sight returned, she had lost track of Acel..where the hell did he go?

It was already too late. Acel was behind her and slamming forward, the blade driven directly through her side and protruding from her front--stabbing directly through one of her lungs, and the Illusionist coughed, blood spattering across her lips and chin as she did, completely taken aback by the strike, and seeing the sword protruding from her front. How was he suddenly overpowering her like this, was the exhaustion truly this potent that she could no longer fight back his blows at all? Or had she just been extremely lucky before? She couldn't tell yet...not fully. But it didn't matter. He had hit her again, and it was going to give the Intel Doctor a hell of a lot to work on after this. She could feel the blood pooling in her lung, and she knew it was dangerous. She could drown if it wasn't healed fast enough. She pulled herself off of the blade and turned to face the man, her features contorted into a scowl. "Well, looks like you've managed to land another one, huh?" She spat, blood spattering Acel's face, and then she laughed at him as she did it. "Well, lah-dee-dah. The Doctor will have me back on my feet in no time, and you will still die alone." She growled.

Turn 11

Neon Archer's Attack: 100 - 105 = 1 (100- 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-30% From Stamina = 69% Chance) (+8% From T.A = 77% Chance)

Acel knew that the damaged eye on the Illusionist was going to help his ability to outmaneuver her before the Intel Doctor was able to fully repair her vision. He knew that if he took the opportunity at hand, he would be able to make use of it on a grand scale--and he did. As he managed to get behind the Illusionist, he thrust forward with all of his might and managed to crush the blade through her back and directly through her body, the length of the sword coated in her verdant blood. Her cries of pain were satisfying to say the least, as the rage the woman was instilling in his body continued to boil. He twisted the blade as she shifted off of it, just trying to make it as painful as possible, and knowing that the more pain he inflicted upon her, the more likely she was to falter once again when he came back in to attack. The Illusionist was dripping blood from her mouth, her lung had obviously been compromised by the attack--good, that would definitely slow her down! She made a snide comment about how he had managed to land another strike, spitting the green blood in his face. She went on about how the Doctor would manage to heal her up in no time, and that he was still going to die in this fight and Acel chuckled about it to himself. Was she still so sure about that? Because, honestly, Acel knew that him losing was still a possibility, to be sure, but at the same time, he also knew that he had a chance, if he played his cards right and managed to avoid a few more blows. All he really needed to do was be sure to land a few on the Illusionist while taking minimal damage. If he could keep himself in at least fifty percent working order by the time he took the Illusionist down, he felt like he could win this battle.

The Neon Archer made its move, pulling back its bow and charging the arrow, and even during his interaction with the Illusionist, the Archer was busying himself with this arrow of his--though this time it was not the customary blue hue to it--this arrow was glowing orange, and it was looking as though the Neon Archer was struggling to hold the thing there--bad news bears. He and Midas, however, were not exactly intimidated, as they still knew the trajectory of the arrow, and could avoid it before being hit by the damn thing. As The Neon Archer let it loose, Acel knew cutting this one was probably a bad idea, and so he dropped low and rolled to the side, collecting himself quickly so he could watch the arrow and what happened. The Illusionist had picked up on the Neon Archer's activity as well and had already gotten far from the arrow path as it struck into the dirt and suddenly blasted into a massive explosion. It left a crater in the ground four feet deep and ten feet wide, the shockwave enough to almost knock Acel off his feet even from the distance he was at. His ears rang, and he winced as he tried to keep himself oriented. "Well, at least we know damn well to keep away from those, here-on-in. Please don't go all samurai jack on me and cut into one of those." Midas stated, but Acel, dealing with his condensed rage, did not respond. When Acel turned to see the Illusionist, the Intel Doctor was already by her side. It had managed to piece the woman's eye back together, now, and when Acel wiped his face clean of the blood that had been spat on him, he clenched his jaw as tight as he could. He was not going to die alone. He was not going to fail this battle, he was not going to lose to some classless, second rate A.I., he was going to end this battle. And he was going to do it swiftly and with no remorse. He charged forward toward her, knowing that the eye itself was probably taking some time to adjust, and he targeted that side--going for her blind zone, and as he got close to her, Acel used one hand, stretched elegantly to maximize the range as he cut diagonally toward the woman's eye once again, hoping to reduce the effectiveness of the Intel Doctor's healing.

Turn 12

The Intel Doctor was tied up healing the Illusionist--keeping her on her feet like the Doctor needed to. If she fell, this monster of a man would tear through their whole team in a second. That was the biggest problem. But if they whittled down this man enough--even if he killed the Illusionist, then they might just be able to come out of the fight victorious. It all depended on how long the Illusionist could keep this up--and how long the Doctor would take to get the Illusionist back on her feet. If it could fully heal her, this battle would be in the bag, but if he failed in any way to restore her, then Acel would not miss that advantage. The Doctor had to keep at it, and the Illusionist could not afford to take any more hits--that was sure. The baiter, was, unfortunately, extremely fast, and he was so overly observant that the Neon Archer no longer knew what strategies to implement. He had seen him charging up his arrow and as soon as he was about to release it, the man sped off to the side and ran--and he was damn smart to do so, as the arrow released its vicious blast. The shockwave sent everyone momentarily off kilter, but it wasn't so bad as to knock anyone over. The Archer, however, was left empty handed once again. It had been thus-far, unable to land a blow on the man and the shame that was beginning to take hold was unbearable. If he could not land a strike on his enemy, what good was he? How was he supposed to continue on as a warrior if he failed so spectacularly. But the battle was far from over, and the Neon Archer's chances were far from done with. He had every opportunity to continue firing, and every opportunity to peg this son of a b***h as fast as he possibly could. Just because Acel was slippery didn't mean he was some sort of god. He smirked as he pulled back on the draw-string once more and the energy arrow appeared, knocking to the string as he released it quickly, aiming for a high-speed attack while he was wiping his face of the blood the Illusionist had spat on him. Hopefully the arrow would tear through the man's throat and take his damn head off.

Turn 12

The Intel Doctor had managed to heal a bit of the Illusionist's eye, at the very least, bringing the pieces back together and managing to actually save the thing's vision. However, even though the Intel Doctor had managed to do a good job of what he was able to get done, it was too late. The Illusionist would have the ability to see again, but it would also be too late for it to catch the man springing behind her and slamming his sword through her back. The Intel Doctor winced at the sight, knowing how badly it must have hurt the Illusionist to be hit by such an attack. However, she had been through worse, and he had healed her through it--just like he would do right now. He wasn't going to let this piece of crap get the better of him! As the combatants scattered, the Intel Doctor realised that the Neon Archer was making his big move, and immediately the A.I. took off as well, making sure to be nowhere near the arrow when it let off its massive explosion. But, as soon as the blast wave had passed, the Intel Doctor was sure to go one direction and one direction only--to the Illusionist. It rushed to her side once again, knowing she had been heavily damaged by the stab that the baiter had executed. "Don't you worry. That feeling like you're about to drown will pass soon. I just need to patch your lung, and you'll be right as rain." The Intel Doctor spoke as he began to pull the strings of code from his staff once more and this time threw them all into the stab wound on the woman's stomach and back, and made sure the code worked its way to the lung, and began to patch the wound there, leaving the rest of it for now. By the end of it, at least the open wounds would be closed on the lung, and he could work on the actual outside wounds after.

Turn 12

5% Heal From Intel Doctor: +63 Health
Acel's Attack: 121 - 100 = 21 (100 - 21 = 79% Defense Chance) (-30% From Stamina = 49% Defense Chance) (-8% From Acel TA = 41% Defense Chance) (+5% From Taunt = 46% Defense Chance)

The Illusionist grinned as she looked at the man. Sure he was strong--but just because he was strong didn't mean he was infallible. He wasn't some sort of god or miracle worker. The Illusionist still had a damn good chance at avoiding his movements, and if it played the cards right, it might still limp away from this battle. Sure, the wound across its cheek and forehead were burning, and the eye's vision was still partly cloudy due to the blood seeping from the wound, but she was moving, and that's what counted. The Neon Archer had missed the large explosive arrow, and it needed some time before it would be able to use the ability again, but for now, the Archer was using some quick timing to try and pick and choose his shots wisely, and he let one crank off as soon as Acel started rubbing his face to get the blood off--good, hit him while he is distracted. It was the best time to land a strike, after all. As the enemies all came back together after scattering away from the explosion, the Intel Doctor began its healing once again, slowing new and fresh code segments through the wound in order to patch the holes in the Illusionist's lung. As soon as they were sealed, and the blood stopped flowing into the organ, things began to get a little bit easier. Breathing wasn't quite as hard--though the fatigue was enough to make it more difficult than it wanted to be. The lung still felt wet on the inside, but this would pass as her body managed to push the blood from her lungs.

It was at this point that Acel came rushing back in, attempting to land another strike. He stayed at a relative distance, trying to slash at the Illusionist while she wasn't expecting it--using the sort of hit and run tactics that he likely needed to use in order to come away from this alive. But, even if she was weakened, and her vision blurry, she knew the man was going to go for her eye once again--it was her current weak spot, so why would't he? She immediately brought her hands up by her face and the green energy formed the same shield there, completely absorbing the impact of the blade, stopping it dead in its tracks, even if it was hard for the momentum to be stopped. She sneered at her enemy as she looked at him, trying to land another blow. "Sorry, dear, but those last couple hits were just lucky. I told you, you're not going to walk away from this battle."

Turn 12

Neon Archer's Attack: 100 - 105 = 1 (100- 1 = 99% Defense Chance) (-30% From Stamina = 69% Chance) (+8% From T.A = 77% Chance)

Acel was trying his very best to manage to fight toe-to-toe with these A.I., but he couldn't lie to himself at this point--he was damn tired. His body was in the beginning stages of shutting down. He tried for an attack that was more fluid and less powerful, because he knew that he needed to conserve his strength, and he remembered Aki's words then, telling him to be like water--and never a stagnant river. He didn't remember the words she had used exactly, but he remembered the lessons that he had learned from it. He smiled to himself as he thought of the old woman, and as the sword made impact against the Illusionist's shield, she chided at him once again, speaking of how he would never walk away from the battle. "I am starting to think that you're just trying to comfort yourself by saying these things. Because I absolutely guarantee that you're not intimidating me in the slightest, by telling me that I won't live. I know I will live...do you? Because you are the one who is bleeding right now--you're the one closer to death." Acel snapped with a grin as he tried his very best to think of a way he could use his surroundings to his advantage at this point. He eyed the small and large craters alike on the ground, getting a feel for their placement before he formulated exactly what attack pattern he would be using--only hoping that it would actually work out. The Neon Archer, however, had different plans for him at the moment as it let another arrow fly toward him. "That b*****d has some nerve. He just won't stop. He's like a mosquito that knows it could never possibly win in a fight--and will likely be crushed by the human it bites...but it does it anyways, because it's the only option its got. The thing just can't realize...it's irrelevant. It doesn't actually matter in this fight." "Tell me that after one of those ******** arrows actually hits me." Acel said with a chuckle.

As the arrow continued its path toward him, Acel brought his sword up, confident in the safety of cutting the blue arrows, as they were not quite as over-loaded with energy as the orange ones were--and as he cut the arrow, as usual, the splinters exploded around him, though not potent enough to harm him in any way. When Acel turned, the Intel Doctor was going back to what it did best--healing the b***h that he was hitting. If the Intel Doctor was given enough time, it could certainly heal her back to full health--Acel could not allow that. He could not allow her to be treated fully, or he would lose this battle. He had to make sure that he ended her quickly, before too much of his damage could be mitigated. The code flowed into either side of the open stab wound, and Acel knew that the Intel Doctor was patching up the woman's internal organs--likely her lung, as it had definitely been hit, and she would drown without healing. But, even as the Intel Doctor healed her up, Acel would not stop his mission to tear this woman down. He had to make sure that she fell--and if he didn't, then he was about to watch everything he had done during this fight disappear. That could not happen. He took a deep breath as he concentrated on the issue at hand. This Illusionist had to die. She had to. He blasted forward, his body mobile--fluid--he would not let anythign slow him down as he shifted around to the side, putting one of the small craters perfectly behind the Illusionist, and then he used a fake slash to hopefully scare the woman backwards into the hole so she would trip. If she fell, he would be there, slashing down at her as powerfully as he could, hoping to open up her chest.

Turn 13

The Neon Archer didn't need the approval of those around it. It didn't need to hit the man in order to prove its worth. It knew that it was a damn good combatant. It was a soldier--a warrior. He had won many battles--defeated many foes, and he was not going to start doubting himself because he was missing this man. The baiter he faced was the strongest opponent he had ever seen--he was the strongest opponent he had ever had to fight against, and he would win it in the end--and he would grow from it too, he was sure. The Intel Doctor was keeping Acel at by very well. The Illusionist blocked the attack, making sure not to take any additional damage as she was evading, and then being healed even more. This strategy was the only one that would make this battle work for them--and it would eventually. They just needed to keep their heads on straight and make sure that this blonde sack of s**t didn't manage to land any more hits on their leader. As long as they could do that--they won. The Neon Archer was starting to feel a little bit better even, as it thought positively about their situation. Positivity was key--that was a very well known thing. The Neon Archer took a deep breath in, watching as the Intel Doctor worked its magic and patched the leader's lung up. Then, it rushed into combat--running forward toward Acel. This time, he was not going to allow the man the space. He would not give him time to think--he was going to catch him off guard. The Neon Archer blasted forward, running full sprint toward Acel, and when he got close, the A.I. pushed off of the ground and launched into the air, soaring high above the man and pulling the drawstring mid-air as he flipped overtop of Acel. As the arrow charged, the Neon Archer pointed its bow down over Acel, toward the crown of his head and let the arrow loose, trying to shoot it right down into the top of the man's head.

Turn 13

The Intel Doctor felt the wounds healing on the lung of the Illusionist--manipulating the code so that the holes would be perfectly sealed up, and it could begin on the other wounds around the body now that it was safe to say the first major issue had been taken care of. It was exhausting work to constantly need to heal an ally that was taking damage. You had to heal around every corner and supply as much possible code to the wounds as you could before the enemy was able to tear them back open. Even the Intel Doctor knew that his healing skills could use an upgrade, but there wasn't much he could do about that in the here and now. He needed to get stronger before he would be able to heal on a more efficient level. The fact that the Illusionist had managed to block the attack that Acel threw at her was perfect--that meant his heals had managed to seal her lung, AND she didn't take any more damage. It was the perfect situation, and if she could keep it up, there was no possible way for them to lose, but the man was not backing down--and he had avoided every single attack that had been thrown at him so far--all but that weak little strike the Intel Doctor had landed--and the battle had been raging on, now, for quite some time. The Intel Doctor charged his energy drives, flowing more strands of code from the tip of the staff and leading them to the wound on the Illusionist's forehead, closing the slash that had continued upward from the eye. Now there was only a small wound on the lower cheek of the Illusionist instead of a large gash over and under the eye. They just had to hold on a little bit longer--a little longer and they would get this guy. They were sure of it. The Intel Doctor was sure of it. He would get even more tired soon--and when he started making mistakes it was all over...if he started to...no...no he couldn't think like that. It was definitely when. No ifs.

Failed! 605 - 300 = 305 damage

The Illusionist grinned toward Acel as the man spoke back to her--holding up her arrogant facade as he spoke to her, but she knew that he was right. She was repeating herself about their assured victory because she needed to make herself feel better about the situation. She was taking heavy damage, and the Intel Doctor's healing would not keep up with it if the man was able to slip past her defenses. However, she was able to block his last attack--so things were looking up a little bit at the very least. If she kept it up, then she would be top condition again, and this son of a b***h would be dead. The Neon Archer was going for a more advanced maneuver with the baiter--hoping to spiral overtop of him and manage to release a bolt of energy through the top of his head while he was flying over him. Sure it was possible, but it was a hell of a risk instead of just going for regular shots. Hopefully it would pay off, that's all the Illusionist could think of. But, the Intel Guard was by her side, still issuing forth his strands of code to patch together the wounds that the baiter had created. The gash above her eye was healing closed, which was perfect, the blood that was coming from that part of the wound was the blood that was clouding its eye--so if it could stop the flow from that part, then it would be able to see much better.

However, it was at that point that Acel was rushing in toward her again, and the Illusionist, seeing him coming, and seeing his sword strike toward her, she stepped backwards to avoid the range of the slash--but she stepped backwards directly into one of the holes in the ground created by the arrows that the Neon Archer had been firing all battle long. The foot got caught in the hole and she started to fall backwards--absolute terror coating all of her features as she fell, knowing that she was about to be hit by the man--there was no way for her to defend herself while she was distracted by the terror of falling, and her balance was completely gone--and then there he was. Acel appeared in front of her his body moving like silk as he flashed past her, his sword swinging full tilt across her chest as she moved by her, and she felt the cold bite of the steel cutting through her chest, opening a savage gash beneath her collar bones, from one side of her body to the other. As she stood from the trip, wincing in agony once again, finding it hard to move her body because of the various cuts, she looked at the man once again and laughed hysterically as she did. "You don't seem to get it. We don't need to hope or pray. Even if you manage to defeat us, it doesn't matter. We've won--your species is going to die out in no time--live with it. Try your best--but even if you succeed--know your whole species is dead. Just a matter of time." She continued to laugh as she stood there, and she was sure it wouldn't be the most calming thing for him to hear.
