Well this could be fun. It was better than staying at home after all. It wasn't everyday there was a murder after all, let alone a deity. This was a once in a life time opportunity after all. What a story it could be back in the lake. She was glad she made the choice to come.
The whole...Walking thing was odd though. She really needed to spend some more time on land...Well no point settling on the past. The present was the temple and this mystery! One of the land goers was already waving around some sort of arrow...Were they all that weird? Lola rubbed the back of her head before moving over to a deep purple nymph. "What are you thinking?"

Hjortur shrugged as she verbalized his own thoughts. "I suppose if they are willing to summon us mortals, either there must be a degree of hope, or their desperation has reached its near end. I wish for the first." Conversation remained as such until they neared in time to hear Mayu speak, her concerns suggesting something he had not yet considered.
That their presence may not just be to search, but to provoke.
If that were to occur, the possibility of their own danger was great. Looking up at Kaarina, his smile otherwise unbroken by the morbid thought, he nodded. "It would be my pleasure. Did you attend the festivities? I do not recall seeing you there, and I would never forget a face such as yours."

Serendipity had been bothered for a while about what she had discovered at the temple during her last visit. That once beautiful temple in ruins... and something had happened that Iordanes wouldn't even talk to her about. It troubled her that her friend couldn't even talk about what had happened.
She remembered that there had been notices around the temple, and had decided to go back to see what she could find. Maybe while she was there she could find something, anything, to help. If anything, she could maybe clean up the place.
What she saw as she walked towards the temple surprised her: Pae and Deity alike, everywhere. Was this a party? It didn't look like a party, at least one that was normally thrown here. Quietly, she walked through to the growing crowd, a look of concentration on her face as she tried to recognize anyone there. Giving up, she moved towards the closest deity there, or in this case two closest: one orange and one blue.
"Excuse me... What exactly are all of these Pae here for?" She asked the orange one who felt more approachable. The name Himeros came to mind, but she wasn't sure if that was correct. Better to just fake it until names were given.

Caoimhe nudged several of her finely preened feathers into place, taking care in her appearance before entering the temple. It had been too long since she'd last been, the harpy missed her flock. She took a deep breath and entered the halls where Adonis had flexed his last flex.
Words of working in groups floated gently to her ears, in a reasonable tone. A familiar one at that. Caoimhe smiled, glad to hear her sisters were already there. It didn't do for her to be late, but she had gotten so distracted with the shiny thing...
"Groups?" She whispered to herself, coming to a halt near one of her sisters. "Lillibeth, do you have any ideas what clues we should be looking for?" Caoimhe asked. She was out of ideas. She'd looked and looked, even tried to get the help of one of Venus' grandchildren to look for the traitor, and yet no luck. Nothing Nothing at all. She was at the end of her rope with the matter, it was no wonder Venus fainted whenever his name was brought up...
Every bobble was suspect, particularly the ones of Dolandor breed. The last to be suspected could be the closest to their Mistress. Just working on a list of suspects was hard enough, deciding on which got priority added to the distraction. That was until a loudly enthusiastic one started pointing an arrow around at another bobble.
Making her way closer, but out of accidental poking range she examined the item. "Hmm" came a hum as she looked closer. Was the arrow left behind? Couldn't there didn't appear to be any blood on it. Next, who would be so gauche as to bring an arrow to place where Adonis fell? Was someone TRYING to upset her mistress? There were less unseemly ways then this. "The wood looks familiar" her musings were aloud but not directed to anyone in particular. if it was a message from the killer, it could lead to the identity of same.
The melodious voice of Mayu called her attention instantly. "Sister!" Greeting her back with a warm smile, she reached out to put a hand gently on her sister. There was great concern on her own face noticing the subtle clues that this was truly weighing on her, "Thank you, lovely. You are impeccable my dear. Once this mess is sorted you and our Mistress could use a good spa day. How is Venus doing?" Really she wanted to know how Mayu was truly holding up. Part of her felt guilty taking part in this, at least one of the sisters should stay behind and help Mayu. Catching the killer was just as helpful, however.
Nodding in acknowledgement to the praise she looked to all the pae around and added, "Someone has to help the poor bobbles." Truly a deed of charity, the things would be lost. "At once Sister, you'll be the first to know." Considering the arrow, there was debate if it was clue enough to bring up. To stress Mayu out even more over what could be a joke in poor taste wasn't worth it.
The speech was a good one, and while she'd prefer to work with her other Sister, it was probably a good idea to find the most useless ordainment and guild them along. Fae and Naiad? Interesting ones to come to the call. Too many Deities made her feathers ruffle. Could they come to one gathering and not throw their non-lethal arrows about? There was bravery too, going to the site where one of their own was felled.
Ah, fashionably late and lovely as ever, "Caoimhe, my dear, how are you doing lovely?" Her question was a good one and an answer wasn't nearly as good. "The arrow stands out, who would be so bold as to toss one of those in this spot? We'll find it. Though I think these lovely ornamental flowers may need our help, the dears." The tone was sweet and kind, the actual feeling behind not even close.
Harmonia was pleased when the mortals started paying attention to the arrow. That would point them on the right path. There wasn't long to enjoy the scene when siblings started filter in. Pothos looked more down than usual, that was noteworthy enough as it is. Add in a twin starting to whisper and they had her attention.
There was a fae that had approached them as well, one completely unknown to her. The question was a strange one, why gather here if not for the murder? It was a wonder of the moment. Still, the fae hadn't asked her, she asked the brothers.
Leaving the mortals to their own devices she approached the brothers, "Pothos, Himeros, how are you both?" What did they know? Eros likely had the answer but there was always a chance she wasn't the only one with leads.
Mayu spoke, lovely little songbird that served her Mother. Though if she was here, who was looking after Venus? If her words spurred them on, then more direction couldn't hurt. As long as the harpy returned to Venus' side shortly.
Phaenna making her entrance brought the deity back to the poor throw with the arrow. Phaenna wasn't laughing so maybe she hadn't seen it? "Hello, Phaenna."
Ah, another of the younger graces appeared. There were about as many of the Deities here as there were mortals. If that was a good or bad thing, it was hard to tell.

Kaarina was glad to have found a partner so easily, they could start looking for clues right away. While there was a chance of danger as it was a murderer that they where after she did not seem to be bothered by it much. "I did not attend, although I heard it got rather chaotic at the end. Where you there?"
"Oh? Wouldn't forget a face hmm?" She smiled at him for a moment before continuing. "You must have a good memory for that."
Looking around the vicinity of the temple she wondered where a good place to start looking would be. Would it be better to look around here or look for clues inside?

Hjortur nodded. "Yes, I attend every year," to see the most beautiful of the goddesses. Naturally, he didn't say that last part out loud; some might not be so agreeable to such outright fawning over one while with another. It was bad taste. "It happened just inside the temple, near the end; probably the chaos you reference."
"I can show you the location if you so wish. There appear to be enough other pae'il to thoroughly complete the search here."

Summer was excited she really hopped this time she would not have to run off because something had come up. Why was she called out to hand out candy. So this time she was going to solve a murder mystery maybe this could make her feel cold.
The one murdered was a god she did not realize that gods could be killed but this was an invitation from the goddess so they must not still be sure who did it. As she came up the steps to the temple she noticed all the erotes that were standing around talking hmm this might get interesting. looking up she noticed the harpies talking may be they knew something she did not.

Seren quietly observed each pae around her as watched pae arrive, she certainly hadn't been the first to arrive, and certainly not the last. She watched the pae shoving the tied arrow in pae's faces thinking to herself just how odd this was, oh well, to each pae their own. She was brought back to her thoughts when the blue and yellow pae's direct question. "I think it's about time we figure out what happened, and i'm not entirely sure how that arrow fits in but we should try to get our hands on it to examine it." She broke her gaze from the group all trying to get a good look at the arrow and looked towards the one who approached her "I'm Seren.... " she waited to find out this other pae's name.

Naomi wandered into the temple, her mind was in more then one place. She was curious what was going on here, and at the same time she had Ashen pulling at her hand wanting to see more of this huge place. She looked up towards the ceiling of the tall building and kept moving in the direction Ashen was pulling. The only bad side to this action was now she'd taken her eyes off the other pae in the place and where her son was pulling her. It didn't take long before the small pae tried to pull her right past two others and she ran directly into a orange-brown pae "Ashen!" she scolded now trying to keep him still as she turned her attention to the pae she'd run into "I am sooo sorry"
"Lola." Nice to meet you Seren." The naiad smiled before looking over to the angel who did have the arrow. "Looks broken to me...Besides, I'm not too sure if that lady will give it up willingly." Well they did need a starting point but..."Well what do you know about what happened last year? I didn't come so the only thing I really know is a deity was murder and what the...Bird thing was talking about...That there is a monster around..." Were they still around? Or even here? Would they come back to the scene of the crime OOO how exciting! "Well the bird said to work with someone so...How about it? I'm sure we could solve this with well...A bit more information of course." She let out a giggle. Oh this was going to be a fun night.

Fea Line
Harlow rolled his eyes at his twin, though only the one red orb was visible due to the patch he wore. No one knew the actual reason for the eyepatch and Harlow enjoyed making them guess. "You know you're going to enjoy this as much as I am," he murmured to her. Yes, it had been his idea. The twins who shared so much also shared a deeply morbid curiosity that sent them into situations that many would not otherwise put themselves. He smirked a bit at the tone of his sister's voice. He knew she was mostly teasing him, which was quite normal for the pair.
He looked around the room, as Eszra pointed pairs out to him. He watched the one wielding the arrow as he leaned his staff down to take a nibble from the sausage stuck there. "Hm, if she does, we could turn this into a competition between the two of us," he suggested and grinned at his twin. "Though one mystery would be much simpler to solve than the other...hm. Not quite fair," he murmured.
Tassos calmly fluttered towards the temple as others began to gather outside it. Normally, he wouldn't find himself dealing with such troubles. The island was filled with more trouble than he dared to think about. He just wanted peace to finally take over it so he can go back to his little corner of it in the quiet and relax.
It wasn't that Tassos was lazy. He was just old. He'd seen more than his fair share of life on the island. Thankfully, he didn't look the part of a crotchety old man...Older than most in appearance, but not covered in wrinkles and hair.
Looks aside, Tassos sighed softly as he landed. He figured he should at least answer the call to help in the investigations at the very least. If this murder mess caused any sort of chaos among the Gods and Goddesses... well, then his hope for peace was farther from his grasp than he had initially realized.
He noticed a young one waggling an arrow in another's face. He found it odd that she would appear so serious in her investigative attempts, yet treat the 'evidence' as if it were a treat and the pae she was showing it to was her pet. Odd indeed. Watch out for that one...
He then turned, spying a young demoness near to the first and felt the need to snag her up as his searching partner for the night. The feathered speaker had a point. Two pairs of eyes were definitely better than one. And if anything could harm... or, apparently, kill a God, then they really shouldn't be doing anything alone. He gave her a gentle tap on the shoulder then made a small gesture with his hand towards the rest of the temple to start investigating immediately.

Amaya
Seneca had perched at the top of the temple as others began to cluster nearby. She too had worried over the horrible.... thing that had happened to her father. She didn't even dare speak or even think of the 'M' word.
Seeing her sister hover down towards the crowd, Seneca thought it best to do the same. She floated down beside Shansa and quietly nudged her sister's arm with her own. As if to silently say that she was there for her if need be, but appeared focused on the crowd itself.

Amaya nodded to the angel male who had tapped her on the shoulder and looked where he was looking. Then she nodded. Softly Amaya said. "I'm Amaya" she didn't ask him if he would be working with her tonight, she figured that was why he had come up to her in the first place. Unless he had a clue in mind.
"Not entirely sure what happened here, only what I heard... A huge fight with some strange pae, and someone killed. And not sure about the monster but yeah well..." she continued to watch the crowd ahead of them. "Sure, why not. As for information... I still want to see that arrow, but for now.... " she looked left and right "how about... that way" she pointed to their left.
