His heart went out to her, Cecil really hated to make her worry but between him and Corey he felt Hitsu had a better chance with Corey. Not to say he would leave her, but Corey was organized, a leader, and he was just the brute strength in this operation.
As she spoke in her broken voice he rubbed her back trying to get her to calm down. "Now, now, you won't lose me here. And the university has been a good family to us both after everything that happened, yeah? They look out for each other, which is why I did what I did. I am sorry to make you worry but it will be okay." He pulled away just enough to lean down so that he could see her eye to eye. "Okay?"
He tried to brush away some of her tears with the back of her fingers. "Go get a drink and relax for a bit. If you want to help me you can play something safe but stay away from the roulette room." Only one of them needed to suffer that mistake.

His contact was a comfort, even if she didn't fully believe the words that he was speaking. She managed to take several deep breaths, though shaking, trying to collect herself. If he'd spent all of his coins, she had to pull herself together so that she could function to try and win more.
Hitsu looked him in the eye, finally, when he was lowering himself to look at her properly. She stared at him for a long moment, sniffling and she wanted to disagree... But she nodded softly at last.
God, why did he have to be so selfless... It was one of the things that she - and her brother, she knew - loved about him, but in a situation such as this he was putting himself in such danger. He needed to worry about himself, too. There could very well come a time when his noble deeds were his downfall.
Shooing his hands away from her face after a few moments, she rubbed at her eyes herself with her sleeves. "I'm not leaving you here... I won't leave you here. I'll find a way to pay for you."
Though, as she walked away, she decided she was going to at least try to educate herself on the room he was telling her to avoid. Because if he couldn't listen to her requests, she was going to return the favor purely out of spite.
