A strange anger flushed his cheeks, warming the sides of his face like fire. The damned AI brought up fears and worries that he would rather suppress forever. He didn’t want to think about the fact that his once good friend could possibly think of him as a murderer. He didn’t want to think about how it almost felt like she was right. That he was indeed a murderer. He knew a lot of his once friends thought that way about him. He could tell by how they looked at him when he walked the halls of his university, how they whispered to each other as they watched him walk to the main office to drop out. It didn’t help that all those whispers echoed in his beaten brain, making him think that he was, that he is. Even still, he could hear them. Even agree with them.
But this was no place for those thoughts. No place to be wallowing in your own misery, or to let oneself go into those kinds of dark places, and let them consume him. No, he had to be better than it. So, before he struck again, he forced himself down, forced himself to stop and assess the situation. The image of his friend, or what used to be his friend, melted away revealing the damned AI that had cause the illusion in the first place. For a moment, Akio was thankful that it was all not real, that his friend wasn’t there, blaming him for her best friend’s death. He wanted to never see her again, to never have to face that kind of disappointment on her face that he knew he would see. Akio took a step back, gripping his sword’s hilt to keep his focus right and his head on straight. He couldn’t let that happen again.
Now that he was able to see and think clearly, he was able to notice the first attack coming in from the Vault Buster. It aimed another clumsy attempt at punching him in the back, rushing at Akio from behind with a sort of desperate speed that made it clumsy and imprecise. With ease, Akio was able to step aside and keep track of the other enemies that were coming directly towards him. Not Dal’Mori, but him. All of them. Akio’s bad habit sprung up again, and he gritted his teeth without realizing it. He had to think his way through this battle, just like every other battle before that.
His eyes glanced over to the other enemy, the small beetle creature that was scampering around trying its best to not be seen. But the thing had stopped, then braced itself, and Akio realized it was going to throw one hell of an attack at him. Even if the thing was ridiculously small, Akio didn’t particularly want to be hit by the damned thing. He hadn’t encountered one of these before, but he could tell by the obvious body language that it was going to shoot something at him. So, the man did the obvious thing, ducking and rolling to the side to avoid any damage being dealt to him. Before Akio was even on his feet again, the damned thing scampered away like the stupid little creature it was. Now, he was mad, though not blinded by any fury. And it wasn’t like he was doing unwell in the battle, he was just frustrated by how they scampered just out of reach of him, managing to dodge and duck every time he attacked. Then again, that’s how most battles went, yes?
So he took a cooling breath, making sure to keep his eyes on the prize. A winning battle. And that damned illusionist just kept talking. Not just talking but going on about how pretty and attractive she was. Which, to be honest… She wasn’t. She was an AI, and those things were always weird looking. But the woman, er thing, materialized a set of knifes in her hands to shoot an attack at him. The knives shot at him in a scattered shot, the blades shooting for spots that weren’t quite vital, but would deal a lot of damage if it hit. With a quick movement Akio deflected each knive, sending them clattering to the ground with the sudden loss of momentum where they vanished as fast as they appeared. Slowly he stood, keeping his eyes on the Illusionist to make sure she wasn’t going to do anything funny while he thought.
It would be best to continue with the original plan. Take out the weak first, then focus on the stronger Illusionist. If the weaker ones were to be taken care of first, it would be easier to focus all their energy on the one enemy. So that was what he did, turning in the blink of an eye and directing his attack to the Vault Buster once more. It wouldn’t take very long for it to go down, so that would be what would happen first. Five attacks, five quick slashes where Akio pleased. One would land across the shoulders, the second across the face. The third would strike low, going along the feet, while the fourth would assert its dominance up the things torso. The fifth would be the most fun, striking the face with the same upwards momentum that was built up from the fourth.
Once Akio was done with it, all he could hope for was that it would look similar to ribbons. Then with it dying, he would be able to move on to the smaller menace that plagued the beautiful landscape.

Dal'Mori Cestrol Menne
Turn 3
It took so much more effort to bring himself back under control than he thought it would. Even as he sailed through the air, he was focusing on getting his mind and body back in sync with each other. He barely recognized the fact that he missed, a mere trifle of a problem compared to not being at one with himself. The weight of gravity began to take its toll, pulling him towards the ground shortly after passing the Illusionist, given his rather low aimed arc. As his feet impacted the ground, he pulled himself into a low crouch which, with the break in concentration that Illusionist managed to inflict on him, caused him to roll forward because he crouched too low.
Even as he tumbled forward a few feet, the sheer momentum enough to keep him rolling through the surprisingly soft flowers. He landed, quite ungracefully, when his momentum finally died out. He slowly rose to his feet, and turned to look at the battlefield, trying as hard as he could to slip back into the correct frame of mind. Ignoring the taunting tone of the Illusionist as she spoke, he turned his gaze immediately to the fight, making sure not to leave his back to the enemies. What he saw caused him to wince.
Kawaguchi was being attacked by all three of them.
Whether it was because he was the most available opponent, or because they perceived him to be the weakest was unclear to Dal'Mori. The fact remained the same, they were all ganging up on Kawaguchi. As for why he winced, the truth was, this fact made him feel rather bad. He was the appointed vanguard, and yet he had allowed himself to be distracted enough for the enemy to direct enough of the flow of battle to be able to completely ignore his presence.
This wouldn't do. He needed to get things back under control. He glanced towards Kawaguchi, who seemed to be handling himself quite well, despite whatever it was he saw when the thrice damned Illusionist cast her spell. He also seemed to have the right idea. Turn the odds in their favor. Well, the Illusionist was the strongest, or at least strong enough to hold her own against both of them, so the best option would be to take out the one that Akio wasn't attacking. The fight would then go from three on two, to two on one.
Significantly better odds.
His gaze narrowed as he settled on a new battle plan, adopting the very same idea that Kawaguchi was using, and shot off. Every step towards the illusive little beetle beastie brought his mind into clearer focus. As he slipped back into in the fight, his mind finally slipped back into place, and he was able to move with the fluid grace of a river or a dancer. His body moved swiftly along the soft dirt as swiftly as a breeze of wind, his eyes constantly seeking out the ugly beastie that would find itself facing down the end of his weapon.
He spotted it just as it came out to attack his Baiter brother in arms, luckily it missed, but that wasn't what was important now. What was important was that Dal'Mori had the creature in his sights, and nothing would protect it now. He quickly turned towards the beastie, taking off after it like a rocket. Once he was within range he whipped his spear around, bringing it in as a low sweeping attack, aiming to take out the things legs. Regardless of a hit or miss, the would bring the swing all the way around, turning the momentum into a downward slam of the blunt end of his weapon aimed towards the beetle's head.

This was it. This was the end of its life. The Vault Buster had lived well, and killed many, serving the one it loved with all its heart for as long as it could. Unfortunately, trying wasn’t enough for it. Trying to beat the short human was a dumb idea, but it did it out of love. To protect the one that it loved with every fiber of its being. And yet… It had failed. It failed in its one duty to kill and maime, failed its obligation to love, and hurt. Clenching its teeth, it decided to try once more. It attempted to dodge the first attack that came its way, it tried to move out of the way in order to slide in an attack to the human who sought out the death of his one true love. But, alas, it failed in this as well. The blade dragged along the shoulders of the AI, making the creatures fall back ever so slightly. The next three attacks were dodged by the skin of the things teeth, but it already knew, before the last attack landed, that this was the end.
But it still wasn’t ready for when the blow connected. The sword flew up the middle of its face, successfully splitting the thing in two. And then it was over. All of its effort in vein, its tries all for naught… There was no reason for its being anymore… It could not protect the one it loved, so it died. Its eyes flicked to its love, it’s one and only, and it felt what would be akin to a tear slide from its eye. Was it crying? Were AI even able to cry? It knew it wanted to, in that moment, but it was unsure and frightened. Now…. What was stopping his dearest love from meeting the same fate? If she did, at least it could open its arms in the beyond and love her with all its heart.

Damn it! The other guy was dead. That meant they would focus on him. Damn it damn it damn it! And it wasn’t even able to get its attack in on the shorter human. All of its attacks missed, and it was getting frustrated. As it scampered, it attempted to get ahold of its surroundings as to make sure that it was doing what it needed to do. Now that one of its teammates was dead, what was it to do? Unfortunately, it caught the eye of the other baiter, the all one with the long hair, just as he noticed it. Jumping back, it then attempted to stay out of his line of sight. It didn’t want to be hit, and it didn’t want to get hurt. Unfortunately for it, the Baiter was much faster than it was. This resulted in the creature's legs being swept out from under it. Its body slammed against the ground and allowed for the baiter to ready another attack. Panicking, the thing took off as fast as it could. It did NOT want to be hit again! That was the last thing it wanted to do. The second attack just barely missed, allowing it to do as it needed to do.
In its panicked state, it attacked the shorter one with its needle like feet, making the attempt to pierce the person’s face. It then scampered off again, hoping to hide in its misery for a while, avoiding the fight all together.

Turn 4
This couldn't be. This was not happening. Her eyes must be deceiving her. They narrowed into slits, the green color that illuminated the whole of her body slowly bleeding red with her fury. They were ignoring her! They both, simultaneously, stopped paying attention to her! They both looked away, and started paying attention to the disgusting little worms that groveled at her strength.
She was the epitome of lust! They should be bowing at the ground she floating over! They should desire to give her everything! Nights of passion! Lavish gifts! The heads of her enemies! Whatever she may want or call for! They should do it without question! Her love slaves for eternity! And yet, here they were, both of them, paying attention to the creatures that made her sick to her stomach!
It was time to turn the charm all the way up. That was all there was too it. She took a few moments to allow herself to calm down, but the red did not go away, showing she wasn't completely calmed down. She didn't mind it too much, red was the color of passion, and passion was what she wanted. She took what could be considered a deep breath for her kind, and let loose an over exaggerated, exasperated sigh. "You silly boys. I should have known better, of course you'd prefer to play with your toys first." She said in as close to a sultry tone as her voice could manage, trying her best to just bring their attention to her with just her vocals.
She shook her head when she discovered that wouldn’t work, her gaze slipping to the small one. Despite the fact that the taller one was considerably more dangerous, he hadn't managed to do anything substantial. Whereas this absolutely stunning fellow had managed to rid her of one of those nasty little leeches. He would do nicely. "Now though, it's time to serious up. You will be mine. Come and play my lovely little toy!" She spoke in a teasing voice, spinning around in the air as if a full circle view would make her more appealing. Once more, she pushed her fingers to her lips, before pulling them away with the sound of a kiss following, and once more a little floating pair of lips, this time red, raced towards the adorably nerdy one.

Akio was juiced. The first enemy was down, and the two were ready to take on the final AI before the big guns. There was a small sense of sadness from the creature as he struck it down, but he still felt no remorse for the thing. It was an AI which was hell bent on destroying the world, and killing all that lives. When it finally formed its floating ball of code, bobbing slowly almost a foot off the ground, Akio turned to survey the other enemy. Dal’Mori seemed to already be on the case for this one, going after the Turbine Beetle before Akio could even offer a suggestion. It was awesome, actually. The man skillfully sliced through the creature, causing a significant amount of damage to be dealt to the thing. But as Dal’Mori’s second attack came through, the thing scampered away and launched itself at Akio in a panicked state.
Normally, Akio would be fine with being attacked. But in this instance, the creature was panicking, and had no idea what it was doing anymore. The idea that an AI could have an issue with being attacked, and even go into such a state, was actually rather amusing. For ages, AI’s were thought to be computer programs that were simply there to kill, and to take over. Clearly, they did have emotion. It was so strange! Akio brought up his sword to block the attack, knocking the thing back down to the ground with ease. It was so small, the motion barely took any effort at all. The creature took off again, its pointed feet scuttling around the floor as it took off again, hiding in the bush nearby, as it did.
When the Illusionist spoke, Akio turned to look at it and grimaced. Did this thing seriously still think it was attractive? The thing continuously ran its hands up and down its body, spinning to show off its back side. Really? It was kind of revolting, actually, to think that this bag of code thought that it was a sight to behold. “Why would I want to be yours…?” Akio asked, mumbling the words. If there was someone out there that could lure Akio into bed for the night, it certainly was not this thing. But then it kissed at him, and he knew what was to come next. It happened only a few moments before hand, when his once friend showed up to taunt him into acting. Perhaps this time, Akio would be able to resist?
The image of the Illusionist melted away as he watched, frowning already at what she was turning into. When the scene fully formed, it was like looking in a mirror. There were a few key differences, one being Akio’s slightly broader shoulders, the man before him having clean and unmarked skin, and shorter hair. The man before him wore a smug look on his face and his arms were crossed, barely wrinkling the perfectly pressed dress shirt he was wearing. “First, you kill your fiance. Then, you drop the one thing you were good at for liquor, hard drugs, and sex. You hand off your future to a child who’s still learning the inner workings of a computer, and you’ve still barely been able to do anything with your life since your first mistake.” Katsu smirked, holding eye contact, his voice holding a mocking tone as he spoke to his son. But then the smile dropped, and the look in his eyes were stern and unforgiving. “Then you OD, like the idiot you are, and come crying back to your parents because you’ve lost all ability to even care for yourself. Even now, you have to rely on your grandmother to make it through the day. Your mother had to bring your stuff down from the house.” Katsu shook his head slowly, a disappointed look on his face. “Useless. Absolutely worthless. I’m glad, actually that you quit the company. I wouldn’t have wanted an inept worker who can barely get himself out of bed in the morning.” The man scoffed, “Pathetic, really.”
The answer was no, Akio couldn’t resist the pull of the Illusionists taunt. If anything, this time it was more effective. The man’s lighting surrounding the sword went wild, sparking off the flora around him. ‘Akio, calm down, there’s no need to lose your head in this. It’s not real.’
Akio gritted his teeth, gripping the hilt of his sword and watching his father tease him as if the man had gone through no hardships in his entire life. Like the man didn’t have to fight to become the CEO of his own damn company. Which he didn’t! The damn company was handed off to him by his OWN father! Akio shot forward, ready to attack his own father in pure anger. He didn’t know what it was like… And he never really would. The strike would come as a downward slash, aiming to cut along the things chest. He was never going to actually fight his father, but releasing two years of pent up rage felt so wonderful.

Dal'Mori Cestrol Menne
Turn 4
There were a few things that were worth noting. The first, the Vault Buster was dead. There was an odd sort of pang in Dal'Mori's chest when he witnessed that moment, recalling the beastie that was what started him on the path towards the power he needed to rid the planet of these thrice cursed creatures. He didn't dwell on it long however, deciding it would be better not to entertain the idea he might feel sympathy for the disgusting beasties that destroyed his life, and like so many other things he pushed it down, locked away beneath the steel trap that was his mind.
The second thing worth noting was that while he had managed to land a blow on the creature, it was still fast enough to dodge his second attack. It was also panicking, which was something he was content to know. It was rather satisfying to know that what had once taken at least twenty of his villagers to kill was now scared of him enough to want to run away. This was not a feeling he repressed, and instead he basked in it. He was well on his way. What had once been a terrifying monster, was now nothing more than an annoyance. Progress was being made. Two sets of eyes flashed across his mind, and his vigor intensified. Yes, he may be making progress, but there were still those out there strong enough to give even the new him pause.
The final thing of note was the ridiculous amount of tension that entered into his combat brother's shoulders. Even now, with one down, and his attention shifted, they still focused on him. The Illusionist decided she wanted to stop him from being able to continue with his plan, perhaps because she realized he was the strategist here. While he hated the hideous creature, he could respect the choice. Remove the head of the snake, and the body rots. That aside, the effects of the accursed ability the thing could utilize seemed to have an even greater effect on Kawaguchi this time. Dal'Mori was pretty sure even the untrained eye could see that the man was currently neck deep in an ocean of anger, and seemed to have forgotten how to swim.
A weary sigh left the veteran warriors lips. It was a hard choice to make, but he knew it was the right one. For now, Kawaguchi would be fine. He needed to get rid of that last little b*****d, ensure that the number of attacks the shorter male needed to deal with was greatly reduced.
With that thought in mind, he turned his attention back to the rest of their current battleground, his eyes shifting slowly along the top of all the flowers, his head on a swivel. There! For seemingly no reason a bird took flight, and upon further examination there was some subtle movement of the flowers as the creature kept on the move. Still very aware of the ticking clock that was this very field, he took off with every intention of cutting this thing to ribbons.
Once more his body flowed forward like every single step was predestined, cutting through the very air like a hot knife through butter, his weapon starting to spin as he built its momentum. His eyes were locked onto the shifting flowers, and within just a few short moments he was upon the creature, his spinning weapon immediately brought forth, the blunt end first, in an attempt to push all the built up inertia into its much smaller frame. This was immediately followed by his body spinning with the strike, his hair whipping right over the creature as he did so, showing exactly how fast he was moving. Just as it seemed like he might try to keep spinning, his leg shot out like a snake, striking towards the disturbing looking creature's face.

Everything was going absolutely crazy. The Illusionist had continued her berrade on the shorter male, making sure that he was kept busy with her. The larger one, however, was still going after the small creature, attempting to strike it down. The thing was somewhat panicked, still scampering about in an attempt to avoid said attacks. Somehow, though the creature was unbelievably small, the damned warrior was still able to call exactly where it was. A spear like weapon flew through the tall grass, striking very close to the things head. Missed by less than an inch! The thing scampered away again, attempting to run circles around the guy. But the a*****e just kept spotting him! Thankfully, the creature was able to scamper away one more time, avoiding another attack like it was nothing.
Why it? Why would the warrior not attack the biggest and the strongest? The answer was easy, but it was pure selfishness that was driving its thought pattern. Its thoughts went back to the battle, wanting only to figure out a way to get out alive. Should it keep attacking the smart one? It seemed as though the Illusionist was just kept going for the shorter one. Ganging up on one man might be the best option. Or, rather, attacking the one that was being taunted. So the creature ran around the tall one, circling him as if trying to confuse him, then shot off pointed shots of sound to the shorter one before taking off again.

The lust rolled off her opponent in waves. Was apparent in every move he made. Was clearly written across his face. It sent shivers down the Illusionist's spine, delicious, pleasurable shivers. Apparently this time he was extraordinarily effected by her ability, because his whole body became wrapped in a tight cocoon of desire. Just like the last time he went under, he charged towards her amazing self. She couldn't blame him; she was the very definition of irresistible after all. As he neared, his body lit up with electricity, which both attractive as hell, and exotic. In fact, it was so alluring, that the Illusionist simply couldn't resist. As he came in for his attack, her arm whipped out and grabbed his wrist, stopping the attack dead in its tracks, while at the exact same time pulling herself in really close quite suddenly. So suddenly, in fact, that she was able to plant a kiss on the man's lips just barely an instant after she stopped his attack.
She pulled away and smiled a wonderful smile, so happy with what just happened she changed back to her normal green color, no longer upset with them for ignoring her. They would make wonderful slaves, fulfilling her every desire with ease, especially if that one little kiss was anything to go off of. His lips were so soft; they would be so good when put to... Other uses. Her gaze shifted slightly to watch the taller one work his magic with that stick of his. It caused her to bite her lip in appreciation. She loved someone who knew how to work their stick.
Turning her attention back to the first male, the one whose lips she just stole a kiss from. He was the one who made the new battle plan for these two, and was also the weaker of the two. It was something that became apparent as the seduction dance dragged on. He would be the one to take out first. Knock him out, and then she could focus her attention on the warrior Adonis.
For now, though, she would throw her effort behind bringing the shorter one to heel. It would do no good for her toys to not listen to her after all. As such, she put both of her arms out in front of her body, and a grin appeared on her face as a long whip appeared in a flash of green energy. She quickly swirled it around her body a few times, before lashing it forward towards the strategist’s feet, trying to trip him up. As she pulled it back, regardless of whether or not it landed, it cracked nice and loud, and was then followed by her snapping it forward again, this time aiming for the hand that held his weapon, attempting to get him to drop it.

All Akio could see was his father downing his efforts, There was no love in the man's eyes, only contempt and disappointment. It was his own feelings for what he had become, the man he downgraded into. It was what fueled his anger. It was fear for what could come next, fear that what he imagined his father said in this illusion to be true. The hatred for what happened because of it, and the hatred for what he had done. But that rage was what drove him forward, and what would make her a stronger Baiter. He knew what it was like being at the bottom. It wasn’t something that would happen again. So, he tempered the rage he had, directing it towards killing this creature, this one that had the audacity to keep taunting him with his fears and worries. Dal’Mori let Akio do what he needed to do, which he would be grateful for. Even still, he needed to vent his anger towards himself off, and fighting seemed to be the best way to do it.
However, what he was not expecting was ever being kissed full on the mouth my an AI. What in the actual hell was that? Not only did it successfully block the attack, but it used the forward momentum he had built up to pull him close and plant a kiss on his lips. She seemed to rather enjoy it, too, from the look on her face. Too bad Akio couldn’t be more upset by these turn of events. An AI? Kiss HIM? Ugh, that was absolutely vile. Not when there were much better things and people to kiss out there. The thing looked away for the briefest of moments, leaving a simple opening to catch her off guard, but Akio purposefully did not take it. As much as he hated to admit it, he almost felt sick to his stomach by being kissed to the thing, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand to get the feeling off.
It was only for a few mere seconds, and she was back at it with her attacks. This time, however, she brought out a goddamn wip. While it was a rather cool weapon, Akio couldn’t help but wonder what exactly she wanted to use it for with him. Sure, during the fight, the answer was a given. But what about after? The idea made him shudder. The Illusionist snapped her weapon forward, aiming at his feet to more than likely knock him off balance. Akio couldn’t let himself be knocked prone, so he skipped back, keeping an eye on the loud weapon, watching to see where it was exactly she was shooting it off at. The next attack actually came from the small creature that Dal’Mori was fighting.
A blast of sound came from the middle of the grass where he would have least expected it. Still, he managed to dodge it with a decent amount of speed only to be met with another attack from the Illusionist, who wanted Akio to drop his sword. Lucky for him, he was able to move just in time to avoid the blow to his wrist.
Everything was still ganging up on him, all attacking him to take him out first. While it wasn’t a bad strategy, he still didn’t much appreciate the idea.
His next idea came to him from a mix of spite and actual battle planning. One thing that would make the fight significantly easier was if that tiny twerp was gone. Dal’Mori was still going after the damned thing, so it was already in danger of being hurt and killed rather fast. Why not speed up the process? With a cheeky smirk, Akio gave the Illusionist a mocking salute and took off to attack the small Turbine Beetle. With a quick slash attack to where he saw it last, he hoped to take the thing out as fast as possible. Then, on to the big guns.

Dal'Mori Cestrol Menne
Turn 5
Though not an ideal tactic, panicking seemed to work very well for this annoying little creature. It just barely managed to dodge every attack that Dal'Mori sent his way, and kept scurrying about as though that might offer it some form of cover or defense. It was to no avail though, for the warrior's eyes never once left its form. Never strayed. Once they locked onto it, the only thing at this point that could tear them away is that awful ability of the Illusionist.
Speaking of, he kept his peripheral on said beastie, and couldn't believe the sheer audacity of the creature. She had actually forced herself upon his partner. One part of Dal'Mori wanted to laugh, because let’s face it, how often do you see something that truly outlandish? Another part of him noticed that even now, the remaining enemies focused all of their attention on Kawaguchi. This caused him yet another moment of distress. He could understand the practicality behind the chosen course they were taking, but at the same time, he did not like the fact that he was literally the only one who had not been attacked as of yet.
He didn't count that stupid ability the Illusionist had as an attack.
He shook his head from these thoughts, and returned his full focus to the fight at hand. It would do no good for them to suddenly shift focus while he was wishing they would, they could easily catch him off guard in that case. He noticed that his comrade had his wits about him again, but there was a notable weight on his shoulders, as though this fight held more meaning than just an average battle. As he was noticing that, he noticed that things in his mind were starting to get slightly foggy, not on a large enough scale to really affect him, but clearly all this movement was kicking up enough of the pollen that his earlier estimates were way off. It was imperative they finish this fight now before they start attacking, or getting attack by opponents that weren't there.
With a renewed enthusiasm, he continued to dart after the rather annoying beetle, intent on taking it out so that if the pattern continued, at least Kawaguchi was only being attacked by one enemy, and not two. Apparently, his partner decided to continue the plan he came up with earlier, and shifted his focus to the turbine beetle as well. Good. This would mean it would go down faster. Quickly working around the newest addition, Dal'Mori moved closer to Kawaguchi, standing behind him in fact. What he did then was he thrust his spear out on one side of his ally, before moving around Kawaguchi as if he stood still, and thrusting the blunt end towards the beastie on the other side. The idea was to put off a united front, while simultaneously cutting off as many escape routes as possible, giving Kawaguchi the highest chance to hit the creature. Think about it, how scary would it look to see a guy emitting lightning like the sky itself coming right at you, while the hardened, terrifying visage of a practiced warrior suddenly popped out on either side of him in what could easily be described as the blink of an eye?

Simply put, the Turbine Beetle was not ready for the onslaught of weapons that would come its way. First, the shorter male started to attack it, all engulfed in electricity like a goddamn lightningrod. Pain shot through the creature before it was able to register the movement. Then, much to its dismay, like a tiger emerging from the shadows, the tall one spun out from behind the electric one to take a jab at it with his spear. Or of sheer fright, the thing stepped back which, in hindsight, probably saved its life, as it caused the trained warrior to miss in his attack. But while the Turbine beetle wanted so desperately to rejoice that it wasn’t hit, another attack came out of nowhere. The Creature was now close to death, and it knew it. It had a very little chance of surviving this encounter, and that fact scared the tiny thing. It scampered away, trying to hide in the bushes once more. It didn’t want to be hit… It didn’t want to die. It wanted to finish out this battle with a chance to do something with its life.
It was so scared! But, it still had a job to do, still had to try and kill at least one of them. Since the Illusionist was going to continue focusing on the short one, the Turbine Beetle had to follow in those footsteps. That was only logical, right? It was starting to doubt, though. Doubt that it was the best strategy to take out the smart one. But it couldn’t question her logic, she was the smart one, after all. So the thing scampered off once again, trying it’s best to lose track of the warrior. The thing ran around in a large circle, banking around to line itself up with another attack, then shot another blast of sound towards the short one. It was a last ditch attack, in an effort to finally be able to do some damage with its last breath.

Turn 6
As her whip cracked forward to attack the man, she knew it was futile. For some reason, they were just not cooperating. Did they not see how glorious she was? Did they not know how amazing she looked? She might as well have been Aphrodite herself reborn! Yet these people did not allow themselves to be subject to her whims? Yet another crack from her whip was dodged, and these thoughts intensified.
She was a goddess! Beauty incarnate! She took a deep breath to keep herself calm. There was no reason to fly off the handle again. It was time to take control of things. Assess the situation. Be smart. Something she often times found hard to do, with how vapid she could be, but it was something she had to do all the same. She forced her attention away from the fact that a three-way with these two would probably be the most amazing experience of her life, and focused on what was happening.
Once more they were not paying attention to her. Once more they were paying all their attention to that little cowardly scrub. It was irritating! How could they find it more appealing than her beautiful self? Wait. No. Not that line of thought. She thought about it for a moment, and realized this actually presented her with an opportunity. If they spent so much time paying attention to that little thing, she could weaken them enough to drag them off and turn them into her slaves! It was a perfect plan!
It was time to change tactics.
She placed both of her hands in front of her, and concentrated, using the Turbine Beetle as a distraction. If they killed the stupid little b*****d, it would be no big deal, she could always use her beauty to accumulate more little followers. Plus, with these two at her side, at her beck and call, she would never want for assistance. She closed her eyes and concentrated, pulling forth large quantities of the energy that resided within her, and forcing them towards her hands. Coming forth like a maelstrom of movement, the energy swirled around her arms, coalescing into two large, glowing green orbs. More and more energy poured into them, until they were almost blinding in brightness, bathing the world around her in the color green.
Slowly she compressed them, forcing the energy into smaller and smaller forms until they went from the size of basketballs to the size of golf balls. Once she felt they were completely finished, and stable, she reopened her eyes, narrowing her gaze at her target. At this point, it would just be silly to stop attacking the cute short one, he had to be getting worn down by the number of attacks they were sending his way, so this should work out rather well.
She pulled back her arm, and without warning threw forth the small golf ball sized orb in her arm, aiming for the ground at the one with the amazing hair's feet, long hair was nice, but not her style. The smart one's hair was both just the right length, and styled beautifully. She really hoped this attack didn't ruin it. If it did, well, he could always grow it back right? Anyway, as the orb was let loose, it flew towards the ground at the Baiter's feet, and upon contact exploded violently, covering around five meters in diameter. She payed extra amounts of attention to him this time though, cause the second he dodged or was sent flying, she would throw the second orb right at where he would land, attempting to catch him in another explosion exactly like the first.

Oh, this fight was turning for the absolute best. When Akio came out and attacked, he managed to slice through the thing, almost as if it were butter. The lighting flashed through him, shocking the little thing, causing plenty of damage even before the sword itself cut through. Really, the one attack was rather impressive. Then, like the absolute beast he is, Dal’Mori zoomed out from behind Akio to make his own attack. He was graceful and stunning, stunning enough to get at least one hit on the creature before they parted ways. The move must have been absolutely fantastic from any other perspective. The thing even looked as if it were close to death, which was absolutely wonderful news. Unfortunately, his scanning glasses were currently turned off, and it would be a bad idea to turn them on mid battle, so the man was running somewhat blind.
In retaliation, the small creature tried to scamper away, shooting off more shots towards Akio. Clicking his tongue, Akio shot to the side, narrowly avoiding the explosion at his feet. Really, what happened was that he got lucky. He narrowly was able to roll out of the way of the blast, only to be assaulted by another. The explosions weren’t small and harmless, either. The radius of the blasts was at least five meters, and released a rather strong blast. If he were hit with either, he may have just been done for. He could feel the blasted air rush past him, blowing his hair ever so slightly in the dying breeze. He cut it almost too close on that attack.
Still, he couldn’t help but feel like things were really going their way. The thing they were fighting was almost dead, for christ's sake! He glanced over to the Illusionist, then back at the Turbine Beetle, wheels turning in his head. Already, he was breathing somewhat heavier than before, and so was Dal’Mori, no doubt. The more they inhaled the toxins, the faster it would move through their bloodstream to affect them. Gritting his teeth, he moved through the calculations. With their rapid heart rate and breathing, it was likely that the time the pollen would take to affect theme would be reduced to, maybe, fifteen minutes. Damn it…
Akio glanced at Dal’Mori, wondering if he was worried just as much as he was. He decided it might be best to speed things along. Backing up to where Dal’Mori was he spoke in a hushed tone so that only he would hear. “We need to speed this along. We have less than fifteen minutes.” Whatever the man would answer, Akio would then take off to the weaker opponent. It was the best idea they had, taking out the small fries before the big bad Illusionist. Plus, the Turbine Beetle was already on its way out the door, leaving them to focus so easily on the big one.
In a flash, the man made his attack, once again trailing a small amount of lightning in his wake. His sword flashed in an attack, striking in one beautiful fluid motion down and hopefully making contact along the chest area of the beetle.

Dal'Mori Cestrol Menne
Turn 6
It was perfect. Well, nearly perfect, but that was the battlefield for you, nothing ever really went to plan. It was impromptu, and it was basic, but it was perfect for what it was. Not only had they played off each other well, but it had worked! They had both landed a hit! Granted, it was on the weaker of the two creatures, but that aside, it was proving to be enough of a headache for that fact to be set aside.
Despite the two landed hits, the damn thing was still kicking. His eyes stayed locked on it as it scurried away like a filthy rat, once more preparing himself to jump at it and attempt to end its horrible little life. Following Kawaguchi, the second the faster man took off, Dal'Mori too was saved from the explosion. However, the incoming second had him rolling to the side just to be on the cautious end of things, you don't live very long in this life by not taking precautionary measures. However, his eyes immediately sought out his partner, uncaring if he loses the little beetle b*****d, he needed to make sure his partner was safe.
Unlike with Faelan, who seemed not only completely capable of handling themselves, but completely comfortable doing it, Kawaguchi seems rather novice, and in that regard Dal'Mori felt a certain level of responsibility to ensure the other was brought home safely. Upon noting that not only was his partner not down and out, he was up and ready, the warrior relaxed and turned his attention back to looking for the little beastie that had slipped his attention for a moment. As he did that, apparently Kawaguchi shared his earlier thoughts, but he understood things like this more than the warrior did, and was able to give them a definitive time period.
15 minutes.
That wasn't very long before it would start getting bad.
Well, nothing to do but end it quickly right? Kawaguchi took off, in a direction that didn't lead towards the Illusionist, leading Dal'Mori to believe he had sights on the A.I. beastie. This was good. Without question, the warrior fell in line behind Kawaguchi. He might have lost his position as vanguard, but he would be damned if he failed at being the support. As the other male lunged forward for an attack, his body curling down from the swing of his sword, the spear wielder wasted no time and rolled over Akio's shoulder, before bringing his weapon down in a heavy downward blow. From there, he would pull that end of his weapon up, and stab forward with the other, attempting to impale the creature on the sharp end of the weapon.
