Kelly shifted around and tried to avoid another strike, glancing to her allies and hoping to see them still standing. She made sure to keep her candle from being fully extinguished as she avoided the lumbering strikes of the undead.

Anya ducked backwards and threw her knife at the thing and got a glorious eye shot. She gave a half smile and waited for it to dissolve before going and picking up her knife.

"You shou'd cah out... Ah-most stabbed you." She mumbled slowly though her aching jaw to the stranger guy who'd come to help.

Austin, for his part, just blinked back at the girl -- lowering his hand, shooting her sad little knife a brief look, and then shrugging. Maybe she was willing to endure excruciating pain for the sake of speaking, but at some point, he'd decided it just wasn't worth the effort.

Instead, mutely, he offered a hand to first one and then the other, smiling roughly. His mouth was a bit swollen, tender: it made the expression a little bit crooked.

Kelly fell back with huff, blowing out the candle and waving it to cool. She eyed the creature before them and shook her head a bit. She saw the boy, giving his hand, and she too took it with a small smile.

She then turned back to the beast, and ripped it's arm off with a sickening crunch.

"No choice really, mission stated I needed proof..." She grumbled a bit, and felt awkward holding the item out before her.

"Name is Kelly, by the way. Thanks for your help." She said back to the muted boy. All she had was a fuzzy head, both of her companions seemed much worse for ware.

Anya was willing to risk pain to talk.... she just had to say it slowly and rest often. She did accept his handshake though and tell him her name.. so that he'd know who she was.

"Anya." She said and pointed at herself before looking at Kelly. "More by towe' if you nee' to figh'... " Clearing the area would be good.... though she wasn't sure she wanted to fight more. But since there was finally allies about.. perhaps she could risk it?
