[9/26]Candice had never been very interested in pursuing a medical career, she was always worried the pressure would kill her. What if she made a mistake and she killed someone? The mistakes had too many consequences. She was drawn in by the idea of helping people but couldn't bring herself to try. Now she found the medical ward oddly comforting. She would quietly stock the rooms and prep them for use. Of course she wasn't dealing with people or an emergency, which would probably send her into panic, but the background work was comforting. Actually, when she thought about the whole outbreak being caused by a virus, and apparently the vines that perpetuated it, the medical ward seemed the worst place to be. [9/26]Candice found her way back to the supply storage, took one look at the mess and shook her head. She was now stuck on the thorny vines and it was creeping her out. She didn't want to linger down here and keep up those thoughts. Stocking the room didn't require enough brain power to stop them. She'd just do it another day and find something to do that required more mental focus. She dully picked up a few supplies that were in the way and potentially a hazard but did no more. [9/27]Candice found her way back down to the medical supply room, running on automatic now. She had done this so many times now she hardly had to think. As soon as she received the request for an item she'd run down, rummage through everything and stock it. It was simple really. She wasn't sure yet if she'd be in the mood for reorganizing the constantly disheveled room. She could worry about it later. She'd clean up after herself bare minimum. Candice figured the small tubes would be difficult to find without a full crate sweep so she made herself comfortable and sifted through most of it. At the halfway point she felt she was just wasting time. She had located two and felt she could run those up. Checking all the crates might not even net her anymore. [9/27]Candice avoided the noisy part of the medical ward, sticking strictly to the unoccupied rooms, just as she normally did. She was not in any way knowledgeable about medicine, sans anything picked up in her officer training, which wasn't a whole lot. She felt that she better not get in the way of anyone. Finding empty rooms wasn't hard and the small bags of catheters, the tubing light, were not hard to place away into the cabinets. They were lucky to have a medical facility, she imagined that the other factions were lacking them. Of course it was also in a prison, with prisoners. Not very hardened criminals, but they were here just the same. They were lucky, damn lucky, that there weren't more problems when they let the inmates out with the other population, which was significantly smaller. Good the warden still kept his power. Candice had slowed in her work as contemplated things, but she should try and hurry to tackle the supply room again. She doubled timed it and headed down. Quote: Pass, 1 Bar gained 174 words

[9/27]Mostly, she had cleaned up after today's mess. Not that it mattered all that much because to really organize it you had to take everything out of the crates anyways. This way she was at least covered if she didn't feel like putting in a couple hours arranging it all for easier retrieval. The more she stared at it, the more she didn't want to sit around correcting it all. If she could find supplies in all the mess than surely others could. Did it really matter in the end anyways. She had to stop herself from thinking down that line, too easy to spiral out of control. She only felt slightly bad at not fixing the storage room as she left.
