Finally, finally she found some bandages. Three boxes full, at the back of the room and well-hidden under a boatload of other boxes. Sylvi took a moment to celebrate her findings before starting to relocate boxes, drawing the ones with bandages further out so they'd be easier to find next time someone went look for them.
One of them she grabbed for herself, intent on stocking up the supply closet. Hopefully it was in better order than last time she'd done so, because she wasn't quite sure she had the energy to re-organize everything once again. Surely people here knew how to keep order in things - right? The mess of last time would've had to be an uncommon occurrence.

No such luck. Once again, the supply closet was an absolute mess - the blonde groaned out loud as she opened the door, only for half the contents to topple out onto the floor. For ******** sake, was it so hard to keep order?
Apparently, yes. Slowly she started filling in the fresh bandages, determined that at least she'd do her part properly, if a bit woozily. Maybe she'd go have a quick lie-down after this; half an hour should be alright, surely. She'd go see where else she could pitch in afterwards.
As long as it wasn't battling the undead.

But she couldn't leave the supply closet the way she'd found it; the mess was absolutely atrocious. With a sigh, Sylvi started putting things back in place, cursing her own conscience. There wasn't quite the attention to detail as she'd put into it the last time, and as a result the mess just seemed to multiply.
Ah ******** it, she'd just shove the last stuff back in and let someone else sort it. Surely there were people looking after this other than her, even if they were doing a horrendous job of it. Not like she was much better at the moment though, but at least she'd gotten the bandages stocked up. That had to count for something.

As a recruit, your job is to do all of the jobs other people don't want to. These may be boring, or dirty, or just plain ridiculous. For those interested in gaining Cred with the medical section of the prison, your job is to keep the medbay stocked and organized. This is a tedious, and thankless job.
Step One:Opening Supply Boxes All supply boxes are unmarked and in no order. It's your job to open them, and find the supply you were assigned to stock and organize. Good luck - it's a complete mess in the main supply room.
-Roll 20d10 -The first dice decides what you've been assigned to. See the list below. All other dice are your attempts at finding it. You need to find at least one box to continue. If you do not match your first number with any of your other dice, you must continue to roll 20d10s until you do. Each time you must roll to search must have at least 100 word count. Feel free to match to the list of what you did find as flavor texts for your posts. -You receive 1 bar for attempting this, pass or fail. If you do not pass, you cannot continue on to step 2, and leave with only the 1 bar.
1. List of Supplies: 2. Bandages 3. Syringes 4. Exam Gloves 5. Bedpans 6. Catheters 7. First Aid Kits 8. Disposable exam drape sheets 9. Surgical Scissors 10. Thermometers
Example: I roll 20d10. I get: 5, 6, 8, 10, 5, 8, 5, 7, 6, 5, 2, 5, 3, 8, 5, 4, 4, 2, 4, 1. That first dice is a 5. This means I am in charge of finding bedpans. I now have 19 other chances to find boxes of bedpans, and lo and behold, I found five of them! I take those back to the medbay with me, victorious.
Step Two:Stocking Up -This is the easy step. Roleplay in a separate post, your character stocking the medbay with the item you've been assigned to. They may go in the supply closet, or in the case of drape sheets, be put directly on the exam tables. -This post must be separate, and 100 word count minimum. -You gain 1 bar for this step, and it is mandatory to move on to the next step.
Step Three:Organizing The supply closet is a complete mess. You can't just leave it the way you found it. -Roll 2d6. The total of your roll must be between 7 and 12 in order to have completed this task. This post has a minimum word count of 100. You receive 1 bar for attempting it, pass or fail.
Rewards: In addition to the rewards already listed, if you are successful at all three steps, you are awarded an extra 3 bars. You also receive 25% Medical Cred. If you failed at step three, you only receive 10% Medical Cred. Please keep track of your Cred in your journal! You will need it in order to complete Officer level quests!
Stocking medical supplies was always a good fallback if she had nothing else to do for the moment; so, once again, Sylvi found herself back at the medbay, looking for supplies.
This time the aim was syringes and she went to work straight away, opening boxes and yet again bemoaning the disorder of the supply room. Every time she did this she thought about coming back later and organizing things, and every time she never quite did so.
Of course, considering the state of the supply closet, organizing the supply room was likely going to be a moot point anyway. It'd probably find itself back in disarray in no time at all; at least, that was how things seemed to go here in the medbay, in her experience.
Not that she had much, if any, experience with the medbay outside of stocking things up. She knew some simple first aid, but that was from the time before, not something learned here at the prison.
Maybe once she'd risen in the ranks some they'd teach her some helpful things but for now, the most helpful thing she could do was help out with supplies.
Which thankfully wasn't hard this time, as she quickly found the needed syringes.

Stocking the supply closet would have bee entirely mindless work, if it hadn't been for the complete mess of it. Sighing impatiently at the disarray that greeted her when she opened the door, Sylvi shook her head before getting started. Really, it'd help a lot if people could just put things where the label said they should be, but apparently that was too much to ask for.
Giving the bandages stuffed into the syringe's spot a grumpy glare, she started moving the random things from the syringe shelf down to the floor so she could put actual syringes in there.

Finally, done with stocking up she sat back and considered the supply closet. Was it worth it trying to re-organize it? The syringes were in order now, but everything else... Sylvi sighed, giving up. Might as well give it a go.
She started emptying out shelves, putting things in neat piles on the floor before then putting it back in its proper spot. It was a bit baffling how badly kept the supply closet was; surely at least one of the people who used it regularly could see the point in keeping it tidy - other than her.
But it probably took more than just one person to keep it orderly - everyone needed to be on the same page for something like this, or one person could muck it up for everyone else. She almost wished she had the authority to put notes to keep it neat, but that might be just a tad above her station. The only function she served here was stocking and organizing, after all.
She'd tried her best with tidying the supply closet, but in the end, the result fell just a tad short of her expectations. Not that it mattered - no matter the result, it'd probably be just as untidy the next time she came.

Once again she was back to stock up in the medical wing; it was becoming rather par for the course, but she wasn't about to slack off just because of that. Sylvi was the kind of person who, once having determined that she wanted to do something, followed it through to the end.
Even if it meant endless rummaging through boxes and forever re-organizing the supply closet. She was beginning to have a bit of a grudge towards the medbay personnel for their complete lack of ability to keep anything neat. Supply room, supply closet... hopefully their organization with patients was better than this.
Perhaps she'd find out one day; she was steadily amassing cred in the medbay, even if it was slow going mostly. She was saving up bars as well, determined to rise in the ranks so she could get to better (and hopefully less mind-numbing) tasks.
Today she was after catheters and luckily for her peace of mind, she found them quickly.

Stocking up was the same each time; as always, someone had messed up the placement of supplies in the closet and once again she had to move random things from the spot she needed.
It was quick work, quicker for each time she did it, as she got used to re-organizing things to make it easier for herself. Tedious, but at this point she could probably do it with her eyes closed - at least if she ever got to work in the medbay, she'd be able to practice some of that tidiness that she was beginning to appreciate so much.

Lastly came organizing the supply closet to a manageable state; probably the most tedious task of them all. Not that anyone had told her to do it, but it seemed the proper thing to do. Maybe that was just the itch in her fingers from seeing all that mess talking, though.
Besides, it felt nice to be able to make something right again, even if it was something as small as a supply closet (and she usually fell just short of the mark). It felt nice trying though, seeing some immediate reward for her effort, even if it never quite lived up to how neat she thought the supply closet actually ought to be.
And not to mention, it usually found itself in disorder before her next time stocking up.
Sylvi wasn't a quitter though, so she gave tidying the supply closet a go. There was some improvement but, well, perhaps not quite enough.

A lot of things had happened since she'd last stocked up on medical supplies; the Casino, getting lost in the fog and almost going mad at the old hospital.
All of it seemed so unreal when she thought about it, but it was real - she could still remember the feel of the collar at the Casino, the moment she'd realised just what they'd been doing with their prisoners... Getting lost in the fog and hearing voices, seeing people out of the corner of her eye, only to turn and find them gone. Touching the flower and seeing the vision of the greenhouse on top of the skyscraper, fighting a ton of enemies along with other people from the Prison at the campfire.
Waking up and having no clue what the hell was going on.
Lastly had been the creature that'd spawned at the Prison though - a seed first, and she'd done her best to kill it but hadn't succeeded, only to watch others take over and then as the thing evolved into something else.
And then something else again when they'd driven away the new form. They'd gotten it in the end though, she was confident.
Lost in thought, it didn't feel like it took her long at all to find the catheters she needed.

She started stocking up, mind still lost in thoughts; it'd been great to see the Prison come together to fight the latest creature, defeating it together as a faction. It made her feel proud, happy to be a part of this - she'd felt that way during the earlier events as well, when the Boss had slipped her the casino coins she needed to buy herself free and when she'd talked to the other people from Prison.
And then later, when they'd defeated all those shadow-like imitation creatures at the survivor's campfire. They'd really teamed up to take the enemy down and she was quite proud of her efforts then.
And of course then there was saving the Boss from whatever the hell had been going on with him; she was still happy that they'd managed to do that - she wasn't quite sure how the hell this place was going to hold together without him there.
Finally done stocking up, she moved on to the next bit.

This bit wasn't official of course, but she still liked to at least give organizing the supply closet a try.
Usually it failed. One time she'd really done well and then after that... the less said of her results, the better.
Sylvi had the feeling it was going to be one of those times again; today, her mind wasn't quite on the task, which had been fine up until now, but organizing actually required some thought that stocking up didn't.
Still, never let it be said that she didn't at least give it a whirl.
Carefully she started moving items around, trying to go by the labels on the shelves as much as possible. It... wasn't going well. For every time she thought she'd made some headway, a new mess would present itself and in the end she just gave up.
