I hate Hayate...becuase Ayane has a thing for him and I like Ayane.
You do know that Hayate is Ayane's half-brother. There's no "thing" going on there, just a sister looking out for her brother and leader.
As for the characters I hate (I say I hate them, but it's just more that they annoy me...)
Jahn Lee is far too over-powered. Any idiot can play Jahn Lee and be awesome.
Bass is kind of annoying like that too because you can use one button and win if you have good timing.
Helena is just an annoyance too. I love opera, and I think it is amazing that they put that into the game (kind of) but there's just something about her that really annoys me.
Christie is kind of like Helena. She's just annoying, I don't even know why. I even use her fighting style a little in real-life, but she's just bothersome.
And Zack... ugh... I mean basing a fighting game character off of Dennis Rodman is good for a joke, but he has moves that are very difficult to counter. He breaks the mold on a few attacks.
In DOAX my friend and I realized that Lei Fang is just a rag doll. Ayane ahs that problem too. For some reason those two just can't stay on their feet. (and I don't even use heavy hitters like Hitomi or Tina. Kasumi is my main character and I knock them down everytime I spike! Something is seriously wrong there. You would think a ninja would be able to stay on her feet if a volleyball hit her.)
So that's all there. The only character I can really say i dislike is Jahn Lee because he is just a very uninteresting character. Too powerful to make the game a challenge, no fun story elements, and an annoying watta! to go with every combo.
