Raccoon turned his head quickly when Kuzma grabbed his hand. His instinct was to pull away, but when he spoke he blinked and squashed his first reaction. "Thanks." He smiled brightly. He was very glad he wasn't doing this alone. Chasing some phantom creature and a glowing key... in a strange, dark land. It made his anxiety spike just thinking about doing this without a friendly face. Especially since his little guide had seemingly poofed into the bushes and was doing who knows what! He looked back towards fading glow. "I think it went this way, through these bushes." His eyebrows pinched in concentration. "They seem thick, watch your step ok?" He glanced back at him. "I don't think you want me to try and carry you if you twist your ankle." He tried to joke, though it felt a bit weak, unfamiliar.
A ghostly head popped up, the little raccoon just ahead of them. "I got my eyes on the little fuzzy rat, come on!" He urged, disappearing into the bushes, causing them to shake and wiggle along behind him.
Raccoon blinked and let out a small giggle. "It's a squirrel, my friend! Not a rat." He glanced back at Kuzma. "Sorry about him." he said, smiling lightly.

Kuzma couldn't help but smile in return at seeing Raccoon smile at him. It was nice to know the other was easing up a bit and trusting him. The ringmaster would have to be sure not to betray that trust. Something told him it would be foolish to do so. "Oh, I've lept through flaming hoops. I think this is a walk in the park by comparison~ But I will heed your warning." He winked at Raccoon before feeling a twitch of a brow at the ghostly familiar. "...Rat..." He grumbled as if insulted but soon laughed, waving a hand. "It is fine~ Let us go play a game of cat and mouse, hm?" He smirked and guided Raccoon through the bushes, following the dim glow of the other's familiar. "Slow down, will you?" He called out to it.

"Flaming hoops?!" Raccoon gasped, eyes wide. "But that is dangerous!" His tone was almost chiding. He couldn't imagine doing anything even half that reckless. "Now I am sure I will have to keep an eye on you." He smiled. He blinked a moment and looked around. "Ah... do you see them anymore?" He asked suddenly. The faded glow of the two had seemed to disappear into the black bushes. "Oh no... I think we lost them..." he sighed softly.
