"Uncomfortable? No no no, Not at all. Disappointed that you're not single, maybe, but Uncomfortable? Honestly, I haven't been so truly entertained and cozy in a few days. It's wonderful, really!" Something told Anxo that this man had countless stories to tell, but this just didn't seem like the time. He was still so red! How could he prod him more without having him split like a microwaved tomato?!
"I see nothing wrong with how you acted. In my opinion, from what little I've seen, you're doing quite well as a role model. I'm sure everything will be just fine." The temptation to reach out and pat the man on the shoulder in comfort was there but that seemed rather sketch. Customer reaching over the counter.. They weren't quite friends yet..
"As for the cookies... How about this? Instead of honoring the coupon for me, I'll buy the one cookie, and the dozen free can go to your next customers. One cookie for the next twelve people who walk through here. You can make someone else's day that way! And It might bring back more customers if they start to think you have fancy specials like that."

Arias had glance over and smiled when he was reassured at his role model status, and seemed even more relaxed the more the male spoke.
"You seem like a generous soul," he laughed softly, and finally nodded. "All right, I can do that. But I can't just let you leave so empty handed after this whole ordeal. I'm not aching for the money, so why don't you pick a few things out--cookies, muffins, cupcakes--whatever you want. If you don't pick them out, I'll just load you up with an assortment. You're not leaving here with anything less than a dozen of something. It's the least I can do after this whole affair."
He smiled still, and even if his cheeks were still tinted red, he seemed to be relaxing quickly. "If I'm lucky, you'll find something you really love and you'll have to keep coming back," he laughed.

"A generous soul you say? Hehe..I get that sometimes. More often than you think." He wanted to give all he could to everyone. He wanted to spread his love around like jam on toast. He wanted to give as many people as he could a form of warmth and comfort that he always loved so much himself. It wasn't wrong to do that, right? Even if it was just a brief moment of happiness he'd willingly give it as earnestly as he could!
"I think, for now.. I'll take three more of those delicious croissants. And.. If you're REALLY insistent about it, you could always leave a note for your staff that If I ever stumble in here half asleep in the morning before school I could get a Blueberry Bagel with Strawberry cream cheese and a small coffee with like, 90% cream and sugar to go. That would be amazing!" His eyes did do another quick scan of the shelves of sweets and he could feel his mouth just watering quicker and quicker. Of course, there wasn't anything sweeter in here than the young man who stood before him.
"I think you've given me enough to love already. I'll just have to keep coming back to see you!"

Arias laughed at his last words and shook his head, still seeming embarrassed. To distract himself, he bustled around and prepared three croissants, packaging them up in a little box before sliding them over. "If you're here in the morning, I'll be here. And I'll remember that order. You get home safely, all right? Try not to get too wet. —And don't get sick, all right!" And for all the shyness or awkwardness Arias had displayed tonight, he seemed genuine in his concern--even if a little down time to work out his embarrassment sounded good, too.

While Arias was packaging up the sweets, Anxo began tucking his hair into the back of his hoodie, before pulling it back up over the top of his head. That was always the trouble of having such long hair; he had to encounter hell and a half in order to even function in the rain or snow.
The box was picked up and held very carefully so as to not disturb their glorious sweet delicious glaze, and a last smile was offered to Arias
"Until Next time, Arias. And I'll be sure to drink an extra cup of orange juice when I get home! Tell your little sister I said goodbye, and thanks for the coupon! I made a great friend out of it!"
He then turned with one last wave with his coffee hand before heading to the door, back into the rain that seemed to have let up a bit. All in all, it seemed way too sad to be leaving, but Anxo was sure that if he were to leave any later, that grumpy old lady would be howling at him for 'storming' up the stairs. Maybe she'd be a little nicer if he offered her a sweet. Hell he could offer the whole box as a peace offering. Yeah, that's what he'd do. If she said yes, then maybe they could actually be friends. That would be nice.. If she refused, well, still yay! Sweets to himself!
