Wrathful Demigod

PostPosted: Wed Aug 26, 2015 8:22 pm

Coming up with a mans to hide her uniform had come as something of a challeneg to general Xenotime it had involved using what was already there, masking the rest, and all out hiding what would otherwise be considered a red flag for anyone among the crowd that might have been white moon soldier. In the end she had added a long slip of a shirt to cover the corset, and paired that with a hoodie with a generous hood that would keep her face well hidden from anyone that did not work to peer into the shadows within. The leggings, actually, were acceptable enough, but she'd swapped the usual wedge heeled boots for something flatter and more casual.

Her role, once having arrived, was that of a sullen, unfriendly teen, and it hadn't been much of a stretch to pull it off. After meeting Umber, the general had taken up post leaning against the wall near the office. There were a pair of earbuds in her ears, long cord disappearing into her pockets, but no music was current;y playing, despite the rhythmic bob of her head. A casual act to hide the keen eyes sweeping the platform, and the straining senses.

At the moment, with there being no signs of trouble, the general was making something of a game out of picking out those among the crowd that belonged to the Negaverse. It was easier with some than it was with others. It wasn't a very fair game, though. Not when the girl could sense the auras around her. This close, they shown like beacons in the gloom.

Head rolling against the wall, she turned her attention away from a man with a guitar(fellow agent, a general), and out into the crowd at large, watching the people milling about as they waited for their train. Things were not, as of yet, terribly exciting, but she supposed that meant the mission was running smoothly. Good for the Negavers. Good for her captain. Not good for the general that thrived on chaos and mayhem.

She gave a soft sigh and pulled her gaze from a smiling couple, searching instead for Umber.

Aurora Namid was excited. Like SO excited that her fingers were tapping impatiently on her purse, occasionally pushing up onto her tiptoes so that she could peek over the small crowd and check if her train was there yet. Usually she wouldn't be caught dead in the icky subway, but when she'd learned about the bridal expo a town away the bride to be had made an exception. But gosh it was so hot and crowded and dirty. Maybe she would more seriously rethink Azzo's suggestion that they buy a car.

Even her less than stellar surroundings could not contain her joy or excitement however, a smile plastered to her face. In about an hour she'd be surrounded in a convention center just full of everything wedding! Flowers, bakeries, dresses, make up artists, photographers. All with tons of ideas for her and all vying for her attention and business. She could almost squeal with delight, which was exactly why she'd left Azzo at home, not intent on overloading him with wedding details a full 4 months early.

Aitana Meu Catos yawned as she pushed her way through the turn styles, still fairly wiped out from a morning of work directly following a night of youma hunting. It sucked to waste a day she could be napping through and her irritation could be easily read on her face. But unfortunately she had something stupid to do that had to do with her immigration papers. And some capital building?

Glancing down at the scribbled on piece of paper in her hand she made her way lazily through the crowd. She wasn't in any big hurry, as long as it was done by the end of the day.

The Brazilian was not a stranger to subways and trains, having rode on this one a small handful of times. As such she wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to the trains themselves, instead simply looking with a bored expression at some of the people in the crowd.

Out of all the people here trying to hide what they were, hands down the most effective at it was Cinnabar. It was kind of hard to pit cloth and makeup against glamor and come out on top.

At six foot one, Cin topped out most of the people on the platform, giving her a better view of the crowd and the agents wandering among the people, or trying to look inconspicuous in out of the way places. It made her smile, watching them with her hands shoved deep into the pockets of her tight, holes-in-the-knees jeans. They were so transparent, if you were at all looking. Too many layers for the weather, too much careful acting like they were doing nothing important.

But then, maybe she just knew what to look for.

Black ankle boots scuffed the dirty tile as she paced down the length of the platform, long dark hair sweeping around her hips. Every minute that ticked away ate at the integrity of her disguise, but there was no telling how long this mission was going to last. If time ran out, she'd have to retire somewhere to wait out the rest of the time, see if she could get someone to call her when she was needed. That was the only downside to this... that ******** time limit. There had to be a way around that... something that could be done to extend it. Cin's thoughts drifted to caramel-tipped dreads and dark, dark eyes and she forced it back again to the mission at hand.

Her distraction brought her too close to one of the passengers waiting for the train, not one of their agents, and one well-muscled arm checked another, sending her side-stepping automatically in reaction. Red eyes fell on a green haired woman and Cinnabar's lips pulled in a flirty sort of smirk.

"Sorry, Pretty Girl." She said as she held up a hand, the other tugging down the black, cropped tank top she wore that bared her abs. "I should watch where I'm going so I don't run over lovely ladies." The tall woman offered a playful wink as she shifted, ready to move on with that apology.

Jarias was midstepping when she caught a glance at a pretty brazilian. She was, in short, extremely hot and Jarias was in no way going to not attempt some sort of conversation that may possibly end with a number.

She could be hopeful.

She slipped the headphones down, turned and slid through the crowd till she was closer to the girl. Though it seemed she managed to also get bumped by an equally tall amazon that had Jarias admiring as well.

Damn, the train stop was full of beautiful women. "I don't want to impose," Jarias grinned as she came over, "But please tell me you guys don't come here often, because if you do, I've really been missing out."

Aitana had been prickly, to say the least, lately so when she felt the bump of someone running into her, even despite the fact that it didn't hurt or really upset her path at all, her immediate reaction was a gruff exclaimation. "Hey!" But long before she manage any other words or unwarranted anger the other woman was already apologizing, which soften the Brazilian's face mildly.

At six foot herself Aitana tended to tower over the average girl, so the sight of another, who was even the tinest bit taller than her was strange sight. The slight wink and smirk making her eyes linger just a little bit longer. The other woman was pretty, that was easy enough for Aitana to see and admire. But she had been willing to let the other woman continue on her way until another voice sounded, and she blinked turning to look at the rainbow haired young woman.

Being hit on by one, possibly two, women at once was strange - even if Aitana did find herself as equally attracted to women as she was men. However, in her experience it was usually men that hit on her, and she couldn't help but laugh either way in half confusion and half amusement, even if the second girl was also pretty cute.

"Train seems strange place to pick up on women." She mused, her words slathered quite heavily in her foreign accent. "But no, I only ride sometimes."

Flirting was sadly not Aitana's forte. Unless of course that flirting involved aggressive grappling or something far more obvious.. like bareing her chest for beads or something. Yep, she definitely seemed out of her league at the moment, not that that was the most horrible thing in the world.

He'd prepared himself well, he thought, for this particular mission. It had been quite a long time since Aurostibite had done anything at all in terms of large scale projects for the Negaverse (another facet of his life that had made him regret a great deal of how he'd spent his time as Lieutenant); but this at least motivated him a great deal now, especially considering what he was trying to accomplish with Mintaka and the Dark Mirrors.

He could have simply been mistaken for an off-duty police officer if he played his cards right, his uniform simple and clean enough to pass as one. Aurostibite had still draped a neat black trenchcoat on, however, just in case, his hat tucked securely under his arm.

He'd slowed to a stop beside the clusters of people already on the platform and stood silently, leaning against a wall and letting his gaze move quietly but steadily over each person. His expression was vague and disinterested, but Aurostibite was already making note of the power signatures he could read, gloved hands tucked casually into the pockets of his coat.

Anabel recognized the irony. Lived and breathed it, even - she worked in the DMV, and she didn't have a license. Some doctor, somewhere along the line, had decided that it was a hazard to let her drive. She was too much of a fainting hazard, they said, and confiscated her keys.

She wasn't really sure how being forced to take the subway was much better - it wasn't a good place to take her dog, and the possibility of fainting and falling onto the tracks was just dismal. Anabel did not want to end up squished under a train car and ruining everyone's days (and there were an awful lot of people squeezed onto the platform this evening who she would be ruining things for).

That would just be inconsiderate.

Because she wasn't great at standing for long periods of time and did not fancy being too close to the yellow line, Anabel had staked out a spot on a bench to wait for a train. It had been a hot day, and it seemed even hotter underground with all these people pressed together...

She folded her hands over the satchel in her lap and tried to resist the urge to lean forward and look for the train. "A watched subway never arrives," she said to herself.

Lily was suppose to be in the house, but she was determined to get some shopping done before they went on vacation and by herself dammit. Her family was smothering her. Yes, she had been in the hospital for 8 months and yes she was now a bit underweight, but she was out, feeling good and eating well. She needed some time to herself. Not to mention the awkwardness of being in a house with two people you tired to kill barely three weeks past. Yes that was so much fun.

She stood for a bit, but after the train would probably take a bit to get there so she went to sit down. She was already seated before she noticed that on the other people sitting beside her was familiar.

"Hi," she said to the white haired girl wracking her brain for a name. It didnt come to her, but she, hoped the girl might remember her. "You were at the laser tag right, or was it the other one ..."

She had a blank face for a second trying to remember, it had been a while, but smiled after a second. "I'm Lily."

Look at that.

Isaiah spared a long, unabashed glance at the blonde and rainbow dancer, who spared no expense at her dancing technique. This meant that all endowments were ripe for scrutinizing, and Isaiah loathed passing up such an opportunity.

Besides, her, numerous other interesting characters roamed the subway that afternoon. From a guitar player to an overblown receptionist to kids preparing for school shopping, the subway bustled with activity. Isaiah himself found difficulty sidling between two businessmen in order to work his way around the crowd. Some a*****e who probably reacted aversely to crowds tore into someone else, and Isaiah navigated away from the pair in case fists started flying. Idly he wondered if he should've taken his car, but parking so often proved impossible that he hadn't even considered it that day. Now he was faced with the lot of colorful characters that camped out as they saw fit.

And the train was late, which budded his impatience.

Isaiah finally chose a spot and leaned up against one of the large pillars, hands in his half-jacket's pockets while he glanced about the place. So many moving entities tended to blend together, but Isaiah spotted the blonde and rainbow girl once more, this time with two other lookers. That show, at least, provided something to focus on beyond the growing discomforts of crowds.

That, and he could vape without getting thrown out on his a**. Quite useful, that.

Umber felt ridiculous (and swelteringly hot) in a hoodie and scrubs, but it was the best disguise he could manage. It covered the whole of his bizarre-looking uniform, but brought on numerous questions about his medical practice or where he worked or how much money he made. Some also found it increasingly strange that anyone of a medical profession worked with a facial tattoo, to which he didn't know how to respond. In fact, in most situations, he provided disappointingly unspecific answers to all his solicitors.

And why wouldn't he? His mind lingered on the operation. Brimstone planned the lot of it for him, as Umber lacked the experience to start an operation of this scale. he learned some tricks from General Brimstone during the plotting process, but until they executed the mission, he expected he wouldn't learn as much as what he could after debriefing. For now, he would stick to the plan outlined and wait about for calls from the other officers. So far as he could tell, none of the White Moon approached to interrupt their operation - and no one appeared to recognize them as part of the Negaverse.

Umber wiped the sweat from his brow with the back of his sleeve. He loathed standing around, especially in the sweltering conditions of the subway. So much of his instinct as an officer demanded that he pull starseeds as soon as possible for efficiency purposes. However, as he was reminded, that would blow cover.

A glance among the crowd confirmed a couple other officers - Jarosite and Xenotime. He approached the latter, hoping she might give reprieve to visit the restrooms in the subway and start work there. He offered no greeting upon reaching her, due to the close proximity of some of the denizens. When he spoke, it came as low undertones. "Waiting is just wasting time. Do you have orders, General?"

Jessica Haze had her nose in a book, this wasn't new but the fact that she was in the subway was. The brunette bookworm tended to take her bike, cabs, or even walk but on this day neither of those modes of transportation would work for her so she was stuck with taking the train. Her bike had a flat, she didn't want to pay for a cab, and her destination was too far away for walking so the train was it and it was quite annoying.

She sighed in annoyance as yet another person jostled her making her lose her place briefly in the book. It seemed like the platform was getting more crowded by the moment much to Jessie's annoyance. Although running her own bookstore meant that she met and interacted with a large number of people didn't mean that she liked being packed into a grubby tiled underground bunker like a sardine... The amount of people did not bode well for the elbow room on the subway cars where she would go from tile to a tin can. She pulled her thoughts away from the imagined horrors of her impending trip in a speeding sardine can back to the mores of Ireland and the sisters Concannon.

She had read the series several times, even had a signed omnibus edition, but always found new enjoyment in it each time she picked it up. Jessie had gotten to the part where the two leads were eating dinner at the local castle and sharing ghost stories. It was a cute part and she was completely wrapped up in it, so much so that when she was rammed into by some kids playing the book flew out of her hands. The blue cover was quite visible against the dingy white tile but it was quickly obscured by legs as the shuffling masses of feet sent the book on it's merry way like a hockey puck passed from player to player.

With a gasp of surprise and distress Jessie chased after her book, politely and sometimes not so politely weaving around people trying to keep the blue cover in sight. Jessie briefly lost track of it and in her search she noticed Lily was talking to someone... At Least she thought it was Lily. Jessie was pretty far away so she couldn't tell not that it mattered anyway, the finding her book was much more important at this moment. A flash of blue sent her off again.

Finally she caught up to it, sort of. It had come to a stop against a young man's backpack that he was in the process of digging around in. She assumed it was a boy but with the long hair it might have actually been a girl, Jessie didn't care personally she just wanted her book. Unfortunately she was being blocked by a group of college boys, no matter how much she said 'excuse me' she didn't seem to be getting any closer to her book. Anger and frustration was slowly building, these stupid males were in her way! A quick elbow jab here and there and a few growls surprisingly got the guys to move faster than her polite requests until she found herself a few feet from the boy who was practically on top of her book. "Pardon me, but my book seems to have encountered your bag. May I have it back please." Her anger had faded and now she nervously fidgeted with the hem of her cream colored blouse. It was one thing to snap when people weren't listening it was another to be mean to someone who had, or in this case was near, something you wanted.

At least her stumble didn't provoke a fight or anything. That would have been far too much attention drawn to her so early on. Her grin widened though as green eyes have her a once over and then brightened a little with interest. It was instinct that brought a subtle shift to her stance then, a tilt of her hips and a lift of her chest as she pushed her shoulders back, all designed to best emphasize her well endowed assets. She didn't even mean to do it, really. She wasn't there to pick up girls and if the operation lasted long enough this one wouldn't even make it out of the station.... But man it was hard not to take notice of a tight body.

Red eyes shifted to a head of blonde and rainbow hair and her eyebrows lifted. Not one, but two hotties. Damn, what was her luck today.

"Just passing through, I'm afraid." She said with a warm laugh, dropping hands to slide them into the back pockets of her jeans. "Today seemed like a good day to take the train. I should find my friend though... Sorry again for the jostle."

A hand was freed to offer to the girl in green, Cinnabar's smile wide and flirty.

"Ariel. Maybe I'll see you two around." She lied, giving the blonde a smile as well.

Chris tried not to look too obvious when he nodded his head in agreement. “Yeah, of course I made reservations for four,” he said quickly, and then turned to try and see if he could catch a glimpse of the lights from the train cars. In his defense, he didn’t even know that Paris had a cousin until a few days ago, so it wasn’t entirely his fault. Thankfully, most tables come with an even number of chairs, so he was hoping that luck would hold out for him. If not, he would just apologize and they would pull up an extra chair. No big deal.

“Am I the only one hot in this place?” he asked his wife before realizing what his question sounded like and quickly shook his head to amend it. “Temperature wise, I mean. Look how many people are wearing long sleeves and jackets.” It was weird to him, but maybe that was just because he couldn’t regulate temperature very well for one reason or another?

He didn’t think on it too much, since as long as people weren’t hurting themselves or others, they could do whatever they wanted. Maybe it was part of a statement.

“Do you think they’re preparing for one of those flash mobs?” he snorted in amusement at the thought of being caught up in some dance and singing routine.

Luckily for Chris, Paris was too distracted by the sudden buzzing of her phone and an incoming text from her cousin to notice any of his shifty behavior. She snorted at said text and quickly fired back a sarcastic response.

To Rhiannon
But she's only 32!

She came back into the conversation just in time to hear Chris's comment about feeling a little overheated and laughed lightly. “As a matter of fact, you're the hottest person around for miles,” she said.

There was an element of truth to it even if she was joking.

Paris glanced around the platform to see what Chris meant. There were an awful lot of people wearing clothes not appropriate for the season. There didn't seem to be anything nefarious about it, though. What could possibly be wrong about wearing a coat on a hot summer day? Maybe they just got cold easily.

“Wouldn't that be cool?” she said to Chris's flash mod idea. “I'd get it on camera. I've always wanted to do something like that. I wouldn't know the first thing about organizing one, though.”

“Excuse me, do you know which line would go the city center?” Jet asked as he approached Aurostibite, not because he trusted him as a fellow officer of the Negaverse, but he wanted to make it very clear that he didn’t trust him.

Everything that happened during New Years; the Captain’s inability to help them fend off senshi and knights, his incompetency in keeping the prisoner tied up, and then somehow Sailor Mintaka found herself among the ranks of the Dark Mirror Senshi. A coincidence? He might be stupid about a lot of things, but he highly doubted it.

After all, who would suspect a sweet faced boy asking a potential police officer for help?

“Don’t get in my way,” he added under his breath as his expression shifted darker. Aurostibite put Aquamarine and Seraphinite in danger with his actions (or lack thereof) that night, and Jet would not easily forget that.

Gigi was no stranger to public transport, but when it came to timetables, she might as well have been. Stitch in her side, she careened onto the platform, fetching up against the turnstiles with the full expectation that the train would be pulling up as she arrived. It had been absolutely ages since she’d been able to make it to a card tournament, and she’d spent maybe a little too long reworking her best deck with a couple of new additions, so she’d left the house late to start. And then decided to wear heels. Sometimes her planning was not the best planning.

On the plus side, it didn’t look like she’d missed the train for once. On the downside, the platform was super-crowded with overdressed people, and stinky in the heat. She paid for her ticket and pushed through anyway, dropping her change into the busker’s bucket on the way past, without really listening to his playing. Anyone deliberately spending time down here obviously needed all the support they could get. And anyway, there didn’t seem to be a café.

She began skirting around the walls and circling columns, looking for a timetable that wasn’t unreadable with grime, or a sign to tell her how long she was going to have to wait. It didn’t really matter one way or the other, she was still going to miss the start of the tournament, and that sucked. But it would be nice if she could call ahead and tell them how late. Maybe they could save her a space for the second round.
