Very lightly laying down some demanding taps of authority
Zariah keened in pain a second time as the drone beat him. He coiled his arms over his head, clenching his eyes tight. He heard his twin screaming at the other drone and he started, he'd never heard he scream like that...like she was enraged! It was a little empowering. He grinned sheepishly at the thought and unfurled himself, jumping away from the drone before darting in with another swift swipe of his mighty pen. He was rewarded with a pained howl of his success.

Vremea heals Zariah for half his HP.
BOSS HP: 20 Vremea slowly realized how tired Zariah was getting in the middle of the battle. Hustling over toward him, she murmured a few words of assurance before using her powers to calm him down and heal him, closing her eyes and focusing. She expected Kei to back her up as she did so, hand still hovering over his sore muscles. After a second, the yellowblood pulled away, patting his shoulder and jumping right back into the fray, slightly happy-cited.
HP: 36 HP

Boss HP: 18 A glow from nearby - healing power. Yes. That was right, Vremea could heal. Keionx had seen it in the tunnels, on the battlefield, and it had - then as now - seemed very fitting. Its glow arrested her attention for a moment and she felt emotions bubble up inside of her, feelings she didn't want to acknowledge, not yet. She grit her teeth and, as one of the guards charged at her, she threw him over her shoulder, sending him flailing. Now was not the time to think of such things as feelings... except in the context of beatdowns.

What is this? This feeling in the air?
Zariah started at the feeling of.....feeling....better? What was going on? He didn't understand. He looked to the yellowblood in confusion and saw her hands glowing. Was she doing it? And just what was she doing? Whatever it was he felt....better.....STRONGER! More invigorated! And less like he'd been thrashed by a heavy night stick several times. Though, just as he was distracted by her amazing powers he crashed into the floor, sorely bruising his rear. He flushed in shame as he quickly scrambled back up. Of course he'd ruin it....she healed him just for him to go and injure himself stupidly. Kei never seemed to have that problem....
HP: 19/20

Vremea dealt 3 damage.
BOSS HP: 13 - 3 = 10 A loud shout of anger tore her throat, shoving her pole at the drones in front of them easily before twirling and giving them a hard kick with her sturdy shoes. Thankfully she managed to avoid any serious cuts or hits, being one step ahead of the others at all times. "I think they are getting weaker," Vremea whispered to the team, being careful to not speak so loud and clenching tightly onto her weapon.

Boss HP: 6 Thankfully Keionx didn't notice her twin's fall. She was too busy attacking a guard that had hit her in the gut. She retaliated by lopping off his horn, grimacing intimidatingly. Yes, she agreed, they were weakening. Except, apparently, not weakened enough! Enraged by the loss of his horn, the guard attacked, ramming into her and bearing her to the ground. She struggled, gaining purchase on his vest-clothed chest, but not before he beat her with his nightstick. Hard. She kicked out and managed to get him off of her, but the injuries lingered. She held her side for a moment, catching her breath for a moment...

Doing a thing
Zariah delivered his final blow, dropping one of the drones, the other looked terribly weathered, but still functional, he cringed at that. He thought he'd be able to use his pen well enough to fend for himself.....clearly not as well as he'd hoped. He glanced to Vremea as the drone neared her for the final rally. He flushed in shame at the thoughts, he wanted to deliver the fatal blow....he'd wanted to be able to save Kei's lusus himself, he'd wanted to prove he could stand alone.....he was too cocky and he knew it.
HP: 18/20

Vremea dealt 4 damage.
BOSS HP: 2 - 4 = 0 With a hard lash at the drone and a rather rough whack to it's side, Vremea watched carefully as the drone let out a pant and-- Her eyes glinted. The very moment the drone fell to his knee, the older lowblood motioned down the hallway, grabbing both the twins by their arms and pulling them along with her, until they reached a little further than needed. She adjusted her outfit, trying to make sure nothing got caught on anything before looking at the other two, still silent. She still had not spoken to them in a voice any higher than a whisper or a nod, merely for precaution. She motioned around before nearing the two. "I think we should explore further. I highly doubt they are anywhere on this floor," She murmured. After all, this was the first floor! No one in their right minds would put the lusi on the first floor.

Why was she still thinking this way. Can't you see, you deluded idiot, that there never was any gogdamn treasure?! Keionx diligently tried to ignore that little voice inside of her, like she always had, but this time it would be heard. This time it would not be ignored. There never was any treasure. There never was any hope. There will just be more guards and then what???
Well, obviously, she'd fight them. Her lusus was down there. He was here! And she had to save him.
He's probably dead by now.
Keionx kept her mouth shut, lest that stray, sour thought be spoken and thus become too real. ”I'm right behind you.” she said to Zariah.

Where are we even going?
The guards dropped and Zariah made a run, knowing they were looking just to get past the drones...not looking for more of a fight. He looked to Vremea and Keionx before dropping his eyes again. He shouldn't have gotten them involved....he would've been able to do that himself....right? He bit his lip and frowned. No, he knew he couldn't. He'd barely been able to help with the three of them there, if he'd been alone he would've had to pray he could be steathy enough to get past them without their notice. As it was he was fairly certain their mission was anything but stealthy.
"Um....wh-where should we go from here..?" he asked hessitantly. The hallways looked identical...just that cold steel that went on for what seemed like forever. "They both l-look equally bad...." he added, wringing his hands nervously. As soon as Kei's lusus was saved he could go back to their hive....he'd just go back to hiding and trying to fly under the radar...hopeless as that seemed with the tracking chip in his wrist.

Vremea flexed her wrist slightly as she summoned a soft light to emit from her hand, lifting her head to look around. She squinted at the two dark hallways, shining her light upon them when she heard Zariah's words of confusion. She blinked. "I came here on the assumption you remembered where to go." Then again, he is but a child. She was thankful she planned ahead— Vremea had been saving these for a dire moment such as this. Pulling out green goggles she owned from her very first Bloodfest, Vremea strapped them on, looking quite deep into the the hallways. She carefully zoomed her view, able to see more of the place and seeing— The slight movement of a guard.
Glancing to the other side, which seemed to have no guards, the disguised yellow blooded zoomed out and looked toward the other two, motioning toward where there was a guard. "There is a guard there. If we follow the path guards are guarding while we knock them out, we might find them." Vremea offered, removing the goggles from her golden eyes and staring at Zariah. "They would be guarding them from being released. Or we could take the other route, which has no guards." She murmured, eyes moving to Keionx in that second. They needed to think of the good and the bad of any given situation, and not charge blindly like lunatics, this time.

Well, obviously, treasure would be guarded. Dad. The treasure is my Dad. Keionx admonished herself again, staying quiet and broodingly studying a wall as she listened to them talk. She became aware, uneasily, of eyes on her, and she looked up at Vremea, unfurling her crossed arms slowly. Did Vremea want her to decide? How would she know anything about this? ”Um.” she frowned, blinking away her unhappy thoughts and the remainents of her delusions. She had to be strong, after all, didn't she. For Zariah. He couldn't know the turmoil inside, the terrible dullness she felt. ”We need a map.” she said flatly. She didn't want to just charge in, either.

Map......a map.....that would sure be helpful. His head hung lower at the accusation her heard in Vremea's tone, cringing at his own folly. "S-sorry..." he demurred. He hadn't been paying too much attention while he'd been in the fascility, somewhat numbed to the entire 'visit'. Plus, he'd only caught glimpses of where the lusii had been held, he hadn't really seen if they'd all been kept the in same place. "Um.....th-they we-were hooked up to m-machines......f-for power?" he said nervously, wringing his hands as he dared a look at the yellowblood. "M-maybe if we f-follow w-wiring we can f-find them...." he swallowed hard, pointing to cables stapled to the ceilings that looked at least a little out of place. Perhaps they hadn't had time to fully rewire the walls to accomodate the excess power. "Or.....or if w-we see anyone with f-food to feed the lusii..." he trailed off, hopeful look on his face.
Zariah eyed Keionx for a moment, unsure what to make of her expressions. Usually so vivacious and ready for adventure, now so muted in comparison. It was unnerving to say the least. He didn't doubt for a moment that it was the loss of her lusus, it wasn't something easy to get over....especially when nit wasn't even her fault her lusus was gone. He wrung his hands again, trying to shake out his nerves. Well...maybe it would be best to just pick a direction and go with it? "M-maybe that way?" he asked, motioning to the less guarded area. Sure it meant there was less to protect in that direction....but maybe they didn't feel like to lusii were that important to keep vigil over? Plus the wires were heading in that direction...either it would lead them to the lusii...or to whatever they were powering.

"We do not have a map. Searching for one is pointless." Vremea stated, glancing back down the dangerous way since it seemed Keionx wasn't going to make a decision any time soon. Listening to the younger twin apologize, Vremea patted his shoulder. "It is alright, Zariah. We will figure this out. I apologize for putting such a large weight on your shoulders." She said soothingly, then looked around again and felt her hands nervously slide over her own. Now she was beginning to get nervous, especially since Zariah seemed to pick a random direction and go with it without thinking about how likely it'd be that they find Beastdad. Vremea stopped, however, sighing and motioning in the other direction. Vremea trusted her own judgement but wasn't about to leave two young trolls alone in the dangerous Punishment Pits. "Alright. Let us make haste." She said, taking the lead and beginning to walk ahead of them, scouting the area carefully for any drones so as to not get caught and heading into the less guarded area.

LordPocky I'm thinking we should either find beastie or hit a dead end, up to you Keionx watched Zariah, her feelings so complicated right now that they registered as impassive. All right – there was no map, there was no plan, he had no idea where he was going... but he was going to do it anyway. A smile flickered at the corners of her mouth, barely... it was something she would have done. It was something beastdad would be proud of. ”I have your back.” she said, taking the rear guard.
