Aseara tried not to judge Saraf for his reaction. “Yes I am serious.” She replied calmly, glancing at him once. He didn’t know their rules, didn’t know the whole story, so how could he make a proper judgement on them? Obans were always quick to judge, Aseara had noticed, for better or for worse. That was okay, let them judge. She didn’t want to argue about it anyways, she had more pressing matters to look after really. “Thank you for the help.” She said before she wondered away from him so he could do his own business in private.
In the meantime, Aseara wondered about. Walking slowly around the tent and looking at the different weapons. She wasn’t really sure how she was going to keep a weapon on herself, or how to even use one. Perhaps that was something she’d have to ask Nuri on his return, something to look forward to. Until then, she would have to hope that she wouldn’t come across any situations that required her to use it. Aseara glanced briefly at Saraf once in a while to see if he was done, and when it looked like he was she made her way over to him once more.

After having a good chat with the swordsmith Saraf handed over the agreed upon price for the greatsword that he'd purchased from the man. It was a beautiful blade, one that he looked forward to getting home so that he could pratice with it. He meant to become the best sword master in Oba one day if he got his way and that meant practice and tons of it. Slinging the strap on the sheath over his shoulder he headed over toward where Aseara was standing, holding a hand out to her, offering a sheathed knife, "Buying them together was a better deal then buying them separately." He explained, not wanting her to think that he was just buying her things at random or to get confused. He had no interest in taking Nuri's woman, he wasn't such a terrible friend as that. "It has decorations etched into the blade and a jewel in the pommel, fancy but still useful, it should serve whatever purpose you want it to serve." Whether she wanted it for show or to actually stab someone with it, either way it should work out for her. With it he hoped she'd be able to protect herself from the people that were out there, people he knew weren't good people. There would be those who ignored the rules, those who would still want foreign slaves despite what the King had decreed. There would also be those that took people and sold them to people in other countries, and without Nuri here to look after her he felt he should help at least in this capacity.

“Thank you it is beautiful,” Aseara took the blade from him and ran her thumb over it. She did not however, want to be in debt to Saraf and she also wanted to show him that she was able to afford things on her own. “How much do I owe you for it?” It would be a useful blade, she didn’t know if she’d ever have to use it but it would serve its purpose as he had said. It was always better safe than sorry, and Aseara could not afford an injury while Afsana was away from the Red Amaryllis.
“Saraf I must ask a favor,” She thanked the blacksmith and exited the tent away from prying ears. Once she felt they were far enough, she turned to face him. “I do not like to ask favors; much less ask favors from an Oban.” It wasn’t that she had a particular dislike for Obans, she simply didn’t like their collection methods. “Nuri is leaving and I have no way of knowing where he has gone off to. I would like to send him letters but I need to be able to give directions to the courier brids.” She paused, letting it sink in. It was now or never.
“I do not think the ranking officers would give me what I need because of what I am,” she didn’t think they would trust her with such information. She was a Wind Earthling after all. “Would you be able to get me this information? I would like to keep in contact with Nuri.” There plan and simple. “I will not hold it against you if you chose to refuse; I will try to find other ways. However, you are his friend and I thought you would be my best bet.” There was nothing else she could add.

Saraf gave the Wind Tribeswoman a long look as she asked him how much she owed him, wondering if he should be insulted or not. It wasn't as though he was so hard up for cash that he needed her to pay him back for a simple knife after all. At the same time maybe it was something else? A pride thing on her part? Now that much Saraf could understand since he plenty of pride to go around, and as such it was something he would actually let slide. Due to that thought he finally told her what the knife cost him, "No really anything to worry about in the long run. I got a discount since I bought it along with the sword." "Eh?" She had a favor to ask of him? He turned to look at Aseara, realizing that he was actually curious as to what it was that she might need of him. It took her a moment to describe it but once she finally told him what it was that she needed. It was understandable that she would want to send messages to Nuri since he was important to her. He nodded his head slowly before he said, "t's possible that it could happen but I can't say that it would be easy to do. Nuri wants to go out into the world, to chase down foreign beasts, which means he might be hard for messenger birds to track down. At the same time I suppose it's always possibe that they could find him depending on their training." He knew little about beast master things after all, meaning that they could be smart enough that they could somehow track Nuri down no matter where he might end up. Giving a thoughtful sound he said, "I can ask after Nuri, it would be useful for me as well to know where he is, so if get some information about him we both benefit. I can't promise anything with him treking through the wilds of who knows where."

“Are you sure? I do not mind paying you back.” Perhaps she could pay him back some other way. “If I can’t pay you back in material possessions, you are more than welcomed to the Red Amaryllis for music or dance, or even a singing session if you prefer on me.” That much she could do and easily offer to him. She didn’t know if he would take her up on the offer, but it was out on the table for him to take if he wanted it. She knew Nuri had always been a bit shy about going to the Red Amaryllis, but he was hoping to change it into a better place while Afsana was gone.
“Any information on his whereabouts would be very much appreciated.” She bowed. “I’ll be at the Red if you need me.” She paused. “I’ve got to get back to work, but it’s been nice Saraf.” And she genuinely meant it. “You have a nice day and thank you again for the dagger.” She bowed again, out of habit, before offering him a small smile and walking away clutching the dagger. She was going to have to find a place where she could hide it on herself until she made it to her room. Hopefully, Saraf would be able to find out Nuri’s whereabouts and would relay the information to her. At least for now, she could turn her mind to other worries.
