"K." Her voice is chipper, but clipped, and she hasn't felt the need to use such short words since she left home. Weren't things funny like that? Abbi ran away from a father who liked to lecture her and ended up with a substitute.
"Some things?" Abbi echoed with no small amount of curiosity. What the heck had happened to them? Would Jack even explain it? Probably not... Couldn't hurt to push. "What kind of things?" A hand reached out to lightly swat at Jack for his use of language when referring to Leslie, but much in the way his own nickname no longer held any sort of meaning so too did her little tap mean little. "Oh, sorry you forgot, but maybe I can jog your memory? He's like only my best friend." The teen wrinkled her nose at Jack and sat back on the pillows gently. "I haven't seen him lately and he works in the Infirm. I gotta make sure he's ok."

The doorknob rumbled slightly before she entered with an armful of things stacked so high she couldn't see over them.
"Boredom squad's arrived. Or maybe anti-boredom's more right. Anyways-"
She peeked around the things and realized there were two figures in the room, not one. Chel set her things down near Abbi's bedside and rushed to the bedridden girl, but her hands in Abbi's.
"OH ABBI," Chel began dramatically. "Why you seein' another like this? Thought what we had was special."
No she did not know why Jack was here or what they were talking a out and no she was not going to miss an opportunity to make fun of them both. Though they were definitely going to come back to that "Leslie is my best friend" comment.

"He's a scrapper, he'll live."
But speak of the devil. Jack rolled his eyes as Chel made her entrance. "Just wanted to check up on her," he said as he pushed his chair back. "You can have her all to yourself now." Like they were separated parents with designated visiting hours.

While she hadn't necessarily intended for Chel to arrive while Jack was there, Abbi was pleasantly surprised to find it worked out that way all the same. "Hi Chel hi! Look look--" But whatever else she was going to say was cut off by Chel's dramatics, which were pretty funny and had the girl giggling softly. "I mean, technically you see him more than me sooooo."
The grin disappears when Jack pushes himself back and a hand shoots out toward him. "No no no! Staaaaaay!" There isn't any further the girl can reach without cramping her side so she instead flails and makes grabby hands. "I never get to see you both! Stay with me pleaasseee! I'm hurt you have to!" A very serious puppy face was given to Jack, then to Chel in hopes she would understand that she would have to help convince him too.

Chel smirked at Abbi's reaction and gestured for Jack to stay just the same. She even moved over so there was enough room for him too. That is, if the high and mighty cat would lower himself to sit with them. Odds are he wouldn just take his chair back n
"It really that rare t'see us t'gether? Feels more like I hog him." Between the house and his clones and her work out schedule and his infirmary duty it didn't really sound surprising though. "More time fer you I guess." More time for Abbi was always the best time.
She let go of one of Abbi's hands to pat the girl's cheeks (the ones on her face thankfully) in an almost motherly fashion. "How's the lady holdin' up then? You dyin' yet? 'Cause f'you are I better see my name slapped on that will."

Making a soft noise of long-suffering, Jack fell back down in his chair. It was true, they didn't spend a whole lot of time together, and doing so now only made him feel just that much more awkward. Worse, since eventually Chel was going to find out about why Abbi was hurt at all, and whether or not her reaction was strong, it would still be just one more chip on his shoulder.
That, and he was sure Abbi wasn't going to avoid the "what kind of things?" line of questioning.
"She's doing well enough to sass me," Jack drawled.

Beaming as best she could, Abbi grinned from Chel to Jack and back a few times, one bandaged hand reaching out to touch some part of Chel as she sat down. "I mean, sassing people is my natural state of being, but yeah I'm ok!" She bumped her head against the giant bear's she currently reclined against and winked at Chel. "I'll make sure you get Onii-chan." Not that there really was a will, though maybe Abbi shoulder consider one. She wasn't very good at saving her monthly earnings, but she had amassed a decent clothing collection and kept them nice. And she was saving up to buy herself, and then runic, a PS4, along with a nice T.V. It wasn't much, but her book collection was pretty well stocked in the medical department... Maybe she'd even leave Jack her shoe collection in one final fit of childlike petulance.
"I've only got a few wounds! Nothing too bad! I can walk this time too." Unlike some of the others, and maybe this time she wouldn't scar too badly. "I'm more worried about you, though. Jack was just about to tell me all about how you were doing." Abbi's hand found one of Chel's and gave a good squeeze, smiling first at her, and then with a little more something in the slant of her mouth, at Jack.

Chel's first question was, "What the ******** is oneeshan?" because seriously Abbi what even was that.
She watched the slow interaction between Jack and Abbi, deciphering that there was something going on between the two, but not what it was. "I'm okay. Don't worry 'bout me, no scratches or anythin'." Not entirely true, but not visible so Abbi couldn't prove a thing. Not to mention she was already covered in scars; any new ones would be impossible to notice.
