Enoukn frowned at this revelation, thinking for a moment he squeezed his goat-plush close to him. He really wanted to make sure his plant flourished and thrived. So worry was beginning to creep up on him.

Turning to Jezebeth he nodded his head slowly. "Yes, let's go double check..." He said quietly, getting up and memorizing the page he was on before he closed the book. "We should go now!" He said, tugging her sleeve lightly.

"Please, cause if we need to... move it... I want to know how." He really hoped that they would be able to figure out a way to move the plant if it came to that. He didn't want to hurt it though.

It was easy for Jezebeth to see the concern on his face, she felt the same way. Though she probably didn't have as strong as a connection to the little plant, having just met it today. As a fan of all things nature though, she did want to see it thrive. She gave him a little reassuring smile and rose form her own chair. "Yeah, we'll check to make sure and see about finding someone who would know how to move it..." She was sure it could be done, but she wasn't quite sure who to ask about doing so.

She gathered up the books she had picked out, but handed Enoukn the one about flowers. I'd like to check that one out myself. I should put these back where I found them though." She could just leave them with the librarian to put away, but she was pretty good an remembering where she picked them from. And she thought, or hoped, it helped the Librarian have a bit of an easier job if people would replace their own books.

All in all she had six books to return to their rightful place on the book shelves. Five are those were easy for her, but the sixth one was the one she had pulled down from a taller shelf. It was it to fly and pull a book down. But to fly, make room for the book, and slide it back in posed an extra challenge. She braced herself, extending her wings and flapping them a few times. She jumped just a bit, trying to get the flight she needed for those extra inches. But perhaps it was because Enoukn was there watching, she just couldn't quite make it happen.

Enoukn took the book with a nod, watching Jezebeth as she put the books away. When she started to have trouble with the final book, he placed the one in his hands on the table and moved over to her. Looking up at the shelf above he looked at Jezebeth and then dropped onto a knee and held his hands out.

"Need a boost?" He asked, more than willing to give Jezzie a boost up to get the book in place. He was sturdy even being little. He realized he could put that sturdiness to good use.

"It might help you up the rest of the way?" He asked, thinking that it might just be enough for her to get up to reach that last book. She was trying to hard, and he hoped he didn't offend her sensibilities by offering, but - friends helped each other right? So that's all he was doing. Being a helpful friend and helping her get to that higher place that she couldn't quite reach on her own. It only made sense!

Jezebeth's wings folded back along her back. She looked down at Enoukn from where he crouched on one knee. It hurt just a little bit that she couldn't manage to reach it on her own. She had done it before! Some small part of her had just wanted to show off the fact that she could fly! Kind of. Mostly. Sometimes anyway. She certainly didn't decline when he offered to help. However, maybe she should have put on some shoes before.

"Thanks..." She replied, a little bit of color in her cheeks. She stepped carefully, surprised by how sturdy he was. With his help, she was able to reach the shelf to return the book easily. Of course, she also could have just given him the book to put away in the first place. Her pride wouldn't let her do that though!

She hoped down once the book as put away. When he rose she gave him a quick hug, wrapping her little arms as far around him as she could. "Alright! Let's go see what we can do about that plant!" She nodded, gathering up the book they were checking out and heading toward the front desk. She had just hugged someone! That made them friends right? This rainy day was turning into a little ball of twilight.

Enoukn was more than happy to help her up the last few inches to put the book away. Moreover he was actually really glad she hadn't gone back to her room to get shoes! It was a lot easier on his hands to lift her barefooted than if she'd been wearing shoes - those would have dug into his hands and made it painful.

Still, he'd been helpful and that was all that mattered right? When she hopped down he smiled "Y-"

His words were cut short when she gave him the hug, his own cheeks flushing a bit when she did so. He'd gotten a hug! He'd made a friend! He was so thrilled. "You're very welcome!" He said with quiet excitement, trying to keep his voice down out of respect for the other patrons. He was so happy. He'd made a friend!

"Yes, let's go see if we are right!" He said, quickly following after her, letting her lead the way. He was so thrilled. He had just made his first friend! Jezebeth was his first friend. His little tail wiggled excitedly at the prospect as he carried the plushy along with him. Though more out of habit now than comfort.

Jezebeth peeked back a few times to make sure Enoukn was following her, still a little convinced he'd grow bored at any moment and find something else to do. Once she made her way to the front desk she went through the procedure of checking the book out, making sure Enoukn would know how to do it for later trips. They would be coming back again, right? Together? She tried not to worry about it for now.

"Now, let's go check on your plant." She smiled and quietly made her way out into the hallway. Once out in the hall where there were windows, she was pleasantly surprised to realize the rain had stopped. That would make getting outside so much easier, especially for their rented books. They'd still have to be careful with them though.

She picked up her pace once they were outside of the library, eager to get back to the courtyard. As she walked, she was trying to think of a teacher they could go to for aid, perhaps just one of the caretakers could be of aid to them.

Enoukn was following Jezebeth alright, if he would have been following any closer one would have to wonder if he was a bit nervous about being alone. To be fair, the Baphomet did not like being alone, and if it were not for his plushy, he would probably never leave the confines of most common areas and classes. Still, he was going to stick to Jezzie like glue until she told him to bugger off.

He did however, pay rapt attention to how to check out books - this would be important to know in the future on their later visits. He had no illusions that there would be more trips like this. Going to the library with Jezebeth had been fun! Very fun! He was going to have to figure out another reason to come this way again, and soon. Hopefully to learn more about plants and nature and everything going on outside.

Regardless, when she picked up the pace, he easily fell in behind her, his longer stride letting him keep up with ease. He realized it would be difficult for Jezzie to keep up with him if he were ever going to lead her anywhere, so he took that into account for future expeditions. He wouldn't want to make things harder for his friend!

He clung to plushy and book as they walked, quietly following her. Words were not needed so he didn't say any. They were on their quest, so that was that.

Before heading back into the courtyard Jezebeth stepped back into the boots that remained where she had left them, by the door. While it wasn't raining outside anymore, the ground was sure to still be wet. After they were on she stepped back into the courtyard, holding the door for Enoukn to pass by her. Once he was out she let the door close behind her and dashed into the courtyard. She couldn't run inside, but there weren't any rules against it outside.

"C'mon~" She gently tugged on Enoukn sleeve, slowing down as she passed him. She a little smirk she sped back up though, her wings flutter behind her, like she might take off, but she remained grounded as she weaved through the trees, searching for the place where they had met just earlier that day.

She found the tree after a short burst of speed and slowed down to approach the plant. She waved Enoukn over and pointed to the book in his hand. Now to see if they were really the same.

Enoukn tried to keep up with the boot-clad fallen, but his hooves were not as nimble on the wet stone as they looked. He lacked the rubber coated traction of her boots, so he had to be ,mindful of where he put them. But that didn't mean that he didn't manage to keep up. Again, his longer stride was a saving grace in this regard, though he had to move a bit slower than Jezebeth - he could at least cover the same amount of distance.

When she tugged his sleeve he gave her a small sheepish smile and a nod and quickened his pace a bit, quickly joining her by the three with his plant. He crouched down, bending at the knees to open his book and skim through the pages to find the plant he had thought it might be. Hopefully it would match up and then they'd have a better idea of what to do.

Once he found the page in question, he nodded slowly with a bit of a huff. "Yes, it looks like it is the same." He said, showing the book to Jezebeth. "See, the leaves and stem match up..."

Now the question was what to do?

Jezebeth peeks over at the book as Enoukn studied it himself. She looked from the plant and what she could see of the page while he made his own observations. It was certainly looking like they had discovered what their little plant was. She nodded as he expressed his opinion, though once given the chance to look at the book properly as well she had to agree.

"Yes, they most certainly seem to match up..." She crossed her arms in front of her, she squinted her eyes as she thought about who might be helpful to them in this situation. There was a teacher that came to mind, Mister Daruta might be able to help them! He taught all sorts of things about plants in his class. Surely he might know what they could do to find the little tree it's own home.

"It's still pretty small right now. I don't think much harm will come to it for some time yet. But, Mister Daruta has a class about plants! He might be able to help us!" He was a friendly enough teacher as well. Maybe after one of his classes they could stop by his desk and ask him the question? She didn't see much harm in that! If he didn't know how to help, than they'd just have to return to their first source; the library!

Enoukn closed the book with a small nod. Yes, they would have to go to a teacher - they didn't have the knowledge they needed right then, and the book they had didn't really cover what to do in a situation like this. Worse of all, Eno didn't want to risk moving the little plant without the proper help and assistance. he wanted it to grow and thrive - not get hurt by his novice attempt at trying to move it.

If it could in fact be moved.

That was not something that he wanted to think about. What if they couldn't move it? What if in order for it to grow properly it needed to remain in the shade of its parent tree? Were plants like freshlings? Did they need a caretaker to grow? An odd line of thought but one that Eno had all the same. Surely these plants in the courtyard grew on their own... But weren't they helped by the caretakers and teachers? Surely they hadn't grown this way on their own?

Something to think about and look into for sure. Turning to Jezzie he gave her a small smile and nodded. "We should go and talk to him and see if he can help!" It seemed like the only option at this point.

One that Eno was more than willing to pursue.

Jezebeth took a moment to ponder their next move, honestly there was a lot to consider. It could be that their little plant would actually thrive in the conditions it was in, for now anyway. It might be for the best that the larger tree provided it some protection. She nodded when Enoukn mentioned they should find Mr. Daruta. As she was about to go along with the plan her stomach let out a little rumble and a blush spread across her tanned face.

Has that much time really passed? Well, they had been in the library for a while. "Um, maybe dinner first...?" They could always find Mr. Daruta a little later. Perhaps after one of his classes later in the week? For now, her stomach was reminding her that it was time for dinner. They'd likely already started serving food in the cafeteria. Up to that point she had usually just found some quiet table to sit at, but this time...

She looked over toward Enoukn, a small smile on her face. "Do you want to join me for dinner?" She hadn't actually sat with a friend for a meal before! It'd be yet another new experience she could add to her list for the day. She was most definitely planning on taking her book with her as well, though she'd be extra careful to not get it dirty!

If Jezzie had not reminded Eno that it was time to eat, the excited little Baphomet might have just charged blindly on to find the teacher. However, at her reminder, his own body chimed in - reminding the freshling that he did need sustenance in order to thrive. Nodding his head a bit, he rubbed his empty tummy.

"Yes, dinner sounds like a good plan," The bapho freshling said with a nod, before taking hold of Jezzie's hand and leading her back toward the door.

"Follow me! I know a quick way to the cafeteria!" Eno liked to eat - he burned up a lot of energy so he'd learned the most effective routes to the cafeteria first and foremost. This was something he was more than willing to share with his new friend, mainly because he was super glad he wasn't going to have to eat alone anymore.

Book tucked under the arm clinging to his plushy, his other hand in Jezebeth's, Enoukn did his best to make good time but not make it hard for the smaller fallen freshling to keep up. After all - if they didn't hurry all the good stuff would be taken by the older students!

Jezebeth nodded with enthusiasm as Enoukn mentioned going to the cafeteria with her. She was a little startled when he reached for her hand, taking hold of it and leading the way though. She hadn't held hands with anyone before, well except for the occasional caretaker leading her around the academy. Was this something friends did? Well she certainly didn't dislike it at least.

There was a small smile on her face and she held his hand, letting him lead her through the halls toward the cafeteria. She kept her book tucked under her free arm. He kept an easy enough pace for her to follow as well, but she did try to keep her wings as neatly folded behind herself as possible, so as to not cause them any trouble getting around other Nightmares on their way to their destination.

She giggled once or twice as they dodged around fellow students, though for the most part they avoided others on their way. It seemed Enoukn really did know the best way to arrive there. It was really a lot of fun. It was completely different from how she was used to getting around on the academy grounds.

Once they arrived at the cafeteria she continued to hold onto his hand, making their way toward the line. She might have been a little out of breathe, but that probably had more to do with the fact she was holding her hand and had been laughing most of the way there.

The laughter was of course, contagious so by the time they got to the cafeteria, Enoukn was also laughing. So what if they made lots of noise? It wasn't quiet time yet! It was dinner time, if people wanted them to be quiet they could ask them nicely. Besides, it had been fun dodging and weaving through the masses of older and younger students alike to try and be the firsts to get in line. He knew they wouldn't make it - some of the older students he knew often camped the door. But you could get a pretty decent spot if you were fast enough.

He slid into line with Jezebeth, not letting go of her hand until he was forced to take a tray. It had been a useful way of not getting separated in the crowded hallways - but he'd taken a few less busy routes to ensure they got to the cafeteria before the rush. He made a note of this. Holding Jezzie's hand had been nice too.

He liked having a friend.

Going through the line, he picked up mainly fruits and vegetables - a little meat, but not a lot. In all honesty if he could have he would have loaded his tray full of the sweet berries and fruits but he held off, instead snagging a couple extra helpings of the stuff to share with Jezzie if she would like. He liked to share things after all.

He smiled at her as they made their way through the line, but didn't really say much. Finally he reached the end and motioned for her to follow him to one of the quiet tables in the corner of the room. He'd seen older students go over there in groups of two - so it only made sense...
