Sinter does 0 damage!

Trying to unlatch this helmet was the most aggravating thing Sinter had done that entire night. He was so close to even the barest amount of victory and he just… couldn’t…

Sinter’s head rattled and his ears stung. He wasn’t sure what happened, but Aandes had slipped out from under his arms. Sinter doubled over the void where Aandes used to be and swore. Quickly, he grabbed his sword off the ground and tore after his target.

It was a stupid move in retrospect, but Sinter grabbed onto the cargo of the motorcycle, as though his weight alone could stop the machine from taking off. Sinter didn’t even make it that far as the entire crate toppled to the ground and embarrassingly enough, onto Sinter’s foot.

”GOD <********> DAMN IT!” Sinter was more humiliated than pained and nearly tripped himself trying to pull himself from the cracked crate. Packing peanuts oozed out of the box and fluttered around the garage. Sinter looked up at the stranger with fire in his eyes.

3 damage! -fart sounds-

The cargo had come undone -- thank gog. Sinter seemed pained by the falling box, and Aandes sighed. At least it wasn't his doing. He was down by a dozen TPS devices. Hopefully the rebel numbers would suffice with twelve. Hopefully... They wouldn't be so reduced that twelve was too many.

Morbid thoughts left Aandes' mind as he kicked into gear and began his flight. With a screech of tires and a plume of smoke in Sinter's direction, Aandes busted out of the garage. Only a few seconds more and he would be home free.

(will edit if he doesnt go down next turn LOOOOOOOOOOL)

The exhaust in Sinter’s face was an added insult to injury. He coughed and hacked and his eyes burned. Watery-eyed, Sinter ran for his last line of defense: the gate controls. He wasn’t sure how long it would take the fences surrounding the base to close versus how fast Aandes had taken off, but it was his last hope. It wasn’t like he could catch up on foot.

Sinter kicked the box aside and ran for the panel near the edge of the garage. There were buttons and switches for various platforms and windows, the garage door, the security cameras—the perimeter gates!

Sinter slammed his hand down on the panel and the doors at the end of the garage’s drive began to creak and roll.

Aandes does 4 damage!

He was in the clear, and then the gates began to close. Aandes, now in a full panic, threw his tire iron blindly behind him. Sorry, Sinter. He hoped for a near miss.

"Fffuu--!" Aandes screamed. He gunned it. In his time with the bike he hadn't pushed it this far, but there was no time like the present. The motorbike nearly bleated and bellowed underneath him, zipping dangerously across the even ground.

Tall metal gates began to close in around him like prison bars. Aandes gaped and gritted his teeth for the final count-down. It was like an action movie, but he was his own stunt double and he was definitely going to die.

At the last moment, Aandes chickened out. He sweeped in front of the gate, careening towards it and barely avoiding a crash. The skid mark was like an enormous gash in the sandy entrance. "Hhhh!!" the huge arc had Aandes' head spinning. He was now moving at a reasonable pace, but parallel to the gates. He had to come up with some way to get out of here, fast.

And there it was! Thank gog for Chittentown being built in this desert landscape. A rocky outcropping bisecting the outer perimeter beckoned for Aandes, and he cleared the knot out of his throat. Take two.

The gates were closing! Sinter was going to trap him! Sinter watched, baffled by his own success as the gates headed off Aandes at the edge of the base. Of course, there was only so much Sinter could do at such a distance. He needed to pin down the intruder and retrieve the remaining stolen goods.

Sinter ran down the dusty road, sword in hand. He didn’t need to outrun the bike, he just needed to be there when the bike would inevitably be forced to turn around. God—was he really planning on fighting a motorcycle like some kind of mechanical toreador!?

Sinter’s thought was obliterated with a white, blinding pain in his chest and left shoulder. He stumbled down onto one knee as he cried out in pain.

Two damage bbbbfbfbt

He was picking up speed. Now that he was off the beaten path and surrounded by the sandy exterior of the Chittentown base, an enormous dust cloud had grown behind the greenblood's tires. His knuckles were ghostly white and he could feel his gums starting to ache from the pressure he was putting on his teeth from biting down. His motorcycle was deafening.

The rocky, natural ramp came at him faster than he could have ever expected. Was it always that big? And tall? Too late. Aandes careened over the fence at a dangerous speed, using the feature to its fullest.

Sinter was almost there. The throbbing in his shoulder synchronized with the frenetic beating of his heart and shuddering of his lungs. If this guy wanted to head back to the gate controls, they’d have to go through Sinter’s sword first.

Sinter hadn’t counted on the dust. The land the base was sitting on was solid, but just as dry as the rest of the goddamned desert. The dust cloud swept up by the motorcycle hit Sinter like a force of nature. He stumbled back, blinded and choking. Frantically, he wiped at his eyes and mouth. By the time Sinter got his eyes cleared, he found himself standing in a dark shadow. He looked up.

Aandes was airborne. The maniac had jumped from one of the canyon’s rock formations over the ******** fence. Sinter watched dumbly. There was no way they could pull off such a ludicrous stunt on such uneven terrain. It just wasn’t possible. They were in a military base.

Sinter ran up to the closed gates and rattled them with all the strength he had left.

”HOW DARE YOU! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING!? WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE GOING TO ACCOMPLISH! YOU’RE JUST A BUNCH OF VIOLENT, PETTY THUGS!” Sinter screamed and with one last shake, brought his head against the fence. The metal links dug into his forehead. He’d been relegated to a filthy, screaming madman. God he had to tell someone what had just transpired—he was in the intelligence division after all. This needed to be reported.

Sinter slumped against the fence.

The thrill of his life only lasted a few seconds before Aandes' hit the ground. His form was perfect, but the speed was too great and the angle too harsh. The cycle tipped and toppled, throwing Aandes over. His shock made him limp (a fortunate situation at the very least) and he rolled across the soft dirt that cut against his skin like diamonds. He'd probably broken a rib. His whole body felt like one big bruise as he was laid out on the sand next to his bike, and he blacked out.

When Aandes woke up, the dust had cleared. He'd fallen behind a bluff just moments before. He jolted up and immediately regretted the action, feeling his abdomen rebel against him. The bike... Aandes made another quick movement to drag himself to his bike. It had cut itself off, but it didn't look too banged up. There wasn't time to inspect it now (or mourn, for that matter). He started the engine and took a huge sigh of relief. There was a little bit of a clinkety clank here and there, but the wheels spun and the tank was full. He adjusted his helmet and steeled himself to drive into the desert, expecting the worse. If everything else failed... Maybe he could come crawling back.

Aandes disappeared into the desert.
