Cassidy Winters The Aerobic Cat of Team Onyx♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧ Cassidy looked to the Native American man, and then back to the cat woman. "Ah... So I wasn't imagining the giant silent man? Weird I thought I was in one of my fantasies." Cassidy asked, giving him a weird look when he sniffed her. "The bloody hell do you think your doing?" she asked as she side stepped away from him. She didn't like the look she was getting from him, and didn't like how he was creepily judging them. She looked back to Echo, and shrugged her shoulders. "Okay... Well... He's doing his own thing." Cassidy made a motion with her hands indicting his 'thing'. Then came more awkward silences before Cassidy asked, "Do you speak, or do you usually stand there?"♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧

Shiriki's motions were that of the natural movement of wispy shadows--flowing into the next motion with little resistance from outside interactions , but suddenly he flinched as Cassidy referred to his actions, he looked towards the blonde hair woman who inquired about him---he turned to her. Towering over her. His eyes seemed more like that of a ghost, ethereal and piercing, he opened his strong jaw and spoke "....I do" His voice was surprising deep and had the air of a gravel. "And I can hear you. Well" He cupped his ears noting her comments "Your dreams. They are weird." They way he spoke he slightly paused between the thoughts that made them. English wasn't his first language. He understood it, enough so to have conversation, but he was always behind the curve. "Students should be careful. Lots of animals. Lots of ways to get hurt. Alice would hate that." He commented on their carefree nature with little care, as if he was reading from Alice's own words written in his mind. He looked to the two Love Birds once more. He slightly paused. Noting the animal auras that existed in this space were interesting. He sniffed the air once more. He began shouting his own language once more, it was wild untamed and free. He held his fingers into the air and snapped. As if he was calling a stead. Suddenly from the bushes and symphony of barks were heard. Yet they were no dogs. These were Dire Wolves. Once thought dead wolves, they were massive and well fed by the looks of them. They jumped into the playground like husky pups waiting for their father-owner's acceptance and handouts. Shiriki looked that at the beasts for a moment. Then to Echo and Cassidy.
"Names. My job is to protect school while you learn. I must learn your names" He said as he petted and calmed his hounds in which they oblige perfectly out of some sort of reverence for the hunter ┕▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭⊰⋘╢▣╟◄━━━━━┙xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx || "With power that you silence the clamor, silence the night by freeing yourself of humanity's shackles. ↡ Avak Krii ↡ Team Nova ↻═══━━━━━━┈┈┈┈┈┈┈━━━━━═══↺ ✺ Avak finally caught up to where the other woman was on the first tier of the structure. He took a deep breath and puffed it out relieved that he could manage climbing after all. He felt slightly winded, but all together just fine. Until he saw the Dire Wolves below. Any normal person would have been terrified, but Avak... just felt curious. He knew what they were, but not how they were there. They should have been extinct. Avak studied the beasts carefully before looking to the man who seemed to be their master. Must be because were in Russia. The man with the deep, gravelly voice stated that he wanted everyones names. So he worked here? Avak felt suspicious, but there was no other information to go off of. He was in a new place, with way too many unfamiliar faces. It was best to keep playing along with everyone till he was comfortable with all the knowledge he had gathered. "Umm. Hi. I guess I'll go first. My name is Avak. Avak Krii. Nice to meet you all I suppose." He called down and gave his three new companions a half-smile; his eyebrows raised quizzically at the situation he walked into. He probably should have just stuck around in the dorms. She wondered briefly if the blonde couldn't differentiate between reality and her thoughts, and was interested if she had some mental illness. Or, Echo reasoned, she was probably speaking in the sense of a joke. That'd be interesting.
The lioness watched as the man sniffed the air, and how Cassidy stepped away from him quickly. She was obviously agile in nature, and Echo wondered if she could choose to race her. Maybe another time, she thought once again as her nostrils were filled with the rancid smell of wolves. She had only read of such large beasts in fantasy novels, and chalked it up to nothing more than 'magic school'. She finally realized that the man was some type of caretaker, wanting to keep the students safe and she smiled down at him.
The boy from earlier had finally gotten to the first tier with her, and her black locks fell from the ledge of platform as she turned her head sideways to look at him. When he introduced himself, Echo swung her body so she was now sitting on her butt and her strong legs dangled over the first tier.

Cassidy Winters The Aerobic Cat of Team Onyx♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧ Cassidy jumped further back when she was looked at again by the huge man. "Uh-huh... Glad that you can." she said shivering at the voice. Honestly it was something she expected and not at the same time. "It's called making a joke. I don't actually dream of men that look like you." the blonde said with a smirk. Though she noticed how he had a deep accent, and assumed that English wasn't his first language.
"Well... Wouldn't want that." she said when he told her to be careful, and that Alice wouldn't like it. "No worries..." she said when she saw the dire wolves come out. "Okay you made your point." Then came someone new. He looked tired... At least to her he did. "I'm Cassidy Winters... Now I believe it's your turn." Cassidy said before placing a hand on her belly. She felt hungry all of a sudden. "... I need food..." she whispered to herself. She wondered if she had a banana or something.♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧

Shiriki noticed Avak's interest in the beast--his eyes looked towards Avak's own curious gaze from above. His deep pools of black, stared back at the boy. Almost sending a message of 'I see you too' . As he nudged the hungry muzzles trying to gain audience with their master, he listened to the various introductions. Echo's the most. However it wasn't a physically noticeable reaction. More a click inside his head The wolves a had weird air about them, almost a sense of self awareness. An admirable intelligence for a canines. However the boy's interest in them was something Shiriki noted this. Click.
He didn't change the stoic stone face he came in with, maybe it even worsened as Cassidy asked him for his. He didn't like sharing his name. Felt like bad luck. Something of superstition to his people.
"Names are important. My name is sacred, my people's belief does not like it. To speak of one's name. It is one we are given at birth and one we die with. Unspoken by winds. Spoken by our mothers and elders. Given to death." He pulled a slab of bloody meat from his pouch, fat and all. He tossed the red flesh over the boundaries of the playground. The wolves reverting to primal beasts and chasing after it. His evasiveness to the question was explained. While he did hold it religiously he was a rather paranoid person, he wanted good luck for his hunt.
"Sorry. I must say that mine can't be spoken. I go by the name, Mr. K" He said with a defeated tone, as if he didn't choose the title himself. "I don't like it. Better than angering spirits. So I use it." He removed a small canteen from his belt, drinking from it.
Water. Shiriki wasn't into much of it. However inside the canteen was assorted herbs and unnoticeable additives to assist in his hunts. Boosting his awareness. Along with a small relaxant to aid the muscles and soothe the nerves

Netami's fingers twitched in response to the angel suddenly pulling her hand to her chest. He bit his lip, his question still filtering through the air and suffocating him. He was stupid, he shouldn't have asked anything. The undeniable audacity that he exuded in that one simple question was ridiculous. Of course she wouldn't say her name, a name was something precious, something that should be held to one's chest.
And yet...
Aria. It was so beautiful, so eloquent, Netami's breath caught in his chest again as it was uttered. A smile burst forth from his lips, his breath with it as he sighed with relief, and all too soon he felt a rumpus laugh expelling from his lungs. It was all so ridiculous! How had he been so lucky to find the one thing he had been looking for since he built that computer in his home? How much had he been mulling over actually meeting the black angel? And now, of all places, she was here floating just opposite him. And she looked just as happy to see him as he did her.
His eyes widened, his breath gulping back as he realized he had not given her his name. "N-Netami," he breathed, his Icelandic accent sounding so different than hers. It was not harsh, like any of the Icelandic native tongue, and he hoped that his name sounded just as beautiful as his opposite.
"Would... would you like to play?" he said, indicating the open sky and not to those stuck on the ground below them. His wings beat slightly, relaying his message clearly.

She looked over again to the groundskeeper, interested in his abstinence of giving his name. She had her in ancient lore it was bad luck to tell others something so precious as the name. She tried to remember what her grandmother used to tell her and she smiled at the man.
"To call a thing by its name is to know its reason in the world. To call a thing falsely is to put out one's own eyes," she said, her gaze never leaving the man's. "Mr. K, I think that is a very good policy."
She watched as the wolves devoured the meat, and she was happy to know that she was higher than they for fear of them coming after her. She wasn't able to shift into her full form yet, and she doubted she could outfight them, but Echo knew she was stronger than she looked and even then that of a bear. She cocked her head as she watched the groundskeeper take a swig from his bottle, and her nose sniffed the air as the scents raised up. As Cassidy left the group he stayed in his stone-faced stoic demeanor, unchanging and still. His strong features were that of a man, not a boy. The clear stark difference between him and the younger teen males were apparent. Echo's gaze towards him made him wary of the girl's interest in him. Something irked him, about the curiosity the girl had towards him and his wolves.
"They are like family. Be kind to them. They will be kind in return young Echo." He said with a more...warmer voice. He referred to the wild beast as family. Thinking that it would make a nice face for him in the long run. He didn't mind it all that much, they all had the same taste for flesh. "It is herbal. Allow me to see better. Born with bad eyes." The native american clarified the liquid to her "Elders made it for the weak children. Made us...." He halted trying to find the words "Equal Hunters. Tastes good."

Being kind to animals always did well for Echo, and yes lions were the kings and queens of the animal kingdom, but the wolves still scared her. It was not because of their size, or their formation, but because of how ravenous they were. She had never been up close to animals that were so intent on killing, and one wiff of her might send them over the edge to attack, or to follow her every command. She rather did not wish to find out.
Her ears perked as an announcement rang out across the fields. It was already afternoon, and classes were starting at that very moment. Her eyes widened and she dug her elongated nails into the wood of the first tier. Swinging herself off it, she allowed her body to drape down as she clung onto it, before letting go and falling elegantly onto the grass below. Being so close to the man she had been talking to seemed strange, but she nodded to him before smiling.
"I'm sorry, I hope to talk soon! I have to get to class, you understand. Bye!"
She waved toward the man, and to the boy on the first tier, before running to the door and out of the portal.

She still couldn't quite pinpoint where his accent could place him in the world, but somehow that made his presence seem all the more surreal to her. "Netami.." The utterance of his name was quiet, but audible enough to tickle her ears as it whisped away with the wind, bringing forth the distant scent of freshly spilled blood. Normally she would be concerned, but with a careful eye and the after-odor of musky fur, it didn't take long for her to piece together that the coppery odor came from perhaps the apparent hunter's catch from down below. Though the wolf-like beasts and their master kept her wary, Aria kept her focus mainly up in the clouds with her winged counterpart. Those stuck on the ground weren't her concern at the moment, for now she had someone else besides the day to day creatures to share the skies with her.
Aria's teal orbs then widened at his proposition, an almost excited smile drawn across her face. Her heart pattered with absolute delight, did he just ask to play? It would normally be odd for teens their age to divulge in such a simple request often asked of children, but she felt a child-like giddiness in hearing him ask as such. His words felt so gentle against her ears as his stare looked just as wide-eyed and in awe as her own; why being in his presence felt so familiarly at ease puzzled her, though she had gone without such a comfort for too long to care. So, without another word, she gave a powerful thrust before twisting into a single spiral a little ways past him, She was almost too excited to speak, so her antsy back and forth between him and the open sky wouldve had to suffice as a proper answer for the time being.

---Shiriki shifted about the grounds as he noticed the girl leave. His instincts scanning echo's leave. The idea of a cat girl must have been appealing to some in other ways, but to Shiriki it was different. New vantage point new eyes to look through. Nothing felt better to shift into another form, yet know that you were the same being in mind. The sense of spirituality was not lost on the man as it was clearly etched into his body with his complex tattoo of long winded tales of his family and his own hardships. However since he was the cultural knowledgeable last of his kind, he had no stories to tell of these endeavors. And he was thankful for it. The less open mouths the better. Shiriki wondered about his clan's actions and unison form of his aura's nature. Its strange form and structure. Nothing akin to its uniqueness and shared states. However Shiriki did not dwell on this. He did not dwell on the fact of hunting in the past. Now he focused on the future. He wandered the the grounds and suddenly reaffirming his gaze at the two, winged people. Many a missionary had tried to reach his family through Catholicism--a religion he didn't care for. Christianity was not his suit and the monotheistic belief perturbed him to no end. Such as stark black and white foundation of morality made him pity the missionaries. There was no middle. No life. No gray and no vibrancy. No colors of the wind or creatures that existed along side and not above.
Shiriki has seen this in the European travels he did and it only reaffirmed his belief in his own religious and cultural heritage. Not for he believe in it with zealotry, but to Shiriki it was all he knew. All the made sense in this world came down to the voices of the wind. Men pray for good hunt and not for the hunt of others. There was no sin in competing nor was their in forcing your will. It was all strange to him.
And how sensitive they were outside his lands. The lands they took from his family. However once he reached Europe's virgin lands. So few and so harsh. They claimed so much. Just like his lands. Not communication. However that straight hypocrisy, God did not give homes. He gave the animals. He gave men the way to build his own weapons and not to mass produce them. He did not give metal monuments. Housing fragility. It was something that made the man doubt the missionary's words.
They were given everything. And sought everything. Yet competed for nothing! Shiriki disdained this. He remembered a man just like him on his travels. He lead a clan of his own. They were strong and powerful. And they sought a world of their own. They decided to fight the whole world. Shiriki admired that. Shiriki would fight the world too. His beliefs. His family. He would fight to do whatever he wanted to do. What was wrong with fighting for the freedom you were given a birth, only to scolded once you move away this normalcy.
Shiriki leaped to the top of the playground. Staring at the two birdfolk. Making note of them. The black wing and the white wing. He scoffed as he balanced on the frame of the ceiling.
"You two. Head to class. Or I will force you" His voice boomed. As if it shook the entire structure with little effort. He had his arms crossed and eyes appeared to become otherworldly. As if his will was bleeding through and commanding them The snarl of wolves and hounds echoed in the background as birds and the local fauna screeched.
As if something was caught. "Go. To. Class." with that final moment came a new sensation that enter the grounds. A more darker...choking feeling. As if the overwhelming darkness that the abyssal pools of his pupils gave off. It was not voiced normally, it was if instincts told them to those who listen to move. That sinister feeling of hair raising coldness and stench of decay.
Shiriki's shadow loomed and was cast over the children in the playground stayed there. As if night had touched this part of the playground. Yes. Shiriki had the will. The will to command. The will to invoke his desire. His freedom onto others. That was his purpose. Freedom. His Freedom.
And what he chose to do with it. Well that was his choice... ┕▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭▭⊰⋘╢▣╟◄━━━━━┙xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx || "With power that you silence the clamor, silence the night by freeing yourself of humanity's shackles. " ||

That was, however, until he heard the whistling breath of a man below them. It was easy to hear him, even over the harsh wind in their ears, and suddenly Netami stopped. He was huffing slightly, looking down with his raptor vision to see the man standing at an interesting vantage point to them, and he looked over to Aria.
"I think we should go," he said unhappily. "I'll.. find you at dinner."
He was hopeful, truly hopeful for a change, and he suddenly angled himself downwards as he did a backflip in the air and catapulted toward the door.

The hot skin over her shoulder blades pulled tautly over her muscles as the girl excitedly fluttered after the white-winged boy. The image of his flying form piercing the vast expanse of light set before them like some horrible, ironic tease, but for the moment, she was enjoying herself. Feeling the air whistle through her rigid feathers, hearing the exhilarated ruffle of Netami's wings speaking in a language that those of the avarian kind could only seem to comprehend.
And yet, that pure, weightless feeling fell like stone as the sour smell of curdled blood wafted her back into reality. The cacophonous echo of noise jostled the blackwing to a stop, leaving her to hover idly high above the source it resounded from. Her blue orbs frantically searched for a face to plant the voice upon; she needed to see the belly of where such things erupted if it meant calming her trembling bones, til finally she caught eye of the hulking figure. The blonde took note of the snarling muzzles rolling in the wake of his demands, but a quiet fire in her gut prompted her body to tense into a less than submissive stance. Force her? The same need to push back pulsed in her veins as she had felt in the face of Julianne's rage the day before. Teacher or not, something of his demands tempted her to defy..
The gentle utterance of the boy's voice soothed her ears, if only for a moment. But her gaze remained fixated on the man below, as if he would vanish if she dared to look away. "I'd like that.." she breathed, at least now she had something to look forward to that night. "See you tonight, Netami." Whether it was the odd rebellion bubbling in her gut or not, those simple parting words felt strange leaving her lips. But with her ivory counterpart gone, she could take a moment to observe the presence of the man properly. There was something about him that struck something...primal, within her; he screamed of a predator, and although the sensible part of her knew to keep her distance, the animal coursing through her detested the thought of rolling over and exposing underbelly.
Her piercing stare looked him over as she presented him a defiant, billowing thrust of her blackened wings, briefly opening the avarian language to the man if only to whisper her acknowledgement of him and her understanding of his place on the food chain. To understand, but yet to accept in her heated youth. An unspoken exchange that ended with her swift escape through the portal, as the odd combative temptation left with it.
