The blast began and all Vyren did was shoot back a small amount of fire and the plant magic dissipated into nothingness. A smirk grew on the Firani's face as he found an opportunity to blast off a small bit of fire towards the Ysali Khehora.
Meanwhile, Odette began to come back into consciousness with the efforts of both the light and water healers at their disposal. Evesi just burst out with tears of joy when she awoke. Small moans were all Odette could produce for the moment.
"Oh thank the gods," Lazarus began. "Just relax. I'm sure you'll have a headache for a little bit. I hope Vyren calms down soon and we can all just go our separate ways. I'm so sorry for this. He has a temper."
Through a tear stained face, Evesi spoke. "Yes, I know what you mean. This one here has gotten us into trouble before. Thank you, sir, for all of your help, and I, too, am sorry she has such a mouth on her. Hopefully this will be a learning experience for her."
"Don't talk about me like I'm not here," Odette stated as she rolled over to one side, trying to sit up. "Ugh. My head is pounding."
"Well, you did fall down and hit your head on a rock. But we were able to stop the bleeding and heal you up."
"Dette, relax. Lay down and take it easy. The Dovaa was just proving a point. I don't think he meant to hurt you," Evesi demanded. She just wanted this entire ordeal to be over with, and she knew that it was Odette's mouth that got them into trouble in the first place.

After a few moments more of the squabble, Alduin was tuckered out and he stopped fighting completely. "You...win," the Orakovan uttered between huffing breaths.
Vyren smirked. "Of course I do. Now, hopefully this Orderite friend of yours realizes what a brat she really is before you guys really get yourselves hurt."
Alduin's eyes just narrowed. He knew that this Dovaa was right. Had Odette not started throwing out words and being on the offense so readily, none of this would have even happened.
Odette finally began feeling better and she stood up. "Hmph. I could have beaten you, you know," she said.
Vyren raised a brow. "First of all, if you were ever going to beat me, you'd have to practice a lot more and not have such a smug attitude. You're lucky I was contained. I could have done a lot worse."
Lazarus just stood up, a bit peeved at the whole situation. "Well thank Abronaxus you didn't. You could have really hurt her and these others."
"You're not seriously going to defend her, are you?" Vyren huffed. "She's the one who started this s**t."
"Yes, but you're the adult, Vyren. Start acting like it. You can't just go off on every person who thinks they're a badass to 'teach them a lesson'," Lazarus began in a hushed tone to his comrade, turning his attention to Odette and Evesi. "Again, I'm really sorry for all of this. I think it was just a huge misunderstanding and I think we should just calm down and move on."
"I second that." The mage stood up and shook off her skirt before picking up her staff and narrowing her eyes at her companions.
Odette huffed a bit.
Alduin nodded in agreement.
Nelareth just watched the entire thing play out from his hiding spot behind Lazarus.
"I think it's time we get going," Lazarus suggested.
With a roll of his eyes, Vyren nodded in agreement and put his arms behind his head and turned to walk towards the forest.
"Wait," Odette said, holding her arm out to the other group, taking deep breaths. "You're right. I'm...sorry...that I jumped down your throats. I get a bit defensive and mouthy now and again. If I'm ever going to be in the Order's Guard, I should probably watch my mouth. You, Firani Dovaa, are an excellent battler. I hope to be as good as you one day."
A smile grew upon the Dovaa's face. "Well, glad you came around. Maybe we'll fight again one day. Training is very important, especially to a guard. I'm Vyren by the way; and this Peisio here is Lazarus. Nelareth is the bug over there," he stated.
Nelareth simply narrowed his eyes at Vyren's comment and turned to the attention of the others. "I am very glad you're okay, miss. Please don't mind the hot head over here."
Vyren's neck snapped to glare down at the Khehora who looked up at him with a smirk.
Lazarus had a smile upon his face as well before he spoke. "Well, I'm glad we can all say it's water under the bridge, yeah?"
Evesi nodded with a smile.
Alduin followed suit.
Odette even cracked a smirk and threw out a hand as well as an introduction. "Nice to meet you guys. I'm Odette, this is Evesi and Alduin."
The mage waved when her name was told and Alduin simply bowed his head.
"Maybe we'll meet again one day. Take care, Vyren, Lazarus, and Nelareth."
"And same to you three," Lazarus said with a smile before bowing his head.
With that, the six parted ways. A lesson learned on each side. Hopefully they would cross paths again one day, each thought. The tides had turned so suddenly for them all, but it ended the best way it could have possibly ended. With friendship and good vibes.
