"It's a terrible trait Lorne!" She laughed, "You need to fix it! If you keep telling me how wonderful I am, then it'll make me have a huge head!" She made her hands go up, as if it was showing her head size that had grown.
"It is! Auguste is so cute! You guys really need to meet, because he speaks french." She stared, "And you speak french. Some kind of cultural best friends or something. Plus Colin likes him." She winked.
"Your schedule!" She looked over to the phone, reading the list and then stopping. Her heart warmed, and she stared at it.
"Intro to russian." She murmured, "My love, you are going to be learning all about Russian with me." She looked up at him, smiling. "I can't.....wait"

He bit back the urge to laugh. He was failing. "But if I tell a lie, don't you know... " Lorne pressed a hand to his face and then drew it away, pointing in the air with a flourish of his index finger. "My nose will grow. It's true. I'm cursed to forever be a terrible, awful liar." It was terribly lame and silly. But it was comfortable, and it was said without hesitation or embarrassment.
Maybe because by now, the long list of things he could be embarrassed by - with Nadia, so many had already happened. So somehow the smaller things didn't seem so daunting anymore. Lorne was becoming more true to himself by the day, and he could only hope Nadia still liked what she saw.
Lorne pressed his hand over his mouth to suppress another laugh. "Yes? - because we're both French, is that so?" She was so delightfully - well, Nadia about it. "But yes, yes, I would love to meet him - and I'd really love to meet Pasha, " because of course Lorne would be better with animals than people, wouldn't he?
That, though, yup - he did blush over the schedule thing. "I just thought it might be good since - " Since he'd like to be with her for awhile? Since he'd like her to be able to express herself even more freely? Because he loved the way she sounded when she spoke it? " - please, teacher, " he finished with a sheepish, but warm smile. "And please don't teach me all the dirty things first."

Nadia thought about it a moment.
"This is true." How did she argue with him, he was right! "Will it?" She looked at it seriously, as if it was a very serious matter before waving her hand. "Nonsense, You are not Pinocchio! That'd be a little weird don't you think, for the romancing part?" She laughed.
She made a small yawning sound, and then another laugh. "Because you are both french and that's IMPORTANT." She looked over at him, "He's gonna teach me all the words to embarrass you. Or something like that. He's really a darling, he reminds me of one of my younger brothers." One of the triplets.
"You would love to meet the puppy. I see you have eyes for only the cute things Lorne! Baby animals, pah!" She teased and then laughed. His blushing quieted her down and she sighed happily.
Seriously, Lorne was too good for her.
"I will teach you only the dirty things first." She stopped, standing up in front of him and placing her hands on his chest. She leaned up so she was level with his ear before whispering, "Я вас к моей кровати и пошел на хуй, если бы я мог, Лорн"

He scrunched his nose a little for dramatic effect - he could be subtly theatrical, with the right people - and flashed her another smile, yellow eyes bright with the faintest touch of mischief. "Only if I lie to you. Then I'd deserve it, wouldn't I?" Omissions were one thing; it was easy to do when he slipped into silence like a blanket. But no, he would not outright lie to her, never, nose or not.
He tried again to press his hand to his lips to stifle the sound of his laughter, but it slipped between his fingers like water, musical and light. "Oh please no - " His free hand rose and fell, brushing against her arm. "You make me blush enough!"
When his laughter had subsided, Lorne smiled at her sweetly as he dropped his hand from his face. "That must be nice - I know you miss them, " and he wondered if it was maybe a little too bold just to say it like that, a splash of color lighting his cheeks. "I just mean, uh, I'm happy you found a friend like that. I can't wait to meet him."
Again, here and there, Lorne could be a little playful, in his own way. "Yes, I do, " and he leaned down to press his lips to her cheek, lingering there for a moment before easing away. "For certain, only the cute things."
Sometimes, their relationship was like a roller coaster - not because they argued or anything like that, no. It was moments like these, shifting from sweet and playful to this sensuality that Nadia innately had, hands on his chest and whispering something into his ear with teasing puffs of her hot breath. And he shivered, his hands falling almost instinctively to her waist, almost falling away, but ultimately staying where they were even as his cheeks burned.
"W-what... " He blinked once, then again, licking his lips. "What did you say?" he asked in a whisper.

"No?" She smiled again, "But wouldn't it be just the funniest. I think I could get a real kick out of it. I could tease you! Endlessly!" She made a evil laugh sound, playing with her fingers while looking at him. She was feeling particularly playful today.
"I can't wait either, when your schedule is free, I'd like you and Colin over for dinner so we can all meet and hang out." She rested her chin in her hand. "I can make something simple like chicken."
"I'll tell you when I master Russian." She winked, turning a corner towards another part of the school. "You might die of embarrassment." Or he could melt into a puddle of goo.
And wasn't he was so tantalizing licking his lips like that.

"You say that like it's not something you do already, dear, " and he generally didn't opt for terms of endearment - the right one never did seem to come around, and Nadia itself was such a beautiful name - but he was trying to use it in a way that was playfully deliberate and he was trying not to over think it. Lorne's cheeks burned on anyway (because of course he did), but it was okay because he was laughing again at her maniacal cackling.
He thought about it for a second, humming to himself with a musical little lilt - his show choir days were over, yes, but traces of it still clung to him, even if he didn't realize it. "I don't have classes in the evenings, " a completely deliberate move, "And they don't start for another few weeks - and no one's called me back yet - " Because yes, he'd actually tried to apply for a few jobs, for all the good it did him. " - so any time is good for me, really."
Although there was one thing, but - nothing was definite yet. He could tell her all about Kyle when the time was right, and when he had some more details, he would. "Also, your chicken is anything but simple - it's phenomenal, " because he would never not smile and relish it when Nadia made something. Everything tasted better when she made it. (Yes, he was biased, but she really was a great cook!)
He followed along and made a bit of a face, "Nadia, " he called after her imploringly, although he doubted he'd get anything more from her - still, the burn in his face was lighter and more pleasant, even as he caught up and gingerly took her hand.

She turned around, stopping him in their walk and placing hands back on his chest. She looked up fondly, at him.
"Your evenings are free, you say?" She smiled, "I want to have lots of them. For me." She paused.
And then drew his head down to hers, laying her lips on his with an almost teasing pressure.
"Yes Lorne?" She murmured against his lips.

He stopped just short of bumping into her, his eyes briefly wide and puzzled - then not so anymore as a pleasant, subtle redness that was from pleasure rather than being flustered or embarrassed trickled onto his cheek, and he smiled, toothily, reaching up to cradle her cheek in the palm of his hand.
"As many as you like, " he promised her, and really, as much as he didn't want to rely on his parents, she was a big reason he was grateful to have as much free time as he had. Even if he didn't have it, he would have gladly made it for her.
He didn't stiffen when she tugged him down for the kiss, didn't flounder or start, only drew in a short, sharp breath through his nose, and the same breath shook as he exhaled in the wake of her burning lips. "What did you say?" he tried again, his lips brushed against her's as he asked.

"Good." She murmured, wrapping arms around his neck and pressing with need against him. It was getting harder she thought, then to just casual embrace him and move on. She wanted kisses and touches, to be intoxicated on them.
To drown in them.
Her lips crooked up, as he teased her. She took his hand and led it to her hip.
"I would take you to my bed and ******** you, if I could, Lorne." She whispered, "Я бы показать вам, что мир, если вы хотите..."

Lorne shut his eyes when she pressed against him, and it was okay. It was okay to enjoy the feeling of her body against his, it was okay to admit that to himself that he liked it. He didn't have to feel awkward or unsure about it, ashamed of how his body reacted to her's.
He offered no resistance when she guided his hand, his fingers curling at her hip and a shiver traveling up and down his spine at what she said; yes, she'd hinted at it, yes, she'd made it clear they were going down that path from the beginning, just -
- it was the first time she'd said it to him like that. That, and the string of Russian that followed, it made him burn all over - not just blushing, no - she'd be able to feel what she did, not for the first time. "Nadia, I - " His heart fluttered like the wings of a small bird, and for a moment, he was tongue-tied. He didn't want to be. But nerves and something else grappled inside of him, because he was still afraid, afraid of things he knew might be completely irrational, completely baseless.
But they might not be. They might be real and destructive and she'd look at him differently than she did now.
Still, he - it wasn't like he didn't want - "Je adore la façon dont tu me fais, " he sighed out. It was easier to speak in the tongue he knew she wouldn't understand; he couldn't push open the door on his own, but there was a window. Somehow, that made it easier. "Could I - could we - maybe - could I - come over, after... "
He wished he wasn't blushing so hard, that the words would come more smoothly. But at least he tried, at least he managed to say something at all. Lorne slid a hand, soft but sure, along her back, and hoped she understood. It didn't have to be sex, just - maybe - something? Yes. He wasn't sure what yet, but he could handle something. He was okay with it.

She was, extremely pleased by all of his responses. Where she was cool and relaxed, he burned hot and passionate. Even if he didn't grope at her, rip at her, she could feel that underlining strength.
She felt the heat, and the immediate response through him all the way. Her hands glided down him, and over the baggy clothing. She was in no means, turned off by it.
"I love when you speak french to me." She whispered, shivering in his hold. "and yes." She held his face.
"I'll kick Auguste out tonight, send him over to Colin's." She hoped her best friend wouldn't mind.

The fact that she wanted to be near him at all in a black sweatsuit was really a testament to their relationship, wasn't it?
He loved making her shudder, too, even if he might never come out and say it - some part of him suspected that she knew, though. Knowing her, she did. She was so sensitive to this kind of thing. In comparison, he was...
Nadia's hands on his face both grounded him and wound him up even more, and he looked down at her, and again, excitement and nerves both waged a war inside of him, clawing and winding together into a mess of possibilities that could be amazing or terrible.
Whatever it ended up being, tonight would be different, and he hoped it would be wonderful.
His hand at the small of her back tensed and then relaxed, curling and uncurling in the fabric of her shirt - and Lorne leaned down, maybe a little abruptly, catching her lips in a kiss. It was short, yes. But it was not tentative. It was not shy. It was not demanding, no, but it was insistent, precise, impassioned - and then gone, with Lorne leaning back up again with his face red, but his eyes still on her.
"Good, " and he felt a little embarrassed for saying it, because who said that about someone getting kicked out of their house? Still, he flashed her a small smile, fidgeting again with the back of her shirt as he cleared his throat. "I - good."

"Good" She murmured, reeling from the kiss still. She, thought of just how he did it. How did he do it? How did he keep her there guessing and waiting and pressing and wound up.
She felt so wound up, like a jack in the box and she was gonna pop at any moment.
So she stepped back and took his hand, "I still have to show you the bookstore...." She breathed in and tugged him towards it. "Jesus Handsome, Getting me all bothered before we make it home."
She was pacing herself a little bit faster, as the bookstore came within sight and she laughed. "That. That is what we are after at the moment."

Lorne was the master of getting himself worked up over every little thing. He thought too much and too hard over the small things, and flung himself too hard without thinking at all when things got severe enough. That was just how he operated, and he was trying to change it.
When it came to this, though, being physically drawn to someone - it wasn't that he didn't feel it (and Nadia knew probably better than anyone how much he did), but he was used to keeping himself subdued. He could go from blushing furiously and moaning (much to his shame) one moment to smiling pleasantly with a faint pink hue on his cheeks the next. He was growing into his attraction for Nadia, becoming more comfortable by the day, but he was a master of self-control in his own space. (A big part of the reason why it was so utterly offensive to him when certain people invaded it.) It wasn't something he was aware of, just another facet of his personality that he took for granted.
That's how he was able to laugh as lightly as he did, squeezing her hand and maybe almost, almost, just the tiniest little fraction of him enjoyed getting under her skin a little - even if he'd never actually admit it. "So there it is, " he remarked with a broad smile, squeezing her hand again. "This campus, it's so... big, " and it was stating the obvious, yes, but it was worth stating. "Even the bookstore is huge."
He glanced at her through his hair, still damp, and flashed her a thankful smile. "Thank you so much for showing me where it is - I'm - very grateful for you, you know, " and he blushed a bit as he said it. "I know I've said it before, but really. I am."

She made a distressed sound at Lorne before sighing.
"So there it is." She pushed him gently towards it. "Off you go handsome. Make sure you get everything you need." She rose a brow. "I'm gonna take your clothes home to dry and come pick you back up...in a hour? Then we can go back to my place." She wanted to kick Auguste out and clean up a little before he came over.
"I am forever and eternally grateful for you, Lorne." She reached up again and pecked his cheek. "I'll be back in a hour for you."
