Fearing that she had been a little too sharp Ming'we slowed her pace enough so that she could look at Tes for a moment. "Sorry. Temia mentioned my brother but what he didn't say was that we're twins. I've not seen my brother in almost a year." And in that time she'd changed so much. So it made her wonder just how much Minga had changed in that time. "We recently lost our mother and since then things have been .." Ming'we stopped there. Mostly because she wasn't sure how to describe things.

In hearing that Tes was traveling in the opposite direction of her she lifted both brows curiously. "May I ask why?" She thought that Matori came from a tropical region so she was curious as to why one would want to go to one of the coldest parts of Tendaji.

Teslaron hummed softly, a low, thoughtful sound. "I understand missing your siblings," he admitted, gaze flicking toward her briefly before finding it's way to his feet. "My trip has taken me away from the family I've always known." He gave a shrug of his shoulder. "I may not know my real mother, or of any blood siblings I may have, but those bratty Oban kids have always been my brothers and sisters, as far as I'm concerned. Being away from them for... many, many months now, it's a change. It's hard. Sometimes I think I can just go back. Maybe it wouldn't be so different. But people grow up."

"I left so I could impress my boyfriend with something amazing when I returned." He didn't feel the need to mention that his boyfriend was one of the alleged 'brothers' he had back in Oba. "So, I can't go back until I accomplish that. I can't return until I've something to show for my effort."

He stalled briefly, shifting his weight from one leg to the other. "It does give me something to strive for; something to look forward to. The separation is hard, but I think I'll be a better person at the end. And imagine how satisfying it will be to see him again..." He looked back up to her, amber orbs glinting in understanding. "I don't know your family, though I can expect-" He did a quick once over of her hybrid form. "-that you have your issues. I imagine they'll resolve in time. With some effort."

Missing siblings did hurt a bit more than missing a friend. When Tes went on to tell her his reasons for wanting to visit Zena she smiled at him. "Bring him one of the furs they trade with. They have the best quality." She had lived as a neighbor to Zena up until a year ago so she knew something of what they had there. "It would make a nice gift."

When he looked her over and said that she had her own set of issues Ming'we burst out laughing. It was enough to make her hold on to her stomach. "I'm not sure what you're basing that off, but thanks. I'm sure everyone does. For instance, getting my hair to cooperate in the mornings is next to impossible." Ming offered up a grin as she spoke to him.

Tes gave a soft hum, settling his hands on his hips as he stalled to glance back at Ming'we. "Those furs really must be awfully nice..." He admitted softly. Though perhaps not the best present to bring back to a water-starved desert. And it wasn't personal enough, besides. Though since he was going up into the cold himself, it probably would be nice to stock up on cool-weather gear. The Water male nodded to himself, giving a cluck of his tongue as he moved to catch up with his companion once more.

His lips quirked up at her outburst of laughter. It... hadn't been much of a joke. He simply assumed hybrids had... a different slew of problems than he was accustomed to, but if it didn't bother her that was all the better. He moved ahead of her,turning to face her with a coy grin. "That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard," he replied. "You have beautiful hair. Soft and silky-looking." Not what he'd expect from Alkidike blood at all.

Without much warning, he dipped to the ground, falling to one knee and collecting her hand in his. "Really, I'm very grateful that you took me to meet Temia." He gave a light, fleeting kiss to her knuckles before rising back to his feet. "But I should probably head back... I've still got someone I need to look after, after all."

When Tes moved ahead of her so that he could turn and be in her way she halted, still with a smile on her face. "Well that's because I take good care of it, but trust me.. in the mornings, it's horrible." Ming flashed him a grin and was about to start walking again when he dropped to his knee. The action made her arch a single brow upward. "Wha- oh.." She was rather startled when he kissed her hand, after all she wasn't expecting it at all.

Her cheeks turned colors and she gave a small nod of head. "Of course. I need to start on my journey. I hope you have a safe trip." Ming'we started off, going past Tes, and looked back at him long enough to say one final thing. "If you ever need anything else, tell Temia I sent you." Then with a wave she walked away.
