Looking at the pile of metal which Polaris had gathered up for her she smiled. "Thank you. That'll be easier to remove. I do wish there was a way to replace it." She was sure something from Earth could be purchased, but for how much and from where, and how could she bring it back up here? How would she install it and make it work even. The idea was still there though even as she went looking for any sort of rubbish bin. "I don't think there is a garbage bin around here." She called out, wanting to find somewhere to put the rubbish and be done with it. She wanted to get to cleaning! This place was a mess and needed a serious dusting and cleaning and more.
Bending to pick up a book, rather than stepping over it, Delphi flipped it open and while bent picked up another book to flip open. Noting the markings, text, was the same she stood up and placed both books, now closed, onto the shelf. If only she had a clue what their titles were or what they dealt with she could find their proper places. It seemed like even if she cleaned the place, and bought some replacements, this place would never be as it once was. The chandeliers would sit on the ground and the books would be in the wrong places. It was the best she could do however and that being the best would be done.
her eyes were on the metal, and Polaris, as she bent back down to get more books to re-shelve. Several books this time, she held as many as she could, she started to fill in the shelf. "What should we do with all of that metal?" Where should it go, she wasn't a fan of leaving it in the middle of the floor.

Polaris smiled, offering a soft nod to the thanks. It was literally no trouble at all (even less effort than picking up a broom) and she was happy to try and help how she could. "Maybe they have an extra in storage somewhere? Or one we can take from another building?" She offered thoughtfully when Delphi mentioned replacing it. Things like the everyday maintanence of the star had never really been in the Princess' list of duties even in the past. But maybe they'd get lucky...?
When the other girl mentioned a garbage bin, she could only laugh a little. "I have noticed a few outside some of the buildings." But they were fairly heavy, built to give a look of beauty to try and disguise their actual use. "It might just be best to bring one along next time you come. In the meantime I'll try and do some research and see if I can figure out just what they did with the garbage back then." It was strange, to think she might try to dredge up memories that were so mundane. But they were important questions nonetheless, if they planned on cleaning up the star and if there was to be a wedding up here as well.
The question about the pile of metal brought Polaris' attention back to it and she hummed thoughtfully, lips pursed. Gathering things had been easy enough, but usually the same magic to try and get it out the door could accidentally damage things. And with all the tiny pieces.. trying to guide them one by one out the door with her more precise magic seemed very time and energy consuming. It'd just have to be done by hand she guessed. "We can take it outside for the time being if you like? A place this big has got to have someplace to put the trash?"Sleet Tempest Snape I'm the worst and always forget this section of the forum, so sorry about the terrible wait. crying

"I don't know...if not perhaps something can be found." Perhaps she could purchase something and bring it here? They would need lights here in order to read, certainly at night perhaps during the day as well, but how to get it up there? If she bought something she'd have to make it big, and how to afford that, but likely ask the princess with her to put it in place. The issue than was getting it to work somehow. It was a lot to think about and she would think more about it when she got home, perhaps research it all as well.
Looking around she wondered just how she'd get this place clean and up to her standard. She felt the need to work on cleaning it but more than that she wanted to bring it back to what it had once been or at least as close as she could.
Just as she was reaching out for a book she turned her eyes onto the other. "Yes, we can do that. I'm sure something has to be around for us to toss the metal into." And as she pulled the book from it's shelf, her attention still on the white haired princess, she failed to notice something fall from the book but the sound of something hitting the floor didn't escape the dark haired knight. her eyes focusing now on the floor she bent and picked up what was...a ring? How interesting. Snatching it from the ground she stood and held it up slowly for inspection. "I was going to ask if you could help me...if I could purchase a new chandelier for this room..." She was hoping for some help. Unaware of the planned wedding for here and that perhaps her fixing things would help in some overall thing, making the star look as it should. If she knew about the wedding she would have gone into clean mode and started ranting about how the whole place needed to be cleaned up and things repaired, trips as often as possible in order to do so and each knight Polaris had should pitch in. "Perhaps." She agreed with soft thoughtfulness as Delphi spoke. Though it rose the question - how exactly did electricity work up here? Was there a way to figure out what they had done in the past and replicate it or start it up again? If they could it would be amazing, to have light and heat once more... it'd make things so much easier to clean and explore. But she doubted that was an easy fix, maybe now with two people trying though... perhaps they'd be a step closer.
Her eyes turned softly at the sound of something hitting the floor, a knowing smile spreading across her face when Delphi held it up to inspect it. She'd heard about it time and time again but something about seeing it was amazing... Of all the books in this entire library... That Delphi had picked up the one that nestled her ring. It was like beautiful destiny.
"Of course I'll help you, however I can."
Making her way towards the pile she began to pick up some of the larger pieces, cradling him in one arm to carry outside.

If there was even a chance to restore certain things to this location and elsewhere Delphi was more than willing to help find it. She didn't know why, as it was unusual for her, but she wanted to restore this site as it meant something to her. It was interesting and the background to it was enough to lure the Russian in and hold her in a vice like grip. Another planet, a star yet no burning anything, and a place inhabited by people so long ago and now...nothing but buildings. If it could be restored and enjoyed again, even if only by a few people, she wanted to try it. "It would be good if we could try - slowly." It would take time to clean thing sup and slowly repair things, but she would do it. She would do whatever she could here.
"Thank you. I think we should work together to restore things, here and else where. This should be a second, or third, home - for us both." Did Polaris have other knights like herself? If so than this planet was a home to them as well and they should be found and talked to, see if they wanted to help. Future knights that were yet to come should be able to come to a planet that was clean and cared for once again. This was all new to her, something she had never felt and it was unusual but she was going with it - it felt right.
Books were put onto shelves as she made her way to the junk on the floor which needed to be thrown out and an arm load was scooped up by the squire as she followed after Polaris.

Gathering pieces until her arms were fairly full, she waited on Delphi, before leading the way towards one of the doors. She wasn't thinking about it, but her feet were pulling her subconciously in the correct direction (perhaps a trip she'd made before in the past). And as they stepped outside of a smaller backdoor one of the large metal bins she'd mentioned before waited silently for them. What luck!
Polaris had been.. woefully neglectful of her homeworld for many years. Well.. not the star as a whole, but on the upkeep of cleaning and trying to return it to it's former glory. Perhaps she'd been overwhelmed. It felt less overwhelming however with Delphi's enthusiasm. And when she mentioned it being a second home Polaris smiled widely. It was hard to explain how she felt about the star, but to think that other people felt fond feelings towards it too.. she liked that quite a bit. And it was enough to prompt a sudden thought and statement. "It really is like a second home. My fiancee Niflhel and I are hoping to have a wedding reception up here around the new year. I hope you'll come? You could bring along anyone you wanted to as well, I'll make plenty of food." Maybe it was a premature invitation, but she hoped that she might be in Delphi's good graces again by the time the reception occurred.

Following the other Delphi was surprised to see a large metal bin waiting for them. So they did have a garbage for things, how nice! She was glad to see it and put it to use. What was in her own arms was soon dumped into the bin as she looked to the other and smiled. She wasn't normally a warm person, the nickname winter was fitting for her, but she couldn't help but like Polaris.
"Oh? Of course, I'll be there. We should really work on things than. people may wander around, if you don't ask them not to, as I'm sure they'll want to see the planet." She knew she would want to explore. She wasn't sure what she thought of other people coming here to her wonder and poking about. She was divided on it really. It was her wonder, without a doubt, but she felt it would be a place of awe as well and she wanted it shown off. The state it was in now however...no. It had to be cleaned and properly set up for a wedding!
"I'll make some food as well. But before than we should work on cleaning things up and decorating. I'll help how I can but perhaps we should see if there are other knights who can help as well?" A group effort which might help bring the star up to snuff and make it a truly breath taking place for her to get married at, for her to let others see and perhaps explore as well. "I think it's a good thing - to have the wedding here. It's fitting and feels right." She added with a firm nod of her head. She would have a lot to do to help, to prepare things, but it would get done. "I don't have anyone I'd bring but perhaps I can help with guests who need help getting here." They wouldn't be able to get here on their own so she would help.

Polaris emptied the scraps of metal and debris from her arms into the trash can after Delphi before turning back towards the building. It would probably take a couple of trips back and forth to gather most of the bits from the ancient light but being able to finish one task, even if it was a tiny one in the scheme of things, was the perfect motivation.
The acceptance of her invitation was exciting enough, but when the knight went a step further then that in offering help Polaris could not hide the extra widening of her smile, giving a bit of a excited bounce on her toes. "Right now there is me, my fiancee Niflhel, and my guardian Snowball working on things but I'll take all the help I can get. I just.. didn't want to impose on my knights by asking them, you know. It's not like you guys don't have busy lives of your own or more important things to do other than help me prepare for something as selfish as a wedding." There was a war after all they could be focusing on, instead of something so frivilous. Though in truth Polaris had hopes that the ceremony might actually offer a little more to her guests they simply food. A night of peace and safety, a way to make connections with others and celebrate.
Hands latching lightly around Delphi's arm as they made their way back to fill their arms with more debris Polaris chattered happily - like many a bride to be. "It'd be wonderful if you could help me with transporting people here. I can do it myself of course but depending on the amount of people that actually rsvp it could get very tiring. Not to mention it leaves me less time to get ready. As it is I think we're going to try and set up most of the stuff we can in the days ahead of time. Luckily this star can act like a refridgerator on it's own." She winked with a soft laugh.
"Next time we come up here I'll show you the room we decided on and are trying to fix up. It's in the center of the main city."
"After we see if I can travel close to your wonder first." She added, not forgetting her promise.

It was the first step in cleaning her wonder, she would be coming back as often as she could in order to clean things. She'd just have to not let herself get side tracked and go task by task, rather than starting one task and seeing another and letting it pull her in. She had plans though to clean the place up and perhaps add some new, modern, things to try and help restore some things - like lights maybe.
"I understand. I will help though. It is a wedding and if it's to be here it should involve us, this is our home and yours - all of us." She said with a light smile. This had once been Polaris' home and Delphi's. The planet might belong, though she wasn't sure if that was the proper word to use, to the princess at her side. But she too had once lived here, or someone from her family had. Thus she was involved in this whole thing, and she didn't mind. "A wedding isn't selfish. Everyone is entitled to that, if it's what they want. I've learned that since I started to work at a jewelry store." She said with a bit more of a smile. She had heard enough brides to be and men who were looking to ask the woman in their life. She had heard all manner of things from both genders, separately and together. "How can it be selfish when you're pledging your life to another persons? To be with them and to help them, as they help you, in life? That is giving - not taking." And thus not selfish. No, it was a lot more but she couldn't put it all into words, it wasn't something she ever pictured nor wanted for herself. It wasn't a concept she understood really.
"Yes, we will do what we can and make as much of this planet as we can presentable and I'll help in the set up. You'll have to bring me those times but I'll help in whatever way I can. It is a break from the war which has likely impacted so many - those who have been at it longer." And while she could be as cold as the country her family hailed from she understood such needs. It gave hope, it showed a light within the darkness of war. People had to see that you could, and must, go on living and not let it rule you're life. No. This was a need and she would help. It might help them with this war even by uplifting enough peoples spirits. She didn't say this, she didn't want to deflate the happy bouncing princess at her side, it was something she'd seen so many times before and it was...adorable in a sense.
"Even if we can only clean up and decorate for the wedding. We will get things clean here." And by that she meant Polaris as a whole. She would work on her wonder and help elsewhere as well. If there were other knights so help them if Delphi found them. She would have them up here and cleaning also and restoring what they could, if they weren't already. It wasn't just because this had once been their home but more importantly because this was a place which could help in the future and it was a place of wonder. People stared up at the stars all the time, and this being the brightest, and wondered about them as if they were some mythical, special, things. To be able to travel to a star and find the remains of a civilization on it...it begged to be repaired and brought to some manner of glory - to fulfill the wonder that people on Earth saw.
That focused drive within her wouldn't let it go, wouldn't let her stray from the idea of helping to restore this place and bring it into line with what it should be. She just hoped Polaris could keep up, as Delphi had this in her mind and wasn't about to let it go.Iris_virus Poor Polaris. You have a focused knight on your hands who wants to clean up everything and work on fixing whatever she can. At least you'll have a clean, repaired, planet eventually. Of course she'll respect things and not change anything without asking or discussing. But clean and fixed.

Delphi's kindness, understanding, and offered help was overwhelming, only helping to excite her more. She may have even looked a little starry eyed as the other girl launched into an opinion appropriate of her particular profession, assuring Polaris that she wasn't being terribly selfish and terrible. It was entirely possible that she would be of a solo opinion, that the others wouldn't feel the same way about it. But now, thanks to Delphi, Polaris finally had the feeling that it maybe wouldn't hurt to ask. Even if they were too busy or uninterested - you never knew until you tried. "I'll have to send notes to the rest of the knights and see if they would like to help." She thought aloud, shaking her head afterwards however. "But even if it's just the two of us that's still much better shape then I was in before."
Her smile was so wide it hurt even as she returned to the work of filling her arms with more pieces of debris, her mind already drifting. She could picture it now. A beautiful wedding. And eventually, in time, a beautiful star - cared for and refurbished to better reflect the care and honor in which it's past inhabitants used to hold it in. She wasn't sure if she could completely keep up with Delphi (with patrolling, and school, and all the things it took to be an adult in the world while juggling senshi life) but having such an enthusiastic partner would inspire her atleast to try.Sleet Tempest Snape There are worse problems to have. XD She'll take ridiculously focused over a lazy (shierking all their responsibilities) knight any day. xp

"I hope they will help, if not then we shall do what we can and perhaps see if anyone else would like to. I don't see why they would not want to help though, this is something for all of us as it involves our planet." Yes, theirs. It wasn't just Polaris' home and planet, it belonged to them all. Delphi, the wonder, might be hers to lay claim to but had she lived here? She saw no place to lay ones head nor live so her home had to have been elsewhere - right? Meaning she had ventured from here and claimed more of it - a home elsewhere on this planet. This planet was all of theirs and she would do what she could to help and didn't understand, or simply refused to accept, that anyone would not want to.
"Yes, it is. Having company makes it go faster as well, as it does with any task set before a person. We will do what we can and tidy things up, here and where you plan to have your wedding." She just hoped they had the time to do all of it, and that people showed. She was sure it would hurt Polaris greatly if people didn't turn up, and she didn't want that. While she may be a cold person the other, at her side, clearly was not. For such a cold planet it's princess was a very warm and bright person and it kept Delphi from being as frosty as she could be.
"I wonder...if we do enough here if the planet...or the wonder will help us along some how. I mean if the water will run in the fountain again or the lights, as their are lights on the desks but they don't light up. I wonder if things, in time and with effort by us, will start to work again. It would be nice." She spoke a loud while moving to gather up more to throw away. She would do her best and perhaps in time they would find out, perhaps in time she would come up here and hear a fountain full of water or see lights on through the windows. Yes, she would try her best and perhaps be rewarded for it, something she would tell Polaris as soon as she could.
"Next time we come up here I'll bring food for us. Something Russian." She said slowly, not sure what she would make but already knowing she would do it. Iris_virus I think we can skip ahead a bit and work to end this. Then work on another one with more work done, Delphi has been coming up on her own since this rp after all. ^__^

"I'm not entirely sure how it all works." She mused thoughtfully as Delphi spoke with words of hope. The thought that the star itself would.. help and assist was a strange one, begging the question of just how much of an inanimate object it was. But deep in her heart she knew that there was something there. Something watching out for her. Sending messages. Giving her power when she needed it most. Polaris had felt it from time to time, but never so much as the knight when it aided her the most and unlocked her full powers.
"It seems like strange magic that the lights would just suddenly start working." She mused as she gathered debris and tidied the area she was in, finally laughing a little bit whistfully. "But then... I guess we're all dealing with 'strange magic' nowadays. It wouldn't be the weirdest thing I've ever seen, not by far."
For Delphi's sake she hoped it would work. That if the knight put in as much work as it seemed she was going to, that she might be rewarded in some way for her efforts.
But there was still a lot of work to do and only time would tell.Sleet Tempest Snape Fin? Or time skip in another post to them finishing and leaving?

"No, and it would be a nice sort of magic - better than some we've both encountered." Especially the other, she had been involved far longer and had surely seen and dealt with far more than Delphi had. The magic that was involved in this whole thing was something which would boggle most minds, especially those who believed in science and couldn't prove this or find some theory behind it. To be on a star, something supposed to be burning, but find snow - mountains of it stretching as far as one could see, and buildings. They'd have no answer and it would surely turn into another moon landing conspiracy.
The work she was ready to put in was nothing short of what this place deserved. it had stood the test of time, for how long? Waited perhaps for someone to return and here she was. But more importantly it had meant something - been something so long ago and it had been important. It was part of an ancient civilization that was no more than memories for Polaris and perhaps one day would be memories for herself. It deserved some honor given to it, it deserved to be brought up to some sort of semblance of it's former self.
She continued to clean with the other for some time before finally stopping and deciding to call it - time to go home.
Wiping at her forehead she smiled toward the other. "I think we can call it a day and head home. I'll be back as soon as I can to work more on things. I want to do my best to restore whatever I can here." For herself and for Polaris. It wasn't because the other was the princess of this star, she wasn't serving the other. But perhaps because she felt a kinship to her? This was a place they both had a connection to, not this site in particular but the star as a whole. It was Polaris but, what the senshi was named for, but this piece of it was her's and it was a part of the whole so they both connected to the whole - to Polaris. She felt there should be a friendship or sister like relationship between them...and it was a new and odd feeling for her but it felt comfortable and like she should accept it, with the ease she already was accepting it with.
"I'll bring us home." Approaching the other she offered a hand to her, an offer to bring them home to Earth. She would be back, she would clean and do more. But for today they could call an end to the cleaning.Iris_virus I think we can end it here.
