Kantarou is roughly snapped up by the brutish wolf hollow. His first reaction is of surprise, but it is quickly followed by a hard head boop, which is what it appears that he is doing. That said, it would feel more like he is ramming his head upwards into the wolf's jaw. A delighted purr escapes his chest and he twists himself up and around his new found friend's muzzle and sits upon his nose. "Hello, there~" he coyly trills. "A new friend or a new toy~? What is this?" he asks as he walks up the bridge of the monstrous hollow's nose to investigate this creature. It is large, furry, and reeks of blood. Kantarou grins broadly in that unsettling way only a cat who smells prey could manage. He opens his little maw and exposes some very hollow like fangs and clamps down between the hollow's eyes. A sweet sounding purr trills from the little cat as he continues to deliver love bites to the wolf's face. He kneads, digging in his razor sharp claws as he does so, ignorant to the fact that had this been something more natural rather than preternatural, it would be in ribbons by now. Whether or not he is actually inflicting damage or pain, is rather up to the wolf.

Ahvira's face was rather stoic as she looked onward at the battlefield before her. Slow and steady won the race. She was in no hurry to begin her ascent. She inhaled and exhaled slowly, her face as hard as stone. Her eyes were taking in as many details as possible. Her perch on a ledge of stone a fair distance away from the battlefield gave her a good vantage point and her low amount of reiatsu at this point gave her a good cover what with all of the battling going on. Perhaps she would jump into the fray and perhaps she would not. She was not nearly as hungry as the rest of the Hollow in the area. The dragon-esque creature breathed a breath of cold air as she continued to watch the battle unfold below, eating as much data as she could and wondering what sort of non Hollow that was down there. Definitely a race she had never seen before. Ahvira definitely had picked an ideal location to scout. Perhaps she could latch herself to one of these individuals, though that wasn't generally her style. But until you could force everyone to their knees, you did what you had to in this dog eat dog world, or Hollow eat Hollow perhaps was more appropriate. She would do what she had to, right now and become the woman she wanted to be later. Beggars couldn't be choosers, but they could work to not be beggars any more. Another breath of cold air. She vowed she would not stay like this for long, and the power of the crystal was calling out to her. She hungered for it's power and more than the people below, it held her attention with a force unlike anything she had ever experienced before. But, she was not a fool and knew that she couldn't face several of the beings in this area at the time being. She snorted to herself and lifted her large clawed hand as she crawled away, belly dragging the ground into the deserted lands of the Grande. She would return after gathering and feasting. She would return if it killed her. Something about that stone spoke to her and she would do her best to listen to what it had to say. She felt her thoughts racing and her heart pounding, and she needed a breath of air as much as training.

Kagetane watches all that is going on below from atop of a rock spire while munching on an apple, one of the few human foods that he indulges in, and skimming through a tankoban of Death Note. Honestly, he found the pages to be hilarious, even if most people found it grim and dramatic. Of course, he is the sort of hollow that enjoys watching the world burn, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise that he would take pleasure in this and the battle beneath his feet. A jaunty little hum as he chucks the remains of his apple at the idiot cat below, knocking him clear off of the wolf like hollow in a topsy turvey manner. He leaps down off of the rock and springs off of the side of it with arms out stretched. "Let's play~!" he cries out, not caring a whiff that he has not bothered to learn any skills. A little hand to hand would be fine exercise. The hollow does not care where he lands or upon whom. "Free for alllllllllll~! Let's GO!"

Vanir Upstart Elf - Vanir The power of the Vasto Lorde seemed to eclipse his own so suddenly and the elven commander was left dumb-founded by the sudden burst of reiatsu that left a sense of dread flowing through his body like ice, cold, water. 'Am I going to die here?', he thought to himself in that moment as Achana rushed him and the masked demon of lust and desire drew forth a mighty weapon akin to his own sword, but she was too quick as Lujira ripped through his left shoulder and a strange feeling washed over him as the metal touched him. "My goddess...She's so beautiful.", he spoke out loud. His eyes had glazed over and turned red. He was now under the influence of Achana's spell, the lust aura of Lujira. Once it had cut him, he had lost all will to fight with the object of his tainted desire. He then looked to the others present and they seemed to be friends of his love's so he dared not attack them before he turned on his own and unleashed a wave of arcane energy from his blade, cutting down elves and blanks in it's wake, all in an effort to please the one who had his affection, even if ill gained.
This caused the rest of the elven detachment to retreat; They would hold the line at the portals as they had no clue as to how Achana was controlling their commanding officer and at the same time, they didn't want to stick around to find out least she breach Alfheim and start controlling the nobles. Achana's attack didn't stop there with cutting the elven commander. Sure, she had turned him into her little pawn that was dancing the tune of her design on his tainted will. Lujira had turned him into her little love puppet, but she was furious with him. He could slaughter an entire elf detachment and still have her deepest contempt. He had injured her with a spear of flames, in the form of some ancient spell she had not witnessed before. It felt like a kidou, but it was different than the demon arts, a little more archaic and smelled of the olden times. There was not a whole lot that could be said about the strange spell, except for the fact that it hurt. Pain was not one of Achana's preferred feelings or sensations, unless it was inflicting it on others, and she could be regarded as a bit of a sadist in that mannerism.
Achana then slid backward as she watched the elf cause a retreat of his own warriors. This was perfect, and even better than she could have planned as she gathered a cero into her claws, planting the sword into the ground for the moment as two red, bat-like wings burst from her back and her reiatsu aura surged. She was going all out to crush this foolish elf for even daring to raise a hand, let alone a sword at her. She was the strongest force in Hueco Mundo and nobody threatened her or those who served her without facing the intense wrath she had in store. "Say good-bye, 'Dear'.", she said with all the malice and evil intent that she could muster, though from her it might have sounded like honey and love to the elven man's pointed ears. He didn't know what was coming for him as he turned away when he attacked his own men.
As the china-doll Vasto Lorde finished charging her attack, the red succubus wings formed from her only seemed to reveal her true nature as one that would lure somebody in and take their soul. She was the embodiment of that ancient demoness species. She was the scarlet harlot who would pour the blood of the innocent on the world. There were biblical texts in the Judaeo-Christian faith that spoke of her coming. This was the beginning of the end, at least for the elf as her cero reached full power and rushed to consume her distracted prey and everything in it's path. "BURRRN!!!", she roared in the dual tone voice that was classic to her breed over the roar of her attack, which sounded like a thousand jet engines roaring up to full speed, all at once. The other Hollow, like Yoo Na, Byeong, Kantaro, and Ahvira would likely all feel some solace in the fact that at least she wasn't trying to kill them. Yoo Na watched as the events played before her eyes. She remained nearby the vanir upstart, and Achana. She still intended to assist Achana in battle with the commander. However, so far Achana had the battle in the bag, and the flow of battle was very much going the way the china doll like hollow had intended. The china doll like hollow even ascended in power right before her very eyes, and achieved something that was akin to a myth in her eyes. However, Yoo Na could not dwell in thought for very long as she was going to achieve something of her very own.
It would seem that the plan to investigate the blue crystalline pillar had paid off. The feminine hollow fell to her knees as what felt like acid began to build in her esophagus. Slowly, her dark eyes opened. She could swear she had blacked out for a few seconds. Then her dark eyes looked down at her hands. They were covered with a black tar like substance. She shook her head in a negative direction before she coughed up more of the black tar like substance.
Yoo Na would brush off the experience. She would pick up her bone blade, and move back into combat. Was she more powerful than she was before? Why was the elven commander now attacking fellow elves and blanks. It didn't take much thought to figure out the answer. Yoo Na sprinted into action, sprinting around the elven commander. She moved in for a back attack, and to cut off his retreat. It was nearly out of the question that he would gain the will power to retreat, but still it couldn't hurt to plan ahead.

Jack grouched behind a tree in the forest, watching the battle that raged a few hundred feet ahead. There were hollows there, as well as a bunch of a creature Jack had never seen before, their ears tilted back and pointed. A character he had never played, a role he had never perfected. Jack waited for his moment, taking stock of every one of the strange creatures. He inched forward, silently, his breath quickening from the excitement, from apprehension. It was time for a performance.
It wasn't long before an elf, a straggler from teh rest of the pack, came within striking range, a shadowy black tentacle coming out of the trees, wrapping around the prey's neck, and pulling him back into the foliage without a sound. Jack ate in silence, a process taking less than a minute.
Out of the trees stepped another figure, dressed in fine leather and supple wool, his pointed ears sticking out beyond his head.
.: Elawar Letelewar: Elven Ranger:.
Elewar strode out confidently from the trees, his hands clutching a fine recurved bow, made from the rarest of woods, with an antler inlay. He approached a group of gathered elves, all of them weak, trying to hide. Elewar approached with a smile on his face.
"Come, brothers! Our foe still stands, and we have arrows in our quivers! Let us fell these beasts!", Elewar commanded, nocking one of his own arrows, readying to fire. The other elves brought their bows up.
"Fire!" Elewar shouted, pulling his own bow down and placing an arrow into the temple of the nearest other elf. The other elves turned, seeming to notice something strange about their compatriot. The remaining 5 elves drew swords, as did Elewar.
One of the elves shouted. "B-Betrayer!"
The elves fell in, taking their swords to the helpless body of Elewar Letelewar, dishonored elf ranger.
A small black streak flew out of the trees, through a gathering of elves, which gave chase, shaking the shock of killing one of their deloved comrades. Jack already had his daggers in his hand, as he raced back into the trees, elves in tow.

Yi Byeong-Ho It would strike him as a surprise that his maw was empty as he snapped it shut, and that his intended prey now rest on his long nose. The feline like Hollow would even kneed his mask while seemingly trying to maul it at the same time. His whole head would go off like a five alarm blaze, before the creature was struck off him with a partially eaten apple. It was relief, though at the same time Byeong-Ho would wonder what kinda a** throws food, or partially eats anything. No matter the answer the monstrous wolf would start to sneeze while the little feline was still around him. "I hate cats..." The beast would say with a deep graveled voice which seemed to echo. He would bound away, towards the pillar when a sudden surge of power filled his power and threaten to cause him to explode as it swelled inside of him. Byeong-Ho would let out a howl as his shadows swirled around him and his form shifted and twisted in the mass of darkness. Once the torrent of shadow's subsided the man found him standing upright and wearing all black clothes, much like the ones he wore before passing away. A grin would creep across his face as he balled up his fist hearing the knuckles all crack, "Oh this is so much better." His golden eyes quickly swept the area taking in all the newer Hollows trying to creep in while mentally take notes of each one. "So many new pack mates here." Byeong-Ho spoke in an amused tone as he held his hand into the air, "Sombra Robar!" A wolf made of a part of everyone's shadow would come forth and join in with the man. The ones affected would not even notice a difference, but he did as each new pack mate made him stronger as well. On came from Yoo Na, Achana, the feline, and the tall one whom seemed read to fight anyone. He would also receive one from Ahvira, who seemed to be struggling staving off her inner call to power, and Jack while he proceeded to kill the elves around him. For their contribution they would be thanked, though not aloud as he looked to the Vanir that was currently bewitched by the creepy china doll, and being attacked by his Mistress. "Don't have all the fun," Byeong-Ho teased as he seemed to produce a spear from the reishi in the air, "Sombras Interminables....Manada de Lobos!" As he called out the six shadow wolves make themselves known once more, each one splitting up and attacking the Vanir from different angles at different times, before vanishing into the shadows once more.Quote: StatsSpeed: 43 Strength: 43 Defense: 43 Stamina: 43 Spiritual Power: 43 Health Points: 600 Spiritual Energy: 41/50 Clarity: 43 Sombra Robar [Shadow Steal]: If the opponent's Sta is less than Byeong-Ho's Sta +5, then he takes a fraction of their shadow as his pack mate. Vanir Upstart Elf - Vanir The elven commander was lost in a daze as the red beam roared at him, heralding his impending doom. "Goddess, why?", was all he asked as the rush of red energy blew him backwards, ripping his left arm clean off his body. Blood splattered across the ground which only made him a target as Byeoung's shadows tore at him some more and he was unable to evade Yoo-na in time to find himself stunned under the weight of her attack. The feeling of dread that he was experiencing from Achana's aura only made him feel like this was the end and he was likely to die at the hands of the three demons who had reared their ugly heads up so suddenly in a surge of power that had yet to be seen until now. It was likely the Jokaisho Pillar's influence and at the same time, it would be too late for him to relay that information back to those it mattered to. He was doomed at this point and at the mercy of his enemies as his senses were about him but his body wouldn't move or respond to his will.
The three Hollow, two Vasto Lorde and one Adjuchas, were too cunning and worked too well in a team for the experienced guardian of the soul cycle of days gone by. With his many years of living and training, nothing could have prepared him for this lethal encounter. With her prey stunned and helpless, Achana Sonozaki was prepared now to deal the final blow or series of them that would leave the pathetic elf lost in a sea of endless desire. "I have you to thank for this..", she said as she looked to Yoo-na with a grin that was visible with her mask parted. It was a creepy dual-layer grin that spelled death for those who had the unfortunate experience to see it. Holding Lujira to the side, the china doll Vasto Lorde gathered energy to her legs before she danced about the Elf, cutting him repeatedly with the blade of lust, causing him to scream in agony mixed with tainted pleasure until she left him lifeless on the ground with a stupefied grin on his face. He had died happy at least, and that was the only mercy she had to offer such a brave opponent. He would likely become a Hollow soon since his energy had been depleted and devoured by the combination of her blade, Yoo-na's own sword, and Byeoung's wolves. It was all such an intriguing development.
With the defeat of the elven commander, Achana noticed the full retreat of the other Elves who had left for Alfheim to lock down the portal to their realm and the Blanks who were now fleeing for the Valley of Screams. She only hoped that if they came back with reinforcements that they were more capable opponents than the elf that lay dead at her feet. Pain and pleasure were the mixed emotions that could be felt across the literal war zone that this forest had become. The battle was closing and the curtain on the act was drawing to a close and soon there would be nothing left between her and that marvelous source of power that was emanating from the Jokaisho Pillar. Kagetane grins broadly from behind his mask. So many playmates. So many tasty elves. The weaker elves are but fast food to the vasto lorde. His gleeful enjoyment of the fight leaves him ignorant and uncaring if Yi Byeong Ho does steal sone of his power. His meals are more than enough of a difference to him. "Father would be so proud," he chuckles. His fists smash, his feet stomp, and his teeth clash against every opponent he crosses paths with. Seeing the idiot cat again, he grabs him roughly and throws him at an elf. "Stop being useless, Kantarou. Stupid beast. Wake up and eat your prey." He laughs madly as he watches the cat become a ball of fur, claws, and fangs.
Kantarou lays stunned on the ground for a little while, until the same man who knocked him off of the wolf hollow yanks him up by the scruff and flings him into the face of an elf who had just turned around. The cat reflexively extends his knife like claws and long dangerous rows of teeth. A decidedly not adorable thing happens to the elf and Kantarou has his first meal that wasn't a hueco mundo animal. A surge of power and Kantarou has a much more human like form, though not quite. He savagely attacks hollow after hollow and elf after elf as his hunting instinct kicks in.

Act two, Jack thought to himself, as the elves gave chase into the deeper parts of the forest, his feet making no sound as he darted between the trees. He hid in the branches of a tree, watching the impromptu hunting party, as they stopped to discuss their next course of action. After several moments, they split up, each elf going a different direction.
Against a normal opponent, scout tactics would have been useful, but in this instance, they played directly into Jack's hands. As an elf passed under Jack's tree, he dropped down onto him, plunging his knives into the female elf's throat, opening her up, her life blood flowing out and soaking into the dead leaves.
Jack's appearance shifted to match the fallen elf, as he stepped out from his cover, and began to do a little hunting for himself. It was not long before he encountered another elf.
"Quick, I saw him go this way!", Jack shouted in a female voice. The other elf was quick to follow, further away from his companions and deeper into the forest. He climbed up into another tree, and watched the elf begin to panic as he lost his companion and his target.
A smile crept across Jack's face as he heard the paniced tone in his next target's voice.
"V-Velendria? Where are you?", the elf called. Jack took a mental note of the name, as he began to silently descend from the branches, a few dozen yards behind his panicked prey.
The second Elf fell as easily as the, away from his companions, and the strength that numbers brought. He plunged a knife into the elf's back, and then another into his throat before he could make a sound. Jack dragged the body into a thicket of bushes, and set out to find his third victim.
Elf number three was older than the others, and more cunning. Jack did love a challenge.
He tracked this one for a while, studying his movements, the way he walked, the way he breathed, the way he held his ornate longbow. These were all things he would need in order to give the performance his audience deserved.
Jack approached, after a while, calling out to the older elf.
"No sign of him, sir." He said, in his best elf voice. The older elf seemed to buy it.
"Where could he have gone?" The older elf replied.
"There!" Jack shouted, pointing to nothing in particular. as the elder elf turned, Jack's form shifted back into his normal hollow form. With a swift, silent cut to the throat, the elder elf fell. Jack took his form, and returned to the clearing where the other hollows were.
In his elf form, many of the lesser hollows took an interest in him. He payed them no mind, as another target came into view. This elf wore ornate robes, and held an air of authority. Jack had never tasted a mage, and was eager to try it.
Forsaking all of the normal trickery and performance, Jack just casually strolled up to the mage, in his elf form, and drove a long knife into his belly.
The mage looked up in surprise, and then grim realization. He lifted his hands to cast a spell, but fell to the ground before he had the chance.
"I-imposter!" He said, with his last breath.
Jack took a deep breath, dropping his elf form.
"And... scene., he said, quietly to himself.

Gimmjow Jaegerjaquez
The current "King" of Hueco Mundo arrived with a troop of Arrancar from Las Noches, driving away the remaining Elves and Blanks. It appeared that the emergence of a couple of Vasto Lorde had attracted the attention of the forces of the White Fortress to look into the matter. Three of what looked like the Arrancar Detention Forces, known as the Exequias, were erecting a barrier of Negacion energy around the pillar and this left Grimmjow to address the Hollow that had brains enough to listen to the message.
"Listen up, little shits! This here pillar is made up of the same stuff that will cause a Hollow to transform into an Arrancar, so don't come any closer unless you think yourself worthy to join the ranks of Las Noches. There ain't any turning back once you take that step.", he warned them, before pointing his finger back at the barrier protected pillar. "That thing is a sort of path to another realm. You want to go through it? You better go get stronger because this aint some pissant's journey we're about to take once it opens up. Only the strong will survive.", he informed them before turning off to go relax and let his grunts take care of securing and analyzing the Pillar. The king had spoken.
Though the pillar of Jokaisho was secured by a barrier made of Negacion energy, around it's perimeter, one might locate a valuable Jokaisho Shard that would be used to aid them in transcending from their beastly, primal forms, into one of elegance as an Arrancar. Though ultimately, they'd lose out in raw power, they'd make up for it with skills and intellect with their emotions suppressed by reason and coherent thought. Regardless of the choice any Hollow made, it was obvious that they all needed to train, consume, evolve, and most importantly...survive if they had any hope of seeing what lay beyond the gate of the Pillar's door.
Quote: Notes: - The Hueco Mundo Threat is Neutralized; The topic will still render words for the event through the rest of the month. - The Second Chapter will begin at the end of March; During that time of rest it is assumed that the pillar will be maintained by Las Noches. - Those wishing to acquire a "Jokaisho Shard" for an upgrade may spend 500 Words searching around the pillar, helping study it to be rewarded with a shard. This may only be done once per character.

Yoo Na's strike did exactly as she had hoped. The elven commander had been stunned, and left vulnerable to attack. The option to retreat was cut off by the feminine hollow. It was then that she would receive a form of gratitude from the creepy china doll. It was followed by an unnerving grin. Clearly, she was going to enjoy what she was going to do next to the elven commander. She would reply to Achana with a simple nod, just before the doll cut down the commander. After the loss of the commander's life, the blanks and elves retreated back to wherever they came from. The battlefield was then emptier than it was before. Still, the victory over the elves did not feel like much of a victory at all. It was not long before the troop from Los Noches arrived and drove off any of the remaining blanks and elves. The appearance of the troop made her feel insignificant, even more so than she felt before. Her attention was brought back to ambition as the arrancar speaking stated that pillar was made up of the same material that would turn a hollow into an arrancar. It without a doubt peaked her interest, and the thought of exploring through the path to another realm made her even more interested. It was time to become stronger so that she can survive in this realm, and achieve her goals. She took a single step forward, with purpose, and proceeded to investigate around the pillar.

Achana Sonozaki had grown immensely with the battle over the Jokaisho Pillar there in the Forest of Menos. Many had fallen prey to her claws and those abilities of her allies that had also grown in impressive strength during that event. It was everything a Vasto Lorde could have hoped for from the lesser menos Hollow that remained despite the fact that the King of Hueco Mundo had appeared with the dreaded Arrancar forces. The art of becoming an Arrancar had been long lost to them all and it was unknown as to how exactly one was to discard the mask of instinct and emotion for the body and power of ambition and reason. To Achana, this was a chance to become a step closer to what she was in life. The beautiful yakuza heiress who was to take charge over the family business of prostitution and smuggling. The death of the elf commander had only emboldened her resolve to step forward and begin her search for a stone, just as Yoo-Na had begun. It was clear that the ally had the same desire and intent as the malign china doll Vasto Lorde. The pair were on a quest for power that would likely bring along Byeong-Ho along with the pair of devious creatures that were now to evolve even a step further, shedding the bestial, primal forms of their monstrous, masked visage in order to join the ranks of Las Noches.
In truth, as Achana searched the area for a shard of the stone that had possibly shattered off during the pillar's impact, she felt the wealth of power surging from her ambition tingling. It was as if there was an anticipation building in her body's primal instinct to go for more power. A subconscious urge to evolve and grow into something far more than what she was, an engine of primal, killing instinct. Her body longed for the feelings, and the wealth of emotion and cognitive ability she had when she was among the living as a criminal mastermind.
It had not taken long as her claws scraped the dirt to uncover a spec and a glimmer that had caught her gaze. The stone she had recovered seemed to speak to Achana's very soul. The power it promised seemed to whisper like a thousand voices in her head all at once as she grasped the small beacon of evolutionary energy. "Hrrng!", she groaned audibly as the pain of all of the voices speaking to her felt like the time she had spent as a Gillian Hollow; A single dominant conscious thought among a flood of other strong dreams and desires seeking for control over her body. It was a weird feeling, a mixture of pain and at the same time, a powerful urge to listen to the voices. The range of the tones went from old and wizened to that of young and childlike. They all asked the same question of her, "Do you, you misshapen creature, desire for a life of more? Do you wish to become perfect?" It was as if the gods were speaking to her core. She kept her eyes locked on the stone in her hand, as if nothing else around her mattered, but the words spoken by the stone. It was almost as if it were testing her resolve and making a check of her will to go through with what she had been planning. "Place us inside the void and all will be done.", the voices in her head spoke in a commanding fashion. This was either going to be Achana's undoing or she was about to become an Arrancar.
The Vasto Lorde stood tall as she took the small blue-white stone and placed it inside her Hollow Hole, right in the breast-bone of her chest. The small shard glowed eerily as it was placed there before it cocooned her inside a white light. The process was painful, as if everything was being stripped away. It was as if her very essence was being burned away and she howled in pain, but the sound of her anguish was lost in the light as she underwent the transformation. The power of the stone finally ended and it absorbed into her body with the light fading away, leaving her naked and crouched on the ground. Her long, black hair with streaks of crimson red covered her intimate areas from view, and she had not waited long before she was approached by a member of the Exequias. Was she to be executed and found unworthy of being what she was now? The answer to that question was made clear as the Arrancar held forth a uniform. The white hakama and vest of the Arrancar Numeros legions of Las Noches. "It feels good to be back.", she said with a smirk on her lips before she got dressed and waved to Yoo-Na and Byeong-Ho. "I'll be seeing you two later. I have a feeling you will be joining me soon.", she said before the new Vasto-Arrancar burst off toward the White Fortress were she would continue her training and development.
