"I did not want to hit you." She corrected him, her voice sharp and deadly. "You were suspicious. I had to find out why. Now that we are acquainted, I would never hit you on purpose except for a duel." And that was her way of accepting. She nodded and backed away, holding both of the guns at her sides, as if waiting for some sort of indication that they would begin. "This will be interesting. Good luck to you."

"I didn't mean to be. I guess I should be used to it by now. Most people don't like strangers." He rubbed his head and squared off with her taking up a fighting position. "Well it's ok to hit me on the training field. I think this will be fun." He grinned at her. Clyde seemed to have a very different definition of fun then average.

Fortunately, Ana had that same definition of fun, because sparring was her kind of recreation. The strange, crooked grin on her face attested to how much she was looking forward to a good fight, though it paled in comparison to a fair, hand to hand battle. Perhaps, she thought, Clyde would oblige on that one day. She took aim, or at least tried to, and shot wildly off to the side, missing him completely. Her grin disappeared. "Not the best start." Clyde whistled as the shot went wild and hit one of the targets behind him. Clyde leveled his gun at her and shot. "Hit me. I am the target. The dummy already got his." His aim was slightly better, but laughter was probably not helping. Quote: HP: 40 Damage: 1 Charge: 1/3

Ana let out a gasp, feigning scandal before she held both guns up and started moving, shooting first one and then the other. Orange and green splatters covered his body, sliding almost instantly off as they hurt nothing but his shield. "Oh. Sorry." She called out, continuing to move in order to make it harder to hit her. Clyde just grinned at that. "You clearly need your eyes checked." He glanced down at the new splashes of color on his shirt. Oh that would take a while to wash out... perhaps he should have taken his shirt off first. He tugged it off quickly sending her a quick shot as he yanked off his white coat. Oh she stopped. Good. He took full advantage of the pause. "I imagine washing the color out of white takes forever. I should have taken at least the coat off before hand." he tossed her a grin. Flustered as she might have been, Ana's face set into a determined grimace and she dropped into a roll, unfurling with both guns blazing to send two bullets straight at him. They managed an impact, however unimpressive, but it was easier to look at him when his chest was splattered with pink goo. "Who is the distracted one?" The sting of each shot made her wince, but they did not make her falter. She was up and firing immediately, taking careful shots with more precise aim now that she'd already felt the sting of his pointed bullets against her shield. Clyde got distracted by the pait splatter on his jeans. Dang it! He was not taking those off mid fight.... it was too late to do any good anyways. "Maybe." Maybe he just wasn't doing so good. Vanessa mumbled in grumpiness.

Maybe wasn't the kind of answer she expected, and it wasn't something she was prepared to continue ribbing him with. She faltered, her lips pursing with disappointment, before she fired off two more successful rounds, and one that missed. "Uh, come on, Clyde." She muttered, pathetically trying to cheer him on. "Put your guns up. Even if you miss, let me see your effort." She felt the sting of embarrassment at actually trying to give someone positive enforcement. It was difficult for her not to feel like she sounded foolish. Nothing about her gave off the 'positive enforcement' vibe. She was just glad the mask hid her blush, as it always did. As it always would. No one would ever guess how crippling her shyness and self-awareness was, as long as she wore it. But it did nothing to hide the hesitance in her voice.
