Remarque just laughed—softly, as though not to give Celsus too much pleasure. It was a bad line, but it was just so Celsus. Finally, grin still on his face, he nodded. "All right. All right, bad puns and all, I'll take you up on that. What's your schedule look like? I can make time around whatever works for you."
…Maybe. With a baby and all, his schedule was sometimes booked, but he wasn't about to admit that to Celsus. Even if he did trust him, in a weird sort of way.
He wasn't like some of the other Knights or Senshi he'd met—the pigheaded once who couldn’t care less about the truth and only saw with blind eyes. Maybe, once upon a time, they'd been more opposed to each other.
But Remarque would give Celsus the benefit of the doubt if it came down to it, and if he was serious about it…
Hell, yeah. He'd take Celsus' offer, bad puns and all.

Celsus' smile was a satisfied one, because he knew it had been a very terrible pun, and yet he hadn't been able to resist it anyway. Remarque knew him well enough by now anyway that he was never going to stop making truly awful puns.
He grinned and said, "Good. I have a relatively free schedule, so it's more at your leisure than mine, I think. Weekends work best for me, if they work best for you - and I tend to patrol along this way during such times, so if we just happen to run across each other, well.."
Celsus ran a hand through his red hair and the grin had softened a little to something not quite affectionate, but not annoyed, like he had worn in the beginning of their oddball relationship. He took a step forward and, his expression surprisingly relaxed and open, held out a hand towards Remarque.
"Til next time, then," he said.

Remarque laughed once more and shook his head; he extended his hand to take Celsus', gave it a firm shake and repeated, "'Til next time."
He hadn't disliked Celsus for a while, but if you'd asked him back then—back when they'd first just awakened—if he could have ever seen himself in this position…
He'd have laughed in your face.
But he liked to think he'd learned a lot since then. Maybe they both had. He was still naïve and new to this war, and now…it was a whole different playing game.
Different rules, different players.
