Soquili Name: Ch'ayna (goldfinch, lark, with melodious singing)
Preference List: White/Purple, Blue/Rainbow, White/Blue
Personality: Ch'ayna is a pleasant individual, friendly and sincere - the type that everyone gravitates towards due to her genuine and honest spirit. She has no shortage of friends, and loves to meet new ones everywhere she goes. She isn't afraid to introduce herself and start conversations, in fact she almost can't help herself! When she hears a conversation happening nearby she interjects herself into it, adding to it a spark of laughter and joy. She does this without thinking, feeling a need to connect with those around her on some subconscious and primal level. She doesn't think of herself as "funny" or "witty" or "clever", but her friends would describe her exactly as such. She uses humor to deal with her pain, laughter in place of tears, and sarcasm to chase away any darkness she feels has hold of her.

She loves to sing, her voice melodious and tender. She sings in an Alto, lower and smoother than a lot of feminine voices, though a far cry from being anything but feminine. She loves to sing at every place they stop, collecting friends and whatever donations they might bring. She does it more for love of singing and bringing joy than for any monetary gain, and anything she brings in she puts towards the herd. She also loves to draw and paint, though this is something she keeps mostly to herself. On rare occasions instead of singing she might draw caricatures for anyone who wishes, using her own inks and paints she makes from plants she finds in her travels.

She is charitable and will give food or aid to anyone in need without hesitation, offering whatever she may have in order to help them, even if it causes hardship on herself. On the whole she is a kind soul, quick to forgive. Her temper is typically a slow-burning ember, something she comes to gradually, but on some occasions it can flare up hot and suddenly - scorching anyone around her. She is fiercely protective of her family and friends and will leap to the aid of anyone she loves. She isn't above fighting when the need arises, and she is a force to be reckoned with when she is angry.

She may be all of these things on the outside, but she also hides a deep sorrow inside. She has always felt neglected, looked over, and perhaps that explains her ardent need to always help others or meet new soquili, or be in the limelight with her singing. Behind her gentle smile lies her own darkness, her own sorrow that she doesn't share with anyone. She feels herself broken, defective somehow in that she has a hard time accessing or understanding her feelings. She may mask her tears with laughter - but isn't it normal to cry? She worries that her heart is frozen, that she will only ever be able to show the world the mask of happiness that she shows and not the sometimes brooding, sad soquili within. She fears she makes so many fast friends on her journeys, but becomes close to none. She fears no one will ever know the real her...

They were leaving this place. It was a certainty. She had accepted the news with a smile when Ch'aska brought it to her, all at once her body buzzing with the excitement and anticipation of adventure. She exuded nothing but happiness at the move. She had been bubbly and happy, exclaiming over the new things they would see and do, the possibilities of new herbs and teas and things to sell, but as soon as she was able she'd left to be alone with her thoughts. Ch'ayna mulled over the prospect, her wings folded against her side as she stood in her sacred place, her favorite spot of all. It was sort of an underground waterfall, or might have been before a great earthquake tore a great, jagged scar along the earth. It was a gaping hole from above, but entering it there were many perches going down with a sizable waterfall on one side. She had landed on one such landing about halfway down the crevice, near enough to be sprinkled by the nearby waterfall. The day had been warm, summer in full bloom upon the lands. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, but here the trees and falls were so tall as to blot out the sun, leaving her in darkness. She liked this spot; it seemed a perfect metaphor for herself, sunny from where everyone could see her, dark once they've made it within. She smirked at the idea mirthlessly. Was she really so dark and gloomy? She hoped not.

She shook her head violently, beads of moisture flying from her feathers from the falls splashing at her incessantly. The cool water felt good, soothing with the roar of the falls cancelling out all other noise, lulling her into calm. She took a breath, closed her eyes, and let the thoughts crash around her like so much water. She tried to imagine this new land and whether it would have a place like this. Somewhere secluded where she could be alone with her thoughts. She figured it must, after all the Earth was a large place, surely more such places existed. And this new place would have many new soquili to meet as well, many new friends to be made. Many opportunities to sing and dance and show off her talents to a fresh crowd. Perhaps with the widening of their routes there would be more room, more ways for her to reach out and be noticed. She smiled at the thought, her eyes still closed, her face upturned towards the sky. Yes, this would be a wonderful adventure! She could make a real name for herself this way. Soquili would come from miles around to watch her perform and hear her sing! Her name would be known! And perhaps maybe, she herself will be known.

She opened her eyes slowly, a feeling of bittersweet contentment washing over her. She would miss home, but she also felt suddenly a need to leave. She had never entertained such thoughts before, because she would never abandon her family. But now the possibility -no probability- was here and it resonated with her deeply, an unspoken desire of her heart. She would go. They would go, and the family would be better for it. She sighed deeply, her mind eased but her heart fluttering wildly with the excitement of leaving. A smile was plastered on her face, her heart beating loudly in her ears, but lighter than it had been in years. She bounded over to where she had discarded her packs and slipped them on, rushing and stumbling over the straps. She got them on and excitedly spread her wings, gliding down deeper towards the base of the waterfall, landing in the soft mud on the bank. She walked carefully along the mud and rocks, making it to her special cave where she stored her most precious objects. Here she packed her art supplies carefully. Once that chore was done she glanced about at the other objects she had filled the cave with - things of beauty she had gathered that soothed her soul and inspired her. She obviously couldn't take it all. Frowning, she narrowed her eyes and tried to pick a few of the objects. Finally, she settled on three things - a large fire opal she had found along the river, a dried flower given to her by a secret admirer, and a bound pair of feathers - one from her mother and one from her father - to remember home by. She glanced once more at her horde with a wistful smile. She would collect new things, she was sure.

Soquili Name: Miski Muña, meaning Sweet Herb
Preference List:3,1,2
Personality: Miski is sweet and happy. Bubbly and loving. She keeps everyone happy and she likes to sing and smile. Shes always looking for someone to make happy with her singing or dancing and shes always looking for new songs or dances to do for anyone who wants to watch.

While sweet and laughing is the side she wants everyone to see and know her by she will not be afraid to fight to protect her family, traveling party or her herd. She will do what is needed to keep everyone safe and make sure nothing happens to anyone. She loves everyone she meets and considers anyone who she gets a long with to be an instant friend. But if you make her an enemy or try to hurt someone she cares for she will never forget it, never forgive it and never trust them again.
Job: Entertainer and trader
Do you agree to keep this girl in the herd, and notify Aria of all descendents?:Yes of course <3
Prompt Chosen: 1
Prompt Response:

Miski was very excited by the news that her sister had talked about sending some of the herd away. She was looking forward to seeing other things, to meeting others and entertaining new people! She loved to sing and dance for everyone when she helped with the trading and in her own herd. She loved the idea of learning new songs or dances from other places so she could add new things to what she did and to share new stuff with all the other places she went to. She liked the idea of it as a way to learn more about everything as she did her work as a trader.

Miski helped out the herd as a trader like all the sisters and several others did but she thought of her self as an entertainer first and for most. She liked seeing how happy everyone got when she danced for them, her paws moving this way and that as her sweet voice sang for them and helped them relax at the end of the day while they enjoyed their tea. She always put on a nice tea ceremony for those around her dance fire. Brewing up a nice tea in her pot over the fire before singing a calming song as she poured it for those who were there. She would add cream, honey or cinnamon to any of the teas if people wanted it before she would start dancing for them all.

Moving about here or there, leaping and gliding over the fire as she sings. All these things she couldn't wait to bring and share with other herds. To explore the lands and find more things to flavor or brighten the flavors of the tea with before she entertained. To meet other entertainers in other herds and learn other songs, other dances and other stories she could use to make songs from! All this had her very excited as she went to her little home area and started packing up her saddle with things she needed. Sweeteners or flavor adders for the tea, making sure all of them were fully stocked, before adding in her lavender tea she took special to help her sleep. Adding in one little thing, a special little pillow she had gotten made for her to sleep at night. It also smelled like her home herd and had a feather from each of her sisters in it to help her feel connected with her family and herd while she was away.

So while she would be away from most of her friends and her home she would be close to them, she would still know them and smell them. Love them and never forget them till when ever she could get home to see them once more. It was scary but exciting and she looked so forward to learning so much while she was out and about.

Soquili Name: Ninasisa "fire flower"
Preference List: Gold Teapot, Tan Teapot, Black Teapot
Personality: Nina was perhaps one of the more religious of her sisters. Tales of the gods and goddesses alike often brought tears to the filly's eyes when she listened to her family telling her of the beautiful tales that wove each deity together. Her excitement and interest only grew as she did. She became a practitioner as she grew, set upon performing all manner of ceremonies to showcase her love for the lore she had been raised with.

With high spirits and a persuasive tongue, Ninasisa always fancied herself a trader who could talk to potential buyers about the stories that lay behind each product she and her herd sold. She has the stamina and heart to speak of it for hours on end and doesn't quite understand why others wouldn't want to listen to such wonderful stories, becoming severely offended when someone stops her mid-sentence. Watch out when you upset her, for Nina has a nasty temper and had a tendency to strike out when put off for something else. She has a passion for story-telling and she demands to be heard!
Job: Lore-Keeper (if taken, Trader)
Do you agree to keep this girl in the herd, and notify Aria of all descendents? I do!
Prompt Chosen: 2
Prompt Response: The first time she was informed that she and her sisters were leaving, Nina was shocked into a rare moment of silence. As the journey progressed, these "shocked into stillness" moments became more frequent. Between the hardships they faced on their journey and Ch'aska's insistency that they must continue further and further away from their home, Nina found herself becoming more secluded.

The mare had left her home herd with the belief that the gods and goddesses of her youth were guiding her through life and that by thought of them alone, it would be enough to get her through the harshness of her present fate.

Unfortunately, it seemed as though this were not the case she was presented with during their journey. The first few paces of their pilgrimage had served her well. She had held strong through these times, convincing herself it was the will of all those watching above her. She had re-told legends of her gods and goddesses to her sisters whenever they stopped to rest, trying to strengthen their spirits with the familiar tales. With the comforting memories and legends they brought with them from home, Ninasisa thought, surely her sisters would take cheer from it and so would she.

As their trace, progressed and the weeks began to blend into months, Ninasisa would sometimes suggest that she was no longer on a quest for a new trading road, but for enlightenment. Their gods and goddesses had sent them on this journey for a reason, she claimed to her sisters, so surely they were meaning to speak with them, or to Ninasisa somehow. She went on like this for a time, paying special care to notice everything, searching for a sign from her beloved deities that would never come.

'What am I doing with myself?'

By the third movement of the piece, Ninasisa had begun to doubt herself and her beliefs. She still took strength in the legends of her deities and she found that she could speak as animatedly about them as she did when she left home, but she was no longer "searching for enlightenment" so much as she was looking for a place to belong again. Back with her herd, she had been the story-teller and the believer. While she certainly retained her abilities with the former rank, she could not say so for the latter.

'Maybe it's time to believe in something new.' She thought one evening, just before she was settling down to sleep. She didn't know what she was going to find, or whether she would be able to adopt new beliefs from another party, but she suddenly realized that that was exactly the thing she needed: Something new to believe in. Maybe it was just her, but before she drifted off to slumber, she thought that the something new she was searching for was just around the corner.

Hey, just wanted to clarify to folks (Siiiiiiiiiiince it seems I had one of those 'IT MAKES SENSE TO ME IN MY HEAD' moments where no one else gets what my weird brain thinks) that Earth Mother and Sky Father would NOT exist to the Sisters Pre-Herd Formation. They are created from a combination of Chroma's pre-existing beliefs that he was raised with, and the religious beliefs of the Peoples that the Sisters would have grown up near... The Soquili-Verse Incan cultures. You might want to, if you're going to reference beliefs the girls had at the time, look up some info about Incan Dieties and religious beliefs!
Sorry I confused people!

Soquili Name: Amaláy (hopeful, 'if only')
Preference List: 3, 2, 1
Personality: Amaláy is scholarly; curious about everything, easily fascinated by things that are unfamiliar, and is sometimes almost insufferable in her optimism and eagerness to understand everything. She adores learning, history in particular, and eagerly buries her nose in anything that has even the slightest thing to do with her family's traditions and culture. She imagines sometimes she annoys her sisters with the random tidbits of trivia and facts that fall from her mouth on occasion, but she takes pride in her ability to pick up seemingly incongruous or irrelevant pieces of information and put them to good use.

Most times, Amaláy makes an excellent trader- able to spout off all the uses, history and traditions of each of their herbs and teas with ease and confidence to entice them into buying... but sometimes, she doesn't know when to shut her mouth. She has a tendency to be a bit blunt, clinical, and downright obtuse at times. She has a friendly and upbeat personality, but when she gets too involved in spouting off her knowledge or educating some helpless bystander, she can forget to be considerate.

Amaláy tends to gravitate towards her sister Killasisa because of their shared love of studying their culture, but makes it a point to bestow affection on all of her sisters, and carries a healthy admiration for their eldest sister's leadership skills- perhaps even a bit of envy at times, although no one would guess from her demeanor.

Job: Lore Keeper, if available
Do you agree to keep this girl in the herd, and notify Aria of all descendents? Of course! heart
Prompt Chosen: 3
Prompt Response:
Amaláy had been unsure, at first, about leaving their homeland- although she had a penchant for gaining knowledge, venturing away from their home, from everything that was familiar, was a bit unsettling to the winged mare. She trusted Ch'aska not to lead them astray, though, and her faith in the eldest was rarely misplaced. Her other sisters seemed to adapt quickly enough, and before long, Amaláy was caught up in the excitement of it all, exuding her usual joy for picking up bits of information along the way. It hadn't taken long for them to make friends, and astonishingly enough, find a Heart-point in very short order! It was all very thrilling, staying with the kind White Leaf herd in this new land while they prepared to set up their trade route, and she was more than happy to spend her time grilling the willing herd members for knowledge and studying the native traditions here.

Her enthusiasm had seemed as if it were contagious for a while, but she could tell that her current educator was beginning to tire of her endless questions, and in reluctant, but polite acceptance, she acknowledged and thanked him for his help with a smile and excused herself, settling a bit away from the buzzing congregation to put her thoughts in order. There, she could be attentive and accommodating when she chose! Perhaps the prospect of being a trader would not be so daunting... obviously, she had much to learn, but she approached it with the same eagerness that she showed in everything else, and Chromatos would no doubt inspire the rest of them to take on their tasks with gusto. Unconsciously, her eyes were drawn to the two figures that stood in the middle of it all, heads bowed, seemingly discussing something important, and the Soquili that milled around them seemed to give them a wide berth- in respect, perhaps?

Sometimes, she thought it odd... this strong, close, but platonic bond between Ch'aska and Chroma that seem to have sprung up overnight. The scholar in Amaláy wanted to study them, find out exactly what had facilitated such a strong and fast friendship without prompting, but the sister in her was slightly envious that she had found someone else to be close to so easily, even if it had originally been for business. She wondered, sometimes, if she hadn't tried hard enough to have a closer relationship with her sisters- she was aware at times that she could come off as inconsiderate when closely involved in her studies, but she tried very hard to show them the affection that they deserved.

Unwillingly, her eyes drifted past their new leaders, lost in thought, but blinked slowly and refocused as they settled upon an azure, quad-winged form milling some distance away. All at once, she blushed and averted her eyes, frantically checking to see if anyone had seen her reaction, though no one seemed to be looking her way. Amaláy had never had a crush before- at least, not one that her sisters knew of... but Eventide was handsome, even if she hadn't spoken to him at length. Perhaps it was seeing her sister slide so easily into a deep friendship with someone outside their family that had her longing for the same, but honestly, she suspected it was a simple infatuation, and forced her thoughts elsewhere. Her sisters could never know, or she would never hear the end of it.

She certainly had enough to think of otherwise.

Soquili Name: Inkasisa
Preference List:  3, 1, 2
Personality: Inkasisa is that kind of female who will put her family and herd above her own personal happiness and safety. Inky is a soft-hearted female that have an intensive knowledge of herbs and how to utilize them in helping others recover from bouts of illness or heal them for whatever reasons they need. Always ready with a smile for anyone, she is almost always available for anyone if they need a shoulder to cry to or someone to vent to so they could get better and she will listen without any judgments, offer any advice if its needed and just simply be there for them because unhappy herd members doesn't bode very well for the herd because they need to work together to achieve their goals. Fiercely protective and loyal, Inkasisa can easily go from a gentle-spoken happy mare to a down right terrifying nightmare with lethal fighting skills if any of her herd members or loved ones gets threatened.
Job: What job does she fulfill? Healer
Do you agree to keep this girl in the herd, and notify Aria of all descendents?  Yes
Prompt Chosen: 2
Prompt Response:

Traveling through the skies during the daytime and occasionally nighttime with her herd members, Inkasisa is in a sheer bliss due to the sensation of the wind lifting her up higher into the skies, the sun beating down on her body and mist from the clouds wrapping around her body when they flies through the mists along with the sights she have been taking in since they left to find more trading paths and an ultimate goal of finding a heart-point. Her body tips to side as her wing swipes at the fluffy cloud, leaving a streak of it behind her while she laughs when she swoops down to catch up with the herd, lowering down to the ground due to them finding a promising trade route after she realized that she was caught up in her daydreaming while lagging behind them and she blushes little bit to herself while grinning at her sisters when she made eye contact with each one of them.

As she lowers to the ground, a wave of herbal scents assaults her nose and she air-walked away from the herd, immediately being drawn to the grove of herbs while she closes her eyes in bliss, her nostrils flaring up, taking in all of the scents greedily. “I am smelling so many different herbs here.” She calls over her shoulder to her sisters, her tone is of awe-struck and sheer joy as she opens her eyes, scanning various different shapes and colors of the herbs.

“So many possibilities...antidotes, salves...” Inky murmurs to herself, almost beside herself with excitement while her wings flutter with invisible vibrations of her energy coursing through her slender body. The notion of her not being chosen to work the trading route has stung her for a bit but the thrill of traveling, taking in new sights and scents quickly overcame that sting because she's discovering so many new herbs and plants that she wasn't aware of before and her traveling pouch is starting to become overflowing with different kind of plants stuffed in there. “Take a break and we will take off flying again.” One of the sisters calls out to the herd members and made sure to have her voice carry over to Inky whom is a good distance away, browsing through the herds happily.

Raising her head up, the slender female realized that her wings are very sore due to all of the flying she have done over the period of few days and she grimaces little bit, not liking that kind of fact but she refuses to let that kind of soreness interfere with her delight of flying and discovering new things. Hearing shuffling and soft murmurings behind her, Inkasisa turns around and looks at her herd members with a smile on her face and a feeling of strong pang of protective love squeezing her heart when her eyes move from one member to other until they lands on her sisters.

“Hey Killasisa!” She calls out excitedly as she trots over to her sister with a smile on her face as her elder sister Ch'aska Qyullur decided to come over to listen in to her sister's findings of the day. Inky grins at them as she pulls the flap to her bag open, tucking it against her body while she looks at them. “I have discovered so many different herbs and plants that I need to experiment but I have heard that majority of them have various different healing properties. Those herbs will definitely help us out with our herd's medicine stock. Oh!” She squeaks as she forgot to mark the spots with her feather. “I will be right back.” She darts off with her two amused sisters looking after her while she hastily takes a small string and feather she plucked from her mane, managing to tie it near the herb spots she have checked out and approved of. “There..” She smiles happily as she looks up at the skies, feeling that pull to spread her wings to fly again and she looks over her shoulder at her herd members, noting that some are looking frustrated about something and that urge to help them grows stronger than her urge to fly so she pads past her sisters with an apologetic look at them.

“Some of them need to talk.” She murmurs to her sisters as she walked past them to offer her shoulder or ear to those frustrated herd members without any negative feelings in her heart because its her honor to help her herd members out because they are her heart and soul.

As she moves to one herd member to another, listening to them venting various frustrations from not being able to keep up with the herd while traveling to trading not being as successful as they would like, Inky's mind starts to drift off to the particular route that she felt would have been a good route but it got rejected by the herd. The route isn't very well-traveled like her sisters and her would like but Inkasiasa have seen a lot of good potential in that route because there's a lot of herbs lining the path along with the position of it between two well-traveled routes. Smiling at the herd member, the female moves off from the group after accepting the gratitude from him and she glances in the direction where that route is located at, remembering the conversation she had with her sisters when they were debating on if that route should be used or not.

Unfortunately, the majority voted against using that route because of the location and traffic there which Inky strongly disagreed with based on the ready supply there along with the possibility of manipulating traffic from two routes to use the one between them as a short cut instead of a long way around. Closing her eyes, Inky mentally mapped out the area the route is in and hums to herself while she visualizes the traffic leaking onto that route due to promises of rich herbs and supplies they need with some nudge of Tea Traders herd and she smiles to herself, knowing that eventually that route will be used. She just have to be patient and wait until they finally see it for themselves. With a tired sigh, she shakes her head and chuckles to herself before she turns around and heads over to her sisters to finish explaining to them about her discoveries she made today.

Soquili Name: *given in order of preference, as I have slightly different ideas for each mare Qhispi Ninasisa / Waytamayu / Umina Waqar

Preference List:  white/blue (middle, with the earring), white/purple (last, with the pretty eyelashes), dark/rainbow
Personality:
white/blue mare

By nature Qhispi is an explorer. She is curious, always wanting to see what is beyond the horizon. Or what is down that dark untrodden path. She follows her paws, which never seem to want to stay in one place or very long. She seems restless, even when together with her sisters, seeming ready to leave at a moments notice, always ready for a new adventure or a new path to take.

She is a bit bull-headed and more than a little stubborn... traits that are both useful – they keep her going long after the point where others might give up – but they also tend to get her into a lot of trouble. Whether it's being less than diplomatic with potential allies if she gets tired or negotiations take too long, or if it's goading a kalona into a fight to clear them out of the path. She is not one to handle nonsense well, or to back down from anything.

She is more of a loner, which tends to be helpful as she travels on her own quite often, seeking out potential trade routes and any ways to make current routes shorter, more passable, whatever. But she has a strong sense of loyalty and connection to her sisters, so she always returns to the heart-point to see how they are all getting along, and to spend as much time with them as she can stand before gallivanting off on her next adventure.

white/purple mare

Waytamayu is a bit of a homebody. She likes to stay in whatever place she and her sisters call home. She is the one who prefers to stay behind, to make sure that everyone has anything they need when they return. So there is always someone there to greet a returning member of the herd with a smile. It is a rare thing for her to go out on trading runs, but she will go out if it is needed by the herd, because she wants to do her part.

When she is with her herd and family, she is a sweet soft-spoken mare who is always willing to lend an ear or shoulder to anyone who asks. She is bright and caring, if more quiet than one might expect... she is not fond of speaking unless there is something that needs to be said, choosing to remain silent otherwise.

Outside the herd, out of her comfort zone, her quiet calm nature might be mistaken as arrogance, aloofness or distance, making it somewhat difficult for her to accomplish her duties as a trader, but she is working on it. Truly.

dark/rainbow mare

With a personality as loud as her pelt coloration, it was no surprise to anyone when Umina chose not to learn the herbal/tea arts or the art of trading, but rather taking up the art of entertainment. Specifically acting and song. Her two greatest passions. Through them she can be anyone or anything she wants to be. And as an added bonus, she can have an impact on another life. Whether it is simply bringing a smile to one's face, or bringing them to tears. In her eyes, there is nothing better one could do with their life.

At times she might seem over the top, but she has a good heart and means well. The flip side too this is she fiercely protective of those she calls hers, and there isn't anything she wouldn't do, including fighting a skin-walker, by herself, to see that they are safe and happy. Though or the most part, she is not a fan of violence and would prefer for things to be all sunshine and rainbows. She's not naive though, and knows that is only wishful thinking.

She adores her family and herd, but there is just something about getting to know strangers, to learn new stories, and get new ideas for her performances, so one might as easily find her chatting with familiars as helping her herd members with whatever tasks she might be of any assistance with.

Job:

Qhispi: First and foremost, she is a scout, always looking for new paths and routes the herd might use when trading their goods. She tends to travel swift and lightly packed, though she always carries a small batch of goods to show potential buyers and herds they might establish trade with.

Waytamayu: Healer.
She has a vast knowledge of herbs and how they can be used to treat wounds an illnesses, so she uses her knowledge to help the best she can, though she is no unicorn who can heal with a magic touch. Sometimes she is able to help, others she fails and at times might even lose her patient.

Umina: Entertainer

white/blue mare

From the beginning, Qhispi had been an adventurer. Always curious and willing to roam. So when Ch'aska came to them to tell them the herd was preparing to split off to relieve crowding and strain on resources, Qhispi was more than ready to go. She was eager to start on a new adventure.

She had nothing much in the way of belongings to pack, her job wasn't one that lent itself well to the collecting of things, so she thought to offer any of the extra room in her packs so that any of her sisters who didn't have enough space in their own to carry treasures that might otherwise need to be left behind. She might not understand nor have things she valued, but she knew others did, and if she could carry some so her sisters could be a little happier with what was happening, well, it would be worth t to her.

She didn't know who, if any would need to take her up on the offer, or if any of her sisters would, but she thought to let Ch'aska know of her offer any way, since it seemed she was in charge of this expedition...

The day they were supposed to leave started out damp, dreary... just kind of depressing. Not an auspicious start to their new adventure. But no matter. She had what few belongings she owned in the packs on her back, her sisters beside her, and a new path, just waiting to be taken. She couldn't ask for more. And she coud hardly wait to see what this adventure might bring.

white/purple mare

She had started to notice the signs early on. Things were changing in the main herd. And change, in her mind was never good. But nothing was said, and life seemed to go on as normal. At least for a time, and she started to relax. Nothing big happened, an it seemed like her fears were for naught.

Then Ch'aska came to them, and told them what was going on. What it meant for them. The herd was splitting. For the good of all, they and a few other clusters of herd members were being sent away to establish new trade routes and heart-points -new herds – elsewhere. She was devastated by the news. Everything she had known, everything, was being taken from her. Everything but her sisters. At least she still had that much.

It was with a heavy heart she packed up her meager collection of belongings – a few dried flowers tied with a ribbon that were given to her as a gift, a few shiny pebbles and such she gathered, nothing really special, but nothing she could bear to leave behind. They might be few, and not all that important, but they were hers. Luckily they were small, portable light and didn't take up much room in her packs. She simply placed the majority of them inside her tea kettle she had the herd familiars wrap every so carefully for her, and placed in the middle of the pack where nothing could happen to them.

While she might be far less then pleased with the move, and all that it entailed. She was with her sisters. And that would be enough for her.

dark/rainbow mare

So, the herd had gotten too big, and it was time to split. Ok, not so big a deal. It was happening to the other members of the herd right? So what did that have to do with her?

Then it dawned on her, what Ch'aska was saying. They were going to be part of the herd that was breaking off. Going out on their own to establish a new trading route. Their own trading route. Their own herd. While she might have been a little slow on the uptake... ok she got it right away, but she didn't want to think about what the words actually meant. She was going to have to leave. And her life would totally have to change. Maybe it would be for the better, but more than likely it would be for the worst. She was far from pleased with the decision. Her life here was fine. It was comfortable, and she was able to do what she loved.

By having to help start new trading route, a new herd, she would have to give up most of what made her...her. And this was not something that pleased her. Not in the slightest. They were going to be leaving and soon. Which meant they would only take what they needed to start over.

She would have to leave behind all her costumes and props and those elements that were part of her job. Her acting performances. She wouldn't be able to take them with her into the new herd, because they were heavy, and bulky and she couldn't carry them all herself, and none of her sisters would be able to help her, because they had their own belongings to pack and carry. It just wasn't fair.

She didn't like adventure. She didn't like change. And she sure as hell didn't volunteer for this.
But her sisters were the ones going, and she wouldn't let them leave her behind. So she would go. But she sure as hell wasn't happy about it.

Soquili Name: Aquilla Cusi
Preference List: white/steel, white/purple, steel/rainbow
Personality: Aquilla tends to be quiet, thoughtful, and precise. She is almost of a scientific mindset, but she bends that deliberation into her craft. She respects the tea, the leaves, the growing and traiding. But it isn't her passion.

Aquillia remembers tea with their grandmother. She remembers the nearly translucent thin teapot, delicate and beautiful. She remembers the glass jar her aunt had, decorated with feathers and beads and left in the sun to steep, waiting for the perfect summer sip. She remembers the chipped old thick pot of one of the old herd's elders as he made new blends and let her test them with stories of past ventures.

When Aquillia thinks of tea, it's the vessels she remembers. The every day teapot, the special family treasure, the history. The tea is important, but fleeting. And a harsh frost or dry summer could kill a line of leaves that had a particular citrus flavor or a peppery quality. The teapots, the cups, the jars . . . those could hold memories of joy or sadness or family or . . . Life.

Aquillia wants to be part of something beautiful, meaningful, and lasting. She's quiet, withdrawn. She's never told anyone why she makes the teapots, why she spends so much time digging up clay, collecting sand, gathering minerals for dyes. She just does it. And because it's useful, easier to sell tea to those who do not know of it if you have the implements of its making, she's never really been discouraged.

Mostly, Aquillia is an artist who works in the medium of teapots and blooming memories. Each pot has a secret story, one she tells herself about the kind of life it will lead, the type of Soq for whom it belongs, and a hidden image or shape waiting for clever eyes to discover. And that is the one place she may have contention. If she doesn't feel someone will respect a piece as it was meant to be, she won't part with it. She makes plenty of simple pots for those who can not see the magic of her work, with a simple flower hidden inside on the bottom of the pot, for even those blind to it need a little magic.

Job: Service Crafter. She gathers matterials along their journy to make all sorts of tea pots, jars, cups, strainers, spoons . . . Then she works with the clever hands of a group of familiar mice, racoons, and otters. She mostly paints the finished pieces, but occasionally she works the forms as well, those are usually special and fantastical in shape and often only given as gifts.

Do you agree to keep this girl in the herd, and notify Aria of all descendents? yes
Prompt Chosen: 3
Prompt Response: A place to rest was nice, but travel wasn't such a hardship. Being without her kiln, her glazes, her clay . . .

Aquillia had been gathering samples as they traveled. She tried to keep careful record of where each clay, sand, and mineral selection came from. But she didn't know if she'd ever see any of those places again. It was taking its toll on her, the uncertainty and frustration of not being able to create. But it just made her more quiet, more withdrawn.

She honestly hadn't noticed the resemblance of the new herd leaders to her sisters or how close a bond seemed to be growing. She spent a lot of her time at the nearby river bank, wishing she knew how to take that perfectly creamy clay along when they left or at some nearby slate deposits that would make a perfect foundation for a kiln . . . or five. She planned, staring into space, and getting more depressed, knowing it would not be.

Then she heard some of her sisters talking about Ch'aska spending a lot of time with Chromatos. She honestly didn't see the resemblance they whispered about . . . well maybe, a little, but then she didn't pay much attention to that kind of thing. But when Aquillia noticed them walking the rich, dark earth that she knew, from her own work with dirt, would make fertile fields for tender tea leaves, she almost caught herself hoping.

She started watching, paying attention to the rest of the area, to the rest of the strange herd. There was a lot of promise here. Aquillia calculated how many things this place and this herd met for what the sisters needed. Of course, other places had been close to as good. But other places didn't have Chromatos, who more and more seemed to be forming a true alliance with Ch'aska.

When the two finally approached the sisters, Aquillia just nodded and turned to walk away. She knew all she needed to and there was work to be done. By the time Ch'aska finished answering the other's questions and had a chance to find her, Aquillia was already busy working on the simple structure of the first kiln that would bake the bricks for the more crafting of a more delicate kiln. Aquillis didn't even notice if Ch'aska came to see her and wouldn't have understood if her sister had asked why she had left so precipitously. What mattered to Aquillia was that they had a place she could come back to, could work from, and could plan around. And if she wasn't precisely happy, she was content.

Preference List: Inkasisa (#3), Pacari (#1)

Soquili Name: Inkasisa [mare #3]
Personality: Equipped with an incredible singing voice that was evident from a young age, Inkasisa has never been afraid to turn a regular sentence mid-conversation into a song if she feels like it. She's known for turning historical stories into elaborate musical pieces, molding dry-sounding (in her humble opinion, of course) facts into poetic lyrics.
Quite vain interested in keeping up appearances, Inka always finds time to make sure her feathers are pristine. (Contrary to popular belief, she gets along surprisingly well with foals...) She's also developed a peculiar use for brewed tea leaves and steam: skin care. She'd be happy to share her beauty techniques with you at absolutely any time! (Whether you ask her to or not...) She loves giving make-overs and especially enjoys beautifying her sisters.
When Inka says she's a lover of all things beautiful, it's easy to assume she's talking about nature, but this also includes stallions...Inka is hopelessly romantic and easily infatuated. Her sisters might say "she falls in love like the wind," but perhaps it's simply her creative muses at work?
While normally described as gentle and caring, Inkasisa can also be a bit melancholy at times. She has regular bouts of "somber pouting" where she'll seem to pine away (most usually over a crush that didn't go accordingly, but just pretend she's a tortured soul--it's more artistic...). But those close to her see these little "episodes" as quite normal--an act of sorts, a particular mood which brings about all sorts of creativity for song-writing. When the mare is sighing away and gazing listlessly into the distance, it's common to see her sisters and friends telling her stories happily or seeking advice as if nothing were wrong. And Inkasisa will, perhaps strangely, reply normally as well despite her apparent gloom...
Sometimes Inka can be a bit too nonchalant or uncaring at times, but it's really because she's mostly content at all times. If asked what she'd prefer to eat or where she'd prefer to live, Inka may not give you a concrete answer. It's not necessarily because she doesn't care, but because really she's generally happy either way. A result of this trait is that she is of a truly forgiving nature and doesn't know how it feels to stay mad or hold a grudge. It can be quite difficult for someone to put her in a bad mood. (Besides, angry brows cause wrinkles!)

Job: Entertainer
Do you agree to keep this girl in the herd, and notify Aria of all descendents? Yes!
Prompt Chosen: 2
Prompt Response:

The scent of the flowers filled Inkasisa's nose in one steady inhale, and she closed her eyes to let it overtake her senses. Her mind sparked fireworks of memories of a dashing Suti-Kalona boy with a mischievous grin and eyes as bright as a hibiscus...she still remembered the way he had performed a live sacrifice to an ocean god in broad daylight...sure, her sisters had said he was frightening beyond all reason, especially when he began running around with four fish in his mouth at once, but Inka was willing to give him the benefit of a doubt and simply think of him as misunderstood. Come to think of it, had he really been Suti-Kalona? Or was it Kirin-Kalona...Walker-Kalona? Hm... Her eyes opened listlessly.

The sea was a brilliant blue beneath the afternoon sun. Too bad they were moving away from it instead of back toward it, walking so as to give their wings a much-needed rest. But it really was such a shame to leave the beach, she thought. There was always something to sing about near the water. And beach life seemed so idyllic, too. Eh, well...seemed. The sand was doing nothing for her feathers... Still, thinking of the beach did make her wonder why the lovely little oasis back in the desert had been passed by so quickly. She could've easily spent much more time there. Inka paused and scooped up a pawful of sand, and as she let it go, she watched how the white streams fell. The sand swirled into memories of a thick-bodied warhorse with hair so long and so black that he seemed to be a walking void, overwhelming everything in his path, including her gaze. She still remembered when he gently offered her a desert lily as she sang about the stars. She tucked the flower under her wing. He ate his. (...He had been a little uncouth...) But his eyes! Oh, his--...what color were they, again...? ...Well, whatever.

Inka's eyes lazily fixed themselves on the sky and followed the clouds overhead. A few lyrics danced through her mind, and she nearly sang them, except the rolling movements of the clouds distracted her with their slow rhythm. As they moved, they seemed to change into white trees. Such thick-trunked trees...they reminded her the forests they had passed through quite some time ago, and of a boyish little Flutter stallion, so lithe that he made a heron seem stout, and so playful that he made her feel much older than she was. She still remembered the way his wings felt when they accidentally brushed against her...the way he beamed when he showed off how small he could shrink himself, and how cute he was when he drank from a columbine. Come to think of it, he had gotten nectar all over her feathers...it was disgustingly sticky and had taken her hours to get out...eugh...

As the sun dipped slightly, Inkasisa was left to ponder the coming of another day's end. It felt like ages since the sisters had left their beloved homeland. The homesickness didn't sting much anymore, she found. When Inka glanced back at the sandy shores growing ever smaller, she thought instead that, once their journey had reached its end, she would feel a peculiar homesickness for the traveling rather than for their homeland itself. But the journey wasn't over yet. The heart-point was still calling out to them from some unknown place. And for Inka, that was a good thing. More time moving meant more to see--more beauty to take in, more inspiration to gather for song-writing, more memories to make. (Not to mention more chances to find that special someone...Sighhh~...maybe at the next stop...?)

Inkasisa supposed in the end that it had been a good thing that her sisters had chosen time and again to keep looking for a heart-point rather than to settle. Because that's all they would've been doing--settling. And why settle for less when you can have the best? And didn't the group--her family, the ones most precious to her--deserve the best? Of course they did...

(And so did she!)

Soquili Name: Pacari [mare #1]
Personality: Hard-working and unusually determined to better herself, Pacari was a unique source an inspiration to her friends (and maybe even sisters) growing up. She works hard, tries hard, and is also hard on herself. It's all in the spirit of achieving perfection! Okay, actually it isn't... The truth is, Pacari is a little...clumsy. (Okay, she's a complete klutz, but keep it on the down-low 'cause you might hurt her feelings!) So she works hard to prove herself and make up for any minor...um...oopsies. Prone to messing up even the simplest of tasks, you might expect there to be some hesitation when it comes to assigning Pacari with a job or favor, but her determination to make others happy and her refusal to give up counteracts any fears of stumbling blocks along the way. And anyone who knows Pacari knows that no matter the slip-ups, she somehow manages to work everything out in the end.
As mentioned above, Pacari is always focused on making others happy. She'll always give you a listening ear and do her utmost to give you the best advice ever because she really cares about you! This even applies to most strangers. A sometimes unfortunate accompanying trait is that she can be a bit clueless when faced with things like sarcasm and flirting...
Unusually small-framed in comparison to her sisters, Pacari is a bit on the lithe side. (Okay, so she's the absolute smallest of all her sisters, let's try not to be insensitive about it...) While not quite as impressive as any pure-blooded flying breed, her small stature and light weight gives her a leg up in terms of speed, making her useful for speedy deliveries.

Job: Trader/Messenger
  • Messengers are used to relay important information to herds that the Tea Traders are in business with. If something urgent comes up, such as limited stock a particular herd/group might be eager to get in on for various reasons, or healing teas a herd/group is in desperate need of that may not have been in stock before, the messenger goes to notify them and said herd can either send someone to trade on their behalf, or sometimes the Messenger is able to complete the trade themselves upon arrival if agreements were made beforehand.

Do you agree to keep this girl in the herd, and notify Aria of all descendents? Yes!
Prompt Chosen: 1
Prompt Response:

The nighttime humidity filled Pacari's throat and she drank it in, resting her eyes on the full moon overhead solemnly. She nestled closer to a cluster of banana trees and the smallest of sighs sounded through her closed lips. Her bag was sitting alone in a clearing ahead, bulgy and awkward-looking from all the odds-and-ends she had packed--jewelry, childhood keepsakes, snacks, her favorite gourd, stomachache herbs, her beetle shell collection, a pet rock one of her Cockatoo friends gave her...there was a lot of history in that bag.

This is a good thing, Pacari... a bodiless voice echoed. She shook it away and took a deep breath. She had tried hard to remain the undaunted optimist as usual. Everyone knew she loved adventure. And she loved to accept a challenge any chance she could. New experiences meant to memories, and she had encouraged others with that mentality time and again in the past. But as much as those thoughts anchored themselves in her mind, there was a nagging realization that she was failing to stamp out...

She was scared. Scared of new places...scared of change...scared of the unknown. But she didn't tell her sisters that. It wouldn't have been like her. She was used to feeling like the comic-relief, she'd admit. But she wasn't complaining! It didn't bother her at all. It was just part of her personality. It was easier take on the role of the smiling fool--"she whose feathers are never ruffled", as the ancient adage went (well, something like that...she never was good with history). Roll with the punches, laugh when you want to cry. But that was they way she was. That was the way things were, and had always been. Oh, there goes little Pacari, always looking like she hasn't even grown into her wings yet! Oh, Pacari, there she goes spilling supplies again, can't she do anything right?

Suddenly rising to her feet, the mare trotted into flight and glided over the canopy below. She slowed at the approach of the tallest Kapok tree in the area. She landed easily in one of its branches, claws digging gently into its bark. It was a familiar feeling. She felt safe there. Her eyes wandered over the land below--the sights of little lights, moonlight hitting water, family and friends gliding below as they performed before-bed routines...the sounds of muffled laughter, quiet chiming of jewelry, wind through thick leaves and grasses...her home. And then she realized what she was actually scared of...

Failing. They would go out and just fail. All that traveling, all that sacrifice, everything they left behind...pointless. They would all--...no...it wasn't them...

She was scared that she would fail. Somehow she'd be responsible for ruining everything. It was no secret that she was clumsy. But this time, it wouldn't be comical. It wouldn't be cute. It wouldn't earn empathy. It would just be...disappointing. It would hurt her sisters. She would hurt her sisters. And there would be nothing she could do to make it up to them. Somehow, some way, she would cause the entire plan to go up in smoke and ruin absolutely everything.

A pair of crickets began to play their songs in the branches above her, and their shrill tune snapped Pacari out of her downward spiral. She blinked and found the insects with her eyes. The moon was an enormous backdrop for their concert. A smile tugged at her lips and she closed her eyes. She let the ambiance overtake her. More crickets began to join in the symphony. They were so small, Pacari thought, and the world was so big. There were so many crickets, too--more than could ever be counted. But not just here...there were crickets all over the world. They were all happy to just be alive, she realized. Happy just to play a song every night as long as they were able, unafraid of where they lived. Unafraid of what tomorrow would bring. Unafraid of where they had to travel in order to be heard...

When Pacari opened her eyes again, they were blazing with a special kind of determination. The smile remained on her face and she looked off into the distance, past the canopy, past her homeland, and into the horizon. There was a whole world to see, and tomorrow she and her sisters would be able to see it. Nothing could last forever. Sometimes change was necessary. And that was okay. Because she could adapt. They all could, together. She'd work hard to help them make the best trade group ever. If she ever messed up, she could work twice as hard to make up for it and improve herself. She'd never give up. And her sisters would be there to cheer her on. She wouldn't be alone. No matter how far she traveled or where they ended up, her sisters would always be there for her. No matter where they went, they'd be okay because life could be lived anywhere.

"Tomorrow~," Pacari sang with the crickets, smiling peacefully.

"Tomorrow~..."

Soquili Name: Parasamani (Combination of two Incan words. Literal translation means "rain, I breathe" though it's a fair assumption that it is supposed to mean "I breathe the rain")
Preference List: 1 (dark), 3 (eyelashes), 2 (earrings)
Personality:
Parasamani is quiet, often filled with daydreams .It's long been the tradition of the herb to trade in tea, which is all fine and good. But Parasamani has aspirations to create something different---and not with tea. (Explanation in Job). She can't sing or entertain to save her life, but she excels with her mind. Often when she starts to talk about her ideas of bettering trade, her eyes light up and she winds up going off on tangents as new ideas seize her. This is when she is at her most confident and impassioned.

She's fond of little creatures and is willing to be a taste tester/guinea pig for her sibling's to try stuff on.

It takes a lot to get her flustered (except for performing). You couldn't ask for a kinder, nicer sibling. Though she might get a little vacant when she's thinking on ways to make their trade better.

Job: Okay, this isn't on the list but I think it could work (if not, she'd be a bearer and trader.)

Welcome to the Carrier Bird Service!

With an affinity for animals, especially birds, Parasamani gets the bright idea to teach her flock of birds that she's acquired to send tea and other small items. Basically, this would be done by flying the route over with the bird, letting it learn the way, and rewarding it when it did well.

This method of delivery would be low cost/low risk after she establishes the system. This is not for just any delivery, but a special system of delivery for those herds or individuals who buy frequent but smaller batches of tea and items.

(I figured for the most part this would be carried via Ravens/Crows though she would experiment to see if she could find a Condor that would cooperate to carry bigger parcels like a teapot, etc)

This would enable faster deliveries for medicinal herbs and teas.

Do you agree to keep this girl in the herd, and notify Aria of all descendents? Of course, honestly, who wouldn't?

Prompt Chosen: 2
Prompt Response: (I left out mention of the two other siblings as I felt it was not appropriate to RP some personality quirk/fact since I don't know what they really are).

Everyday brought new wonder to Parasamani's life.

They had set out to establish their own herd and trade routes. How long ago was it? She tried to think of the precise day, but realized that she couldn't remember exactly. There was so much beauty to revel in each day that she did not often think with regret on the old places. What she had left behind, she had left behind her except in memory.

Each spot they came to, she thought was more beautiful than the last. The way the stars shone across the lake at one stopping point had made it seem as though the earth and the sky were one. She had thought that perhaps, she might even be able to walk straight up into the heavens.

She hadn't though, because the truth was she didn't want to ruin that dream. Parasamani stored away that moment in her heart, carrying only the important things with her. The way Ch'aska Qyullur looked pouring tea. The steam softly rising making her feathers curl around her neck. The way Killasisa always smells more strongly of tea than her other siblings, as though she is tea itself. The way Quri Pacha's voice sounded as she sang, sweet as falling rain on parched ground.

Parasamani carried a lot of things in the packs on her back, but most she carried in her heart. Because the things that mattered to her most besides her teapot, were her sisters and the memories they made with each other.

They would find a heart-point soon, a new base for home. But her wings would never be forced to stay idle or her eyes made to see the same things day in, day out. Because the journey would never truly end. They would forge new paths, new trade routes, and friendships. Each place would always be more beautiful than the last.

Soquili Name: Pariapichiu (Parry for short) (meaning sparrow)
Preference List: Dark Rainbow, Light Rainbow, Purple Rainbow
Personality:
Pariapichiu is loyal, kind, caring to those in her small circle of acquaintances (her sisters basically) and has a great deal of love for said sisters, they are her world and she can't praise them to highly to anyone that asks, though privately she knows that they have the same annoyances and fallings out of anyone, they are siblings after all! Beyond any squabbling or annoying habits they are her world, and she feels she would be lost without them.

She relies a great deal on them because they are her sanctuary in the world, she has some anxiety issues and knows that they are the only ones that have the patience to put up with her when she has to remove everything from her pack and replace it time after time because there was something 'not right' with it the first few times of her packing it, or are able to keep their temper when she can't or feels unable do her jobs as her heart is racing and her belly in knots with panic over some unseen peril out there.

Pariapichiu would love to be free of all her nervies (as she calls them) and live her day with ease and be as confident in herself as her sisters, there's a deep part of her that would love to greet each new place with enjoyment instead of panic and not fill her days with the little rituals that uses to control her world and keep herself calm.

Job: General Assistant - I noted that alot of the roles require the Soquili involved to have a good head and memory for their specific role, and I figured that what would be invaluable to them would be someone who is very organised but happiest when assisting as they don't feel confident enough to take on a role that would require great responsibility.
This is Pariapichiu, with her need to have everything organised yet her anxiety issues only really allowing her to be calm around her sisters, she could not see herself being a trader as that would mean talking and being outgoing to strangers and that thought would cause her to tremble.
She is far happier being a helping paw behind the scenes as it were.

Prompt Response:

No, no, no, no, no, no. It was surely just a joke, some words said in jest, rather than ones that caused a cold shiver to go down Pariapichiu's back, her hearrt to start skipping along at a quickened pace and even, yes, her paw pads actually got damp with sweat, and she gave a little wince, she would have to clean them after Ch'aska had finished speaking, but now she was half distracted by panic at what her elder sister had said and half distracted by the fact that her sweat damp feet were picking up mud and debris.

Could she really do this? Eventually Ch'aska had finished outlining the plan, what was going to happen, when they would be going and the fact that as everyone had to carry their own belongings it would be best to pack light. So Pariapichiu was on her own, she'd hurried off straight after the meeting had broken up, washing her sweat and mud covered paws over and over in a stream, patting them dry on leaves and then neatly folding the leaves to discard them.

She stood looking at the gently flowing water as it drifted past her, wishing that she was as laid back as the stream, the sound of her heart in her ears, as she tried to master her panic at what was to happen. She tried to think of ways out of the move, but every avenue just seemed to lead to the same place, the same conclusion, for it had seemed to her that Ch'aska had been more definate that this move was happening, and Pariapichiu knew that she had to leave. By now she'd worked herself into a state again and her cleaning had been quite undone.

She looked at the stream through teary eyes, and had to blink a couple of times, thinking at first she was seeing two of herself. It was one of her sister's reflections though, as it was joined by another and another, and soon all 5 of her sisters were reflected in the rippling water, standing by her, as they always had. In her initial panic she had forgotten, and as they pressed against her, one placing a paw upon on one of Pariapichiu's forepaws, one laying a wing across her back she remembered that her sisters would be there for her. They knew her, knew what her reaction would be and now Pariapichiu knew what she was packing, what she would carry with her when they left their current home, though she also knew on her part it would be reluctantly and on very shaky legs.

Her sisters love. Her sisters patience. She could do this move. She would with their support. And she was thankful.

*Note: Nowhere did it say which 4 sisters were going, I assumed that Ch’aska was one of the 4 since her name comes up in the last prompt so for argument sake I’m using the one I’m RPing for and the 3 already owned ones above in the thread*

The morning was clear and cool with a comfortable breeze softly blowing causing the feathers on Inkasisa’s head do dance around. The sun casted a soft light on the dew covered grass as she made her way to the main tent system for she had heard from one of her other sisters that Ch'aska had an announcement for them. Flicking her tail feathers as she walked, Inka came upon the shelter which had been placed up by elder members of the herd. Silently she stood in the back of the crowd as Ch’aska gathered the attention of the other horses to give everyone her big news. ”Today is a big day for the Tea traders” She began, finally creating a silence among the other bodies in the enclosed area. ”Our herd has become quite a feat, our trades are growing ever more abundant and this has brought us to the attention that an expanse must be made. The size of our herd, as it stands, is quite larger than the day it was founded and this is both great as well as problematic.” Inkasisa continued to listen to Ch’aska as she spoke with a defining voice that commanded everyone's attention. ”An expansion is necessary in our time of greatness. Sales have brought us enough that we have build up our supplies and a select groups of the herd will be chosen to travel to a new location. This region we have called home for so long is far too small to support the number of bodies as well as space to continue to grow the necessary supplies. So we feel that this move is necessary and will help us to expand our trades into other regions.” All of the other horses seemed quite surprised with this announcement. Never had they thought that their family herd would be separated and the topic brought to their attentions had gotten them into conversations varied from ‘this is unheard of’ to ‘this will bring plenty of more sales options for the herd and make us even more successful.’

Inkasisa left the tent before the speech had been finished, she wasn’t sure if she was nervous or excited for this event to be happening, those feelings are very close and easily confused after all. Making her way towards the supply tent, Inka was just going to continue on with her day as she normally would. Collecting the supplies for the daily sales and traveling them to the usual places with which they would do most of their trades was among one of her jobs that she was given being one of the younger members of the herd. Eventually she will learn how to do one of the more skillful jobs but for now she was content with just helping out in any way she can. After filling her bag with the herbs and pottery they often sold on this day, Inka turned to leave the tent when another figure emerged from the canvas cloth, Ch'aska looked up at Inkasisa with a relieved look. ”I have been searching all over for you since I saw you leave the tent before. I was hoping to speak with you before you begin your shift at the trades booth.” Inkasisa tilted her head with curiosity, why would she need to talk to her? She figured it had something to do with what her speech was about but she couldn’t figure out why it would have anything to do with her. ”I was just preparing to leave. I wanted to get an early start on setting up the supplies for sales.” Ch’aska smiled at her as she often did, she clearly enjoyed the enthusiasm that Inkasisa always showed for simple tasks that were provided to her. ”That has something to do with what I’d like to talk to you about.” Inka paused for a moment before looking Ch’aska in the eyes, she was slightly worried that maybe she had been doing something wrong at some point and was unaware of it. ”Have I done something to upset anyone? Because I was pretty sure these are the supplies that I was asked to retrieve and-” She was quickly cut off by the rainbow marked horse as she offered a chuckle and a sigh of amusement to the immediate worry the younger horse had provided. ”No, no. Nothing like that.” Ch’aska lowered her wings to offer Inka a less intimidating posture so to show her that there was no concern for the conversation which would follow. ”Then I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to say, Ch’aska.” Inkasisa’s face was contorted with confusion as she awaited an explanation from the elder mare. ”Well as you’re aware the herd will be expanding, a group of horses will be chosen to travel a long distance to build an off site group where we can trade with other areas of the world.” Ch’aska began in a calm voice. ”Well you’re one of the mares we are hoping to send on this journey.” Inkasisa was shocked and unsure of how to respond to this sort of request. Never had it crossed her mind that she would be chosen to leave the place she had always called home. ”Buy, why me? I’m still in training and have very little experience compared to many of the other horses in the herd.” Ch’aska offered her a smile of recognition, a warm and inviting grin that was intended to calm Inka down a little. ”You were chosen because of your excitement and eagerness to learn more. You have shown me that you have what it takes to be on this journey. A burning ambition is necessary for the travels we are asking of the group to embark upon.” Ch’aska gave a moment in between her words before speaking her next words, just so she can be sure that Inkasisa is actually taking in what she is saying. ”Inkasisa, I trust that you will do exactly what you need to so you can become a very successful merchant. Your self initiated lessons to move yourself towards becoming an herbalist have impressed not only me but many of the other horses in this herd. I really do think that this journey is exactly what you need to finally push yourself to become someone great.” Inkasisa took in the words that were spoken to her in the most positive manner she could. It was still difficult for her to completely understand what is expected of her but as usual she was ready and willing to prove her worth in any way possible. ”Well if you really feel that way then I guess I’m your mare.” She gave Ch’aska a nervous laugh in an attempt to make herself less worried about this situation but it was obvious that she was faking it. ”Don’t worry my dear sister, I will be alongside you on your travels. You will never be alone for I will always be there to help you along.” The bright smile Ch’aska offered Inkasisa was one of genuine beauty and that alone set Inka at ease. ”Thank you, I’m sure it will be a fun adventure.”

The next morning, Inkasisa awoke bright and early to get her bags packed for her travels ahead. She was unsure of what one packs for such an adventure for this would be the first time she actually left her home base for longer than a day or two. Sifting through her personal belongings she came upon a string of beads which were slew together to form a bracelet. The colors glistened with silver swirls spiraling in the purple and blue orbs which created an elegant appearance when placed together in such a manner. It was a gift that Killasisa had given to her when she was much younger and it provided her a symbol of her family bonds within the herd itself. Sticking it in a small pocket laid within one of the pouches of her carrying pack, Inkasisa left her sleeping quarters for what would probably be the last time and made her way to find Ch’aska. Still nervous about whether her decision to bring Inka along was a good or bad one she knew that it had been made and there was no changing it now. The air was crisp with an early morning fog which created a hazy glow around the lighting which was provided around the supply tents. The sun had not risen yet and it was still quite dark but Inkasisa knew that if they were leaving today it was going to be while it was still early.

Lowering her head to eat some of the fresh grass she heard a familiar voice from around a tent speak up towards her direction. Lifting her head from the ground she smiled for she knew exactly who was addressing her. ”Killasisa I thought it was going to be too early to be graced with your presence.” One of the things she was afraid of is that she wouldn’t get to say her farewell to the one whom she saw as her personal mentor. ”Too early? Oh dear me, I’m going with you!” She grinned at Inkasisa as she turned her head backwards to see Ch’aska approaching them. Inka was so thrilled to find out that Killa was going when them and when Ch’aska finally came up to them, Inkasisa couldn’t help but ask; ”Is Quri coming as well?” ”But of course!” Ch’aska replied as she tucked her wings tight to her side. ”We’re just waiting for her to be done packing and we can be on our way.” Inkasisa was now completely relaxed for she knew that the three horses that were joining her were really experienced ones in the arts of trade. This was going to make their voyage much easier on her in many ways, especially since she was already quite close and comfortable to them.

Soquili Name: Kachi-Kachi

Preference List: White/Purple[3], Darker Colored[1], White/Blue[2]

Personality: Kachi-Kachi is an extremely curious girl. Every new place they go to, she tries to learn everything she can about the area. Not only just the area itself, but also the stories from those who live there. Some may consider her to be extremely nosy because of this, but, it does come in handy when someone needs to know something about an area.
Not only is she curious, she's also extremely kind and helpful to those around her and to those they come upon. She almost always has some sort of small treat for any foals she encounters.
While she has many good qualities about her, there is the fact that she is also extremely protective of her sisters. So protective that if any of them starts getting close to another pony, she'll start to question the other pony, to the point where it almost seems obnoxious. She just doesn't want to see her sisters get hurt. They went through so much to get to this point in their lives, it would be sad to have any of them hurt.

Job: Entertainer/Storyteller. With all the stories that she learns from others in the places they travel, she has a huge amount of stories to share with foal and adults alike.

Do you agree to keep this girl in the herd, and notify Aria of all descendents? Yes

Prompt Chosen: Prompt 1

Prompt Response:
Kachi-Kachi looked around her and tried to take in the scenery as she packed. She was scared to be leaving their home. The home that they all grew up in. Her thoughts were going wild as she grabbed a sparkling rock she had found on one of her many adventures here in their home. Not only were they moving, but, she didn't have room to take all of her most valued possessions with her, and that made her sad as well. Having to pick and choose amongst her items that each had their own story, how could she ever do it?!

Placing the rock back down, Kachi sighed, as her eyes started to fill with tears. "I'm going to miss everything here. What if I forget all my precious memories that I have? My family has had so so so many wonderful adventures here."

The tears started to fall as she looked around at the items she had to choose from. Her gaze landed on the sparkling rock once more, and she couldn't help but smile as she looked at it. It brought back so many memories of the day she had found it. The more she looked at it, the happier she felt, and she decided on something right then and there.
She would not let her memories fade simply because she didn't have her precious items anymore. No. She would turn them into stories. Stories she could share with those in the new land, so they could learn of the things her and her sisters did and their home herd. Not only would she tell them her stories, she would collect their stories, so that way she would have something to share with members of her home herd here, if she ever got the chance to come back. Grabbing the sparkling rock, she placed it in her bag, and declared herself to be done packing.

Soquili Name: Asiri - 'smile, smiling' - Fitting due to the constant, inviting smile present when dealing with potential buyers.
Preference List: Dark Mare, Eyelashes Mare, Earring Mare
Personality: Asiri is, uniquely, a genuinely good mare. She is genuinely, unfailingly kind and well-meaning in all that she does. That's what makes her so good at her job. Honest with all things, Asiri isn't afraid to tell you what she truly thinks about you - even if she has to bend her tongue over backwards to find the words to say it in a more tactful way. Although generally a very happy and eager mare, it does not take long for Asiri to grow bored and restless, which oftentimes leads to a bit of whining on her part. One of her core beliefs is that life can only be enriched by new experiences, and so when she is immobile she feels that valuable life is being completed wasted. And she won't hesitate to let you know that.
Job: Lore Keeper. Asiri loved the Herd with all of her heart and really does have a passion for the teas they trade. On top of that, she is rather charming, and really does know how to influence a buyer. She's not manipulative! Just, uh, convincing. We'll go with that.

At Ch'aska's announcement, it was difficult for Asiri not to do a little jig right then and there. Hiding a coy smile, she glanced at her sisters, noting a variation of reactions. Annoyance, excitement, anger, and even a tinge of fear were all present on the faces of the mares gathered 'round. But none of them were bursting like Asiri.

The smile she tried to suppress suddenly grew brilliant as the words bowled out of her mouth. "Oh, Ch'aska, this is wonderful news!" She then realized how that must sound to those sisters who were fearful about leaving their family, their friends. Lowering her head a bit, bobbing it sideways in a shrug-like motion, she glanced back up, around at her sisters. "I mean," she started, even though everyone knew what she meant. It had been no secret that Asiri was getting antsy, unhappy with glimpsing the same faces and same lands sundown after sundown. As much as she adored those around her, she needed change. "I mean," she began again, "what better way to build a loyal customer base than to spread our wares throughout the land?"

Glancing around, Asiri felt her confidence grow a bit, realizing this could be a good argument to reassure those sisters less keen about Ch'aska's plan. "Our family here will do a wonderful job of continuing trade with the locals," she explained, "But we could be doing so much more. Think about it: we could be so much more helpful, as a whole, if we covered a larger... geographic area. It's silly to waste our time and efforts on buyers and traders who already maintain loyalty to us." Asiri glanced around, particularly eyeing up Ch'aska, wanting to make sure she was not stepping on her eldest sister's toes. "I think Ch'aska's idea is brilliant. We'll contribute to the family a lot more that way, and we'd be hard-pressed to convince ourselves otherwise."

Having said her piece, Asiri stepped back, lowing her head in Ch'aska's direction, silently hoping that she'd done well to convince the sisters to be more confident in the idea of becoming a smaller, nomadic herd. Although, "hoping" wasn't quite the right word. Because, really, she knew she'd done it. She always did. Asiri smiled to herself, eager. Only time could tell the new adventures the future held. And she couldn't wait to see what they were.

Soquili Name: Moraekah (Navtive American-Incan: Heavenly Messenger)
Preference List: Dark with Rainbow
Personality: Moraekah is for better or worse a bookworm. There are few times you will not find her with her nose buried deep into her research. Many times she'll even loose sleep to her constant reading and studying. Once she's fully learned what she can from each piece of material or sometimes even artifacts, she'll trade them for new materials to learn from. If the information collected is important enough, she'll impart it to her sisters and their herd in general. Other than that, all knowledge is shared to other scholars and future ones too. Morae will also take knowledge from the other scholars as each has their own chosen field. Her field being history as she feels that the past will lead to the future. Despite being a variable walking, flying librarian, many find her to be very standoffish and rude. Most after they interrupt her reading and get snapped at for it. When not engrossed in her studies, Moraekah will be found under a tree enjoying the peace that nature brings. She's very docile and only aggressive when interrupted.

When it's time to go out onto their trade routes she will be laden down with not only her stuff to trade but excess from her sisters and other traders in the group as well. She's very used to carrying heavy loads and has developed a strong body to endure the weight and stay on track when they fly. Although, she really doesn't like to fly. It's not because she's afraid of being so high up, it's just that she enjoys the feel of firm ground beneath her paws. She understands why they must fly but as soon as she can land she will. She bemoans the fact that ground travel is not as fast each time. Her love of traveling and trading keeps her from disclosing this to her sisters. She's not sure how they would take to her preference for the earth. Also, being as she is non-confrontational, she would hate to stir up trouble for nothing. She deeply loves her family and would never want to cause them distress even if it meant keeping her preferences to herself.
Job: Scholar
Many the herd trade in physical aspects. Those who are scholars trade for knowledge. They must know everything, some in a specific field and some in general. In as much as they collect this knowledge they also share it with the herd. These Soq will typically fill the roles of teachers or mentors as well. They are also Bearers due to hauling around their heavy reading material.
Do you agree to keep this girl in the herd, and notify Aria of all descendents? But of course~
Prompt Chosen: 2
Prompt Response: The journey thus far and been long and full of wonderful new knowledge. So much so that poor Morae and to pick somethings over others. Each time they took a rest she spent most of it reading or studying where they stayed. There was just so much going on that she even did not mind all the flying she was doing. How nice it would be for them to finally make it to the 'home' spot. It was during one of the rests that caused her to think back to the last place they had stayed a little longer than most.

For her it had been perfect! There was an actual library fairly close that held so much knowledge for her. It was very heavenly for her. Somehow she had convinced her sisters to stay a day or two longer than they needed. She spent all that time reading endlessly. It wasn't until the last day they were there that the spot was vacated and they moved on. It made her sad as she lost some of her things. What can you do though, when you find out they spot you so love is pretty much right on top of a walker den. Thankfully they were able to get out before any of them got hurt. Moraekah felt guilty about it and still did! Her sisters could have lost their lives! From that moment on, thus far, she had followed without questioning or begging they stay longer. No matter how much she may want to. She knew Ch'aska would lead them to the perfect place for them all and it would be safe. With that thought she turned from the bookshop she had been eying that caused these memories to surface. All the knowledge in the world would never replace her family.
