Amazing? That was a bit of a stretch. "Yes. I can fly. It's...it's wonderful." Elsbeth always felt free when she was in the sky. It made her feel like nothing could touch her. Kevin changing the topic made her mind snap back to reality. "I'm not sure...I talked to the head master about my interests, but I think my dad already picked out my classes. He's a bit of a control freak." Hopefully he had put her in classes she would enjoy.

Elsbeth closed her eyes and thought about the odd things that had been happening before she left. Things dying around her, magical abilities seeming to come forward, and she had sworn she had shifted her form once. That was one thing she kept to herself. Maybe it was just a dream. That would be nice.

Adam listened to her, the hunger inside making him want to grab her and go. "I was wrong. You're not stupid or brave. You're insane." He stood up, book in hand, and walked over to her. "I have a better place to go. The woods is too...there are too many things that could happen." Gently, he took her hand and introduced himself. "I'm Adam." With that, he led her to a spot he enjoyed going, knowing that no one else came here.

It was a little cove that had some shining crystals in it. It always amazed him that no one came here. "So...this feeling that you're being drawn to me...what's it like?" Adam had heard tales of soul mates, but he never believed them. If they were real, would the world be so cruel to match him to this girl? She deserved better.

Kevin listened to her and nodded. "Well that's not very fair.. I don't think parents are allowed." he said, thinking about the rules of the college. Looking at her he tipped his head to the side. "So.. you must be pretty special to be here.. your people don't normally come here." he said, thinking back. "I mean.. I don't think there has ever been someone like you here before." he added. He smiled at her, wanting her to know it wasn't an insult he was giving her.

Scooting a little closer to her he smiled and then looked up to the sky, watching the clouds go by. It was amazing to watch the shapes and patters. His hand played in a soft spot of grass, slowly trying to cast a spell to make a flower grow. He had done it once before, and he was hoping it would work again now.

Willow smiled when he took her hand and introduced himself. "Willow." she said softy, feeling something strange when he grabbed her hand. She followed him easily, walking around the campus with him. When they arrived at the room with crystals she gasped and looked around. "This is beautiful." she whispered, closing her eyes and enjoying the feeling of this space. It was calming and peaceful, yet so energetic and happy all at the same time. When he asked why she was drawn to him she shrugged. "I am not sure." she whispered.

"I can't really describe it.." she said, looking at him. "You feel it too.. I can tell." she said lightly. "The way you just look at me I can tell you feel it." she said. "It's very strange.. but makes me feel warm inside." she said lightly.

Elsbeth shrugged, not really caring. "It's fine. He'd pick out what is best for me." When Kevin said she must be special to come here she didn't know what to say. Should she tell him why she was here? When she was her head turned to him, noticing that he was closer. "I...I've been having issues back home, and no one there knows how to handle them. So, they sent me here. They figured someone here would be able to teach me how to deal with the issues."

She noticed his hand playing in the grass and watched. Soon there was a flower growing there. Elsbeth sat up and went to pick it, but as soon as her fingers touched it it withered and died. No..."I need to go." The girl got up and started to walk away quickly, not wanting to possibly hurt Kevin. It wouldn't be fair to him.

"That's a beautiful name." Adam was happy to see she enjoyed this place. "You can come here when ever you want. It's not like I can call this my own." It was property of the school, and no one else. So she could tell he was drawn to her. "It's very difficult to keep any secrets from you, isn't it?" He moved closer to her and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, running his hand down to her neck. "You don't make this easy for me. Rejecting you, I mean."

It wasn't every day a girl came up to him and offered to be his meal. Especially one he found himself drawn to. If only she was just an ordinary girl. "You need to be sure that you want me to try this. It's not some weird mind game that your emotions are playing on you." Why was he being so cautious?

Kevin looked at her and smiled, happy she was so comfortable being close to him. When he moved his hand away from the grass he was happy to see a beautiful little flower. When she reached out to it and it died he looked at her touch. He looked at her as she got up and rushed away, looking back down at the dead flower. He was surprised that she had run away, so she had an issue with things.

He followed the path away from his favorite spot and walked around, confused as to why she had run away. He shook his head, determined to get to know her more and get closer with her.

Willow smiled when he called her name beautiful and then looked at him and smiled brightly when he said she could come here whenever she wanted. "No one can." she said sadly. When he touched her hair and neck she felt a shiver go through her body. Smiling at him she nodded. "No.. I want to try this." she whispered to him.

Reaching out she touched his chest gently, resting her hands there. She nodded at him and smiled at him and then leaned closer to him. "Don't make yourself reject me." she whispered. "Just.. let yourself feel and do something for once." she whispered.

Elsbeth ended up up at the edge of the woods, a river in front of her. She fell to her knees and kept her hands clasped. She had to figure out what was happening. There was another flower in front of her and she reached out and touched it. This time, it didn't die. Taking a deep breath, she tried to figure out what was happening. It had been causing her to pull away from everyone, and it wasn't fair.

She wiped a tear away, feeling like she was finally breaking down. How could her father ship her off here and not tell her what was going on? He knew what this was. He had even said he did.

Adam listened to her, knowing he had to give in. He pulled her closer, his hand on her hip. "Just push me away if you want me to stop." He put his other hand behind her head and let his fangs sink into her neck. He didn't care what was making her do this. He was just happy to give in to his desires. As soon as her blood hit his tongue he knew this was a mistake. It tasted so good.

HE pulled her closer, his fingers tangling in her hair. Adam had to remind himself that he couldn't lose himself in this. Willow had to live. After a bit he pulled his fangs from her neck, licking the wound. What had he been thinking?

Kevin sighed as he walked back up to the castle that he would call home for the next few months. Looking at the window that belonged to the room Elsbeth was staying in he snapped his fingers and went to the grass and made a bunch of flowers for her and picked them. He put a spell on them so that they were sealed up, and wouldn't ever wilt and die. He smiled and took them to her room, moving inside he noticed where her things were and put them on the desk closest to her bed. He smiled as he laid them all out and then wrote her a note, explaining that the flowers couldn't die, and also letting her know where his room was in case she wanted to come see him.

With that done he headed to his own room to finish unpacking. He was putting all his things easily into the trunk at the end of the bed, used to the room and where he liked everything. It was easy for him, he had been here last year. Even his first year hadn't been hard. Last year hadn't seemed like much to him, but this year he was excited to find Elsbeth.

Willow gasped when his fangs entered her. She let out a soft moan as he started to drink, and pulled him closer when he pulled on her. She shivered when he licked the bite closed and then rest her head against his chest, shivering against him, though not because she was cold. Glancing up at him she gave him a weak smile and then settled back into his arms, not sure what to do. There were so many feelings running through her right now, and she was certain if he let go of her she would fall to the ground.

"Wow." she whispered. "That was really.. very good." she said softly. She still held onto him, not quite ready to let go yet. Finally she glanced up at him and gave him a dazzling smile, her eyes glinting with emotion. "That was very special." she whispered.

After letting herself cry, Elsbeth got up and went to her room. She was about to unpack when she saw the flowers. When she read the note she felt tears started to fill her eyes again. She left the room, heading to see Kevin. She needed to see him. Being with someone would help her right now. When she got there she hesitated to knock on the door. What if he had a room mate that didn't want her there? She sighed and then knocked, hoping this wasn't a mistake. Why did she feel like she needed to go see him? Why couldn't she find Willow instead?

As she waited, Elsbeth thought about Kevin's reaction to what she was going to tell him. He seemed trust worthy enough. Plus, Willow had said she got being a bit of a black sheep. If Kevin hung around her he wouldn't turn her away, right? Maybe a bit of her powers could be kept to herself. There was no reason to freak him out.

Adam looked at Willow and kept his grip on her. It was easy to tell that she was a bit dizzy right now. He sank to the ground, having her sit on his lap. "You can't tell anyone I did that. I will be kicked out...In a best case scenario." He ran his hand down her arm and sighed lightly. "I don't understand why I did that. I shouldn't have given in. I know that I'm going to want it again, and that's not fair to you."

He fixed the cloak she had on, wanting to make sure she was warm enough. It was getting colder out, and he didn't want her being uncomfortable. "Dinner time is going to be soon. We should head back. I..I'd like to talk to you more. With no blood involved." Adam really was drawn to her, and he didn't know why.

Kevin moved over to his closed door, glad he had once again gotten a single room. He didn't need someone else in his personal space, and was glad his parents could pay for him to have a private room to himself. He walked over and opened the door, a grin splitting his face when he realized who it was. "Did you get my flowers then?" he asked with a smile. He opened the door farther to let her in, leaving it open as he walked back over to the bed to push some of the things aside so she could sit.

"Sorry about the mess. I was just unpacking." he said with a smile, looking back over at her. He couldn't believe she had actually come over here. It was great to know she thought enough of him to come over here when she needed him. "Come in and sit down." he said.

Willow snuggled in his lap and nodded. "I won't." she promised. When he started to doubt himself she reached up and covered his mouth. "I liked it too.. every once in a while it will be nice to come here and do that." she said with a smile. "It's perfectly fair if I agree." she said with a smile. Then she frowned when he said they should leave.

Reaching up she cast a quick spell on her neck to heal the small punctures quickly so no one would know. Then she smiled and nodded. "I would really like that." she admitted lightly. "You know where my room is if you would like to talk after classes." she said with a smile.

Elsbeth looked up at Kevin when the door opened, surprised that he seemed happy to see her. "I did." She walked in and closed the door, not wanting anyone to hear their conversation. "Oh, it's okay. I...I don't think I'm going to stay long. I just wanted to apologize for earlier." This was going to be more difficult than she thought. Staying by the door, she crossed her arms and looked at the floor. "You mentioned my kind not usually being here, and that's because most of my people aren't freaks...Like me."

This had to be said. "Earlier when I went to pick that flower I killed it. I've been killing things a lot lately. Then I have these weird magical powers, and...and one day I woke up and wasn't human. I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. I don't know what's happening, and no one else does. So I was sent here to figure out why I'm such a mess." He'd be kicking her out any second now.

Adam looked at her when she covered his mouth, a smirk forming under her hand. He took her hand and removed it, nodding lightly. "Okay. Then we'll do it once in a while." He watched her do her magic on her neck and then stood up, helping her stand. "Even if I didn't know where it is I could still find it." He led her out and into the main area, sighing lightly. "I think dinner will be ready soon for the non-vampire students."

It was still strange to think that he was some how tied to this girl. It had to be real though. They both felt it. How could they both be imagining something? It was impossible. "Maybe if I'm lucky you'll be in one of my classes." It was something he'd love to see. One class every student had to take each year was about how to act around humans. It seemed obvious to him, but apparently not everyone knew common knowledge.

Kevin listened to her and shook his head. "That doesn't make you a freak.. it just makes you different." he said with a nod, a slight shrug forming at his shoulders. "I like that you're different.. and being here will help you control things." he said with a nod, walking over to her and hugged her. "So I.. I just want you to know you have me here if you need to talk." he said lightly.

He rubbed her arm and then went back to putting things away. "So that's great that you're here though. I just don't want you to feel like you're weird or strange." he said. "You're just special."

Willow smiled at him and then stretched lightly, wondering how he would be able to find her. "Wait.. how would you find it?" she asked curiously. It would be interesting to know how he would find her when he wanted to. It almost gave her small butterflies in her stomach. Looking at him she nodded at his mention of his classes. "Me too.. everyone else treats me like I'm some sort of plague." she whispered. "Witches know I'm very powerful.. and they don't understand it. Not that I do either." she said.

Walking with him she pulled her cloak around herself more tightly, glad that she could heal her neck so no one would know. She didn't want to get him into trouble, but she had enjoyed when he bit her. Something about it made her feel nice.

Elsbeth was caught off guard by his hug, not use to the action. When he let go she watched him, happy he didn't look down on her. "Thank you. It means a lot to me." She sat down in the spot he had cleared for her, looking around. "You have no roommate." It was a statement, not a question. It was clear to see that he was all alone in here. "I wish I was in a single room." That sounded bad. "Not because of Willow. I just like my privacy."

A bell started to toll, letting them know dinner would be done in ten minutes. Good. Elsbeth was getting hungry. "I appreciate the flowers, by the way. It was a very friendly gesture." In her mind Kevin would want nothing more than friendship with her.

Adam smirked and tapped the tip of his nose. "Your scent is very distinct." And now that he had fed from her it would be even easier to find her. He heard her mention people treating her like the plague and frowned. "Well, that's stupid. No one should treat you differently just because you're powerful. If anything, they should want to get on your good side. Plus, being powerful doesn't mean you have no emotions or feelings."

He heard the bell go off and sighed. "I guess that's the sign that you should get dinner." He hated being one of the only vampires here. It meant that they were the only ones he had the chance to hang out with during dinner time. He didn't like a single one of them.

Kevin smiled at her and nodded. When she mentioned a friendly gesture he frowned and shook his head. "I mean I want to be your friend but... that wasn't a friendly gesture.. I think you're interesting and I like you." He said. He shrugged and then heard the dinner bell. "Why don't you sit with me?" He asked.

She didn't know anyone else so he thought it might be nice. Not to mention he liked having her around. He smiled at her and then showed her around. "I'm glad you're at least thinking of us as friends.. it's a start."

Willow smiled and then blushed lightly when he mentioned her scent being very distinct. "A good smell I hope?" She asked. When they arrived back at the school she sighed and waved to him. "Well.. I'll see you." She said softly, smiling at him before going to the dinner hall, pulling her shirt skirt down slightly. As she walked in she felt the other witches quiet down. She bit the inside of her lip and went to get her dinner. Once she did she looked around, trying to find a place to sit, but felt a million eyes on her.

After a moment she just walked quickly leaving the room, feeling very upset. Looking around she sighed and headed outside and sat under a tree, eating slowly as tears filled her eyes. Coming here she thought it would be different that people would accept her but it was just the same at being at home.

Elsbeth sat there, shocked and confused. "Oh...I...Already? I mean, I thought it usually took a while to start liking someone." Apparently she was very wrong. She agreed to sit with him and started towards the dining hall. When they got there, she got her food and found a place to sit. It was away from everyone else, and that's how she liked it. Of course, the room would fill up more, but for now this was perfect.

As she ate, she thought about what Kevin had said. He liked her. What was so great about her? He was always around Willow so shouldn't he like her? Her father had kept her in the dark way too long. Elsbeth stabbed a piece of her chicken with her fork, frowning slightly.

"Very good." Adam smiled and waved back at her, watching her leave. He started to head back to his room, but then remembered his book. He had left it in the cove. He went back and got it, starting towards his room once more. That's when he saw Willow under a tree.

He approached her, a frown on his face. "Why are you eating out here?" It was clear to see that she was upset, and he didn't like that. Adam sat down next to her, not knowing what he should say. Maybe she didn't want to talk about it.

Kevin walked in, getting his dinner and then following her to a table far away from everyone else. He sat with her in silence as he ate, wondering what she was thinking about. He ate and thought about classes starting up tomorrow. He looked at her and then kept eating. He glanced up at the room around him and then sighed. "I always hate meal times.. look at how everyone pairs up in groups and doesn't make anyone feel welcome." he said quickly. He looked at her and shook his head.

"I hated it my first year.. then I got used to sitting alone.. I don't like other witches looking at me like a piece of meet." he said shaking his head. "My parents have a lot of money.. and are very politically involved." he said with a shake of his head.

Willow looked up in surprise when she heard Adam speak. She wiped her eyes and shrugged, pushing her food around with her fork. "I just.. I thought coming here people would be nicer to me.. but everyone treats me the same as at home.. no one wants me to sit with them and no one wants to talk to me." she said, looking up at him teary-eyed. "I'm sorry.. I don't know why I'm so upset or why I'm telling you." she said. After he fed from her she just felt like they had some sort of closeness that would grow.

"I just had a picture in my mind of how everything would be and it's nothing like I thought it would be." she said softly. She rubbed her eyes again and set her tray aside. "They all just looked at me and every time I tried to sit down they would move or something so I couldn't sit." she said. "I can't stay here if it's going to be like that the whole time." she whispered.

Elsbeth nodded, hating it as well. SHe looked up and scanned the area, seeing Willow no where. Where was she? When Kevin mentioned being looked at like a piece of meat she frowned. "Well, that's not right. Back home money means nothing. Everyone is taken care of. It wouldn't be right to punish someone by giving them less just because their job isn't great. Really, everyone's job benefits us. Even the people that do the little things."

She ate her food, not really caring what it was. Elsbeth was so overwhelmed by everything that had happened lately. A little yawn came from her, an apology following it. "I guess I'm more exhausted than I realized. I guess it'll be an early night for me."

Adam shook his head and took her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Not everyone is like that. I don't mind being around you. Everyone that treats you poorly is just missing out of knowing you." He wiped away a tear she had missed, hating to see her like this. "Come on. You need to eat." She hadn't really eaten her food, and he knew she needed to. He grabbed the tray and put it on her lap, hoping he could convince her to eat at least a few more bites.

"Honestly, do you want to know people that treat you that way? They aren't worth it. There has to be someone other than myself that doesn't treat you poorly. We'll find them." Adam hated feeling like he needed to comfort her. He shouldn't let himself grow attached to her. Still, he couldn't help it.
