Babylon smiled. While he had grand plans for there one day being a more efficient way to get newbie knights up to speed, for now he did his duty with grace and dignity. "Well," he said, "I don't have a better alternative yet, and someone's got to do it.' It worked out pretty well for him - he was never lacking for friends these days.

"You ever need help," he told Verona, "You can call on me. I'm a good hand in a fight. The lantern packs a punch, and the magic's not bad."

He was confident that he could hold his own against anything short of a general sovereign - but very few people could hold their own against them, so wasn't going to give him a complex or anything like that.

"Chaos takes a lot of forms," he sighed. "But that's okay. There's strength in numbers, and there's a lot of us."

Babylon tossed Verona a neat salute. "Looking forward to it," he said. Babylon was always game for helping other knights out - especially when they seemed as level-headed and up for learning as Verona. Eager students were the best kind to deal with.

"I'm gonna head home, too," he said, getting to his feet. It wasn't late, per se, but he felt like he'd accomplished enough tonight to justify going home and snuggling into bed beside Arkady.

"See you soon, I hope?"
