The large, hulking brute shook his head at Ida as she apologized but couldn't find the words to tell her not to worry about it. It certainly wasn't her fault that he had chosen such a self destructive path, but neither could he really explain himself without delving into the very things that he was trying to forget. It was already enough that the thought of disappointing her, or worrying her, was already drudging up all kinds of complicated feelings in relation to people she probably didn't even know existed.
"Yea, home," he murmured lowly beneath his breath, then let his power go with much less effort than it had taken to call it in the first place. He was more comfortable as Kam, on any day of the week, and it was probably becoming more and more obvious with how little Gehenna was seen at all.
Without being invited, he slung one arm across Ida's shoulders and leaned into her - not much for the weight support, but because he seemed willing to admit that his own two feet were not functioning properly. Add on to that all the new soreness from a poorly fought battle and he had a recipe for falling flat on his face if he wasn't careful. Luckily, being as tall as he was, he could just write it off as walking home with a pretty girl under his arm.
"Thanks," it was a soft admission as he pulled her into a walk towards his condo, but he didn't look down at her. He didn't want to see whatever worry still lingered on her face. "Ahm not all here sometimes." And that was likely to be the most she was going to get out of him, at least for now.
