It was really weird. Here he was clinging from the neck of a youma, something that was usually a horrifying prospect. But the fear that he usually felt.. it was dulled somehow. Was it bravado? Or maybe the conversation was simply distracting him, amusing him too much to be bothered by the usual 'OH MY GOD OH MY GOD' that usually took him over.
"It's called an aspect, and you'll be able to do it too at some point." He spoke through gritted teeth, kicking his feet and kneeing at the youma's back as he dangled.
Between punches, and arrow stabs, and kneeing, and the burn of Cosmos the youma finally succumbed, poofing to dust. At which point Bimini dropped like a stone onto his a**, before splatting out tired on the pavement. The silvery sparkle of his aspect dissapaited leaving him simply covered in sweat and youma dust, groaning from where he lay.
"You'll need to get your ring and become a squire. But once you do that you can use that cool sparkle attack. It burns the bad guys. And it's not unlimited but.. it sure as hell comes in handy."

He was giving a good bit of information sort of like a tutorial and she nodded when he explained that his glow was called an Aspect. "Sooo, the ring. . . is I'm guessing a quest item since I clearly don't have one yet."
She actually sat down on the ground beside of him legs folded off to one side as she watched him just lay there. "That's good to know, at least it burns the bad guys. So it's a level up and quest attack, I see. . . "
She was tapping her chin. "What level do you find the ring? Does it matter?"
She paused, "Also you mentioned the human versions of these dungeon monsters. What are those called? Also, besides knights do we have factions? Obviously there appear to be races."

His eyes closed, chest falling and rising as he attempted to catch his breath and slow down the beating of his heart.
"Mine was definitely a quest, yeah."
"I went to my Wonder and my ancestor decided it'd be fun to screw with me and give me hints where to look for it. I've heard some other knights saying that theirs weren't at their Wonders at all though but were like.. family heirlooms, though obviously noone realized that the rings were magical or anything."
"I don't think level matters for the ring. It's just about finding wherever it was stashed away. And I highly suggest you find your ring asap. Even if only for this."
Eyes openned, searching through his robes for a second before producing a tiny pen and piece of paper. He scribbled for a second, stamping the note with his ring before Odainsaker could try and see what he was doing.
And next thing she knew a letter appeared in front of her.from Bimini Hey, Listen! *followed by a quick scribble of Navi*
"And then on the other side they have Negaverse agents which is there version of dark knight I guess. Corrupted senshi, corrupted famliars, and..." He paused trying to figure out how Dark Mirror senshi fit into the mix.
"There are actually two different kinds of dark senshi. The Negaverse ones and the Dark Mirror ones. Not really sure what the big difference is in them to tell you the truth."
"Long story short, you see white and light colors and you're probably good to go. You see black and dark colors or creepy holes in people then go the other way. The spidey sense should help you out too." He tapped his head at the end.

Odain was watching and listening to the Squire. Making mental notes as he spoke and gave a small squee when the note appeared! "Ohhh I have to find mine soon~! I mean seriously if you can see cute notes like this and be all Navi That's awesome!"
She seemed thoroughly excited, "This is sooo much faster than normal mail. Even email I think!" She paused, "Oh good, I'm glad it's not a level thing. So it's a base quest anyone can do which is cool."
"So do the familiars talk?" She asked eyes sparkling as she asked emotion_kirakira , she had to know. If all this was as magical and exciting as it was starting to sound even though she was still almost questioning how much of a dream she was having. "Okay so we're the meat shields then. . . . which lovely. I'm totally dressed for tankin'. For the mages, so they can cast? And then I guess the familiars are guides."
She wrinkled her nose at the mention of dark mages and knights, "I meet one of the Dark knights. So that explains a lot. I thought I felt a weird creepy sensation with that one. She was taking something from someone. . . they were pretty tired after she was finished. . . " She said with a shake of her head. "What was that then? Because she totally didn't look like a mage."
"Okay Light is good, Dark is Bad. . ."

Whelp, that was that. Whether she knew it or not Odainsaker had just signed herself up for random messages. She could expect to be spammed by little notes when she least expected it. And considering the fact that Bimini had once attempted to send pizza through knight messages (it had failed) who knew what she was going to end up with.
"Oh yeah, the Guardian cats most definately talk. Some will talk your ears off if you aren't careful."
He was enjoying her enthusiasm now that she was getting into it, and her explaination of it like a game.. it almost made him want to play even though he knew better and knew he really really didn't. When she made a comment about her outfit, his eyes drifted again, laughing. "I don't know.. In a lot of the games I've played the higher level the female armor was, the less it seemed like they were wearing any, so you might have lucked out."
His eyes lingered for a moment before he forcibly pulled them away, looking up at her face as he pondered over what she was asking. "Oh! She was probably draining energy. The dark knights can drain your energy and stick their hands in your chest."
"Don't let them." He added seriously.

She started laughing, "Oh good, more tutorial companions."
She said with a serious nod. She liked having those that gave tutorials. "Is there a way to tell them from normal cats or not really?"
She paused thinking about this, "You're right, the last female assassin I played was pretty skimpy dressed. Huh, oh well I guess the universe does have a cosmic sense of humor."
There was a moment where Odain didn't say anything before a slow oooh, came from her mouth. "Eh, that doesn't even sound pleasant either of them. Why would I want a dark knight fondling inside my chest!? What is even in there they'd want!? Are they like Regina from once? Because really, I'd rather like to keep my heart thanks."

"Most of the time the cats will come up on you already talking, because they can sense us too. But if you meet one when you're not powered up.. They've all got a star marking in the middle of their forehead." Pushing his bangs back he poked at the center of his own forehead, before making a circle shape with his finger, as if to show her how large the markings usually were.
At the OUaT reference he had to think for a moment to make the connection, before shrugging his shoulders. "Ahh it's actually a little bit worse then that. If they get at your starseed they don't just get to control you. They'll either turn you into one of the bad guys or maybe even take it out completely which kills you."
"Your starseed contains all your energy I guess.. so when someone takes it away your life force goes with it. KO." His eyes had drifted again downward as he spoke about her starseed and when he noticed he was chiding himself again silently in his head. Get your s**t together Corey, it's not like you've never seen a pair of boobs before. But then again.. just because you'd seen one pair.. didn't mean you didn't want to see all the other ones out there...
"So uhhh.. Maybe we should call it a night? I could show you were I live so that if you have questions later you'll know where to find me?"

"Oh well that's good to know." She said with a nod and then when he explained the star shaped marking too she also nodded on that, "Okay! I think I can remember that."
She paused, "Well... I mean she crushes hearts and kills them. But that does sound worse. . ." As she thought about this idea and gave a small shudder as he continued to explain about starseeds. "I see. . . "
She paused, "Yeah it's probably pretty late or early depending on how you look at it. . ." She paused as he offered to show her where he lived. Well. . . "Okay-- Sure why not It'd be nice to know as a back up, specially until I find my ring." It seemed fairly harmless after all.

She seemed hesitant, which was a bummer, but she eventually agreed, so Bimini shifted to get up, offering a hand back down to her.
"I've got a little bit of healing magic, well.. more like numbing magic. But anyway if you're ever injured at least you'll know one place you can go in an emergency."

She smiled as she took his offered hand and stood up brushing off her sheer dress. "Oh that's cool. . . I wonder what my magic will be like. I guess I don't get that until I actually level up."
She nodded, "So since you seem like the type - what sorta games do you play?" She asked as they walked.

"Yep, got to level up to squire before you get the magics." He confirmed as he began to lead the way. "But hopefully you'll get something cool. For mine like.. I splash some of my water on you and if you're injured it's like taking a really good painkiller. But if you're just tired it's like.. rejuvinating you know? Fountain of youth in a bowl."
"I've seen some knights with magic that's actually helpful in battle." He added after a moment, as if he was afraid she'd be worried that her powers might suck.
Her question drew a laugh out of him, an almost maniacal laugh, before he rubbed his hands together. "Well... I own an arcade so kind of a lot of them. Technically I'd say I play all 'sorts' of games, even though I haven't played every console or computer game. Fighting games, first person shooters, action games like those dancing or boxing ones, vintage, strategy, rpgs, survival horror, even a couple of MMOs."
"Gotta stay cool and relevant with the kids, you know." He winked.

Odainsaker chuckled and shook her head. "I still have a hard time believing this isn't some fancy larp or a dream." She admitted as sh walked with him, paused as he said hopefully she'd get something cool.
She nodded again when he said some powers were actually usuful but pain killers sounded pretty decent considering the fact this was more real than she actually thought. "Are there other cosmos knights besides you and me?"
She stopped when he said arcade, "NO WAY!? An arcade? Sounds as fun as what I do." She admitted as she hummed walking. "I know I perfer the cuter styled mmo's. I'm not a fan of what's that one . . . Halo? Eh nawh gimme some good old Nentendo or Classic arcade if I'm not playing Ragnarok Online."
She shrugged, "You can't always stay cool and relevant with the kids. Sometimes you just gotta cut to the classics and just appeal to the kid's sense of imagination." There was a pause, "I think it gets you further with them than trying to continue to be one of them."

"Oh there are plenty of other knights. Cosmos and beyond. Just the other day I met another Cosmos knight named Hyperborea. But I mean there are Mars knights.. and Jupiter and Earth, etc etc."
There was a bubbling of pride in his chest at her response to his work place. The arcade really was his pride and joy, and it wasn't often a seemingly grown woman reacted as pleasantly as she had to it.
"What kind of work do you do?" He asked since the topic had been brought up.
The hummings lights of Electric Dreamz could be seen finally in the distance and slowly but surely they got closer, until they stood in front of the two story arcade.
"We've got some classics in here too if you ever want to stop by for fun." He didn't know if she's bite, but it didn't hurt to offer. "But if you're ever hurt, in trouble, or have any questions feel free to stop by. There is a door in the alley in the back."

Odain smiled as she listened and followed him with her arms behind her back, looking interested in the topic. "And we all fight this . . . Negaverse then" She asked looking a little confused, "Is there anything else besides monsters' and the negaverse we have to watch out for?"
She paused when he asked about what kind of work she did, "Well, I'm a story teller and usually work at like renfests, though I cosplay too and occasionally can write a column for the local newspapers about events." She answered with a shrug. "Nothing horribly glamorous but all fun."
"Ohh, classics huh? Pac man?" She asked curiously. There was also a nod when he said if she was ever hurt or in trouble that she could drop by, "Cool, I'll keep that in mind!"Iris_virus Told you I owed you a tag - just the wrong characters LOL =P

"Uhhh well... there are these dark senshi that can be troublesome sometimes. And then sometimes some strange s**t will show up from who knows where. Like.. not super long ago there was this creepy shadow lady. I don't know if you remember back when we had that strange eclipse for days awhile back?" He wished he could be better help, something more concise and certain. But mostly he just looked dorky and sheepish, rubbing the back of his head as he tried to explain. "You'll like.. feel it in your gut though if it's bad and you should be attacking it I think. And obviously if it's trying to kill you that's an enemy."
Her 'profession' brought a wide eyed gaze of appreciation. Whether she thought it was glamourous or not he thought it was super cool. He wondered softly what kind of things she cosplayed or what part of the ren fairs she tended to place herself.
But she was already talking again and Bimini couldn't contain himself. "Of course Pac-man! And Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Frogger, and handful of pinball machines. What kind of self respecting child of the 80's would I be without those?"LP For some reason I thought we finished this. Like I think I even marked it as finished in my journal - derrrrrp.
