Oh, it was one of those was it? Chivalth wasn't one to go all shouting about how astounding he was. That was for younger, more bull-headed dragons. He was near the back of the pack anyway and didn't fancy getting shoved my some bronze intent on proving his strength. If it went the brawl way he wasn't sticking around for it. Bad enough having thread attempting to mark his hide without dragons trying it too.

She drifted for a moment, granting her pursuers a chance to catch up. Her eyes caught the barrow roll of Imbeleth, and she called to the bronze. 'Are you Flying or just doing acrobatics up here?' Killakeeth did note that he was the closest one by far for the moment. She trilled back at the back. 'Come! Come! We must catch the sun!' Her tone sparkled with laughter and mischief. Where else did the sun go but down?! Killakeeth turned her nose downward and collapsed her wings against her sides. The dragon dropped whistling through the air. Her eyes narrowed as she focused on the ground swiftly rising toward her.

On the ground Vosin heard some gasps around her as some people thought something might be wrong. Her lips twitched slightly. 'Remember you're not trying to smash them into the ground dear.' She could feel the dragon laughing. Yup that was Killa. They would have to prove to her they could handle it.

Now this was a bit more like it!

As the gold plunged toward them Malcarreth twisted to follow her, tucked his wings in tight and dropped into a vertical stoop that would have made any human riding with him pass out from the force of his speed. <> Malcarreth said to Killakeeth with a snort of amusement.

Hanging back had been a good choice; the gold dropped towards him and all Acriculeth had to do was tweak his course slightly and drop into a calculated dive. Hitting the ground, or another dragon, was the last thing he needed to do.

Okay, okay, now we were dropping. Dropping was nice, it was easy. Plus, being at the back gave him even a small advantage. He wouldn't have to twist as fast to get as close. That was good. Closing his wings, the brown dropped. Rolling in the air to get into position as he fell so his nose pointed to the ground. The brown didn't seem too concerned about the drop itself. He knew exactly when to pull up so that he didn't crash face first into the ground. What a mess that would cause...

Both! Imbeleth answered cheerfully. So she'd noticed! When she dove he showed off a bit more by doing a backflip as he turned to follow her.

Plexith ignored the taunts of the others for a time, let them showboat and goad, rather he put his mind to the task and was rewarded by catching up a little bit. There were still some closer but..there were some behind as well and there was still time.

The golds dive had brought her closer to Jaggeth though the passive brown knew it wasn't through any real attempt on his part, still making up the slight ground was enough to light just a bit of competitive thoughts in him and the wildly marked brown beat his wings harder in an attempt to make even more ground.

Her eyes narrowed as she focused on her fall. Inattention now could mean her death. Killakeeth was pushing the limit of how far she could go before she had to pull up or crash. She flared her wings suddenly and pulled out of her dive. Zipping across the land she glanced back. She wanted to see how low they dared to go.

'Only three Malcarreth?' She teased the blue, then laughed at Imbeleth's cheer. Killakeeth spread her tattered wings and used her speed to shoot upward once more.

When Imbeleth realized what Killakeeth was doing, he would have grinned if it wasn't a bad idea to open his mouth while diving straight down. He could have so much fun with this!

He didn't slow his fall in the least, keeping his eyes on the ground and carefully judging the distance. When he was very near the ground, he turned his fall into a tail-over-snout somersault. As he did, he flared out his wings to slow himself down just a bit. Not enough to stop entirely, since he landed on the ground hard, all four feet smacking into the ground at once and his knees bending a bit to absorb some of the impact. In an instant he used the remaining momentum to help power a skyward leap, shooting back into the air as he continued to pursue Killakeeth.

The gold was still ahead of him, too far perhaps but he wasn't going to give up yet! Even as Imbalath drew close to her Malcarreth strained to close the gap, driven on by don't you want to show them what a blue can do? Yes, oh yes he most certainly did want to show them! All of them! He especially wanted to show his rival males... and Killakeeth of course, she was the star of the show today! Malcarreth bugled a challenge to the other males and tried to find a last burst of speed in his muscles.

He was doing well? That was unexpected. Still that certainly made worth throwing in effort here. Killakeeth might consider him after all. It had been a while since he had attempted such a manoeuvre, but it was worth the risk.

Pressing his wings to his sides Chivalth worked to make himself as streamline as possible, building up speed as he shot toward the ground. Elsewhere his rider tensed up as he drew closer to the ground, they weren't the reckless children they'd before and naturally his rider was a little concerned. Snapping open his wings the brown twisted into a tight V, shooting upwards. He beat his wings twice before snapping them shut once again and twirling as he made a wide arch after the gold. It was a showy way of controlling his movement, but at this stage of the game why not throw in a little flair?

The dragon rumbled with laughter at having spooked his human.

Killakeeth gained quite a bit more height once again. She took a leisurely look over her shoulder to find only two males anywhere close to her. Two choice: one bronze, one brown. The gold wasn't too tired by all her flying yet, but she was getting bored. Most of her suitors didn't really seem to be trying. It was up to her to finish it. Killa considered her two final suitors once more as she swooped toward them. One of them certainly stood out to her. The dragon kited across the wind and grabbed hold of Imbeleth, claiming him as her mate.

'We shall fill the skies with our fun Imbeleth!'

Winner: Bronze Imbeleth! Congrats!
