Her eyes followed him as he returned to the desk, digging through papers and books. Her interest was perked but she was trying her very best not to look like she was being nosy.
But there was no denying that she was interested.. excited even? Maybe some of his peppy-ness had sprinkled onto her via that hand holding. What in the world could it be?
When the book was offered she looked at it curiously, before her fingers reached out tentatively to secure it. Her grip was delicate, fingertips running lightly over the old binding. "I wonder why she gave it to you...? Well.. him." She voiced thoughtfully.
"I guess we were friends even back then." The thought brought a tiny smile to her face.
Pulling the book protectively against her chest, she shifted a bit. "Thank you very much for returning it. I should probably let you get back to what you were doing."

"Not sure," said Celsus with a kind smile. "But I was positively delighted to learn that it was from you - or rather, from someone who you once were. I thought it was just another one of the books that was left here, so imagine my surprise when I saw the name Conchordia on the cover!"
He gave a laugh of pleasure, not commenting on her soft friend comment, because Celsus didn't want to make her feel even more buried in compliments than he'd already made her. But he stepped back around the desk to put enough space between them to give a low bow, one arm bent against his stomach, the other tucked behind his back.
"It's been an absolute pleasure speaking to you, my dear," Celsus said as he straightened. He reached for Conchordia's hand to give it a little squeeze.
"You will make it through just fine, all right?" he told her reassuringly. "Please do let me know if you need help finding someone to help you on your way, and please also let me know how things are going."
He held her fingers gently. "I care very much about your well-being, so don't be a stranger, all right?"

His antics and bow were enough to crack her smile even further, the tinest hints of a giggle escaping, even as a hand raised up to her mouth to try and prevent it.
It was that hand, as she lowered it, that he squeezed and for once she returned the motion, albeit much lighter. So light that he might not have thought anything of it other than a twitch if he didn't know her and her 'quirks'.
"I'll write you if I have any problems." She promised with a small nod. Well.. important problems at least. Problems and things that seemed big enough to bug someone with.
As she turned towards the door the page paused suddenly, adding a final thought. "And to update." She might have really meant 'just because'. But she'd do her very best to make sure there was some sort of information important enough to write or visit about, other than 'just because'. Because he was surely a busy man. With his Wonder, and his knightly work, and even his comic.
With one final lift of her hand, a subtle version of a wave good bye, she made her way out of his Wonder and back towards her own. She had a book to pour over after all.kuuropii Fin? Annnnd I hope you don't mind that I said Celsus was the one to set up Pharos and Conchordia's patrol date?
