NovaCracker He is actually glad she's asking so many questions. It's a good thing. "Starseeds are these... little crystals inside us. It's where our power lies, and is tied to our life force. These crystals are very important, and if Chaos gets into them, we can be corrupted. Turned evil. And if the starseed is taken from us, we cannot survive. But all beings have them, not just knights or senshi or the negaverse. Innocent people become targets, because their starseeds are unprotected."
He frowned, shaking his head and waving his hand in an effort to clear up some of the confusion about the negaverse.
"Ah, no, they're not ninjas. They're militaristic, but they are like us: varied in their physical appearances and their powers. They're fueled by Chaos. And eventually, sooner rather than later, I'm afraid you'll run into one. Hopefully, though, you'll be more prepared than most when you do encounter an enemy. Asking all these questions and seeking information is an important step toward that, so you're already doing well!"
He offered her a bright smile, looking very much the part of a proud but worried dad.

Lithiasaur One day her failure of sense will show. Cordoba blinked. "So.... They steal souls and send out the survivors as evil drones." She said, as if confirming, and she tilted her head. "Does that make Chaos a demon?" And was Camelot okay? She hoped so what was he worrying about.

Camelot frowned.
"I think I might have lost you, somewhere in all that. I know it's a lot to take in, honestly. It's sometimes easier to see than to explain, though hopefully you'll have someone with you when you patrol. That way they can explain what is going on for you. Ah. But no, they are not stealing souls, nor are their minions drones, technically. So. I've completely failed in explaining things."
He sighed, running a hand through his hair and looking a little vexed. After so many years at this, one would think he would pick up how to explain things in an understandable way.

"Oh. So not souls, not... Weird." Cordoba blinked, looking apologetic and reached to hug the older knight warmly. "Ity's okay, you're trying, I just. Kind of have a hard time wrapping my mind around it all." She admitted, and stepped back, looking down sheepishly. "You're the second person in this I know. Are we a sentai team?"

Camelot smiled, stooping a bit to be more level with her eyes, leaving his hand on her arm after she gave him a quick hug.
"I have a team, called the Knights of Destiny, and you are welcome to join it, if you'd like. Even if you don't, I can help you in any way I can, and you can always find me at the library if you have more questions. I'll do better to answer. I think the best way for us to do this, and for you to learn, is to see things in person. We can patrol together, and I can keep you safe as you're getting your feet beneath you. Does that sound like a better plan?"
Some people were bad at conventional schooling, after all, and needed to see and do more than they could learn by just hearing and taking notes. He had never been a good test taker, after all.

"Team? Like a broadcasting team?" Cordoba looked up with wonder again, unintentionally acting younger than she actually was, but communications and music.... Ah, those analogies worked wonders for her and the girl blinked, head tilting. "Would I get to talk to Glitnir again? He was really nice. And I wouldn't be intruding would I?" The questions were back, but her curiousity and excitement was certainly there and the young knight blinked, fascinated.

"More like a team of knights who try to help each other, and protect the city. You would be able to talk to anyone you like, of course, and Glitnir is a good person to know. I'm inviting you to the team, so I wouldn't consider it intruding."
He laughed, shaking his head. He was always glad to have new members, but more than that, he was always looking for contacts inside and outside his court. He wanted to at least have a connection with as many knights as possible, whether they worked with him or did their own thing. They did not have to agree on everything, after all. They were still all knights.
He was dedicated to serving them, and helping them.
"At the very least, I can help you train and learn a bit more."

"I'd really appreciate help... I'm just.... How many are there? Do you know?": At least something seemed to sink in, and Cordoba wondered if it was an army. Had she been conscripted? She hoped not. That might be unsettling. But still - there was help, even if everything was overwhelming.

"Well, I don't know the exact number. In a way, there never can be an exact number, with so many people being awakened and, unfortunately, corrupted. But you will find it surprising how many different powered people you'll run into."
He had never tried counting before, but he remembered many times when there seemed to be hundreds of them gathered in one place, all fighting for their own survival, or for a much greater cause.
Too often, as he felt.
"Hey," he said gently, seeing her worried look, "don't be afraid. You'll have a lot of help, and you'll make many friends, I can promise you that. You're not alone, no matter how you feel, or what might be happening. There will always be someone there to help you. If not me, than one of the many faces you will meet in time."

"Mmm..." Cordoba shifted a moment, looking thoughtful as she pursed her lips and then looked up in concern. "I'm just worried about everything. I'm not actually sure how to do anything. Like... Fighting. How do I fight? I don't know much more than how to play music. Not... Fight."

"I know fighting can be intimidating, and the idea of it does not sit well with everyone. I know I wasn't much of a fighter when I started, and sometimes I still think I have a lot to learn. I prefer to avoid confrontation, when I can, but being able to defend yourself is critical. I can teach you the basics of defense and attack, and we can spar together some time, to help you learn."
Camelot could understand her concern. It was a lot to take in all at once, knowing that they were suddenly in a war where there was very real danger and actual threats to their safety. Their lives were in danger quite often, in fact.
Anything he could do to help ease that worry, he would do.

"Honestly, I'd appreciate that." Cordoba admitted, looking sheepish. "I'm not too terribly talented at this whole fighting thing uh... I'm... Well." Cordoba shrugged, looking woefully apologetic. "Never had to really? uhm..." And words were failing, leaving her to look at Camelot with the expression of a defeated, sad puppy or kitten who didn't know what to say or how to say it.

"Believe me, I was not very good at it when I started, either. It is not very often that a librarian has cause to fight anyone, let me tell you. A bit more in my youth, maybe, I got into a lot of fights, but that was... well. Longer ago now than I'd care to admit."
He laughed, wanting her to feel comfortable rather than like it was burdensome that she did not know how to fight. She was not very old in this war, after all, and even if she was he would not blame her for not being a fighter. It was not a skill most were born with, after all.
Besides, he took a very long time to get the hang of it.
If he could even claim that he had managed to get the hang of it yet.
"Listen, don't worry. I'll show you what I can. But maybe we'll wait for tomorrow night, hm? It's good to pace yourself, and give your mind a bit of time to wrap around everything you've heard and learned tonight, so you can come in fresh."

"If we do it late, I should be free." Cordoba said quietly, and shrugged awkwardly. "I.... Admit, I'm a DJ. I don't usually try to get into trouble unless you mean burning out mouths." But Camelot didn't need to know the Reaper was there in her apartment at all times waiting for use and replacement. Or for her to eat. Nope. No sense scaring him away.

NovaCracker we can wrap it up, then start another one set later for them to spar and practice in if you want? Later since we have a billion >> Camelot stared at her for a moment, smiling dopily and nodding his head along with whatever it was she was saying.
"Well. I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds like you're much in the same position as I was." Burning out mouths? Was that a saying kids today used, or what? He had no idea, and immediately felt very old.
It never took long for him to feel that, regardless of who he was meeting or what they were saying.
"So I'll send you a message some time, and if you're free, we'll do some training." He smiled a bit more honestly now, chuckling and offering her his hand as if to make the pact official.
