Raizen comes back into town from training,and walks into a Ramen Shop with Akifusa. He orders some tea to start off with,and some water for his companion. He was trying not to draw attention to himself,but a such a rare beast like Akifusa was sure to turn a few heads. He then began to survey the food selection while Akifusa curls up on the floor. Raizen wasn't a very picky eater so he requested a bowl of broth with some strips of meat,as well as a sweet smelling fruit drink to be brought after his meal. He thanked the waitress as his food arrive and poured half into a bowl for Akifusa. Raizen then went to pick up a spoon and dress his meal with spices and a few rice balls and dumplings before looking around for a place to sit. He notice a few of the players present whispering and looking at him and decided it would be best to sit at an empty table a few feet away from the entrance so he could eat in peace as well as make a quick escape should something happen off. He wasn't in a rush to go anywhere so he ate slowly and savored every bite as he though to himself what his next move would be. Without a guild to join or a team he would need to be extra careful. According to the rumors if you died you lost everything not equipped,or store. Not to mention the threat of thieves outright stealing your stuff. Raizen watched as groups walked past to seek their own adventures. As he waits for his drink he notices a small group of children making plans. He chuckles slightly while he unwraps his straw and listens in.
A few hours later Raizen found himself walking the busy streets of they City. It seemed after the initial panic that most people had adapted well. Seemed like only yesterday everyone was flipping out. Every moment of his day had consisted of training with his tamed beast. He rarely had a moments reprieve like today. Without anything to preoccupy his time Raizen found himself wandering the streets,watching the passerby. He eventually found himself at the shop and entered the building. There was no one at the counter so he figured that they must be in the back. He walked around the place and peruses the shops wares. He saw all kinds of weapons, crystals, clothing and anything one could think of seeing in a shop. He usually only went for things with practical applications,but after a second thought he realized he might need a new wardrobe. As he turned toward the counter he was greeted by an amazingly gorgeous woman who seem to suddenly trip over herself for no apparent reason.
She was rather tall and fair skinned woman with a very youthful appearance. Her outlandish beauty and striking elegance caught Raizen off guard. Her face has a gorgeous profile; full lips, a button nose with narrow brown, pupil-less eyes and noticeable eyelashes. The flowing locks of violet hair atop her head are styled in a short, spiky, fanned-ponytail. Many men and women alike, have probably fantasized numerous times about her voluptuous figure with her large breasts and full thighs that give her a sexy, swinging gait when she walks, her enticing derriere jiggling with every step. Raizen shook his head,and the thought dissipated. Raizen reached a hand out to her to help her up which snapped him out of his trance like state. Probably just an ditzy NPC he supposed. She grabbed his hand and Raizen pulled her up onto her feet.
"I'm sorry about that. I was just bringing in some boxes of stuff to stock our shelves with and I didn't know anyone was in here."She said in a alluring French accent. Raizen was starting to feel his face heating up so he turned momentarily turned his head to avoid the woman from from seeing it. " It's okay. No need to apologize." Raizen said while trying to calm down. Was there anything I could help you find? She asked him. ' Yeah a date'
Raizen thought to himself but quickly answered her question. " I was just looking for some new clothes and some basic supplies. Nothing fancy,maybe something in black. You wouldn't happen to have anything would you. ?"He asked trying to maintain eye contact.
" Yeah we just got a new shipment today. I'm sure we could find something you'd like."She motions for him to follow. "Here you go. By the way your that Shaman Raizen right?" she asked and Raizen was surprised to find out that she knew who he was. He nodded and looked at the clothing,as she continued My name is Altessa Le Beuex, nice to meet you. I am a big fan of yours. She said and Raizen turned to watch her face to see if what she said was true. Not sensing any lies he grabbed her hand and kissed it to be polite. I think these will do. Where is the changing room?
Right over there.she said pointing to and open stall. Raizen walks in and changes. Luckily some players had taken to selling slightly modernized designs. He walks out and shows Altessa. I see you went for the mysterious look. It suits you. Take this to. Altessa hands him a rather simplistic scarf and the basic armor set. After having the clothes tailored Raizen and Altessa take the equipment to the counter. "Thanks for your help.What do I owe you?"" The clothing is on the house,so 70 Xing. It's not everyday such a well known player comes into my little shop. How about a picture and an autograph and we call it even. Raizen smiles and takes a picture with her. He then signs it and gives it to Altessa See you around. He said as he put away his purchases. Raizen was about to walk out the door when Altessa gently grabbed his wrist.
Raizen quickly turned to face her and saw a light blush creeping on her face. Um...eh...before you go...I was wondering if you would mind...going on a date with me sometime?" She asked nervously. Raizen shakes his head no; much to her dismay and walks toward the door. I wasn't planning on staying in the city that long. I'm sorry. Maybe when I return. Altessa sighs,and kisses Raizen on the cheeks. She winks at him. Well then I guess I'll just wait till then. Au Revoir. She said. A few hours later Raizen went back to the Ramen shop and picked up some dinner. He was ready to leave town, but got sidetracked when he saw some red player, three in all, harassing a young lady in an alley across the way. He snuck up on them as best he could and listened in.
"Come on, girlie! Just party with us, and we'll leave you alone! " The first said, clearly the leader."Yeah.Your looking at seasoned warriors here"The second one, who seemed rather bulky.
The third one didn't seem as sure, and was hanging back. He was scrawny, and Raizen considered taking him down as a warning, but decided against it."No! You guys are creeps in, all you do is try to grope me and make me date you! " The girl said. Her long hair was colored a mix of black, blue, and white with two wavy black horizontal lines along one side of her head. Her eyes are large and magenta. She wears a loose fitting, long-sleeved, lavender and cream zip-up jacket with lavender cuffs over mesh armor with navy blue pants and black, low-heeled sandals.She had a curvy figure and it didn't surprised Raizen why these thugs were hassling her.
"Whats your point? Can't you see you're outnumbered?" He laughed. " We could always force yo-" Raizen cut the leader off mid-sentence.
"I don't think you will." He said calmly. "Listen here. I suggest you leave the lady alone get as far away from here as you can. The leader made a snort-like sound."You? You, a scrawny little wimp, are gonna stop us?"The thugs laughed. Raizen was unfazed as he picked up a new by pipe. He knew he couldn't take on all of them,but scaring them to death would have the desired affect. "Girl! What's your name?"
He hated saying it like that, but he had to.
She seemed stunned."Uh...my name? I'm Kotomi..." She said blushing a little. She's an indecisive type... He thought to himself."Kotomi-chan, if you're scared, close your eyes,and step back. I don't want you getting caught up in this."Raizen said. Even though guys talked big like seasoned veterans,Raizen would call their bluff. They reminded him of typical bullies,and they needed to be taught a lesson. Decus knew he couldn't take them all on at once,but if he scared the leader the others would run. Kotomi and ran a little ways out of the alley and watched from around the corner. The leader glared at Raizen,and cracked his knuckles. "Well, well. Seems we got a goody-two-shoes. It'll be fun teaching you a lesson. We three are gunna be guild members one day. No way a solo shrimp like you can stop us."
The Decus was in motion before the leader realized it.He leaped up and spun his foot, catching the right shoulder of the leader who'd pulled out a dagger, sending the weapon high into the air. The other thugs were utterly shocked to see that Decus had disarmed their boss so quickly. As he landed, Decus hung his head and pointed his the pipe at the leaders throat.His voice changes drastically. It evokes fear ,commands respect even though he is speaking normally, and although he is not deliberately trying to be overbearing, he has this tremendous,somewhat chilling strength about him that would set one on edge.
" Now listen here. I'm not really in the mood to deal with you right now. So how bout you just take off? "The boys looked at each other, confused about what happened,but don't move.
"Morons...I'm telling you to run! Run, or I make you wish you had " Akifusa appears from the shadows and growls. The frightened trio turn and run away, passing Kotomi without a second glance.
"W-wow ... that was amazing.." Kotomi said as she approached.She kisses him lightly on the cheek.
Raizen turns away and smiles."It was nothing. See ya
A few weeks later Raizen walks back into town having learned a few things from some NPC's. He once again sets off down the city streets toward the shop of Altessa Le Beuex. He was sure she'd want to hear about his mini adventure,and know a suitable place were he could get some good training in. After entering the shop and relaying his recent adventure he invited Altessa to lunch,and waited for her to get ready. Her long midnight-purple hair which was now kept in a traditional Japanese style,was combed and washed while her lips were adorned with a soft pink lipstick.The date went well and Raizen awoke the next morning and made Altessa breakfast in bed. I'll probably stay in town for awhile what do you want to do today? Raizen asked as Altessa showered and dressed.Hmm....O I know! Let's go to the Twin Moon Cafe and Confectionary! Altessa says smiling. The couple walk out of the shop and begin to stroll down the city streets. As they walked Raizen saw a lot of small shops that sold roses,swords and armor,fruits,and everything else imaginable. He followed Altessa around women buying jewelry,men trading old stories,and children playing to the center of the street where a great fountain stood. In the center of the fountain was a large copper sun,from its metal rays water sprayed in seven different directions,each reflecting a different color of the rainbow. Altessa then lead him to a large stone building with a glass window across the front.The smell of freshly baked cookies and other sweets billowed out of the shop every time the door opened. A sign above the window read "Twin Moon Cafe & Confectionary.Here it is.She said smiling as Raizen stared at the shop. She reaches out and opened the heavy door,and they walk in.The shop was full of every kind of pastry and candy,all fashioned in amazing shapes. On one side of the shop were pieces of castles made entirely of cookies,guard towers,gates,walls,and even portcullis made of pretzel sticks. On the racks next to it were chocolate figures of Sea Kings and mythical beasts. Some of them tinted with colors;strawberry-scaled dragons,white chocolate mermaids with tails glazed with golden sugar.
A completely assembled confectionary castle stood in the shop window,beautifully detailed,from the cobblestone walkway of tiny sugared jellies in front of the garden of spun-sugar trees and beds glittering with gumdrop flowers in the back. Don't just stand there. Try something. Altessa said pushing Raizen forward. He stared at the castle pieces,finally choosing a guard tower made of boiled caramel sugar dipped in hardened chocolate. Good choice.said the woman behind the counter smiling. The woman has long blonde hair and gray eyes similar to Raizens. She wears black trousers, a long black coat and a black top underneath. For accessories she wears a black feathery scarf around her neck with 2 black clips in her hair,each with lunar motifs on them. Raizen smiles awkwardly in return. I've never eaten a guard tower before ,makes me feel like a giant.he said as he reached in his pocket for some money.
Have we met before? Something about you seems familiar.He says as his eyes meet her. As he looked at her smiling face he could feel his heart being "illuminated" without warning. All his sadness was evaporating,and he felt it lift off his chest all at once. The confectioner's face didn't shift from Raizen's,and she didn't move to take his money at first either. The girl laughs a little to ease the act award tension. I feel the same way.she gives back Raizens Xing revealing the marking along her arm. Raizen recognizes it immediately as a brand;the same mark he himself has both here,and in the real world. He tries to play it off and asks the woman a question.Do you make any candy ships Miss.....Decus said trying to learn the young woman's name. Altessa was still browsing the shops wears;walking past tables spread with crowns,rings,and necklaces,the jewels all made of candy,and painting of locations around the world all done in colored sugar on ginger snap canvases.Of course we make ships silly. To sail thru even worlds of fantasy.She lead him to a table on which stood edible ships of every size and shape,and with that phrase spoken Raizen knew who the woman was.
