Tense but hopeful, he waited. Björn rarely made choices without weighing his options; this was something he'd thought about often since they broke up. He'd forgotten, or pushed that aside when the news had been delivered. Distance from the initial shock had granted some measure of clarity, thus he could accept it more. Not entirely, but
more. "Opening night is the plan. but you could come for any show."
Will he, won't he? Whatever the thoughts going through the strongman's head, they were mysterious and unknowable to Colin as rocket science to a layman. Certainly some ideas could be made, hypothesis and guess...but the minute details were beyond him. Still, he waited.
I won't press, if he can come he'll come...if he can't or doesn't want to, that's okay too.First words were not hopeful, but not hopeless either. Colin brightened automatically, a full-on smile flashed at his companion; Björn sounded...tired, with that last bit coming out heavy, but the important part was that he'd
try. He
wanted to. "I'll have you put on the list." As if he wasn't already, but Colin would double check and inform them he'd be coming since Björn would likely not want to meet up again to get tickets.
Or maybe he would-- Colin's train of thought was derailed as the strongman's hand fell to his waist and pulled him close. The danseur put his arms around Björn as much as possible, hugging him back and pressing his face against his chest to breath deeply. If Björn expected to be smacked or shoved, he would be sorely disappointed, Colin all but melted against him.
I don't want you to go. But... But. He
should. And he shouldn't have to be the only one doing the hard parts.
Colin leaned back enough to look up at the bigger blond, bringing a hand tenderly to his cheek. "You should go." Before it got too hard or he did something stupid. Pushing up on tiptoes he kissed the corner of Björn's mouth. "But this time, I think I will." With reluctance but also the same determination that got him through hours of painful, difficult practice, Colin pulled away from the strongman, picked up his dance bag, and made his way to the rooftop access door.
Björn had walked away twice, Colin would try to spare him that this time.
